The sofa sleeper we purchased 2 years ago looks like it is 15 years old. We are 2 retired people so it is one that is taken care of. We called the store to see if they would help us with a replacement but they were not willing to help us. They said we could buy new cushions; the cushions have broken down and the threads are pulling and it's extremely uncomfortable to sit on. New cushions would not take care of the issues of support with this sofa. We paid around $1,200 and it was a complete waste of money. The customer service and quality of furniture is so bad at Rooms To Go that I recommend shopping at other furniture stores. read more

We came in today after shopping for months at several different retailers for a new mattress and base. We dealt with Michelle who was honestly the best salesperson we've ever had the privilege of working with. She was very informative, but didn't pressure us at ALL. We walked away with the exact mattress we wanted and an adjustable base delivered and installed for less than just the mattress itself at two other retailers we had visited before. As wonderful as Michelle was, we would've paid more just to have dealt with her over another sales representative anyway. We'll be coming back to her for all of our furniture purchases from now on. I had a mattress that was defective, I called Rooms to Go and they sent someone out to check the mattress. That Person advised that in fact the mattress was defective, and I would hear from someone in a week or so. Well after two weeks I had not heard anything from Rooms to go, so I called and was advised that they called me and left a message, I informed them that I never received a message. The person from Rooms to go stated that they found the mattress to be defective and I would receive a total of $399.00 toward a new mattress. Great today April 24th, 2019 my wife and I went to the Rooms to Go in Gainesville Florida, where I was advised I would receive $399.00, less transfer fee of $99.00 and less $49.50 for delivery fee for a total of $299.00 toward any mattress over $399.00. I told them I thought that was outraged, due to the fact that the mattress was defective, and I am being penalized for it by having to pay $148.50. I then asked if they give a military discount, to which they advised NO. I will never buy anything from Rooms to Go again. read more

Bought just shy of $5000 worth of furniture here, and can't seem to get the last little bit delivered. They were up-front when the purchase was made that one piece would take about six weeks to deliver. They called to confirm delivery at six weeks, then called back to cancel, and reschedule. Then they called to confirm delivery, and didn't deliver. When we started following up with managers and supervisors, the stories don't match. Nobody seems to have access to "all" the information; nobody seems to be empowered to make something happen. Everyone has to check with someone else, who "will call you back." If you're lucky. Really, we'd just like the headboard delivered. How hard can that be? 11 weeks, and counting. read more

One star only because they have nice furniture. I ordered an accent chair on Oct. 19, 2020. It is now February 5, 2021. No chair. Impossible to speak to a human. Now I just received notice that the new delivery date is April 2nd. Really?? I will never buy from this store again nor will I recommend it to anyone. Ever. 6 months to deliver a chair. I live no more that an hour from their warehouse. These people are beyond terrible. read more

Purchased a trundle bed a couple weeks ago...they first said it could be delivered that week...then it was 3 weeks later & only on Thursday....I told them it would have to be after 4 on Thursday because I work and no one else would be home...they said they would make note of that but no promises. Now I've been told that it will be on Thursday between 7 am & 11 am. No one on-line in their live chat can help aNd no one in the store can do anything.... what's up with a company that has no control over their delivery service?!? Why sell an item to someone you know won't be able to get it?!? Now I have no where for my guests to sleep this weekend! Won't ever set foot in their store again...except to get my refund...Maybe I can get a bed from Amazon prime and have it before rooms to go can get their act together! read more

I'd shopped several G'ville furniture stores looking for a good deal on a sofa. I didn't have anything particular in mind just a good value for the price. RTG had an attractive leather reclining sofa on sale for $500. I tried it out and it was very, very comfortable and appeared well made so I made the purchase. I've had the sofa for 6 months and it's already worn and falling apart. I live alone with a well behaved dog so there's been no excessive use/abuse of the sofa as would be with a large family. The metal frame work of the sofa is warped and the stitching of the leather is pulling out. The leather itself must be the cheapest on the market because it started showing signs of wear immediately, even with monthly use of a conditioning product. The leather in the cushions are literally already worn through after 6 months (and I only weigh a buck sixty). I understand that RTG sells economical furniture and that I shouldn't expect high end durability from their furniture, but given the light use of the sofa I expected to get more than 6 months use before it looks as if it needs replacing. I would suggest that anyone looking for leather shop elsewhere, the quality of this sofa is severely lacking. read more

In the past I have been very impressed with Rooms To Go furniture and their delivery and set-up process. Recently, I have been very disappointed and disturbed with the extremely unprofessional and disrespectful manner of my latest purchase. I purchased an over $4,200.00 nursery set for my new granddaughter. I paid an additional $352.00 to have the delivery person assemble the furniture when they deliver it to my daughters home. Unfortunately, the delivery personnel decided to leave the unboxed and unassembled furniture at my daughters home without assembling the furniture. When I contacted customer service several times about their mistake, they stated they would remedy this error. Several weeks later I continued to contact customer service about their error and to add insult to injury, customer service stated they have a new policy that states they do not assemble nursery furniture. They stated as a good faith effort they will refund me only half of the assembly fee, but they will not assemble the furniture. They stated that they do not assemble baby cribs. I said I understood that part of their operation but what about the two night stands, the eight drawer dresser, the five drawer chest, the vanity and hutch, the changing table and mattress. They stated those were part of the nursery furniture and they no longer assemble any parts of nursery furniture. I have dealt with some shady characters in the past but this was a very manipulative, deceitful and conniving act of poor business practice I have ever seen in my life. This business practice is inconceivably malicious and disingenuous. They should be punished for treating any customer in this fashion. read more

I had a disappointing experience at this store today. I will preface this by saying that I understand RTG is far from a top-end furniture store, and perhaps I am expecting too much. In any event, I bought a couch there for my office a few months ago, and had a pleasant experience. Today I went looking for an entertainment center, or rather a place to put my television set. There was one item that was nice, and close to what I was looking for. I looked around and there was a woman standing nearby, who also was wearing a Rooms-To-Go pin. I said "Is this the only item of this sort that you have here?". She asked me what I meant and I said "entertainment center? something like that. a place to put a tv". With a somewhat annoyed flip of her hand she said, "there are a few more over there." Then she said "but you should ask your salesperson". I said that I didn't have a salesperson, and thought that she could help me. She cracked a half-smile. Assuming there was some sort of misunderstanding, I followed up; "I thought you worked here, so I asked you". Again, the same half-smile. I guess she was too important to help a customer, or perhaps she was on her break but standing in the showroom. So I walked away and out of the store. And I might have spent $2000 had she been nice and helpful. read more
