If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Don't waste your time here. We bought a dining table with 4 chairs and a bench, as well as a futon. Didier Almendarez was our sales associate who appeared very helpful at the time. He told us that our dining table and chairs would be shipped whenever we would like since they had them in stock. However, the bench and futon would take a month because they did not have them in stock. We said sure that's fine. He asked us when we would like the table and chairs and we asked for it to be delivered on June 26 (since we were moving to our new house on the 25th). June 26 comes around (today) and we realized we never got a phone call or email confirming our delivery time window. So we called the customer service line who then told us they did not have the table and chairs anymore... but one was coming in on July 3 and would not be shipped until July 7. What. Oh and this is the last one because the model is discontinued. Again, what. We called both the Lathrop store and Didier to tell them about this issue, but to no avail. Actually Didier did pick up and asked for me to send a text of the sales order number and would get back to me. But he never did. I called several times but he ignored my calls. The actual store never answered either. I want to now cancel my orders because the store and Didier have been extremely unhelpful. But I can't even get a hold of them to cancel my order since I was told I had to call the actual store to cancel. Ridiculous. Will never be back. read more

So my husband and I decided to give the Ashley Furniture Store in Lathrop another chance; they were having a decent sale and the prices were in our ideal price range. I hoped that maybe, we had a one off experience before. Nope. Everything about this store, their management, their warehouse management and their sales staff are 100% horrible and unprofessional. My husband and I picked out a furniture set, that came with a couch, loveseat, rug, two end tables, a coffee table and accessory set. We LOVED and still LOVE the furniture we purchased. The sales associate was helpful in the way you can see they make commission, so essentially it was very obvious they wanted our sale. Believe it or not, after we picked our set which took roughly an hour, we ended up staying a total of 5 hours - for hiccups on their end. This process was almost as painful as purchasing a home. We were told we could pick up our items tomorrow, to call at 9am and schedule an appointment for pickup. Simple enough. The sales associate also assured me we had 48 hours from picking up our items to inspect them for damage and bring them back for an exchange. Ok, sounds fair. My father and I go and pick up the merchandise the next day at our scheduled appointment time. Once the furniture is home my husband promptly opened everything to ensure no damage, unfortunately the couch had damage to its structure. Disappointed but aware this can happen I call customer service and they direct me to go back to the warehouse the following day at 9am and promised we would be taken care of. (FYI it's an hour one way for my husband to drive) So he gets there and it's a disaster. I'll bullet point it *The warehouse manager was rude *They informed him there was no "48 hour" period (so the sales associate and the customer service agent apparently lied?) *They originally we're refusing to replace the broken couch for a new one, they instead offered to have it repaired (I've had this couch for less than 24 hours, I haven't even sat on it) *they refuse to help my husband so he has me call customer service (I'm at home) and customer service says they will have the couch ready by 11am and the warehouse manager confirms it *then the warehouse manager tells my husband she never said 11am (this places operates on lying and false information to essentially steal your money) *Then the warehouse manager says they won't have the couch until the 7th of April (she just confirmed mere minutes ago they had it) *THEN my husband notices they were looking for the loveseat, not the damaged couches replacement (THE COUCH IS SITTING IN FRONT OF THEM) *2 hours later my husband FINALLY leaves with a new couch This business operates on greedy sales associates, terrible management, and consistent lying and "forgetfulness" We love our furniture but we will never step foot in this store again. I'm willing to pay a little more and avoid the headache and stress. Do yourself a favor, don't shop here. read more

I've never been to an Ashley's store, I came in to the Lathrop location and noticed that the place is huge, probably the biggest furniture store I ever been to. When I walked in I was greeted by a guy named joe, joe was a great sales gUy, not to pushy and very helpful, I came in looking for a sofa set, but then joe told me that if I upgrade my sleep to a tempur-pedic mattress, then I could get 60% off the furniture I purchase insTead of only 40%. That was a huge difference in discount! So now we have a brand new mattress and a brand new powered sofa set! We love our brand new mattress, and we also love our brand new sofa set, looks great in our living room. This is worst experience. Got the wrong order and did reported within time frame but still not accepting exchange. My wife and I are both on hold now with Ashley Furniture. We had a dining room table that was supposed to be delivered last week. Apparently, it wasn't screwed together correctly and when they opened the table it cracked in half. I was in the other room but my son said there was wood falling off of the bottom of the table. What's more, four of the chairs didn't sit flat on the ground. I expected more for $1600. I refused the products and am supposed to get a new table and four chairs. Unfortunately, Ashley never called me to reschedule, so I had to call them. I was told rescheduling couldn't be done yet until the items had been checked back into the warehouse, and then someone would call me by 10:30 the next day. Of course, that was two days ago and... Nothing. Now, I'm placed in the BACK OF THE LINE for delivery. Yay! I should have built the table myself. One thing that was super-efficient about the process was the charging of my credit card. DON'T GO HERE! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE everything you can imagine! Deliveries kept being pushed back to a later date. Communication is all out of sync, but they'll email you like crazy though. LISTEN TO THIS!!! Delivery service drivers and installers have ZERO RESPECT for your home, especially new home. They don't wear shoe covers upon entering, leaving my new floors and rug all dirty for me to clean up afterwards. What did it for me is when they delivered one of my items. First they came much earlier than indicated on text message received. Very inconvenient, when you have plans made to work with the times given. Then when they arrived, the delivery driver straight lied to my mother, who was waiting for the item. Delivery driver brought in item and said they won't carry it to the area where it's supposed to be place and that they won't install. AND he said he needs to call his manager as it's an extra charge. When in fact, I paid for a full service delivery. Delivery driver tried to drop off item and just leave to his next, by lying to my mother and trying to charge extra. I'm glad the driver heard me cussing through my mother's speaker phone! I don't take that lightly at all, the fact that the driver was trying to take advantage of my elderly mother!!! My husband and I were promised a credit back 05/2021 we went to the store several times to follow up on the credit however they keep telling us to call the finance company to have them fix it. I have all my paper works with those promised credits hopefully everything can be resolved it's going to a year. This place is just utter garbage. Everyone who works there acts like they have no clue what's going on. They don't honor their coupons or sales stating that everything's already discounted... at every location... and online. It took 10 weeks to get our order which fine whatever but then we were told when we bought it we would have to have the delivery people watch us unbox it before signing for it otherwise we couldn't return it. I wish I would have looked on yelp before we purchased. Nice stuff, service is horrible. Bought a sofa, loveseat, chair and ottoman. I can deal with delayed deliveries, especially with Covid 19. But, the run around after they received payment is ridiculous. Received an email Sept 1st (almost a month after I purchased) that reads they don't have an estimated delivery date yet, be patient. A week later while out of town on the 11th , I received a text message saying "just a reminder, your delivery should arrive between 3 and 9 pm." I had to scramble to send someone to my house for the delivery. My son said he could get there at 3 pm. After an hour, at 1:13 PM, I receive a text saying they are 20 minutes out. I had to call my son back and ask him to get there earlier. When they delivered, it was only the loveseat, and didn't include the feet for the love seat. I called and they told me somebody missed the feet, and they would send some out, it would be three weeks. The rest of the furniture was in town, but missed the truck, so it would be a couple days. We scheduled for delivery for EVERYTHING left, for Friday the 18th. I took today off work so I can be here for delivery. I called day of delivery for an estimated time, they said they had to reschedule, and my furniture is on back order. Last Saturday, they said it was in town but missed the truck. They also said I have to pick up the chair (we paid for delivery) from the warehouse. This unprofessional company didn't even bother to call me and let me know my order was delayed again, after I took the day off. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold for 15 minutes till they sent me to voicemail. I called back to the store I bought from to ask them if my order was in the warehouse so I could just pick it up, again, put on hold and rerouted to a call center back east. Who knows when its going to show up. If I dint already receive one of the four pieces (minus the feet) I would cancel the entire order. We are all human, mistakes happen. But how a company reacts to the mistake is what matters. They wont even call me back, seems they could care less, and have no intention of getting this taken care of in a timely matter. As far as I am concerned, they owe me 8 hours of wages lost and a delivery charge refund, because it seems like I will have to pick up my own furniture I paid to have delivered. Maybe in another two months? Don't bother with this Ashley Furniture. There is a furniture store on every corner that will jump through hoops to earn your business. Not a big poster but seen all of the bad reviews on here. Wanted to give a good review for our sales rep Jacy. Let us look around and after we walked the store and narrowed down what we wanted she helped us out. Very nice. Worked out a few deals with a couch and kitchen set per manager approval. Don't ever settle for sticker price and try to treat it like a car purchase. We save almost $1000. We are picking up our furniture to avoid issues. $250 for a delivery or $60 for a Uhaul and a buddy. Long story short, we were quoted a certain price for furniture. We were told they would save that price for a few days. We came back in a few days and the price was over $1,000.00 more than quoted. The salesman seemed shocked. They adjusted the price back to what we were quoted. We asked to get a printout of the order before we ran the card to double check the order and was told they couldn't do that. That should have been the HUGE RED FLAG but we still felt the salesman was being honest. Turns out, the price was a $1,000 more because he added the top of the line mattress that we said no to as well as the protection plan that we also declined and he adjusted the price by removing two items. Didn't figure that one out until my furniture was delivered at ten o'clock in the evening. I like the furniture but the salesman are dishonest predators. You're better off buying this stuff online. Do not purchase from Ashley. The manager Alex is a liar and does not care about helping you. Was told to keep the damaged and defective furniture after going back and forth for 5 months. Sofa was purchased in March 2022, and they're still fixing the same sofa because of defective pieces they keep sending in. Manager said the return policy does not apply if you accept the home delivery. However, when I countered with the 72 hour policy of letting Ashley know when the furniture is defective, I was ignored and hung up on. I would suggest to train you managers and sales people to not lie and deceive customers. Still waiting on Ashely to "fix" the damaged sofa from 5 months ago. Run away from Ashley Furniture Outlet in Lathrop. Our furniture was delivered damaged, which unfortunately we didn't notice until delivery driver left. I contacted them within 30 minutes of delivery. After many phone calls and the run around I was finally told a "technician " would come to make the repairs? What, I bought & paid for NEW furniture not refurbished. I don't understand why they wouldn't just replace. The repairs were not a fix and I was told they would send out a second technician? At this point I was beyond frustrated. Ashley said someone would contact me for replacement. I was never contacted. I finally called them and was told i needed to take multiple pictures of the damage. I told them that the tech had pics of the repairs, I was told those weren't good enough. So I sent pics & serial numbers per their request. 6 weeks later I finally get contacted that they will be replacing my sofa & loveseat. Ashley sent pictures showing the "VIP" inspection and all was well. Today they show up with my replacement furniture and the sofa had a tear in the back! After 3 employees signed off that it was inspected and in excellent shape to deliver. Ashley had the nerve to call me and let me know they opened a new case number for me. Nope I am done and will tell everyone I know to NEVER purchase from Ashley. The entire experience was horrible. read more

Greeted immediately at the door by Alex who broke down the set up and all the deals at the moment. After we explained what we were looking for, we ended up going for an entire living room set at such as amazing deal! So I came in looking for my sons bed frame and tempurpedic box spring and I found 4 wall sconces bought them Jemea told me I can get the 2 on the wall. So today I went with my son to pick up the sconces and the box springs but at 10a.m I called (like it says on the instructions I received from them) I spoke with Sonia and she said I was only getting 1 and I said ok I know 2 are back ordered and the ones in the wear-house have been discontinued. Okay I came in about 12'ish we looked around bought bed frame. We were told to go to the pick up desk for my other items I bought we went there no one told us and nowhere on our receipt does it say we had CLEARANCE ITEMS so we didn't know that for that you have to go to a different desk. Guy told my son to walk all the way to the clearance area. He was there for 10-15 min came back told guy no one there. We then went to the clearance desk this is where Sonia sits. Told her I still see my sconces in the wall I have to go I have to pick up my son. She said guy grabbing them for you I said ok why aren't they ready I called at 10a.m and all shit hit the fan when she said you didn't have to call.... I was like what?? And she said you said you were going to be here at 12 I said yes and it's 1om and I do not see my stuff ready for pick when I specifically called you I pulled out the instructions and asked her to read it to me.... she said she wasn't I was like it says in here to call I followed your store instructions and my stuff is not ready. All this took 45 min guy brings only 1 and still Noooooo proper communication from Sonia she didn't tell me anything I told her I give you 5 more min for my other one she said nothing. 15 min went by I told her my 5 min are way overdue and still don't have my other one she said you are just getting 1 I said no I paid for 2 of these not 1. SO HORRIBLE! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE EVER. My family found a great sectional for a great price. We picked up the pieces ourselves and once we started to open the packaging to the pieces, we find out that they handed us 1 of the wrong pieces for the set. We called in regards of the matter an hour before they closed. After being put on hold for 30 minutes they insisted that we hang up and call again. REALLY?! We thought they were trying to get rid of us since they were close to closing so we stayed on the phone until one of the managers or supervisors were able to talk to us. Once we were able to talk to a higher up they informed us that someone will be able to pick up the wrong piece and deliver us the right one since it was a fault on their end. Next day comes and we call them to confirm the delivery. They told us that around 1:30 pm someone will give us a call to confirm. 4pm comes around and still no call so we call them on the matter. It takes up about 20 minutes to get a hold of someone and they told us that no one will be able to deliver the piece or pick up the wrong one! TOTAL BS!! They informed us that we will have to go back to bring the wrong piece and pick up the right piece ourselves. They could've told us that from the first call and it would've been fine. We wasted a whole day waiting for their delivery to find out they weren't going to pull through with it. We expected WAY better (or at least, decent) service than this but now it's just gotten annoying. They have horrible communication and terrible service. They're clearly unorganized, unskilled and unqualified for their jobs. HORRIBLE PLACE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE COME HERE EVER. read more

If there was a star lower than one, I would most certainly give it to Ashley furniture outlet in Lathrop,CA. there are some staff members that are sociable and offer amazing deals but then other management overwrite oral agreements that had already been made . Everything is great until it's time to check out. Ashley furniture outlet in Lathrop is contracted with the shadiest delivery company in the Central Valley. The company does not deliver items within given window and they do not answer the telephone when customers call to inquire about delivery. it was just a really bad experience that had me quite frustrated. Purchased defective furniture for my mother, called out a tech to check it out and he said he will send someone to replace the broken couch and fix the scratch in the table. Waited a month and no one called or showed up. I call Ashley furniture in lathrop and the person on the phone said her notes say the couch is fine, and didnt even mention the scratch in the table that no one showed up to fix. The woman I spoke with wouldent let me speak with her manager and accused me of raising my voice, so I had to leave work to meet them in person. They were both equally as unhelpful in person. Couch is fine, waiting on tech report, it could take months, sorry we cant help you. I had to call the 800 number to get another tech out. Sure wish I would've checked these reviews before going here! They are all spot on! They lure you in with the classic "bait & switch" technique. You look at the prices and go, whoa, that's kind of expensive. Then, the salesperson says, but wait, you can get a "manager's special discount" for 55% off. What person doesn't think, half off? Ok! But, then you get it home, and see the quality of the furniture isn't even worth that! I got two barstool kitchen table chairs that had a leg on them that was so much shorter then the others you couldn't even sit on them! So much for quality control! As other reviews have pointed out, all they want is your money! I tried calling the store numerous times, could never get through to anyone. Got a hold of someone on "live chat"(online) and all they would say is, they couldn't help me, and I'd have to call the store. I would tell them no one answers, and they would say that there is nothing they could do. I ended up cancelling most of my order, luckily, through texting the salesperson in the first few days. I also cancelled the biggest scam, the "extended warranty", which they don't tell you you need to cancel within 72 hours, which I did. DO NOT BUY A MATTRESS AT THIS STORE!! They do not stand behind their products at all, and you're unable to return or exchange your mattress like most other places allow you to do. BUY YOUR MATTRESS ELSEWHERE and have peace of mind that if you hate it for whatever reason, you're protected. I will never step foot in this store again. Sales staff and the manager of the store are only interested in your dollar and could care less about your satisfaction with your purchase after the fact. Also, sales staff, stop following people around the store, it's creepy; if someone needs help, they'll come find you. The manager is also unavailable at all times unless you work there. The delivery people also scratched our brand new floors, so this whole process has been an absolute nightmare and we're stuck with a $7500 purchase that we're completely dissatisfied with. My wife and I recently purchase a couch and within a week we noticed one of the legs was damaged. Ashley sent a technician and he told my wife and I Ashley would have to replace the couch because it was un-fixable . We've waited for two weeks and not heard back from Ashley for further notice. Today my wife called and they advised her that the technician put in the system he would come out a second time to fix it because they did not give him enough time. The tech did not tell my wife and I this in person he said it was not fixable . Ashley is now refusing to come out and fix the couch leg placement including they are indicating there is no refund policy . We are stuck with a Broken couch . They are. Refusing to help. read more

Today I received a phone call while I was at work, saying the delivery driver will be returning the new dresser to the warehouse at my request. Should be a 0. Store will not call me back with order at warehouse. They booked a 2nd party delivery but this person fell through and never called so our furniture was undeliverd. I spoke with an agent and found out much of our furniture was not at the warehouse at all so we would have had just some of our order delivered. She said this often happens given their system . I asked to speak to a manager but they were busy. Was told they would call back today. Guess what? NO CALL. Unfortunately we had gotten rid of our other furniture already because we were told it would be delivered last Saturday. This furniture is for staging our house. We were also so lucky to be greeted by Sean Graf when we walked into the store and couldn't have felt better cared for from our initial questions to after our items were delivered. He did an amazing job following through our questions about inventory availability and delivery logistics. After spending more time with the couch we ordered, we happily describe it as beautiful, affordable, and comfortable. And the bunk bed feels sturdy enough to take on rowdy kids.
