I don't understand how one store can continuously keep having problems. I bought a mattress and a set from this place almost two years ago. That was my #1 mistake. Delivery was a fail and they even stole something so minor from us. A lighter that we used to light our candles. Is Ashley Furniture not paying enough to the point you have to steal a lighter? Anyways, they gave us the wrong slats with our bed and I only know they because the delivery guys had a very hard time putting it together. I was also promised free sheets from one of the salesperson and it took MONTHS of continuously going in the store asking where they were at to finally get them. A different story every time I went on where they were at. I figured they didn't want to give me the sheets because the sales associate that promised them to me was no longer there. Oh and don't ask for the manager Michael because he's never around. I was always told he wasn't there and that another manager is calling to answer a question. It's not just me because I would hear the same thing being told to others when I would go inside to ask about the sheets. Fast forward to about a week ago, I bought a mattress protector and a foundation for our mattress. The only reason I bought from this place again was because it was cheaper. I am now reminded why I had such a headache by this place because they can never do anything right. They got my address wrong and I called to change it. Tell me why I get another call the next day after just confirming my order that the items is now on back order. Oh and you can also guess it, my address is STILL wrong. Went to store in Cary, dealt with manager, he was really nice and helpful. Got the 0% deferred credit card for 3 sofas and kitchen table and chairs. Then all the problems: Items took several weeks to arrive. The movers cut the single sofa when removing packaging, had to wait a month for replacement. The movers also damaged my wall when moving the big couch. This also damaged the big couch, still waiting for a repair person to come fix it. The kitchen table was delivered with a smashed table post and a small scratch on tabletop. Tabletop (Whitesberg model?) is easily scratched and now has numerous scratches within a few weeks. The replacement table post was sent several weeks later and it was missing parts. Had to get another replacement part and this time the manager from store helped us out, thank goodness, to get it within a few days instead of another two weeks without a kitchen table. Four chairs arrived, one chair was broken. Sent it back. Two weeks later, the SAME broken chair returns to my house. I refuse it again. Two weeks later finally got replacement chair. Now two months later, two of the Whitesberg? Model kitchen chairs are bubbling on the tops. The seat tops are made of pressed veneers. Not real wood like the rest of the chair. I called and they said that manufacturer will not cover because it was most likely my fault like I left them in the rain or sun. They have been in my dining room for the holidays and that's it. Maybe, I say, it was from shoddy workmanship, especially since it's on two different chairs in different places. We even use seat covers over top of them. I don't recommend Ashley furniture in general. The manager we dealt with was great and able to help us fix some issues but overall I am not happy with my experience. The couches are comfortable but when it's all said and done we spent almost $3000 and a lot of headache and time when we should have just gone through NextDoor.com or something and get some gently used nice items from our neighbors for a fraction of the price. I ordered a dresser online and it took 3 weeks to arrive, which I knew when I ordered so I was okay with that. However, when it arrived, the dresser was cracked and the delivery guys had to take it back. I am extremely disappointed that I waited 3 weeks just to end up with no dresser because it was broken upon delivery. read more

I want to share our recent Ashley purchase experience, hoping that this customer compliant gets to their Leadership team. If leaders don't hear about the company's problems they can't lead. You need to understand how and why you are losing customers and this one permanently; choose to do something to correct/improve the company system breakdowns noted and maybe become a better company; Or do nothing, which is how it appears the company currently operates. Not only were several furniture items damaged upon delivery; the delivery team wasn't going to say anything about the damage to some items, until they had to be pointed out. The under bed storage unit and Bed frame were incorrectly assembled. This was all reviewed the day of the delivery with customer care. The bed we purchased was assembled incorrectly, leaving us with a bed that creaked and wobbled for three weeks waiting for "master assemblers" to return. The next delivery team refused to do anything about it. Saying "that is the way it is supposed to be". (I have since had to disassemble and reassemble it my self, to find screws missing and loose nuts on the frame/rails). The second delivery was scheduled and confirmed several days in advance. The day it was to arrive, it didn't. No call to notify us. We called with a half hour left in the delivery window, to be told they would research and get back with us. No one called back. After the scheduled time had pasted we called again, only to be told the items had never even been put on the truck for delivery. I had to take time off from work to be present for this delivery; my time and money were wasted by a very poor delivery process. (I had a sense that this may have been done out of retaliation for voicing my concerns and notifying the company of the damages and the assembly issues with the first delivery.) I had requested a member of management contact me after the first delivery mishaps occurred, I never heard back from anyone. (I contacted the store I purchased the set and your Customer care team, booth said someone would contact us with two business days.) And then the final slap in the face. Several conversations with your Customer-care department ended with a standard comment from your representative:" We apologize for this inconvenience and what you are going thru. Once you receive your full delivery, contact us and you'll look at compensating you". A $25.00 Ashley's gift card was offered to us, for our troubles. All I could do is laugh. These are just the highlights of our experience, sorry but very little was positive. (Though we were really excited initially about a new Master bed suite). Hands down, It has been the worst purchase experience I've had with any major retailer. I plan on sharing this with as many customers and potential customers as possible so they hopefully will avoid this shopping experience. read more

Ashley HomeStore is the worst of the worst. Save your money and go elsewhere. Over the course of several weeks, they have scheduled FOUR separate delivery teams to try and deliver the correct parts to a canopy bed we ordered over a month ago. And each time the delivery team has arrived with the wrong parts. One delivery team didn't tell us they had the wrong parts and went ahead and assembled the bed using the wrong materials and broke the bed. When we told this to Customer Care, they offered nothing more than "Sorry for your frustration" and offered to schedule yet another delivery team to try and fix this bed that has been lying on or floor in pieces for weeks now. We've had both Customer Care and several delivery teams flat out lie to us in order to weasel out of their refund policy. Hopefully this review will save someone a lot of stress by convincing you to spend your money somewhere else. read more

Recently we purchased a table and two chairs from the Cary store. A week later, on Dec 13th, a damaged by dropping, wet table and two water soaked padded chairs were delivered. One of the two delivery men, of which neither was in any kind of store uniform and driving an unmarked box truck, asked me if I wished to refuse delivery or accept it to exchange sometime later. Really? Now I have a charge on my credit card without any dining table or chairs. The representatives we spoke to, Amanda, Brad, Chanel, Sam, the list goes on and on, were not much help( they did not call back as promised or would not answer the phone.)The end result is another week before it can be delivered when online the same furniture can be delivered five days sooner. If we cancel the order, which we have, these shysters will still charge your account 10% of the order total. This is after listening to their rude, unprofessional, unsympathetic customer service people, with the exception of Tonya, who were indifferent to our problem with the mess they made. Now we're waiting on Randy to call us back when he finally gets the chance. read more

I highly recommend Carolina Reyes at the Piney Plains Rd store in Cary, NC. Knowledgeable, patient, and honest, she made my shopping experience very pleasurable. Dispatch/delivery service out of Ft Mills SC however is dreadful. The promised confirmation calls (2 days prior to scheduled delivery date) actually started 4 days before. Every few hours for days, the same robo call with repetitive instructions to "press 1 to confirm delivery". Luckily they had my address correct. To your credit, the delivery truck showed up today Sept 12 on the early side of promised window. However the workers were very rude and unprofessional. Hint - do not assume because I am English speaking that I do not understand Spanish. The older man constantly yelled to someone on his cell phone, clearly running a side business. I asked him twice to put the phone away and assist moving the sofa, he ignored me. Meanwhile he left the clearly inexperienced younger fella in my apartment, trying to figure out the power recling assembly. I finally went downstairs and in Spanish, told the older gentleman I understood every word he was saying, that his yelling was disturbing my neighbors, making all the dogs bark and that I would call his boss. Instantly apologetic he finally hung up, came upstairs and in Spanish admonished the younger man saying "I know you've only been on the job 2 days but you lied to me about your experience, you don't know what you're doing". They finally finished and left. This experience has soured me on the Ashley experience and although I need more pieces to complete my living room, I will likely shop elsewhere. read more

Order a dining room table, 6 chairs and a bench. It arrived with a hole in the bench. They will not send a new bench even though they freely admit the product arrived damaged. After much discussion due to my dismay - they told me they would send a new cover for the bench with tools and then I can call them to come out and repair. (That I could apply for future compensation once all the parts are repaired, etc.). Thus - I paid for a "perfect" product but am getting a repaired one with another delivery wait. They told me the new bench parts would arrive in 7 days. I just called because it has been 12 days and it has not arrived. Customer service just told me it is on back order and will be shipped in 16 days. Thus - my repair will start 32 days after I got what was supposed to be a new dining set. The positive = I like the table and chairs --- the negative --- they gave me a defective product and refuse to make it right :(. This was our first purchase from them because they are new to the area. I liked the sales person and the look of the product but I feel very ripped off. read more
