UPDATE: Today is 5/11/2018 and I'm still waiting on my refund. Back in April when our order was discontinued (not even sure HOW that happened when the order was placed in January), I was told I would receive my refund the first week in May. Last week I was told it was coming this week. I just called and was informed that it will be in next week. NO MORE! They are holding my money hostage. Ashley Furniture is the worst. The company falsely offers you a warranty and does not stand by it. I purchased a 7 piece Family Room Sectional (SKU #50301SECT) from the company on January 15, 2018. The furniture was not delivered until two months later. I am beyond frustrating trying to get the Rae Corner Chase fixed. The wood is hanging off of the bottom of the chair, it is causing the chair to lay lop-sided. There is a huge dent in the black leather part of the arm rest (likely because it is poorly configurated and supported by what seems to be cardboard). The zipper on the console broke two weeks after delivery. I called costumer service and was told that's not apart of the warranty. I then went to the store where I purchased the set (Whitemarsh Location: 8823 Pulaski Hwy, Baltimore, MD, 21237) and the store manager gave me the run-around and refused to help. I have been trying to have my furniture fixed for months. When you call the costumer service department they ask for you to send pictures, 48 hours later they will schedule you an appointment where a technician came out a month later (good service right? Reiterating after they get your money they do not care about their product or your satisfaction). The technician came out and re-took pictures, closed my case and fixed nothing. I called and they want me to repeat this tedious process. I asked when the furniture would be fixed on replaced and they refused to give me an answer or explain the process. Today I spoke with Hannah (phone number 443-730-9007), a costumer service manager, who laughably told me if this was her chair she would be fine with someone fixing it, although my issues are not "fixable". I do not recommend anyone support or purchase anything from this company. All it is over-priced furniture that can be found in the warehouses of other cheaper companies. My husband knew exactly what we wanted, we shopped online before hand. A sales guy named Jordan was very friendly but pushy and a little overwhelming. My 90 year old mother purchased chairs from Ashley Furniture in Rosedale.I live in Virginia but I wanted to see her selection. I noticed the chairs on the website were $400 less than what she paid in store.The next day I called the store manager,Britney. She told me that I had exceeded the "price guarantee" by 1 day. I explained that reasonable people would understand that a 90 year old woman didn't check prices on line and I'd appreciate consideration for a 1 day extension. However Britney would not relent! AVOID, unless you can afford locking up hundreds of dollars for over FOUR months before you get a refund. THE LIES FLOW out of this company (Rosedale, MD). I ordered a desk with them on July 7th. The salesman promised that the desk would ship and arrive in 2 to 4 weeks. I was told I would RECEIVE A CALL letting me know when it arrived and I could pick it up. After two weeks of waiting, I decided to call and check on the date of pick up. I was informed the date was August 6th and that I would be called when it arrived. So thus far they were in with their 2-4 week promise. No call. On August 6th, I called to ask if it has come in yet. I was informed the date had moved to August 27th. They blamed the manufacturer and told me I would be called when it arrived. ..6 weeks.. No call. On August 27th, I called to ask if it had come in yet. I was informed the date had moved to September 10th. Once again, they claim it to be the manufacturer's fault and I'll get a call when it arrives. ..8 weeks.. No call, so finally, September 10th, I called and am told the the date had moved again to September 24th (10 weeks!). I decided to visit the store to cancel my order and get my refund. The lady at their checkout station processed my cancellation/refund, informs me that it will take 21 BUSINESS DAYS (1 month) to get me my refund check, that I have to PICK UP THE CHECK AT THE STORE, and that I will RECEIVE A CALL when the check arrives. So between September 10th and October 11th, I venture out to another furniture store (Gardiner's in Pasadena, MD) and find the same desk! The salesman there informs me that the desk has been discontinued from production, that his computer shows they have one left in Gardiner's warehouse, and that the desk is ASHLEY'S OWN MANUFACTURED BRAND. I purchased the desk from Gardiner's for a lower price and received it the next week. No call from Ashley's, so on October 11th, I visit the store and get the same lady at the checkout station. So when I ask for me refund check, I get "oh, it may take another 21 business days" with a rolling of the eyes to compliment it. I asked for the manager. The manager comes out and I tell him my Ashley's experience and that I want my refund. He assures me that he will make my refund a "top priority and will get to the bottom of it". After waiting another 25 minutes, he comes back and says the check will be on the next shipment of checks for tomorrow, and that I should drive back over to pick it up. I ask him to overnight mail it to me because I was there to pick it up now. He refuses and says if he mails it there will be no express mailing. After I get home, Craig calls me to say the check missed the shipment and that it will be at the store on Tuesday (October 15th). He promises to call me back when he knows more and when the check arrives, that he is "staying on top of it." I never heard from Craig again. I call October 15th and am informed my check hasn't even been processed and Craig is off for a couple of days. I wait a week, and after no calls, I get their parent company's number (Regency Furniture) and call. I ask to speak to a supervisor and get put on hold for 35 minutes. Finally the call rings back to the Customer Service lady, who rudely tells me that I should call back tomorrow. "What were you expecting calling at this hour?" she kept saying over and over. I call the next day and get a different Customer Service Rep. She tells me the supervisors are in a meeting and asks if she can relay my message. So I tell her my entire Ashley's experience up to that point. I hinted around to litigation to collect and Better Business Bureau if I didn't hear back from someone in 48 hours. She was extremely pleasant and professional. No calls. So after another week, I call back to give Ashley's one last chance to make it right and also to record them (with permission) telling me all the details of my hassle (confirming the dates they moved back the furniture arrival, when they first got my cancellation/refund order, the notes the reps had put in about my inquiries, etc.). I get the extremely pleasant Sales Service Rep again who informs me she forwarded my complaint to TWO SUPERVISORS and her BOSS and was baffled that none of them had contacted me. So after getting the recording, she asks if I wanted to wait to see if she can find a supervisor. I told her "no, I'm seeking other means of collecting my money, and I'm going to get it." She calls me back 20 minutes later with an "Accounts Payable" Rep on the line, who informs me she will get my check ready in 48 hours and call me when its ready. She also promises Certified Mail shipping so I can track it. 72 hours later, she calls and says she's sending it regular mail, no exceptions. Received it 4 days later on November 19th (10 weeks/50 business days since September 10th) Pathetic business that can't keep their promises. Never again will I buy from Ashley's. read more

My wife and I stopped in to look for a leather chair and ottoman. Though they did not have exactly what we were looking for, we did find a couch. We had no intention to purchase a couch today, however Ashley was having a good sale and it was the type of couch for which we have been searching. Still, no intention to purchase the couch, but Mike (one of their sales associates) was real effective and top notch. NOT at all what you would think of for a salesman. I found a similar couch on line and he thought Ashley did not want to lose a sale. He got his manager (Dave) and sure enough, they did not wish us to leave unhappy. We purchased the couch for a terrific price and could not be happier. I would rather walk across hot coals than go furniture shopping. Mike and Dave did make the experience easy and I appreciate that. Go to Ashley Furniture first before you go elsewhere. I had a great experience here. A friend and I went to get couches for our apartments and were really satisfied. The furniture displays were spaced out and comforting, with lots of decor so you could see what it looked like in a home. What we really appreciated though were the salesmen. They were friendly and casual, not like some stores with some guy heavily pressuring you with his tobacco breath lol. The salesmen were super helpful and informative. He even honored my friend's online price of the one he wanted, which was a few hundred cheaper. And on top of that he coupled it with the current deal at the time and saved us a few hundred bucks each. Mike was great at explaining all the payment options and the warranty without the complicated mumbo jumbo. Definitely go here and ask for Mike if you are looking for good well built furniture at good prices. read more

In early April 2018 I went to this store in search of a couch. The salesman was helpful and I was able to find a reasonably priced couch I liked. While the couch fit the measurements for the doorways in my apartment, I was weary of the length of the couch. I have a second floor apartment with a tight turn in the doorway, and I wasnt sure if it would fit or not. The salesman reassured me saying it would fit, and if it didnt for some reason I could return it for a refund. I dropped a little over 500$ on the couch. Over 4 weeks later I finally recieved a call saying it was ready to be delivered. The delivery guys showed up and attempted for about 30 seconds to get the couch in my doorway before they said it wouldn't fit. They didnt even want to take it out of the huge cardboard box it was in, which would of given another 4 inches or so. Awesome, 4 weeks of time wasted. I called the store saying what happened only to be told I would not be receiving my money back unless I paid a 30% restocking fee, my other only option was store credit. I was never told about this policy before purchasing, and I was only able to find it on the small print on the back of the receipt which I recieved AFTER my purchase. They even had the audacity to offer me another couch which they promised would fit for an additional $200. I dont want any of their furniture and now I have over $500 of MY money tied up with them. I went in and bought a couch and dining room set on 1/18/2018. I was told it would take 3-10 weeks for my items to come in. The couch and the table arrived on 3/6/18 which falls in the time frame quoted, but I was told the chairs had not come in yet. Each time I called to see if the chairs arrived, the arrival time for the chairs kept getting pushed back each time by two weeks. I just received my chairs this past weekend on APRIL 28, 2018. IT TOOK OVER THREE MONTHS TO RECEIVE THE CHAIRS. I will also mention that I had to pick these up at the warehouse and install them myself because I had already used my delivery fee for my table and couch, and I did not want to pay ANOTHER delivery fee. Each time I called about my chairs, no one gave me a clear answer as to why it was taking so long for the chairs to come in, and no one really offered any solutions (i.e offer a refund, or exchange, or waive the delivery fee, or offer free delivery for when the chairs did come in). It felt like no one on the customer service side did anything to really find out what was going on. Each time I called someone they would write an email to someone, and then the next time I would call no one would have a response to that email and they would just write another email. None of the girls up front ever followed back with me whenever they said they would write an email. I also felt like the manager in the should have done more to find out what was going on with the order. He should have reached out to corporate and make more of an effort. Although, the furniture is good quality and I am happy with my products I do not think I will shop here again because waiting 3-4 months for furniture is unacceptable and frustrating. read more

Like previous scribers to this blog, if there were zero stars I could mark, I would put that. So because I have to put one, I will. My wife and I recently purchased a bedroom set from the Ashley Home Furniture store in Rosedale, Maryland. Shortly thereafter we discovered, after the bedroom set had been delivered, it was the wrong bedroom set. To be fair, it took us a couple of weeks to discover the error after we seen a picture of the bedroom set we had decided on when we were in the store. But in our defense, it took them five weeks to deliver the furniture. The delivery was a mess as well, as one of the pieces was broken and the delivery people tried to repair the dresser outside our home. If it hadn't been for my wife walking out, they would have maybe fixed it without us knowing the top had been dislodged from the dresser. So after the discover the bedroom furniture delivered was wrong, I called and tried to resolve the issue with customer service and the store manager but to no avail. The store manager told me we should have inspected the items prior to signing for the furniture and making sure it was the right items. Also, the store manager told me the items we had purchased were the less expensive furniture in that line of furniture. The furniture we seen on the showroom floor was more expensive. This statement was appalling to hear. As from what we understood we were buying the bedroom furniture we had selected in the showroom, not another version of the same line of furniture. What's sad is that this store is the modern day version of the shady used car salesman. Money hungry, greedy, and downright deceitful. They cover their backside by stating that once they get your hard earned money, you won't get it back because they have a no refund, only store credit, no returning anything without a restocking fee and a $150 fee to pick-up the furniture from your home. It doesn't matter to the management or store salesmen, they are all greedy and I have no idea how they live with themselves being that awful to their customers. I encourage anyone reading this blog, go somewhere else to buy furniture. Or if you do decide to buy furniture there, just beware. read more

Salesman was good at first store manager lied about financing. Then got multiple stories about our order and delivery dates. It will be past the time 2 to 6 weeks more like 8 or 9 weeks. But since it arrive in there warehouse on the last day of the six weeks there will be no compensation for it I would not recommend Ashleys Furniture to anyone or Don't deal with salesman Andrew O'Brien or store manager Joe. STAY AWAY....HORRIBLE service, I bought a sectional that cost over $2500 back in November and requested delivery they then call to tell me it couldn't be delivered on the original guaranteed date because they overbooked and wanted me to wait over a week, went back and forth with them several times and finally got it moved up to a somewhat acceptable time frame. Now not even 2 months into owning it the frames on the recliner sections began to give out and break, called these clowns and tell me we have to send someone out to look and determine if you caused it or not...really? not even 2 months old. So the outside company since Ashley can't take care of their own business calls me to schedule a sevice date which was 2 weeks away which was already rediculous. Service date comes around and guess who can't make it on time after we sat around all day waiting for our scheduled time window, then when I call them and tell them we can't wait anymore they tell me the soonest they can come is another MONTH! So ofcourse I call Ashley again just to get some more run around and finally they get another company to come the following week. So they come out look and tell us it Def shouldn't be doing that and the frame was coming apart in the back blah blah, that they would turn in the photos and findings that same day to Ashley. So a week goes by and nothing from ashley still so I start calling, ofcourse no one answers the phone and then when they do I get O your repair representative isn't here but they will be shortly and we will have them call you. 1. Why does a certain person need to tell me what the results were 2. Why do I have to call and find out the results after nothing for a week 3. The individual didn't call back and when I call again they just happen to be on lunch 4. I waited and called again they finally get on the phone and tell me they will come pick up the pieces of the couch and take them back to service them which would be up to 2 weeks, seriously? So I buy and extended warranty and they won't just replace the backs of the sections, instead I have to have half my couch missing for 2 weeks. So it's been a week and half now and someone called yesterday but we missed the call and when I called back it keeps saying they are closed. So I call the store line which informs me service is closed to public on Saturdays so they don't take calls, I inform them someone called us probably about my repair so they say ok we will call them and have them call you back. Wanna guess what happened? That's right no call, I called back a 2nd and 3rd time being told the same thing by 3 different people and we will call over someone will call you back. This has all been going on over a month now and is rediculous and unacceptable, Ashley furniture atleast rosedale location is a joke and piss poor customer service. You ask for a Manger and get some dingbat that she can't even answer your questions, if I didn't work long hours and had more free time I woulda just showed up and chewed their ass out in person. This place is a rip off. They mark up the price significantly compared to what is posted on Ashley's website and then pretend to offer large discounts. Even after the discount, they will charge you several hundreds more than what you can buy from the website. Went in to buy a dinning table. They had priced a chair at 335$ that was being offered on the website at 150$. Of course they were offering 50% off which brings it down to 167$ per chair. For the table, they had priced the table at 1200, while it was marked on the website at 568 after 30% discount. Will never go back to this store. read more

Where's the zero or negative stars option?!?!?! This store is absolutely HORRIBLE, so stay far, far away!!! Long story short, I ordered a $1500 Serta iConfort bed and a $150 mattress cover from them, agreed to pay the extraordinary high $150 delivery fee even though they don't remove old bed sets, and waited the "couple of days" they assured me they would call to set up delivery. Today after 1 week I called them and was told that the bed had not arrived at the warehouse yet, so I informed them that I wanted to cancel it and they in turn said that there would be a restocking fee for an item that had not left their stock, and that I couldn't return the mattress cover because I took it out of the store. So I just returned from this store and was told the same thing I was told on the phone an hour before without an explanation. With that, I sat the mattress cover on their counter, calmly said have a nice day and walked out of the store... let them try to charge me anything!!! read more

ZERO STARS I should have paid attention to previous reviews. I ordered a sleeper sofa for my son's first apartment. Invoice states that furniture would be available in two to six weeks. First notification from Ashley it would be available about three weeks after the order. Sounded great. A couple days before the first promised date we got another notification that it would be another two weeks. Okay, still going to available five weeks after ordering. Not so fast, a couple days before the second promised date, we get another notification. It's going to be another two weeks. So, I called our salesman, Senior Associate Bradley Bumgarner. He was so helpful when we placed the order. Promised to take care of us. Now, there's nothing he can do: "I can't call the factory and tell them to make the sofa". We decide to bite the bullet and wait for the next promised date. That was today. Guess what, now it's going to be another two weeks. Bottom line, don't buy anything from this place. They don't deliver as promised. They string you along and act like it's not their fault and there's nothing they can do. read more

"Buyer Beware" I'm going to get right to the point: I recently purchased furniture from the Rosedale store and it appears MD state law is of no concern to the owner and sales people. The actions that were not lawful/ethical. 1. The sales person Joel and sales manager David failed to disclose that the merchandise they sold me was out of stock and on backorder. The store sold merchandise that was not in their possession and the sales person failed to disclose that fact at the time of the sale. This is not lawful. 2. The store disguised an attempt to boost its sales so it wouldn't have to close its doors, as a liquidation sale, where they advertised closeout prices and everything had to go but did not have the inventory to support the sale. False advertisement is not lawful. 3. The store failed to give an estimated delivery date at the time of the sale. The law requires a merchant to give an estimated delivery date when money is exchanged for merchandise that will be delivered separate from the transaction. According to the Consumer Protection Agency through the MD States Attorney General's office, the sales person Joel was required by law to disclose that the store was not in possession of the furniture it sold me. The merchandise delivery act requires disclosure when money is exchanged for merchandise that is not presented at the same time but will be delivered at a later date. That law also requires the merchant to include terms and conditions that address action taken by the merchant/consumer when the merchandise that's been purchased is no longer available. The Ashley furniture invoice did not include any such term/condition. Dave did let us know a couple of times during the stroll through the store that we should purchase something since we had kept everyone there passed closing. He played the guilt card a couple of times and I fell for it. Recently, my husband went to the Rosedale store to exercise our right under the law to request a full refund because of the sales person's failure to disclose that the furniture was on back order. The sales manager Sterling told my husband that he could not issue the refund; but he could refund the delivery fee or my husband could call customer care to see if they would issue the refund. Sterling also stated, after looking at his computer that all of the furniture we ordered was in. Sterling's response was unacceptable therefore; I contacted Customer care. While I was on the phone Nadine from Regency Furniture, she contacted the Rosedale store and they refused to issue a refund. Nadine then stated that she would communicate my concerns with Rosedale's total disregard for the law, to the corporate office. It's been a week and I haven't heard from corporate yet. Based upon other reviews, I won't hold my breath. I contacted corporate before contacting the customer care center and the HR administrator at Ashley Furniture Corporate did not waste any time telling me that the "licensees don't work for Ashley furniture; they just sell our furniture". I am sure people don't know that Ashley Furniture Corporate does not handle their own customer concerns; they source that out to Regency Furniture which handles customer concerns for Regency, Marlow and Ashley Furniture stores. I followed the law by requesting the refund now I can file my formal complaint against the Rosedale store, to the Consumer Protection Agency. What I am wondering is how many people out there would be willing to file a class action suit against Ashley Furniture Corporate and the licensees who are bending the law. Here is background information: In January when my husband and I purchased furniture at the Liquidation sale in the Rosedale store there were large posters in the window boasting of Closeout Prices and that "Everything Must Go. And all of the price tags in the store had red slashes through the prices. The sales manager Dave shared that the owner of the Rosedale store purchases thousands of pieces of furniture so customers don't have to wait as long for their furniture, as those who purchase from other stores; he shared that the warehouse where the furniture is stored is minutes away from the store and that the invoice/receipt that was presented to me to sign was designed especially for the liquidation sale. David shared the furniture stockpiling story while I was picking out the furniture, and the rest of the information he shared the night of the sale when my husband and I asked for an estimated delivery date and were given an estimated time frame of 2 to 6 weeks instead. A week after the sale when I asked Dave again, for an estimated delivery date and told him that if he didn't give me one, he had 30 days from the initial sale date to deliver my furniture or he had to refund all of my money. Dave's response was to tell me that my furniture was on backorder and that he had 3-8 weeks to deliver it. Imagine my surprise to find out that my furniture was on backorder from day one. read more

I have since moved out of their service area so they want me to bring the mattress to Maryland to be checked out. I now live in NJ. So I called the manf, the manf is saying the sku on the receipt isn't even valid, also the mattress has no warranty what's so ever, because the sku means it's a floor model or display. This is Rich T...i ordered furniture about 2 months ago, and when they delievered it they said they couldnt get the sofa in.. & i told them to try it a different way they said they didnt have time and i thought i was the customer to try to get it in every way you could. Then i called the store manager, Joe at rosedale and he said there is nothing he could do and i said the only thing i want to do is come there and pick out new furiture and the love seat and ottoman they left here they couldnt even pick it up without paying $100 and a re-stocking fee. so i told them nevermind i will call a lawyer and let them handle it. Well after waiting nearly 8 weeks we finally got our furniture. Am I pleased with the furniture? Yes, Do I Love my furniture? Absolutely! So why such a low rating! The customer service was horrible! And I felt like the salesman played a lot of games to get his little commission. My fiance and I went into this location with the intention to look at a few sets of furniture and ended up liking a few things so we decided to finance. The salesman took all of our info and came back and said hey your approved. Great!!!! So we completed our decisions about what we wanted. Then proceeded to ask questions. Such as what if we want to change our minds later. Sales Associate says, NOT A PROBLEM YOU CAN EXCHANGE IF IT DOESN'T FIT YOUR NEEDS. Knowing how picky I am I always ask this question. Long story short. The salesman did not tell me that once you buy the furniture you cannot cancel the order without being charged a 30% cancelation fee. Also, it was not until afterwards we signed all the paperwork that the salesman then tells us that we would not receive our furniture for another 6 to 8 weeks!!!!! EXCUSE ME??? After this everything went down hill. We were not told about any of this until they had us locked in! Part of this was my fault because like many of us we didn't read all of the fine print. I suggest going else where to get furniture. The wait is not worth the hassle of feeling like you've been played and suckered in for your money!!! This is just the short version. Ashley store as a whole is rubbish.....I went into the Rosedale location on December 22, 2018 to purchase both a living and dining room set in cash...no credit nothing cash...around the holidays and noticed that there was not a single soul in the building...so with that in mind they told me that they would give me a great deal if I purchased everything today...so I did....along with the furniture they gave me half off on the warranty and free shipping...I thought great....I will definitely be returning to purchase additional items....even opened up an Ashley Furniture credit account.....once I got home I noticed that my receipt was for a 3 piece sectional and not the 4 piece sectional that I showed the sales person in the store and repeatedly said that I wanted...I called the next day and again no problem they said to come in and they would fix the problem...I am beyond ecstatic....now it comes down to the delivery which I was told between 4 to 6 weeks for delivery...I was okay with that until I kept getting phone calls rescheduling my delivery dates....the 6 week mark will be on February 2, 2019 but I was told now that I will have to wait until February 16, 2019 to have the furniture sent to the warehouse and the furniture would be delivered 3 to 4 days after that...I called the store...spoke to the store manager Brittany and she said that if I wanted another set I would have to pay the difference....I contacted the regional office for the area to see if they could contact the manufacturer to see what the delay was and they told me that the manufacturer does not have a number...which is a lie because every company has a number....I told them that I was not happy and all they could say was sorry....I would never order another piece of furniture from them again....customer service on all levels is garbage....I should have went to Value City as my gut told me to... read more

My wife and I went looking for a chair. We purchased the chair along with a table clock, I saw in the store. Before leaving we purchased two more items. My Saleman Devon was great along with the lady who takes the payments. As we were about to walk out, it all went to Hell in a handbasket. Remember I purchased a table clock when I first got there, I guess there aren't any bags to put it inside, I had to carry it out. As I walked towards the door another salesman snatched it from me and when I say snatched. He snatched the clock out my hand and told me you wont be stealing shit from this store, he walked off. As we tried to tell him I have a receipt for it, he said get away from him. He didn't want to look at the receipt, but jumped in my face and wanted to fight. With all the commotion brewing, another staff member walked up and she said yes he purchased the clock. Now he's trying to apologize to me and my wife Hell No we don't want your apology now. The manager Max( didn't give me a last name), sent him to the back, he apologized for what happened. Once again being an African American couple we got discriminated against, sadly the salesman was African American also. I'm writing this because we were totally embarrassed and humiliated in front of all the customers, this guy approached me and treated me like I was a criminal glad the police weren't called to try and lock me up for making a legal purchase. When we left a customer stopped us outside, to ask if they needed them to be witnesses to what just happened. I wouldn't even be writing this right now, if he went about this differently. Ask for my receipt I'd showed him and life goes on. Ashley furniture needs to retrain or train their staff on customer service. read more

The delivery service is not good. We had to wait 4 weeks for our furniture to be delivered to the warehouse which we agreed to. When the furniture was finally able to be delivered we were given a time between 3-7pm. They literally came at 6:58. We ordered a sofa a chair. When the unpacked the furniture the chair didn't have the legs with it so we only accepted the sofa and told to call the store for it to be redelivered. After calling and being told that I had to talk the store manager but she wasn't in that I could leave my number I never received a call back. after about 2 days we finally get told that the chair was in stock but would not be able to be delivered until the following week which I find very unacceptable being that it was not our fault for the chair having to be sent back in the first place. I feel that it should have been a priority for our chair to be a rush delivery since there were error on their part. Everyone I spoke to to was very nonchalant and unapologetic about the situation but when we were there to make the make a purchase there was no problem in taking my money in full my I add even though we had to had wait a month to get our furniture. The sales guy was very friendly and helpful. Went there on a Wednesday and seen that they was having a midnight madness sale on Friday with 75% off with free delivery. He went to see if i could get the sale price a couple days early, he came back with a manager and she said that was fine. Explain that a needed a sofa low to the floor because i had a cat. That was fine, he ans the manager rook me around the store and showed me a few sofas that was nice. When it came to pay the sofa was not 75% off like the sign and the sale guy said it was. The manager took the guy in the back and spoke with him. They say it will take 2 weeks or more forbthe sofa to be delivered. They get you to sign the receipt but they never tell you that you can not come back and cancell the order or there will be a restocking fee. The sale said free delivery as well as the sales rep but when i got my receipt they charge for delivery and they never offer the warranty on the sofa because i had a cat. What does a cat have anything to do if a stain gets on the sofa or something else happens to the sofa? All and all the sales rep was really nice but they need to explain everything to the customer before they hurry them up to sign the receipt. NEVER SHOP HERE. Actually, I would recommend it if you wanted to get some well priced, cheap furniture. Unfortunately with lower prices comes a weaker service staff and really nasty customer service. We had a disaster of a time getting delivery arranged. Goods came damaged and when we asked to return it and get our money back they only refund 70% of purchase price!!! Let me first say, I am big on customer service, If i am told i am going to be called back within a day, i expect it. I ordered some tall bar stools from the Ashley store in Rosedale, when they were delivered they were not the ones I ordered. I was told they were just not the right height I ordered. I asked if we could exchange them for something else and pay the difference ..this is where the runaround start. I was told numerous times that I would get a call back, well it never happened. I would call back and told the same thing again, the reason the calls were being delayed was they were waiting for the warehouse to respond on stock and availability. Finally I call back and this time i mentioned the low rating on BBB and this time i got a call back immediate. I was told that they could exchange them but i would pay delivery charges and restocking fees and this cost was almost even with the price i paid for the bar stools. Remember, they realize they sent me the wrong height from the beginning. I decided it wasn't worth pursuiing anymore and I found better bar stools less cost even with delivery at Wayfair. It was obvious that they wanted me to give up but in the long wrong they did not just lose my business they lost my family and friends too. I intended to get a sleeper sofa from them as well, glad i had this experience because i knew to look elsewhere. By the way they told me it would take 6 to 8 weeks for a sleeper sofa, which is laughable. I got mine from Bob's furniture in less than a week and the sale person was an ex Ashley employee. At first I was upset but sometimes you realize that losing a little prevent you from losing alot. This is one store i can scratch off my list of possible places when looking for furniture. Let me say, my first review was written after purchasing the furniture, and having a positive sales experience. So for this, I will give them two stars. I have an update on actually receiving the furniture. Our delivery was scheduled for 4-6 weeks after purchase, which is totally fine. On delivery day, everything went well EXCEPT our headboard didn't have the holes drilled into it, so the delivery guys couldn't put our bed together. The headboard was taken back to the warehouse, we were told sorry for the inconvenience, and a new bed had to be ordered. Whatever, things happen. Now, ANOTHER month later, our headboard was scheduled for delivery. It was delivered, only to find that it was the WRONG headboard. I called the store immediately, and had to send pictures of what we ordered, and what we actually received. Thank god I took pictures at the store that day. We were supposed to receive a phone call on Saturday or Sunday, and we still haven't received a call back. This is beyond frustrating as over two months ago, we gave them a lot of business, and are still waiting for the correct bed and a resolution. I personally wouldn't order from them again. read more

I bought a cocktail table from Ashley Furniture. The salesman was very nice to deal with, I wrote a check and was told I would receive a phone call when my table was ready for pickup. When a young lady called me, I asked her to get the measurements of the box to see if it would fit in my vehicle. She told me the table was at the warehouse. I asked her if she could call the warehouse for the size and I was told there was no phone in the back of the warehouse. I asked if someone in the front of the warehouse could go to the back and find out the size and get back to me. No go. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told there is no manager. I asked to speak to the assistant manager, again there is no assistant manager. I asked to speak to whoever was in charge, again no luck. They gave me the phone number for corporate. They must have called corporate ahead of me because they were really crappy to me, put me on hold for about 15 minutes and then sent me to voicemail. I felt like I needed an executive order to find out the size of the stupid box. They didn't give me all this hassle selling me the table. Needless to say, I will never purchase anything else from Ashley, Regency or Marlo Furniture, their sister stores ever again. I wish I would have read the reviews before my experience with them. read more

Worst customer experience ever. Bought a couch in December and in January it was delivered. Was told by the driver it would "no fit" so it was returned. They didn't actually try to take it downstairs nor did they measure. Repurchased another couch after remeasuring. Waited 8 weeks for it to come in and was told on St Pattys it would be delivered 11-3. 2:52 comes up. I get a call "driver is 1-1.5 hours late" 525 I call the number back. They're closed. I call the Golden Ring location. "I'm sorry but it's still out for delivery. It might be up to 8pm" I asked if I could have my delivery fee refunded. They say that should be fine. 8pm rolls around. No couch. I spend the next 3 days and over a dozen phone calls trying to find out where it is. The girl kept saying it's still out for delivery. Several days go by. I'm told I can get the delivery fee back and additional compensation once is delivered. Anyway, it was delivered Wednesday. The delivery crew once again told us it "no fit" my fiancée was luckily home this time and made them take it to the basement. It fit fine which leads me to believe the original couch we ordered in December and showed up in January would have fit. I call the store back to find out about my compensation. I'm getting the delivery fee back. No additional discounts. What a joke. I've wasted so much of my time with this company I am disgusted. Never again read more

if i could give place a -10 i would! DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM HERE! I purchased a mattress and adjustable base from this store, the manager joe and assistant sales manager sold it to me. It was expensive! They said it would take 3 weeks to get in, and we agreed to that, we upgraded from a queen to a king, they guaranteed me there would NOT be an issue delivering it and getting it upstairs in my townhome. But after i signed that sales slip, it was clear they didn't care about anything but there money and commision. i was given a 4 hour window on a friday for delivery, i was told ALL of my furniture had to be moved so the delivery men would have room to assemble, and they would not discard my current furniture or move anything in there way, so we got rid of our mattress the morning of, and had our entire bedroom clear as asked. The delivery men delivered the base and installed it in our bedroom on the 2nd floor, then came to tell my husband (i was not home) that the mattress we purchased was too large, and he had been delivering for a long time and to take his word, he wouldn't even take it off the truck and attempt it. So i asked myself if he has been delivering for so long and we should take his word why even bring the base in because clearly you knew as soon as you arrived that it wouldn't fit, or was fact that it was friday afternoon and they had more deliveries and wanted to get home? so i called the store when i was made aware of the situation, spoke to joe the manager, he said he was calling the warehouse and would call right back, he insisted it would be fixed and they would still deliver that day. i checked in every 1/2 hr with joe just to get an attitude that he was busy selling to other customers in the store and he would call me when the warehouse returned the call. Finally i demanded the warehouse number for myself, called over there 1 1/2 hrs after speaking to joe the manager, i spoke to tiffany the warehouse manager.... joe never called he emailed, had he called when i spoke to him she would have had them redeliver, but the delivery men had left for the day because at this point it's 5 pm on a friday. i then called the store back to find out why he emailed and not called, i had the opportunity to speak to the general manager DJ Ginza. unfortunately our call was cut short to do power outages and down phone lines due to bad weather. i received a text from a sales associate that the GM apologizes that the call was dropped and will be in contact as soon as the phone lines are restored....(2 weeks later i still have yet to be contacted by the GM) The warehouse then guarantee me delivery saturday from 7am-12pm. Saturday morning i called to make sure everything was still in place, i was told yes everything is running on time, give it to noon. 12:15 still no delivery, i call the store who calls the warehouse, "running on schedule" clearly not bc we are 15 mins after the end of my 5 hr call window... finally speak to destiny the office manager at the store who calls the warehouse, only to be told the delivery men only had 1 delivery today and they are 1/2 hr out. 45 mins later still no delivery. finally they arrived, to let us know they were just called to come in and deliver, they were never scheduled to work on sat, yet i was told for 5 hrs everything was running on time. they get the mattress in, and before placing it on the adjustable base they inform me that we are missing a piece, and the blots are not tightened on our base, so they had to re do the base, bolts, screws, cables. i called the store, and warehouse for 2 weeks about this missing part only to not have my calls returned and constantly be told that they would need to contact the warehouse. i emailed the customer service email that seems to be listed in response to every other bad review, 1 week later, still NO RESPONSE. I went in to the store today since that seems to be the only way to speak to someone, only to wait 25 mins to speak to the manager, Joe they proceeded to tell me the part is something that needs to be ordered separately, i asked why wasnt that done when the original purchase had been made since the floor model that i was shown when he made the sale had it, he responded with "i don't know" i said i have been calling leaving messages for you for 2 weeks, he respond with "i'm aware, i didn't see it fit to return the call". The customer service in this place is ridiculous, and coming from a manager at that. Take my advice, go to value city, gardners, price busters, anywhere but here!!! once they have your money they wash their hands clean of you! read more

Rosedale store is the worst I've ever seen. I have a horrible experience with this store. They won't never respect the delivery schedule. They will send you weeks after weeks... This is my very last time I buy furniture at Ashley Furniture, and I will discourage anybody to go to this store. If there was a way to make this -1000 I would. My husband and I purchased a sofa from Ashley and within a very short time the cushions started to break down. We called for a repair. They sent several boxes that according to the repair person were not the right material. So we waited until the correct materials arrived. More boxes showed up and the repair person came back. He did not use the correct material (basically shredded cotton and not the foam cushion that was sent) so needless to say, the cushions broke down again! Ashley has refused to come back and fix the initial problem with the correct material which is still in a box in my attic. It is our opinion that this company does not care about their customers nor their reputation! It is also our opinion that the furniture that was delivered is not the same as the furniture that was picked out in the showroom. It is of inferior quality. Ashley, also known as, Regency Furniture. is the worst company we have ever dealt with. They treated us like we didn't matter once they had our money. I purchased furniture from Ashley on 3-29-18 and paid close to 7'000 dollars cash when u walked in the door they were great and most helpful until it was time for the delivery. They delivered the furniture that they had in stock took 2 weeks but forgot 1 piece then had to wait a few more days for that piece of furniture. The rest of our purchase was mattress and bedroom furniture it came in to the warehouse on 17 or 18 of April they called and set up a delivery date for April the 30th. The did not show up or even bother to call waited all day I called the store and was told the delivery had been canceled by the warehouse and no reason why. I was on the phone all day the store kept telling me they would call me back but didn't call. When I called back they would put me on hold and after 5 minutes it would go back to the operator and would have to call over again this went on all day from 1:15 pm until 7pm finally I got in touch with my salesman and he turned me over to the manager. He told me I would have to wait another 2 weeks for delivery at this point I told him I wanted my money back was told he had no money or checks at his store I asked him if the warehouse worked for him or he worked for the warehouse. He blamed everything on the warehouse. I told him it was his responsibility I bought the furniture from u and not the warehouse! As of today 5-3-18 no furniture or no money we are 70 and still sleeping on air mattress. Please don't be fooled by Ashley friendly greeting when u walk in the door this is has been a very stressful experience! read more
