Our sofa set was delivered yesterday. It took longer than expected (20 days), but the communication from the distribution center was good. A rep called us a week prior to schedule the delivery. They were not flexible on the dates so I had to get a day off from work. When the Ashley brand truck arrived 2 guys introduced themselves and were very professional, friendly, and efficient. This could really be a bad review but I have a theory, when things go wrong what did the business do to correct the situation, that's what really counts! In our case, delivery dates were missed, only 2 of 4 dining room chairs were delivered, poor quality craftsmanship etc. Luckily we escalated our issues to store management Russell and Christina and one by one they got it corrected and we're finally happy, it took a while, a little negotiation, but in the end he made it right and that's what counts, thanks. My wife and I were looking for a new bed for our son and needed something similar to a bunk-bed to accommodate his little brother; which is on his way. They had a great compact style bunk-bed with additional storage and a safer way to access the top bunk with steps instead of a ladder. We also bought a Cal King bed and a dresser with mirror. Their products are popular and I have some favorites in their store. With the additional 15% off on top of their special for the month, I would say don't be afraid to shop at Ashley's because of their past -- they have proven to me to be the best. Their customer service was great and is every time I browse the Rosedale location in Bakersfield California. Their representative Daniel has the best customer service and I will send all of my friends and family members his way. Additionally, the delivery crew was on-time, professional, respectful and efficient. I didn't have a single ding or dent in any of large furniture. I would give these guys a raise/bonus if I was their supervisor. I give four stars only because everything can get better and I'm sure they will. read more

I had a great experience with them! We bought multiple furniture pieces and the woman that helped us was so nice. She wasn't pushy and was really helpful. They estimated 2 in half week delivery and it came in less than 2 weeks! The movers were extremely fast. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the table, chairs, and end tables, some of them aren't even(the legs) so they wobble a little but it's fixable. This store is so ridiculously poorly ran. There's not an ounce of organization and I'm not sure there ever will be. I came in looking for a bedroom set and the sales associate who assisted me wreaked of alcohol. They looked strung out. Needless to say we didn't get anywhere with that one. We bought almost everything for my house when moved out here around 8 months ago. Price was good consider we shopped quiet bit with their competitions around them. Everything was smooth through out ordering and delivering accept couple items were back order. But I was informed at the time of purchase. They made effort making the second delivery for those back order items. This is good customer service but I didn't care, it was a good sale for them. Until our dining table's leg had a crack couple weeks ago. I called in to get help. Again replacement leg was UPS to us yesterday. Now that is impressive customer service. The store itself is nice. Lots of nice stuff to look at. The prices can be a little steep but, if you get a good salesman then hopefully you can get a good deal. I went in on once occasion and inquired about a bedroom set. Everything was fine up until they started discussing the final price. Things just didn't add up, especially with their whole shipping and set up fees. We honestly felt like we were being duped so I said no thanks and left. Came back a few weeks later and came across a nice salesman. His name was David. He's the guy you want to talk to, he was a pretty chill no pressure type of guy. Told jokes and made us feel like we could actually ask questions. In the end he ended up getting me the same bedroom set I wanted for over $1000 off the other guys price. He's there to help, he did his job and at the end of the day we left with a new bedroom set. Props to David E. if you decide to buy furniture here make sure you talk to him. I give the store a 3.5 rating, because they have nice stuff but if you talk to the wrong people the outcome could be bad. I'd give David the full 5 stars. This was a lackluster experience that snowballed into a bad one. The service was nothing special on the day of our purchase and we didn't feel great about having to wait a few weeks for our items. The pricing was quite competitive but the delivery time made it silly. We could have drove an hour and gotten our furniture sooner from elsewhere. The worst part of all was that we were told 2 weeks for delivery then it became 3 weeks. After waiting 2 weeks for our second order of items, no one showed up on the delivery date!!! We called in and we were advised it was being pushed back until February; 6 weeks out rather than the initial 2 weeks!!! Ashley store didn't even call us to let us know, WE had to call to ask why we missed a day of work waiting for a shipment that was already pushed back until February. Horrible place. This lack of professionalism and follow through is why people pay more and drive farther for business. read more

Not much to say here, this company lies, repeatedly. Shame on us, we have been subjected to those lies twice. The most recent? ... today. Promised delivery of two couches on 01/12/2018, Called us at 5:00 pm to tell us we wouldn't receive delivery until 01/16/2018. Well, after an hour of being pushed back and forth between this person and that person, my wife managed to get Saturday delivery. That remains to be seen as this was deja vu from a few years ago with this shady company. So much more to say, but I will wait to see if they lie to us again on Saturday. read more

Well turns out the warranty they sold me only covers cracking and peeling of 100% leather. We were told our couch is covered for everything leather is covered for. LIARS! Their solution. Visited a few weeks ago (still waiting on our furniture) to buy a dining table and sofas. After spending a decent amount, returned a few days ago to find a matching coffee table and some other small items. After waiting nearly 30 minutes, I had the absolute WORST experience. One rep helped us only to be paged and never return.. We had three other sales people pass us and still didn't bother to help until we were finally walking out.. I was in such a huff I called and spoke to the manager John who gave me 30 percent off. When I returned to try and finally pick the pieces we needed another lady helped us and stated that "we get pulled in 4 different places at times... We are always busy... What is it you need..." She was extremely rude. I will NEVER return to Ashley's. My personal recommendation is use the store as a opportunity to see the furniture in person and order it elsewhere. You can get this furniture nearly anywhere... DO NOT bother with these people. Worst service ever! read more

I wanted to be the person to write a glowing review but my experience echos the experiences of the other reviewers. Great sales staff but horrible delivery service. I placed my order & handed over my $$ on 11/30/2014 with the promise that over 3 weeks was enough lead time to have my sofa, loveseat and tables delivered by Christmas Eve, guess what?? my guests will be sitting on pillows. This doesn't seem to bother anyone I talked with and I was told multiple times to read the fine print, the delivery date is an estimate or I could pick the items up myself from their warehouse in Visalia!! This solution is absurd! After the frustration of talking to the distribution center I called my local store. After talking with a nice sales gal, Brittany, the only solution seemed to be a discount. This isn't what I wanted and does not solve my problem. I would think a large company would hire more staff and rent additional trucks during the holiday season so these types of things don't happen. I'm very disappointed with my experience and would not recommend anyone purchase anything from this store. I understand problems arise but I think in a situation where my items are at the warehouse and I need them for Christmas eve, Ashley could have provided me with a real solution. Over 3 weeks is really too long to wait for furniture to be delivered and in order to retain customers Ashley needs to fix this hick up in their distribution. read more

As others have said, the service is terrible here. We ordered a dining room table and chairs from here and when it was ready to be picked up (we chose not to have it delivered), someone called my husband and did not leave a voicemail. He was at work so he asked me to call back for him. I called and Vanessa picked up. I told her we missed a call from this number and she was very rude. She said, "well I don't know who called you, are you expecting furniture in because it was probably that." So unprofessional. I gave her the account name and we figured out that our stuff was in and she abruptly hung up without giving me any further information. I called back to ask if the table and chairs were in boxes so I could prepare our truck properly and she just said "uh huh" and then hung up again. My 8 year old niece has better phone manners than this woman. So, I wait until my husband is off work, we load up the baby and drive to the Ashley store. They look at us like "why are you here?"...apparently the furniture is at some distribution center, not the store we bought it. Well Vanessa, that would have been a nice piece of information to include. When we told the people up front that no one told us anything about a distribution center, one woman laughed and said, "they always forget to tell customers where to pick up their furniture! Hahah"....so you're telling me this is an ongoing problem that the woman whose only job is to call customers and tell them their furniture is in cant remember or doesn't care enough to tell them where to pick it up? And this is funny to you why? I don't think it's funny that we arranged a time when my husband could get off work early and come here to get this table and it isn't here. Yeah, that's hilarious. Get your crap together Ashley. And try hiring some people who care about their jobs. read more

We bought a large sectional at Ashley. It was delivered within a few weeks, but without clips that connect it together. They said they'd be in in a few weeks. We waited patiently, living with a sofa that would slide apart every time you sit on it. The cushions would also fall off because it was sliding all over the place. Finally after a couple weeks a technician shows up and he doesn't even fix anything. He takes down some part numbers off our couch and says he'll order the parts. Fast forward two weeks and we receive a box on our doorstep from Ashley. Yes, finally we can install the clips ourselves and have a functioning living room! We open the box and there are foot pegs inside! Since this happened we've called several times to the store with no resolution and now they are saying the sectional isn't supposed to attach together! I feel like I'm dealing with a group of unprofessional 16 year olds, and we still have a product we paid a lot for that doesn't even function as a couch. read more

I've purchased items here over the years, and they've held up ok. We usually have some issue with delivery. Sometimes, the sales staff is helpful. Sometimes, they appear uninterested. I went in recently and provided the names of several items we had seen online and wanted to view in person. I had a list of four, the gentleman assisting us tried to find the first one, couldn't and essentially told us to go look around and see if we liked something they had there. I am so disappointment in the service I have received from Ashley's Furniture. I originally purchased a dresser at the Las Vegas location off of MLK and they "transferred" the sale to this location since I live in Los Angeles. I have been trying to chase down someone to help me and get the items that I paid for delivered to me as promised, it is now a MONTH since my original purchase. The first person I spoke to told me they do not deliver to Los Angeles because it was too far.....then the manager JAIRO told me that wasn't true and that they will get it delivered to me and someone from that store will call me with an ETA within "a couple of hours" it's now been 4 days. Every time you call the phone number you're transferred to customer care call center and wait for 10 minutes just to be transferred to the store. I WILL NEVER purchase anything from Ashley's and will make it a point to ensure no one I know does either. read more

Gorgeous furniture? Sure... Quality? Very poor. When I purchased my home, I purchased my furniture here. Dining set, living and family room sets, and bedroom sets. While I didn't complain about the couches and the mattresses. I was very annoyed by the poor quality paint on my tables and end tables. Shortly after, I noticed how soft the paint was on the furniture. My 1st grader engraved his homework on the dining table while doing his homework. And my very expensive end tables? A sheet I had right under a vase I set on top engraved its pattern. Having purchased the insurance that they suckered me into buying was a piece of $&@&. Called Ashley's to send their fix it man and what do they show up with? A black spray paint to spray my table with! Could have kept my $200 I paid the insurance and purchased a $2 can of black spray at Wal-mart myself and did it myself. Great looking furniture, but very poor quality. Doesn't even deserve a one star, but my review will not process without one. read more

Purchased a sectional durablend couch from Ashley. Liked it so much we also bought a durablend recliner. Little did we know that both the couch and recliner would start to peel and the stitching would start coming apart. Now we have a couch and recliner with peeled off fake leather and holes all over the couch. Now the framing is also starting to poke out of the back of the couch, wont be long till there is a big hole there. Went to the store to talk to them and they told me they could refinish the couch and recliner but it would cost almost as much to buy a new one. If I knew there furniture was disposable I would have never purchased it. Stay far away from Ashley furniture!!! read more
