Everything was in stock and we only had one hiccup and that was the mattress we originally purchased was out of stock and we had to act fast to replace it so it got delivered on the same truck as all of the other items!! Ashley has a great selection of high quality pieces. I usually dread going into furniture stores because the people hound you into buying something or follow you around while you're trying to look. Plus I'm 23 and people don't always take me seriously about making a large purchase. I saw a couch online and wanted to go look at it in person so I went and was pleasantly surprised. Laura greeted my boyfriend and I when we walked in and she was super nice from the beginning. She didn't make me feel pressured but she asked the normal questions to help direct me to the right section of the store. She was respectful that I wanted to "take a lap" around the store and just look. She explained the sales/pricing before we started looking. She did check on us as did the other employees when they saw us walking. Everyone was super nice. Finally I decided I did in fact want the couch and Laura helped me configure it to the position I'd want it in my living room and how it'd look/feel. The entire experience was wonderful!! Quick and easy process once I selected what I wanted. She was soooo sweet and personable. I'll definitely go back if I need furniture in the future. Furniture here is cheap crap but I needed a sofa to show a place. They charged me $70 to deliver and took 3 weeks to do so. When I got home I saw the couch was on sale for $250 less than what I paid with free delivery which would have cost me $320 less. I called the corporate office which was horrible. It took me 39 minutes to get the right person on the line who told me all she could do is send an email to their regional store and have them call me which they never did. Cannot get a person on the phone to price match this for me and it appears they have no willingness to do so. I have to fully furnish 3 more places this summer and will definitely be taking my business elsewhere as they have deceptive pricing and no customer service. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Let's start from the beginning. I spent $1,300 on a couch and an extra $100 for the GBS insurance in October 2019. I was told GBS will cover everything done to the couch I.e. pet stains, knife marks, cigarette burns, or it stolen. So of course I said sign me up. WRONG was a waste of money. I have a puppy and she peed on some of the cushions so I called GBS and asked if I could have a technician come out and replace them. They told me they only cover fabric and will not replace the cushion inside. I then reach out to Ashley's and told them about my experience and they told me that GBS is wrong and they have to replace my cushions. So now I'm being told two different things and spoke to 4 different GBS representatives all telling me they can not replace it. I once again call Ashley's and tell them and I am frustrated and ask if I can just purchase the cushions and call it a day they lady over the phone told me that it is not allowed and Ashley's does not sell parts of a couch I'd have to buy a whole new couch. I said that's absurd and she said because I got my couch in October and it's only March I am still under their warranty and they can send their own technician out to me. Jason their technician came out a day later and told Ashley's corporate I need new cushions and it is obvious and was on my side very nice and friendly. Jason said Ashley's will be contacting me in 48 hours to discuss the next steps but no one ever reached out to me. Let's fast forward to over a month later April 4, 2020 I contact Brittany at Ashley's furniture and guess what she says ... "you need to contact GBS it's in your warranty for them to replace it" and then as I continuously tell her they said no and will not replace it she doesn't believe me. She claims that she's putting a claim for corporate and they'll call in 48 hours to talk about it. I wake up today May 5th 2020 and it's a text message saying to call GBS because they will not fix it. I called Ashley's again and spoke to Brittany and once again said to call GBS for them to fix it and so for obvious reasons I am very frustrated that not only am I not being taken serious when I just spend $3,000 at their store for my living room to be redone but I am being fed wrong information by every employee because they were not Given proper training with GBS and either was Brittany which keep in mind Brittany is a manager you would think she would be very bright which turns out she is not. So anyways I'm talking with Brittany and she says "the only thing you can do next is purchase the cushions from us" and I then respond and say "I asked that in March when I came in the first place with my cushion issues but was told I am not allowed to and would have to purchase my couch all over again" she said sorry and didn't know who I spoke with trying to brush it off. I asked her if I could have a discount because this is just ridiculous I need four cushions but it's been a month and a half and I've received ZERO contact from ashelys and ZERO apologies from them to say sorry for all the inconveniences all she could say is I understand. I have never been treated so poorly by a corporation. All I need is 4 cushions that's all.... but I can't even get a phone call to talk about anything. They are doing nothing to show appreciation for the money I've spent. I also tried to brush it off and not harass them with phone calls because I understand we're in a pandemic right now but since things are slowly getting back to normal I decided to reach out and that is the service I get. Same before pandemic and same after. Do not purchase the GBS insurance if you buy from Ashley's because they will not help you. And Ashley's will not help you either if you're still under their warranty for the couch. read more

Giving this one star because at the least the salespeople were nice. However the manager (SCOTT DANCE ) was extremely rude and disrespectful, I have never been treated by anyone this way let alone in a sales or professional interaction. We came in to buy multiple pieces of furniture and were ready to spend quite a bit of money as we need the furniture quickly. We found a dining set that was on clearance which came with a rug that was extremely dirty and destroyed. We asked the salesperson what we could do about it and he asked the manager. The manager was clearly irritated that we were asking and said there was no way to exchange for a different rug and that we had to take it but we could throw it away if we wanted to. We asked if there was a cleaning service and he said no. He then proceeded to tell us that if we didn't buy it someone else would and he really didn't care what we did. After thinking for a minute we said we would take it and maybe use the rug outside. He then told us that we were being rude unprofessional and rude to the salesperson for making him ask the manager for help. He told us we could not buy any of the furniture we picked out and kicked us out of the store. We apologized multiple times if we sounded rude but that we would still like to buy the furniture and he said absolutely not and to get out. Again we apologized and he said that the set had been sold that second and would not allow us to purchase anything else. More than anything I am shocked that anyone would treat someone this way but especially in a work place. Asking for deals or discounts is commonplace in furniture stores. To be treated like a child who needed to be punished is shameful and and cruel abuse of power. We called another nearby Ashley store (Lake City FL) and we were greeted warmly and the salesperson was very helpful. She was able to give us a discount such that we paid $500 less for the dining set than was quoted at the Gainesville store. We also found out that this location in Gainesville is corporate owned which may be part of the explanation for the lack of decency or patience. 0 star if I could give to this Ashley location for dishonest to their customers. My husband and I went to look for dinning chairs and bar stools and the salesman even helped us measuring the height of the stool, which is 29-ish" and so we agreed to get 3 of them along with the dining chairs. At the checkout, the salesman quickly went over the orders (without telling how many inches of the bar stool) such as: 4 dinning chairs and 3 bar stools. We trusted him or I shall say we trusted the Ashley brand and so we made the purchase without hesitation. Everything was fine up till when we received the package, bar stool is now 24". I called the customer service and found out that Ashley in Gainesville has to solve that issue. I called Ashley in Gainesville asking for an exchange, however, the manager with the voice of accusing us for the agreement purchase those 24" height that we signed the contract and not willing to exchange them. There isn't anywhere on the invoice stated the height of the stools, or how do we supposed to understand the code numbers when we're just the buyers, perhaps they forgot who was the person entering the wrong code? I asked if she can go through the cameras footage to see the situation, she said there's none cameras in the store. (?) This is my first experience with Ashley store and last, although I like the Ashley brand, won't recommend anyone using Ashley in Gainesville where scamming is their best. read more

Well to start off... as soon as we walked in the door we were greeted, which was nice. But when we were asked if we wanted to know the deals we said no. All we were there for was a little table. But after we said no the guy preceded to show us the deals of the day. And the deal was the largest table they had there. Anyways we said again that we would not like to see the deals. But the guy said "I will show you the deals anyways." So we said fine. Then after he showed us. We thanked him for showing us. Then he started to walk with us to show us more! We said "Please do not show us any more deals." And so finally he left us alone. Then we found a table that we liked. So we went to go ask how much it was and the person said they would send someone over. When the guy (different guy) came over he looked over it and all he gave us a price and said that it was 30% off so we subtracted the money to see the full price we asked for someone to show us some chairs to go with it. So the original guy showed us some options. (the table was gold). So when we were walking the guy randomly turned around and said "I know this is a big store, but you gotta keep up." And we all thought to ourself, "Um... ok." Anyways we got to the chair and it was silver. So we said to the guy that we didn't want this chair. And the guy says "Silver goes good with gold." And we said yeah it does but I don't want it. Then randomly he said "Wait. That table is not our product. We can't do a deal on it." So then we said we might not buy it. So of course the guy said he would ask his manager. So he did and they said they could do 15%. Guy didn't even apologize for the mistake. So we walked over to their computer and they were asking for the address and phone number blah blah blah. And we said that 15% was too low and said we probably won't buy this. And because this guy was paid off commission he looked very annoyed. So then he said he would go talk to his manager. Well he came back and asked how we would like to pay. We didn't even know they decided to go with 30%. So we asked how much we were going to pay. And he finally told us they decided to go with go with 30%. So we paid and filled out the paperwork and it asked for a shipping address, but we were taking it then so we asked why we had to fill this out. They guy said "don't question what the boss wants." So we all walked to the table we were buying and he had to take some decor they had on it. And we asked if they had any boxes. He said that they probably wouldn't but he said he would go check. Guy comes back with the originally perfect box, but the guy decided to rip the box into who knows what. Box was half ripped and looked like a half cross. So now the box is separated. So we can't use half. And so finally we grab the table (guy didn't even offer to help. The table is marble. So pretty heavy) and go. Anyways this was the worst customer service. Not to mention but he left us like a thousand times without telling us. So we were confused on where he went. Didn't even tell us he went to go do something. Thanks ponytail man! 1 star rating! My husband and I spent nearly 3 hours shopping for a new bed. Having recently recovered from surgery, we settled on a Tempur-pedic adjustable bed. Larry was absolutely amazing. We shopped at the Gainesville Asley Homestore in August 2019 and in September paid over $15,000 for a houseful of furniture. Matt, the store manager promised a white glove professional delivery and set up of the furniture. The delivery team would personally inspect each piece of furniture at the warehouse before loading it on the truck and after several delays we finally were given a delivery date thus beginning the pre-delivery ordeal. The delivery was supposed to occur in the morning, but the truck didn't arrive until almost 5:00 PM. The promised white glove delivery in reality was two guys in a truck who had no idea how to put together the Tempur-Pedic bed or other furniture they were there for hours fumbling around. Around 8:00 PM, we told them to unbox the rest of the furniture and leave. My husband assembled the rest of the furniture himself. If my husband hadn't helped the delivery guys with the unloading and putting the empty cardboard back on the truck, those men would have left it all laying around our small apartment. We ordered chairs for our dining room table but were delivered stools that we compromised on with the store. The feet did not fit into the defective screw holes in the chair. The Ottoman for the chair was missing from the shipment and a zipper on the back cushion of the couch was defective allowing stuffing to come out! Thus, began the "post-delivery nightmare." Pictures were taken, phones calls and text messages were exchanged with the Ashley Furniture sales team who responded with assurances to make it right. After over 6 weeks post-delivery, they got us another coffee table and end table. Well, we had to go pick them up. Unfortunately, the salesperson Michael Armstrong and the manager Matt have offered us nothing but empty words and feigned indignation regarding the correction of the rest of our order! The chair and couch are still broken. Michael told us to call the furniture protection plan people, who told us it's not covered because it's a manufacture defect and covered in the 1-year warrantee. We have been more than understanding. After over 4 months and still being unable to sit on my chair and use the ottoman, we are fed up and frankly very disappointed in the broken promises. My husband even reached out to store office manager, Beth McDeavitt by phone on December 11th and was promised a return call the next day but has received no call to this day We are tempted to just fix it ourselves but that would void the warranty/protection plan. It appears to be one of those "if we ignore them, then they will go away" situations. I paid $15,000 in cash in good faith, made too many compromises and have been more than understanding. We are not getting anywhere with the store, so we are now reaching out with reviews posted with the Better Business Bureau and social media.
