Do not do business at this store. My wife and I worked with Imari Williams while purchasing multiple items for rental units. At the time of sale, everything was shown on a tablet and seemed straightforward, but once we reviewed the receipts and experienced delivery, serious problems became clear. Our order was split into multiple transactions, and each piece of furniture was broken into many separate line items, which made the billing extremely confusing. A protection plan that was discussed as being about $550 ended up totaling nearly $900 across the split transactions. This was not clearly explained at checkout. We also paid extra for "white glove" delivery, which we were told included assembly. On delivery day, before they said almost anything else the drivers stated they would not assemble anything and it was a common problem of Ashley furniture telling people their delivery would include assembly when it did not. Delivery timing did not match what was scheduled, only part of the order arrived, and we had to refuse some items due to the confusion and timing issues. When we contacted the store, Chase told us there was nothing they could do. No adjustments were offered for the delivery fee or the protection plan, even though the services we paid for were not provided. No furniture was ever assembled by Ashley. We did return a couple of items affected by the delivery issues, but the larger billing and service problems were never addressed. Overall, I would strongly caution others to carefully review every charge and transaction, especially protection plans and delivery fees, and not rely solely on what is shown verbally on the tablet. Once the sale is complete, getting help afterward appears to be impossible. If you have any issues at all, do not accept the delivery. read more

Beware of this store. They have "different" return policies based on whether you purchased online or went to a store. Specifically for mattresses they will not process a return if you purchase online, even if their description is not accurate and it's giving you terrible pain, but they will if you purchase in person. Could not give this place a lower rating, would give zero stars if I could. read more

Worst furniture store ever. Worst customer service. Sent a defective item, never fixed it and refused to refund it. We ordered a full apartment furniture, paid thousands of dollars. One of the bedrooms was received with a broken chest of drawers, defective night stand. The company does not stand behind their products. They display mattress in the store but is different when assembled in your home. Once in your home IT'S YOUR PROBLEM. Management, Jordan, will not return your call as he states and will not return call after leaving a message. Customer service is a "Call Center" in the Philippines and you will NEVER speak to someone with Ashley in the US. They make the sale, assemble it in your home and it's yours and your problem if it is not correct. I have detailed notes and recorded conversations with customer service as well as store personnel. There is no way they can wiggle out of their issues and lack of concern for customers. read more

In store service was adequate. Afterwards the horrors started. The delivery was scheduled for the following week. I got a text confirming the appointment. The day of delivery I received a text saying they would be there in 35 minutes. Which was 1 1/2 hours early. So had to scramble to get the old furniture moved. Then the time kept changing they finally showed up and neither of the gentlemen spoke any English . The left before I could check if the furniture worked. On piece doesn't. I noted this in the review the sent me. The next day someone called to file a claim. Two(2) weeks later I went into the store because I still hadn't heard anything. I was told the claim is under review. If Ashley has so many claims that it takes 2 weeks ( or more) then I wouldn't recommend buying ANYTHING from them read more

Ashley Furniture is pure garbage. Their furniture is trash that does not hold up. Their in store service cannot add a simple bill together. Their delivery is garbage. Can't find an address. Can't figure out how to use a phone correctly to call the customer to verify address or directions to make a delivery. Zero stars if I could. Don't ever step foot in this store. read more

Where do I even begin .... Their sales associate we were dealing with was a complete jerk and was kinda rude. We spent a few weekends, visiting different furniture stores, sitting and trying out different pieces of furniture until we found a set we liked. I can't even tell you how much of a pain it has been trying to find furniture that will suit our needs as we have two large dogs and both shed so finding a couch is was like finding a needle in a haystack. When we inquired about this couch... the first issue was they couldn't ship it to Jacksonville but could have it ship somewhere locally and we would just have to pick it up. The second issue was their supposedly "bad tag" made it seemed like we were being pushed to purchase this set as the sales associate we were dealing with was telling us if we leave the store and decide to come back later in the day to get it, they wouldn't honor the price. Mind you, this was $899 each for the loveseat and the sofa, and we just so happened to see that it was marked down to $749 even though it's considered an outlet item. So long story short.. we contacted the Orange Park/Jax store, got with the manager and we were able to get the set for the price of what we saw in Gainesville. I'm happy and I cannot wait until we get our furniture delivered. Just be cautious of this store's customer service. That's all I'm saying. read more

We recently were gifted an Ashley sectional from a friend who was moving away. After having a reclining couch and loveseat with remotes for lumbar and cervical spine support, we were use to lying down nearly horizontal. I found that our new couch had an optional ottoman on the Ashley website. I drove to the store to see it in person. I was greeted immediately, walked to the display model, given some time by the Ashley associate who helped me find it, and purchased it then and there. Caveats of why this is not a 5 star experience (3.5 is more fair of what it was): 1. I had to ask for the online sale price despite Labor Day sales in store, none were offered. 2. My $246 ottoman down from $349 in store would have been $60 to ship. Site to store free shipping is not offered. It wasn't until I told him I'd speak with my husband did he offer another option of ship to the house unassembled for free. 3. I'm buying a simple ottoman. The loads and loads of paper despite electronic signature for payment were ridiculous. I've signed less documents for life events. I got the impression that I should sign without reading the documents as he would scroll on the iPad to the signature line as opposed to saying this is the Terms and Conditions page, read if you'd like, then sign. I went to the store to see the ottoman. I know that sales are commission based. I could have bought online straight from the retailer. I would have just expected a better in-person sales experience overall and don't know that I'd be buying again from here anytime soon if I needed more furniture. read more

Horrible experience at the Gainesville, Florida Ashley Furniture Store. Duped into buying $50 warranty to get free delivery. Read ad later at home and part of the Black Friday sale was free delivery. The chair was $485, so it definitely qualified. Told delivery would be December 26. Then received a call in mid December saying new delivery date was January 2, warehouse issue. Received chair and it did not fit me right. Hurt my back. So, I loaded the chair into my suv and took it to the store. So surprised to find out that the store does not accept returns. The rep would give me corporate's number if I wanted. When I was buying, customer service wouldn't leave my side. When I tried to return the chair, it was like a ghost town. Their no store return policy should be posted and stated when purchasing. i will never go back to that store. read more

It's unfortunate that the woman we encountered at the "customer service" counter as we were leaving was so rude (late twenties, heavy-set, long reddish hair). Horrific customer service. I was lied to about delivery. The salesperson actually CALLED me to argue about what she had promised. We're sitting in an empty apartment waiting days for delivery now. Absolutely terrible customer service. Sales person, Kaitlyn, told us our order selection was in stock and would be delivered today, 1/4. We received a confirmation of delivery this morning at 6:27 am that we could expect delivery between 12-4, then at 10:15 am we got a phone call that the item was out of stock and delivery was postponed until next week, which doesn't work of us. And because we will be unavailable to receive it, nor do we trust them to actually deliver our item, we wanted to cancel. The representative on the phone told us that we had to go into the store to cancel it. So I called the store and told them and they said they have no control over canceling it in store. This came from the manager, Jordan. Needless to say, I don't even know if we will get our money back. We did finally reach somebody who said they canceled our order and will refund our money. However, I don't know if that will actually happen. I will never, ever, ever buy anything from Ashley furniture again nor will I recommend the store to anyone. I'm disgusted by their customer service and because I was upset (very firm but never used a harsh word) the manager hung up on me, which is unacceptable. read more

It was a WHOLE NEW EXPERIENCE this time. I called yesterday to speak with management to cancel my order and make sure my complaints were heard. I was asked to come in today and I worked with a gentleman named John. I ended up with a whole new set of furniture and some artwork and a delivery time that's this Saturday and not end of November. He was patient and understanding and this time I feel like I could really choose what I needed and wanted. So.... Long story short is; ask the questions, don't allow yourself to be rushed, ask for Saul or John, and double and triple check everything from price to discounts to the fine print. This was what was delivered to us last June. We noticed the side was listing out. Ashley will do nothing! We bought the 5 year extended warranty and the company will not touch it saying it is a manufacturing defect and too new it should be covered under Ashley one year warranty. We spent over $5,000 and been treated like dirt. We have been bounced back and forth from corporate, warranty companies, and home store. The side just keeps getting worse. I purchased a bedroom set from Ashley furniture which was delivered on August 13th. I made the mistake of signing for the furniture before examining it. I am mediately noticed damage to the pieces but the delivery guys were long gone. I called Ashley help center right away and inquired about a return because of the damaged products and poor quality. They told me we had 72 hours to return but had to send a tech out to examine the furniture before moving forward. The tech was not available for two weeks. When he finally came we told him we wanted to return but the warranty department would have to call us. The warranty department said they cannot do returns. We were turned back to the main office who then said they would not allow us to return because we were not in the initial 72 hour window!!!!!!!! They are purposefully giving us a runaround and not allowing us to return damaged poor quality items In the pictures you can see where the drawers do not meet up, there is a large gap and they hang out of the dresser. They used the wrong screws for the track on the other dresser and it is falling off. The support structure under the bed does not touch the floor and makes the bed super wiggly. Finally, there is a crack in the wood at the base of the bed. And yes, Ashley's techs put the furniture together read more

I was ready to refurnish my entire home when I walked in the store. Friendly employees, but majority of them not wearing masks or wearing them under their chin (not covering their nose or mouth) while helping customers. A salesman was helping me with no mask and I felt so uncomfortable I didn't make the purchase I wanted to make and left. It is insensitive and unsafe to not wear a mask during our statewide spike of COVID. I don't plan on coming back as I didn't feel safe or comfortable here. read more

Ordered a table 7/3/21. my cc charged 7/5. told not arriving till February 2022. 10/30 cancelled by phone to their corporate 800 number, (never was able to reach the store after 2 days of trying), I never received cancellation confirm. Called the store early in the week. Was told the order was officially cancelled "today" Saturday the 6th. so 7 to 10 business days to get the refund processed from today, not 7 to 10 from when I was first told the order was cancelled. Ordered a mattress online from Ashley's & let me tell you, what a Nightmare! First of all, they send it to the wrong address, so I had them send another. Then I had to open it up (bc it came in a box ) & cut the plastic to see if the bed was firm enough. It wasn't. So I asked for a refund. They said I had to return the bed in the box & take the opened one to a donation center, get a donation receipt, take a pic, & email it to them. So, I borrowed a truck, drove an hour away, donated it. & had ups pick the boxed one up. I sent Ashley's a pic of the donation receipt. & waited the 7-10 business days for the refund. Still NO refund. They tell me they have to get the boxed mattress checked in at their warehouse before they can refund me. & wait another 7-10 days. A Complete nightmare of a process. Okay we were told by James that we had 30 days to decide if we were happy with our purchase. Turns out this is not the truth , once the truck leaves you can not return the item which I do NOT like. Who can sit on a couch or chair and so oh this will be good to watch a movie in! We bought a sectional and nesting coffee table from the store and Ashley shipped damaged piece on 3 different occasions. 3 different deliveries and damaged EVERY SINGLE TIME. To add to that, when you call the store as a frustrated customer, the store manager has the audacity to just tell the associate to let you know "tell them they should just pick some other furniture". What kind of management even is that where you can't even handle a dispute for something that the company couldn't get right for the 3rd time!! Eventually the manager came on the phone, and when I expressed my frustration to him and told him that it wasn't an individual person'a fault, rather an issue with the company as whole and I don't want to do any more business with them. He then proceeds to tell me, I was rude for saying that and that he does business with me. My 92yr old uncle purchased a loveseat at this store. Biggest mistake EVER!!! Did you know they have a very limited timeframe No return No exchange policy? Of course Not because there's No signage of such to be seen anywhere in the store. Nor does the sales person states such upon purchase. They literally took a Seniors money had him sign paperwork without an explanation and used that against him when he wanted to upgrade from a loveseat to the full size sofa instead. Mind you the tag was still on the item as it had only been a few weeks since purchased. He offered to pay the upgrade price and shipping again. We were bounced back in forth from the store mngr-Jimmy Smith to the office mngr-Brittney Chambers to Corporate off. Customer svc. agent-Shanice Walker to Corporate office mngr-Stefan who stated the store office mngr-Brittney could issue the credit back to my Uncle and allow him the exchange. Then Brittney said no she can't that it's up to corporate and bottom line. My 92yr old uncle would have to keep what he has since he sighed the paperwork upon purchase. The loveseat is his. It's said when customer service has gone out the window. I would NEVER advised Anyone to purchase from this sham of a store. Try Living spaces or any other store. Nice store with helpful employees. I had a sofa delivery problem that resulted in it being taken back on the day of delivery. I called the store directly to advise them of the problem and spoke initially with Brittany. She asked Steven(?), store manager to contact me and when he called he had a solution already in place. These two were sympathetic, very apologetic and quick to resolve the problem! Very impressed with their responsiveness! Issues arise sometimes and I judge the company by the resolution and attitude - this store is a winner. read more

I ordered furniture at the end of June and was given a date in July that it would be delivered. The day before delivery I had not heard anything so I called. After a nightmare of computer routing and holds, I was told that two of my items were at the warehouse but they were not going to delivered because the couch was not ready yet. I insisted on a partial delivery as I had just gotten rid of my old living room set, and they were not going to comply. I told them to cancel the entire transaction at which point they managed to get the partial delivery scheduled. I have now had four reschedules on the delivery of my couch with nothing but automated texts. It is August and I am still waiting while they make excuses. I will never do business with Ashley HomeStore again. Also the salesman talked me into upgrading the recliner I liked to electric saying it would feel the same... I was told I had to come into the store - that they would not take phone orders. The store had the same item at a higher price. They gave me a bogus story why they couldn't honor the online advertised price. Then charged me $70 for delivery and set up. Online, I could waive this charge because it did not need setup.
