Such bad service I do not know how they are still in business. The manager will look you in the face and lie to make a sale. They have no return police so even if they cant deliver the matching peace you will need to ask their permission to return a product. Save yourself the headache and go anywhere else for furniture. read more

The sales staff is good but the boses have an arrogant attitude towards customers. Went to buy a king bed and was quoted $500. Went to buy the next day and was quoted $600 for the same bed. The boss's attitude was as if they are doing us a favor. Had a bad experience overall. read more

We paid 100% upon purchase. That was four months ago. As of today, we still do not have our furniture. The manager is never available when we call. That same scenario has happened three times, delaying our furniture delivery. Today, I was told the piece missing was on "backorder" due to the manufactures closing. Now keep in mind, that Ashley has had my money for four months. We were told the furniture could take 8-10 weeks when we ordered and clearly that was not true. This store lies to complete sales and get their money but they do not deliver as promised. They also fail to keep in contact with customers to keep them abreast of the situation. They do not even deserve one star, but a negative rating is not an option. There is no accountability on Ashley Furniture's behalf. If we had known any of this, we would have never purchased from this store! I would avoid shopping here at all costs. read more

I do not recommend this store. They are ridiculous to deal with. They insist on sticking warranties on everything. Took me forever to buy furniture. I Will never go back. read more

Every time you call it is a different a response with respect to when your item will be delivered. It is always on the way from the warehouse. Not sure whether this warehouse is on the moon. I strongly suggest going to another store to spend your hard earned money. read more

Extremely disappointed with their service and it looks like I am not the only one based on other reviews. My wife and I purchased a bed set on 2/17/18. It's now June 2018, and we have still not received our furniture. We have called multiple times where the only update is that it is still "in transit". Today the sales manager said I shouldn't complain because I was given a "low price". The bed set was a floor sample and $2,400 may be low for them but may not be for others, and that is not how a customer should be treated. I have pictures of the floor sample 5 drawer chest that I purchased which looks similar to a picture posted here on Yelp by Oliver with the nail polish prop. I was told that the floor sample was the last set and that it was discontinued, but based on the picture here on yelp looks like it may have been sitting out on the floor for months. I reccomend that NO ONE purchase anything from Ashley furniture. read more

Ashley Store - Furniture Stores Near Me - Gaithersburg, Maryland

Rohin and his staff really went above and beyond! At first I was a little unhappy with my original transaction but with Rohin and the staff at the Gaitherburg store made it up BIG TIME. Thank you so much Ashley Homestore of Gaithersburg for being true professionals and making sure I was completely satisfied! read more

Zero stars to this store. Read on if you are considering this store, then go elsewhere. Three years ago I purchased a reclining seat sofa and love seat from Ashley Furniture in Gaithersburg. One of the straps on the recliner on the sofa had become very difficult to pull to release the recliner mechanism. It took over 3 months to be finally resolved. It took over 25 phone calls, at least 5 emails from the store to the service person (Yanci) and her manager (Ahmad), and three trips to the store to pay for service, pay for the part, and pick up the part. I requested to speak to Yanci's manager five times and was told by Yanci either that Ahmad cannot help or that that Ahmad would email me, which never happened. The few times Yanci called back in response to my messages because no one answers the phone, Yanci repeatedly called the wrong number, which had been corrected and relayed to her at least a dozen times. Several times I was told the part was ordered the servicing company was contacted to setup service and that didn't happen until I called back to confirm the service date and discovered USQ had no call to schedule. Yanci lied to me at least 5 times during this ordeal, from the cost of the service to schedule of service to ordering of the part. About half way through this fiasco, I spoke to the Ashley store manager (Rohim) and gave him a written summary of the phone calls, emails, etc., to review but he had no interest. I had to force him to take the summary, but I'm sure he didn't read it. The only person who was helpful at all was Dionne at corporate. I sincerely hope that Ahmad (Yanci's boss) and the managers of Rohim and Ahmad read this on Yelp and take action. The incompetence and lies were astounding. To the consumers looking for furniture, look anywhere else than Ashley Furniture. read more

I purposely waiting until delivery so My review can be as accurate as possible. I went to the store knowing exactly what I wanted. The sales people were unwelcoming. They all congregate together and just look at you. My salesman was extremely rude! I decided I wanted to finance and he pointed to the direction of the finance without doing a warm handoff and he was the salesman getting commission for my sale. The manager saw what he did and quickly apologized and took over the sale. If it was not for him I would have left and took my business elsewhere. Now, the furniture was delivered today. No complaints, except one of the pieces did not fit in the space. I called the store and was told I would be charged 30% for the item being sent back. I even had to ask what those amounts are as she was short with me on the phone. I think that it's ridiculous and should have been told this at delivery when I spoke to someone confirming my return of the item. Customer service is horrible across the board! I will never order from Ashley again... read more

Bought an almost $3000 couch, to have it finally show up 4 MONTHS after the original date it was to be delivered. Had it for 1 week and the back broke. Took a month and a half to get someone out here to fix it and now the fabric is piling. I've had the couch for 3 months.. I'll never recommend Ashley's Furniture to anyone. read more

Great selection but terrible customer service. I had to call in regards to an order 3 times and was told each time I would be called with an update. I was told 4-6 weeks for my order. Here we are at 8 weeks and today when I called I was told another 4. If you're looking for furniture skip here and go somewhere with less pressure to buy and better customer care. read more

Honestly, I wanted to give Ashley Furniture 5 stars but most recent events show they only merit 1. Last year my husband and I bought a wonderful sectional for $1,200 with free delivery from this store and had a great experience from dealing with the sales person to the delivery of the couch. This past January, we had flooding in our condo and our couch was left destroyed in the aftermath. We decided we still wanted the same couch and were told they would honor the price that we paid for last year even though it was currently $1,375. They were also having a customer appreciation sale in which they were offering free deliveries for ALL orders (no minimum order price was listed anywhere). As we were about to place the order for the couch, they said they would be charging us $175 for the delivery! We asked why they would be charging us for delivery if their flyer clearly started deliveries would be free this weekend and their manager stated "only for orders over $1750" which was not stated anywhere in the flyer that was sent to us! Although, they honored the couch price from last year, it felt as if they were trying to extort us for more money even though they had an advertised promo going on for free deliveries in-store! Needless to say, we did not buy the couch. This experience not only left us disappointed but with a bad taste in our mouth. read more

The absolute worst service ever!!! Will never come back unless management change or better service! My furniture was suppose to be delivered by 1/12/17 I went in to see what's going on and they told me that they didn't know when I was going to get it. But all he started talking about was the restocking fee. How am suppose to pay a restocking fee if you nor your warehouse have them? Extremely rude!!! The manager couldn't even talk to us anymore just relayed messages to a sales associate. read more

Just purchased our very first sectional sofa today and it was a very pleasant experience. We Initially visited the store two weeks ago and saw several items that we were interested in but decided to shop around to figure out what we really wanted. When we came back today we found out that sales associate didn't work there anymore but Roderick, the sales associate who we worked, took care of us, wasn't over bearing and allowed us to browse without feeling pressured to buy. When it came down to it all of the staff were easy to work with when I came to negotiating a good price. Unfortunately the items weren't in stock so we have to wait 2 to 6 weeks for it to be delivered. Hopefully it arrives sooner rather than later and the delivery process is just as easy as the purchasing process was....and I don't have to adjust my rating of the store! read more

I want to take a few minutes to tell you about Rodderick at this location. He is great, he fully understands and tries to best accommodate every customer. My husband and I had a very pleasant experience at the Gaithersburg Square Shopping Center location last week. Specifically, a very professional, knowledgeable and friendly saleswoman by the name of Amanda assisted us with our recent purchase. Amanda provided numerous options and even some seemingly unique recommendations which truly made a huge difference. We did not feel pressured whatsoever. Amanda asked very relevant questions, which made all the difference in our decision to purchase from Ashley. Amanda made us feel like a member of her family rather than just another customer walking through the door. Amanda's positive attitude and genuine demeanor was a welcome change from a few other furniture stores in the area. We could immediately sense Amanda's commitment to ensuring the customer was informed and satisfied. Amanda's genuine attitude and attention to detail were top-notch!!! Very happy customers indeed!!! read more

See how this stores total stars from all reviews is 2 star? BELIEVE IT! This store has a lot of nice (overpriced) furniture, but the service you receive after buying something is terrible. Their all about just making a sale. I purchased 2 beautiful couches as a set, that apparently a lot of other people like too because it was sold out and I was told I'd have to wait 2 weeks to 3 months to receive the couches. I really did love these couches and they were just what I was looking for and I was in no rush to receive them so I figured three months would be okay for me. First I got home and looked up these couches I bought "on sale" (left the store thinking I got an amazing deal) Only to find out the couch prices were jacked wayyyyyy up and then cut in half and that's what made it SEEM like you were getting a very good deal. I bought these couches on a Saturday and I had high hopes when the next day which was a Sunday I received a call from the warehouse saying they expected one of two of my couches to be in the warehouse within the next week and they would call me when it was there. They told me one of my couches was in the warehouse and they were waiting for the other ones. A couple weeks went by and I still received no calls so I called myself... After 1 million times I was finally told that I would have to wait longer to receive my couches, at the end of the day they came close to what they told me the deadline would be. A Nother huge complaint I have is about their warrantee program I receive my couch is in August and not even a few months later one of the hinges inside the couch is broke. I called to have them replace it since it should be covered under my warranty, right? After speaking to customer service it turns out that Ashley's furniture does not carry the exact piece I need and they were going to send a technician out to look at it. Long story short I made an appointment with the technician and he never even showed up. I bought a warranty for these couches and Ashley's furniture has done nothing to support it. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN. read more

Today is my second and LAST visit to this Ashley Furniture store located in Gaithersburg. I've just had the worse experience because of your unprofessional and arrogant store manager. I was about to spend over $7,000 this evening but because of this rude store manager who lacks people and soft skills I will never go back there. I've just informed my friends and network to avoid this store so long this guy is still there. Friendly and professional associates, worse store manager ever. I really wish there were zero stars or negative. First, the salespeople creepily follow you around the entire time you are in the store. So annoying! Makes my skin crawl! The experience was just awful. I worked with Borhan, who was just terrible. I've never in my life worked with someone who is so impossibly inept, unprofessional, and not knowledgeable about the furniture or the sales process. He never gave one piece of value-added advice, instead every statement was "I'll give you good deal." He was very abrasive in his speech, which may have been his accent. Prior to going to the Ashley Furniture HomeStore in Gaithersburg MD, we checked out the ashleyfurniturehomestore... website and really liked the Mestler dining chair. It was advertised on the website for $100, on sale (regularly $125). We get to the store and the prices were significantly higher than on the website. The same chair was priced at $239. The store was having "50% off" the entire store. This would put it at $119.50, still higher than the online sale price. We bring it up to the sales persons attention who then brought it up to one of the managers. They told us to "show us the price" before they would match it. After lengthy price and tax number corrections we made the purchase.... We were told delivery to the store "from Baltimore warehouse" would be 2-3 days and have yet to take delivery 10 days later! NEVER again will I purchase from the local storefront. Now after looking carefully at my find sales receipts I see I was billed in separate increments to include the "protection plan" which I DID NOT APPROVE! Scammers and thieves! read more

I agree with all the one star reviews. I wish there was something less than a one star. Ashley furniture store in general is the worst furniture place to go. I went to both Gaithersburg and the one in Frederick and I had the same worst experience. Never, Never working into an Ashley furniture to buy even a side table. They are never taking my money again. OH DO NOT BUY THEIR FAKE FURNITURE WARRANTY CALLED ECO Premium. They are fraud, the moment you have something wrong with your furniture, they make all sorts of excuses. Really helpful, took a lot of time with me while I selected a bed. Great deal on the price. Rod was especially nice and knowledgeable.

Customer service is so important to me!! While the salesperson was helpful, the counter people and manager were not!! I am still waiting on a call from the manager to address the problem that I have, in reference to the cost. This was my first time in Ashley's Furniture and it will be my last! All the manager had to do was call and discuss the issue, he has not...which leads me to believe he is not concerned once you leave his store. To me that translates to....I really don't need you business nor anyone you may referral! read more

I'll admit, I was more than hesitant about stepping foot inside of this Ashley store after reading all of the negative reviews on Yelp. I'm glad that I went with my gut and decided to give it a try. Immediately upon entering, I was greeted by a young professional woman named Carmen. She was very attentive and also very knowledgeable about the furniture I was inquiring about. Employees are pushy. I dropped Cash on a very nice bed frame. My problem is with their shipping and return policy. What they don't tell you is they will not give you a delivery time until mid day the day before it is shipped and that you can put in a special request (for the afternoon) only to have it completely ignored. then if you try to cancel within 72 hours/ 3 days you will still pay shipping and will have to pay another 150$ to have it shipped again. On top of it all if you have a bad experience and just want to be done with them and get your cash back, you can't. the currency is officially theirs and you will have to settle for store credit from the place that just frustrated you. talk about clingy read more

It's my first time purchasing anything from this store and was super disappointed. The day I went to make a purchase they messed up my order and I had put a down payment and walked out and about to get in my car when they realized they made a mistake on my payment plan and they yelled my name out and I had to back to the store, it was super embarrassing and inconvenient. I made my purchase back on February 17, 2018 and it's been over two months and still haven't received my order. I had called two weeks ago to see what the hold up was and the warehouse where they purchase their merchandise from had not been able to process my order because the employees at Ashley HomeStore hadn't finished processing the order. So they did it the day I called because I brought up to their attention and i called Ashely furniture to point it out. Another week went by and I called and they still hadn't received anything. Finally yesterday I got a call saying they finally received everything but still have to wait another two weeks to have it delivered. I purchased a bunk bed for my children, I only have one bed and we're sharing it. Which we wouldn't have to be if they would have a protocol and done everything they're suppose to do, without their client having to intervene and follow up on things for them. I'm super disappointed and frustrated at this point. My first and last time purchasing anything from this store. I don't recommend it to anybody. read more

I really wish there were zero stars. First, the salespeople creepily follow you around the entire time you are in the store. So annoying! I went on Black Friday weekend and the experience was just awful. I worked with Bauron (sp?), who was just terrible. I've never in my life worked with someone who is so impossibly inept, unprofessional, and not knowledgeable about the furniture or the sales process. It is so hard to put into words, but he was never straight with me on the prices - and got very annoyed whenever I would ask about the price, which in turn annoyed me. He never gave one piece of value-added advice, instead every statement was "I'll give you good deal." He was very abrasive in his speech, which may have been his accent, but then he would ask me 1000x on which side I wanted the chaise lounge and the cuddler - which tells me he really didn't know what he was doing. I saw his screen where he had added the protection plan against my explicit statement against the plan. I came to the store a few days before Black Friday and told him that I needed to check with my lender (buying a home, closing on Dec. 15) before I had obtained new credit. He tried to beat me up about that saying that it didn't matter if my credit was pulled- I was already approved for the house. I never should have come back on Black Friday, their 50% off Black Friday sale was a farce. Despite all the warning signs, I made it to the checkout counter- still not knowing a total price or breakdown, but was just overwhelmed by all their ridiculous disclaimers (a sure sign of bad customer service) and policies- restock fees, cancellation policy, and their general very defensive attitude. At that point, I just walked away, before paying anything. I am so glad, I dodge a huge bullet. Of course, all he could ask was why I was in such a bad mood. Makes my skin crawl! read more

I will never ever come to this store again. Our furniture were ready to be delivered in the beginning of October, since we were not sure when the settlement date is, so we called Ashley to ask if they can hold the order for a while, they said they could do that for us. And then on October 23rd, we finally know the settlement date, which is October 27th. SO i called them to schedule delivery, they told us our furniture is not in stock anymore, they sent back to the warehouse!!!What kind of joke is that? The manager also told me, the send back notice is system automatically generated. There is nothing they can do. Are you kidding me? How can somebody just lie like that? If you sold my furniture, you can be honest with me, and i will understand, because they are holding the furniture for us for a long time. Spent close to $3,000.00 on a sofa & loveseat. The first loveseat was delivered damaged and I sent it back. The replacement loveseat was also delivered damaged. 8 days after the delivery, I noticed that the middle seat of the sofa was receding behind the two side seats and it was shaky. I contacted Ashley and they said they would open a service ticket; however no one has followed up after multiple emails. Because of the quality of their product and the unreliableness of this company, I have requested a refund. I will NEVER purchase from Ashely again. This has to be the worst place to buy your furniture. I made a purchase 2 weeks ago so I call today because they said they will have a delivery date by now and they said some furniture is STILL pending so they are still within their 2-6 weeks period. Excuse me? Nobody told me 2-6 weeks prior to making the purchase they said 2 weeks we will give you a call let you know when the delivery date will be. And now the lady said ETA is on the 23rd of this month which will be 3 weeks of waiting and that's if it comes!!! It's not for sure. Then we have to schedule the delivery date which will probably take another week and with the looks of the reviews they will probably postpone or mess up the days. So I will basically wait for a little over a month for my furniture and when I asked for them to at least deliver the furniture that is in stock they said an EXTRA 100 on top of the amount of money I already spent in that store. NO THANK YOU NEVER AGAIN. Oh and don't bother to ask for a refund because you will only get 30% of your money. What a joke read more

My boyfriend and I had such a wonderful experience at Ashley today. We have been in search of a couch for a little over two months now and finally having sold our old one we had the money to purchase one. We went to Bob's Discount Furniture initially and felt SO pressured into buying a couch that we weren't 100% on purchasing. And on top of that once we decided to purchase it, the associate- Dre, told us we had to fill out a credit card application without bringing it up any time before. When we got to Ashley we were greeted by a lovely gentleman named Evans. We explained to him that we already had an idea of which couch we wanted and would let him know if/when we needed him. He gave us time and space to check out the couches and was present when we needed him. We explained that we were on a budget and he managed to bring the price down a significant amount with the help of his manager Rohin- another gentleman who was increadibly kind. Tia helped us with payment and was such a delight to talk too. I don't have enough good things to say about the associates at this store. We will forever be repeat customers here. Thanks a million, Ashley!! read more

Prior to going to the Ashley Furniture HomeStore in Gaithersburg MD, we checked out the ashleyfurniturehomestore.com website and really liked the Barnellla king size bedframe. It was advertised on the website for $699. We get to the store on Black friday and the prices were significantly higher than on the website. The same bedframe was priced at $1859.98. The store was having 50% off the entire store. This would put it at $929.99, still much higher than online. We bring it up to the sales persons attention who then brought it up to one of the managers. They told us the best they could do was $799 and that their store was independently owed and they have to pay rent and online doesn't have to pay rent. We asked if they could work something out with shipping to even out the cost and there was nothing they could do. Let me start by saying that I am partially to blame for my experience with this store since I did read some of these reviews, and decided to go with it anyway because I fell in love with one of their sectionals. Perhaps I just hoped to be the odd customer who lucks out with a universally derided brand (one that has entire websites dedicated to its complaints). Anyway, I bought the two-piece sectional with the help of salesman Rashad, who, much like Trusty Jennifer mentioned below, was supremely helpful right until I completed the purchase, but then promptly disappeared. The two pieces of the sectional were delivered on time--in two different colors. They left the right piece, and took the wrong one back, assuring us they would deliver the right one asap (a simple case of mislabeling). It's been almost a month now and every time I call them, I'm given the usual runaround (the warehouse doesn't have it; the trucks are overloaded; it will come next week; and most interestingly: you can come pick it up from the warehouse yourself if you're in a hurry). I am told I can't cancel because I'll have to pay a 30 percent restocking fee for the piece they conveniently left behind. When I asked them to at least waive the $150 deliver fee they charged me for timely delivery, they say they can't. Overall, there is an utter lack of remorse or any effort on the part of the store or the mysterious corporate to make it up to the customer for the inconvenience or frustration. They couldn't care less. Just to draw a comparison with a company that actually gives a hoot about customer service, I recently bought a cabinet from Home Goods. One of the doors' glass came off soon after we took delivery, and not only was the store ready to return the piece immediately, it also offered a $85 refund on the price if I kept it (replacing the glass cost just $30 and was easy). The salesperson kept asking me till the end if this was okay with me, if I was happy, and if not, she would take the piece back anytime I wanted to return it. That, my friends, is customer service, and Ashley Furniture HomeStore wouldn't know it if you slapped it around with it. I'll stick to Ikea next time. read more

I usually don't write reviews but my recent experience with Ashley Furniture has been one of the most frustrating things I have had to deal with in my life.  Part of what I am writing is cathartic and part is a warning to others trying to find the right furniture store to do business with.  I purchased a bed onlinfrom the Gaithersburg, MD Ashley location in July.   I was told that the bed would be delivered in 4 to 6 weeks.   The lead time for delivery was not ideal given that I needed the bed but I thought it was a good bed so I decided to deal with the delay in order to get the bed I wanted.  After 6 weeks I called to get a status on delivery and they told me it would be two more weeks.   Ashley never proactively contacted me to let me know that there would be an additional delay.   Long story short, I have been calling every two weeks since September and every time I call they tell me it would be two more weeks.   To make matters worse, Ashely's customer service has been extremely rude.  They have even hung up on me on a couple of occasions.   And sure, I've been upset a couple times but I'm a young mom and my son just started kindergarten this year.   I don't have time to spend all day on the phone trying to get my bed delivered.   The last time I spoke with them they told me they don't even sell this model of bed anymore.  I'm not sure what to do... I'm completely at my wits end.   I've already paid for the bed and they simply will not do the right thing and deliver it to me.  I can't trust anything they say anymore.   I know that this miserable experience is far from over.  I can only hope that this review saves someone else from the trouble and frustration I have been through.  Bottom line: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE IF YOU VALUE YOUR SANITY!!! read more
