    New update: July 2023 I came in here with a genuine interest in purchasing office furniture and keeping my card active. The staff (Matt) offered help. I didn't ask for help. He told lies stating a minimum purchase amount was required (around 500ish) and that my small purchase would not qualify to purchase on my Ashley card. The staff member lied to me and told me my account was already closed due to inactivity. I called when I got home and found out my account is very open and active and can be used. This rating would've been much better had I been left alone to make my small purchase on my own. This salesperson pretty much pushed a potential sale right out the door. I'm not sure what this was about but this was a very poor experience after learning these were lies after calling Synchrony Bank.

    We looked for days for the right furniture and found everything and more at Ashley's in Cary. Ask for Karen! She was knowledgeable and so patient with my millions of questions!

    Really good and reasonably priced selection in store. We wanted a couch with comfort similar to the 'Rawcliffe' sectional. Miguel was able to take us straight to the couch we needed. Our guests love it too. He was also able to price match for us. The order was made in Oct. Thankfully the prices dropped during Black Friday. Delivery wasn't done yet. So, we called Miguel and he refunded the remainder. Saved us $$$s. This is the kind of sales experience we like! Will defiantly buy from there again.

    BUYER BEWARE: HORRIBLE QUALITY FURNITURE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE! You may get a good price on their furniture but after waiting WEEKS in an empty house to get furniture, we just received our furniture delivery from Ashley Homestore and I've NEVER been more disappointed in a furniture store! We had TWO terrible experiences with Ashley: 1) The first time we ordered a sofa set, they arranged a delivery date, and it never arrived. They never called to cancel or notify us of another date. We called to see what was going on and they told us a delivery had never been scheduled and took no ownership of the problem. We demanded a refund and they told us they processed a refund over the phone. A few days later, we had to physically go into the store when we noticed they had still not actually given us a refund. After much discussion and no ownership on their end, they finally refunded us. The manager gave us a discount to try to make things right and convinced us this was an isolated incident and to give them another chance and place another order with them. 2) We placed an order of furniture with them thinking the above incident must have been a fluke. Today was our delivery date for 4 pieces of furniture and 75% of the furniture we ordered arrived in OPEN boxes and came out DAMAGED and DEFECTIVE! The bedroom set literally had black sharpie colored on it to cover defects, the barstools came out chipped, and the coffee table set had major scratches all over it. This is clearly a common occurrence because when we called customer service they tried to give us $20 to accept damaged furniture and we were told we couldn't cancel our order and get a refund because they were "willing to make it right" and we would have to pay a 10% restocking fee. So now we have to wait another few weeks to get what will probably be more damaged and defective furniture...if their delivery actually arrives. Ikea literally has better quality and service. See the pictures below before you order from them!

Every other store has stodgy, traditional pieces that are so boring. (Basset's idea of cutting edge is offering memory foam cushion options.) At least Ambiente is fun and interesting to browse. If you're looking for an Ekornes Stressless chair, Ambiente has the best display of multiple colors and styles. FYI, those chairs are $3k each; most leather chairs cost just as much now. I have 2 Ekornes chairs that are 10 years old, extremely comfortable, still in style, and look brand new. I was shocked to see how much furniture prices have increased post-covid, and good luck getting custom pieces in less than 9-12 mos. due to supply chain issues. Most places don't sell showroom models, either. Buy "made in NC" for faster (yet still slow) delivery. Most of Ambiente's pieces are made overseas. I was looking for a sofa sectional. The first one I saw was beautiful. Price tag showed $11K. Who can afford a sofa that costs more than a car? I found a suitable sofa sectional at Bassett, but I left the store after I found out it was $8K. "It's 30% off!" Down from 10K. Since furniture costs are so high now, you might as well pick something you like enough to keep for decades. I even shopped online for sofas and discovered they are junk not made to last long but suitable for a first apartment.

We were walking along at the NC State Farmers Market and by chance saw 2 bar height chairs front and center calling our name to sit and relax a few minutes. It was hot, we were tired. You can begin to see where I am going here. These Pawleys Island Bar Height Chairs connected by a Tete-A-Tete were not only eye catching, but very comfortable and easy to get into. My companion and I began envisioning where it would work in our outdoor space. For us, it was going to be unique in that we wished for it to sit inside our carport at the back beside our door entrance. Michael came over just in time, no pressure, and invited any questions. Our primary concern was space and dimensions. We shared that we wanted to return home, measure the space with the dimensions he shared with us, and decide whether it would be a good fit as well as design for our space. He was fine with that along with sharing details and his experience with styling and color. We returned the following weekend to his company with purpose. We purchased the Sunrise Bar Height Chairs and Tete-A-Tete. A style different than what he had on display. No worries. We special ordered the Black and Cedar bar height chairs and the tete-a-tete style color we chose was Cedar. Michael reminded us it would be a waiting period of 4-6 weeks which we were fine with. In addition, Michael was happy to deliver and assemble the chairs to the tete-a-tete for a nominal fee. Mary and I could go on and on with what a wonderful purchase experience this was but let me close with saying Michael Hagan and his company are spot on and customer focused. He sells a quality product handcrafted in the Carolinas at Pawleys Island. We LOVE our Sunrise Bar Height Chairs!!! Thanks Michael :).

He even suggested a left-side chaise which would fit better in my apartment. Once I decided on a couch, I feared I would have to wait weeks for delivery, but Ronnie said they would have it to me by Saturday (I bought it on a Thursday).
