I have been to several garden shops in the area and this is the most expensive. Even their discounted items are still pricy. I ended up not buying anything and visiting a different garden shop. I was able to find most of what I needed here and more but they were not worth the price. I do like how organized the shop is. Having so many plants can't be easy to keep organized and healthy. I like how things are labelled and their large selection. Discount sections are nice and so is the free parking. The center was easy to locate and park. I was surprised to find an expansive garden shop in downtown Raleigh. Overall, we enjoyed walking through the shop, but found the prices too expensive.

If you're looking for an Ekornes Stressless chair, Ambiente has the best display of multiple colors and styles. FYI, those chairs are $3k each; most leather chairs cost just as much now. I have 2 Ekornes chairs that are 10 years old, extremely comfortable, still in style, and look brand new. I was shocked to see how much furniture prices have increased post-covid, and good luck getting custom pieces in less than 9-12 mos. due to supply chain issues. Most places don't sell showroom models, either. Buy "made in NC" for faster (yet still slow) delivery. Most of Ambiente's pieces are made overseas. I was looking for a sofa sectional. The first one I saw was beautiful. Price tag showed $11K. Who can afford a sofa that costs more than a car? I found a suitable sofa sectional at Bassett, but I left the store after I found out it was $8K. "It's 30% off!" Down from 10K. Since furniture costs are so high now, you might as well pick something you like enough to keep for decades. I even shopped online for sofas and discovered they are junk not made to last long but suitable for a first apartment.

We heard about Mission Bungalow from our good Ole Pal GOOGLE, after typing in the search bar, "furniture stores near me", while sitting outside Raleigh Raw Juice Bar & Cafe, eating our sushi burrito and drinking our berry smoothie. Upon completion of our lunch, Google maps, without fail, guided us to Mission Bungalow's exact location. After walking into the store, we were immediately greeted by Mark, the owner. We let Mark know that we had been doing some minor research on bedroom sets but could not find what we wanted. After listening to us describe our style and what we wanted, he began to show us their gallery. Mark was extremely kind and patient with us, especially since our indecisiveness and ADHD was in full swing, going out of his way to make sure we had what we were looking for and explaining all the different designs and styles, especially with the different woods and stains. He was straight forward and honest with the time frame at which products are being delivered and when we would expect our new furniture. We were definitely there past closing time, and really appreciated the time Mark gave us. Mission Bungalow is true to their word.

When I called back a couple days later to inquire about that same bed we had seen at the start of our furniture search, Jenna was very helpful and super organized with getting us pricing and ETA's on both the bed and a narrow lingerie drawer that would fit our smaller footprint. From Yankee Candle to Olay and everything in between, you bet your bottom dollar that you're going home with something...and if you're not, you didn't spend enough time browsing. Here are just a few things I've gotten from Ollie's: a Stephen King graphic novel of The Dark Tower for less than $4, a secret Santa gift filled with journals, crayons, colored pencils, and two drawing pads (don't forget the gift bag, tissue paper, AND a card) for less than $15, Yankee candle melts for less than $2, a Yankee candle oil diffuser for less than $4, a large bag of brand-name veggie chips for less than $2, St. Ives body wash for less than $3, a Febreze car plug in for less than $1. I can go on and on. Ollie's has discounts and it's super easy to spend at least an hour here while you bargain shop. The staff here are very nice! There were two cashiers and one floor staff and they all greeted me nicely and were very friendly. Is Ollie's a disaster? Yes. Are the floors uneven and unfinished? YUP. Are you going to save money?
