Like a sketchy used car dealership, except for furniture. I shopped at the Colton location with my husband and three young children on June 6th 2020. We decided to go to the store because they were having a extended Memorial day sale, everything was 40% off. As we were shopping around, we were help by two different sales associates Ali and Rick. Both informed us of the 40% off everything deal, and when we found a couch we liked, the both told us that the couch and the 14 pc set was 40% off, and that we could mix and match different items such as different lamps, rugs pillows etc. What a great deal right? So we chose the lamps, the rug, the two end tables and coffee table, the pillow/blanket set, and the accessory set that we wanted. The end tables and coffee tables were on clearance though and were a manager special, so we had to get manager approval to add them to our 14 pc set that we were purchasing because they had to be the same price at the coffee and end tables that were going to be included, and we did. Fast forward to us checking out and a manager informed us that we would not be able to get the 40% off of 14 pc living room set because it was already discounted, we were a little peeved, so they gave us free shipping and a discounted furniture plan. At this pointed our 8 month old, our 2 year old and our 4 year old had enough, they were tired and we needed to wrap things up. Something kept taking forever with the computers, so when it came time to leave we got our invoice and basically ran to the car. I put the invoice in a drawer, and forgot about it until it came time for delivery. Now we bought other items for our new home, we also got the storage ottoman that was next to the couch, but not included, we also got a mattress for 399. When it came time for delivery the mattress was not what I expected, we purchased a inner spring mattress and it came in a box and I wasn't about to spend 400 dollars on a box mattress for my son. So I told the delivery person it was the wrong mattress and he took it back, then they were missing the rug, which they had no record of, and the pillow/ blanket set was wrong. They left out the blanket, and gave me a duplicate pillow. Now I was pretty upset, so I went back to my invoice and was absolutely shocked. They had overcharged us on almost every single item. The full mattress, that came in a box, was 769.99. The 14 pc living room set, that was supposed to be $2199.99, which by the way, I have proof it was $2199.99 because I took a photo of the couch and the sign, and the sign has a photo of the couch and it says '14 pc living room set' so there isn't any confusion. They charged me $2834.95. I was of course aggravated, I called my sales rep, he didn't answer, didn't text back. I tried getting in contact with customer service, straight to voicemail. Finally my sales rep answered me, by text. Told me to get in contact with customer service, he then attempted to help me. I was able to return the mattress, he ordered my rug separately, and told me he had fixed to issue of overcharging me for the couch set. Never addressed the missing blanket though, stopped messaging me. Fast forward to present time, on my credit card bill, they still charged me the $2834.95. So I called and texted him, nothing. I called customer services in Colton, was finally able to speak with someone and she basically told me that they need to speak with my sales rep, who of course did not show up that day. She said she would call me back the next day, never did, I called and she was on lunch and someone said she would call me back, she never did. Now have been on the phone with different customer care reps that are separate from the customer service people at the Colton location and we are trying to get this resolved, except we cannot get in contact with one from the store itself and we were forced to create a case. ***this is the complaint that I filed against them with the better business bureau over a month ago, and since then nothing has changed and the rug & blanket never arrived and I have not received a refund for being over charged. read more
