Horrible delivery service. My delivery was rescheduled 3 times due to them not having the product, all of which I took time off work to wait for the shipment. The last time they confirmed delivery, they called and sent me a text message that they would deliver from 3 to 6pm. Thinking we had plenty of time, we went to the grocery store and received a call at 11am saying they were 15 min away. Unfortunately we weren't going to make that time. We purchased a expensive Stern and Foster firm and were not happy with the firmness. It seemed smaller than advertised. We thought it may be able to work. After sitting in the chairs and sofa, the cushions were extremely hard. I could not sit in the chairs comfortably (I'm 6' 3" 220 lbs). We sat on the couch and could barley move due to the size of the couch. We went back to Ashley to see if there was something they could do for us. There reply, "We have no return policy once you sign for the item. We will only replace or repair if damaged." Given the set was too small and they have no return policy, we would have never purchased the items. I bought a 14 piece set on July 8. I opted to pick up the furniture myself on July 28th. I was sad I'd have to wait so long but figured it would be worth it. My son had his truck and trailer on his way to meet me at the warehouse. I called to let them know we were coming as advised to do. They informed me they didn't have anything in stock except the lamps. I would have to wait until August 4th for part of my order. They told me as an apology that they would deliver for free. I received part of my order August 4 and had to wait until Sept 9th for the next delivery and finally received my Rug October 18Th. I look at my credit card bill and an additional charge of 380$ was charged to my account with interest. I had no idea what the charge was and I disputed it. On this visit I was very shocked based on previous experience to receive such great service! As my wife and I walked in we were greeted and pointed in the right direction. Once we approached the customer service counter Giovanni I believe was the name of the person that helped us also was welcoming. I have to say I give Giovanni all sorts of kudos due to his kindness and professionalism. I can be difficult to deal with at times especially when I already have a bad taste in my mouth based on prior experiences with a business. I came off at first a little hot headed and difficult. Giovanni listened to my concerns completely and when I was finished he smiled and proceeded to explain things to us. Giovanni was very informed and knew what he was doing and did it in a cool and calm manner. It was refreshing to actually have someone help and make this experience pleasant. By the time we left we were smiling and completely satisfied with the service we received. Great job to Giovanni! There definitely needs to be more people like him dealing w the public, especially upset and hot headed customers that only want what they want. Now we didn't get exactly what we wanted however Giovanni explained things and it made perfect sense and at that time we were good w the resolution and purchasing another warranty! I'm originally from California I just moved to the Arizona area recently. For the past six years I have always purchased from Ashley's furniture never really had issues or problems until now. I decided to go to Ashley's furniture to purchase my daughters bedroom set along with a bookshelf. The original delivery date was June 27 I never received a text or a call to confirm delivery nor that they rescheduled the delivery to a different day. I went to the store and ordered my sales representative was Bertha and she told me that the bedroom set will be delivered June 27 and the bookshelf will be on back order. When the 27th came I called and they told me that everything was on back order till July 20 I let the manager know that the representative did not let me know that about the bedroom set and I never received a call. Now that tomorrow is July 20 again I did not receive a text or a call to confirm my delivery nor another extension. I called today and spoke to someone from the store I purchased the items she told me that she will have the manager call and this was at 12 PM later that day about 5 PM still no calI, and so I called back I was told that the manager was on lunch and that she would have him call me when he comes back. Around 7 PM I never received a call so I tried calling back and they were closed. I am very unhappy with the quality of the Baceno 4pc sectional, we've had it less than a month and pillows are poor quality and flat, cushions are lumpy. We received the armless loveseat damaged and still have not heard back from Ashley's furniture as to when the replacement will be delivered we attempted to return the sectional no one ever returned our calls or emailed us back. All bad reviews on here are 100% correct. This place is a jip joint. I paid over $800 for dining table that went on Sale 2 weeks later for $400. The list price in store is $1300 and I supposedly got 45% of that price but the online store says $800 is the list price and the $400 is half price. WTF!? Don't even try calling their customer service you'll just be put on hold and ignored (I waited 45 minutes before giving up and calling the service rep I dealt with who laughed and gave me a number that actually worked) their reason for not refunding my purchase was simply because it had already been delivered. This place is a joke any way you look at it. My other ordered has now been delayed for 2 months with little explanation other than COVID-19. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! My husband and I ordered a lot of furniture from this store for our new house. We heard about there being problems with furniture delays due to backorders, so we ordered our furniture 3 months in advance and we were GUARANTEED that the items that we ordered were in stock and they would "save our items" until were were ready for them to be delivered, even knowing that it would be 3 months. We ordered a couch, dining room set and expensive computer desk, over $3000 all together. We found a couch we liked somewhere else so went into the store to cancel the couch, leaving us with a dining room table set and computer desk. About 2 weeks before the delivery, I called to confirm my order. They told me they had my order for a love seat and and dining room table! They had taken away the chairs that go with the table and my desk! After 40 minutes on the phone with them, because some girl named Jessica could not get my order straight, I spoke to a manager who got it fixed, or so I thought. 2 days before the delivery date called and confirmed my delivery for the desk and table. Delivery day comes and guess what?? No computer desk. I called Ashley and was told that it was on back-order!! Why am I finding this out the DAY of DELIVERY? Had I known this I would have bought one elsewhere. So on the day we were moving, we had to drop everything and go buy a computer desk. My husband works from home and needed a desk! AND one of the dining room chairs they delivered is stained!! Needless to say I cancelled my order for the desk and will NEVER buy from Ashley again! I thought they were supposed to be a step above the other furniture stores, which is why I didn't mind paying more for their furniture. Although they were able to match the price we received from AFW, there customer service is terrible. We have to wait until 2 days before deliver to find out what time they will deliver the product and then you are given a four hour window. When they delivered the product the console did not have the correct attachments so they had to schedule for a technician to come out to fix it. The delivery team were nice and took pictures and sent in all the information for the technician to come fix the console. I had to wait two weeks for the technician to come out and again I had to wait for 2 days before to give me the window of time (good thing I have a flexible schedule to make last minute adjustments to my schedule to accommodate their delivery/arrival time). When the technician showed up he took the same pictures and had to call to order the parts. He was on hold 25 mins the first time before he was disconnected and then he called back and had to wait another 35+ mins before they answered his call to the distribution center. Once he ordered the parts that were going to take 10 business days to receive in the mail, I was told I could schedule an appointment for a technician to come out after I received both pieces. Well now two weeks later, the parts arrived and now to call for an appointment. I called 6 different times and was on hold greater than 25 mins each time. Finally after never being able to get through on the number you are supposed to call 866.436.3388, I finally went to the store to speak to a live person. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was directed to the back of the store. The manager asked if I had pushed the number to speak to a customer service rep, which I replied I have tried every button on the phone to try to get to a live person and have had to be on hold for multiple different times. He stated that they just acquired a new division with 17 more locations and they are short staffed. Unfortunately your staffing issues are not my problem. Maybe they should not have acquired more centers if they could not support the volume. So supposedly they were putting in a request for a technician to call me with an appointment (this was on 7/15/19) but I have yet to hear from anyone. I am still waiting for my couch to be repaired. Called and they sent out a repairman & he used chemicals to repair BUT my table had a negative reaction to chemicals and now complete table is ruined. As another Yelper made mention Ashley was a last resort for us as we are moving from Ohio to Arizona and needed to furnish a house over 4500 sq ft. We got off the plane on Monday and visited Living Spaces, Del Sol Furniture and a few others. When we got to Ashley we noticed a good variety of offerings and had the chance to meet Bobby Martinez who was our sales rep. By no means was there any pressure at all and he worked with us on the fact that we could not buy any furniture until we officially closed on our home which was 2 days away. Bobby treated us as if we were buying that day and gave suggestions, insight and showcased their new offerings. From the initial visit and till we shook hands on the deal Bobby was first class all the way. Our delivery drivers Anthony and Alex were amazing and very courteous to our entire family while delivering and setting up the furniture. Highly recommended! read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. I am so disappointed. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! We were promised that the furniture we ordered would come in 2 days. They said we were all set up for delivery. We got confirmation emails and texts saying everything was a-go. We were promised multiple times by the manager and workers that the furniture would be here in 2 days. The day came and the time passed, so we called and they said that everything was on back order or just not available. They said they could deliver the furniture in a few weeks, but it was not a guarantee... What??? We asked for a discount, and they refused to offer us one. I am very disappointed with the service that we received at Ashley. They use blatant bait and switch techniques. They advertised a special and then only have the piece available by order or in Casa Grande. Instead they try to push you toward another more expansive product in the store. Everything that they sell is made after you pay and they started by telling us that their warrantee covered anything that could happen to the couch. Until we brought up the BBB reports and complaints about their warrantee then they came clean about the real deal. We chose two bedroom sets, an office desk and two lamps. I confirmed with her and one of the managers Omar that ALL items were in stock and delivery set for Friday March 13, 2020. (I was traveling after that so couldn't take half orders). We confirmed a second time at purchase that all was in stock. I made the purchase. The next day March 12, 2020 I received a call from Ashley Homestore saying half my order is not available. So I said, cancel the order. We went round and round so I asked to speak to a manager and they said none are available, so I said I would wait, and they put me on hold and every 10 minutes they would just pick up the phone and put me right back on hold. They did this for an hour. Fine, I know how the retail game works so I put them on hold, called Ashley Customer Service while they were doing that and explained to them I didn't like being treated that way. (They hung up while I was on the other line) I finally spoke to the store manager and explained to him that we confirmed twice the order was complete and deliver on the 13th and how the poor customer service I was receiving. He apologized, said he will pull from another order and ensure everything would be delivered and gave me a 200.00 gift card for my trouble. The next day, Delivery day, they delivered everything except the two lamps. At 199.00 a piece that was concerning. The driver said he didn't have anything on his truck for this. I called the store and I have the lamps on my order but they said they don't see it. They have to wait for the sales rep to come in Saturday to ask them about it. I have been to this Avondale store three times and made purchases each time. Every visit I was helped by Jermain Moore. He has always been great to shop with. He is very knowledgeable of the merchandise on the showroom floor and makes furniture shopping enjoyable. On another occasion I had Danny Thompson come to my home and repair a table that was delivered with a defected corner. He repaired the table without any notice of a previous defect. We came in and worked with Karen and boy did we waste our time. Karen did not look professional at all. We went in for a mattress, a bedframe, two nightstands, 8 chairs, 4 barstools, a headboard and a living room set. When it came down to paying, the manager wanted us to pay the taxes up front even though we would be using our Ashley's credit cards! We've purchased thousands of dollars worth of furniture from Ashley's in California and never had we paid taxes up front. The manager seemed annoyed but made it seem like he was doing US the favor by waving the taxes! We had already purchased most of the furniture when my mother and father-in-law found two IDENTICAL lazy-boy style chairs and wanted them.one was marked at $250 and the other at $299. When they asked to get a deal for both of them at $250, the manager made a remark towards my mother in law about begging for discounts. Although it was only $50, we had already purchased $4k worth of furniture, it would have been appreciated to get that last deal. The manager argued that they were under different promotions, although they were completely identical chairs, down to the item number! At this point my father in law was already annoyed by the managers attitude toward us, so my father in law decided to cancel all purchases because of the lack of respect that they had to us. We were the only people in the store! How could you not give the customer the respect they need?! Then! The associate Karen even had the NERVE to tell my mother in law that my father in law ruined the sale with his arrogant demeanor. EXCUSE ME?!?! Where is the customer service? We had given her our information for the items we wanted to buy, a bit less than what we initially wanted, but it was a bed frame, 4 chairs, 2 sofas a mattress and box spring, a bedframe, and two night stands. She takes the bill of sale to her manager to, again, price match everything. She comes back with bad news, reporting to us that the manager refuses to help us, refuses to sell anything to us, and refuses to match any deals that we had been previously matched. He even said that it wasnt okay to match the prices online, which makes no sense because everything online is half the price as in-store, that's how their tactics work. So I asked for their corporate number . to which Daniel provided the incorrect number! How insane?!?!? So I called corporate and complained and they rerouted my call back to the Avondale store and GERARDO answers with major ATTITUDE! How can you be an effective sales man with a shitty attitude? We went into the place and no one would even look at us or offer help, at first. Once we got the fast talking sales person, we ended up spending $6,000.00 on a horrible bed. What a horrible experience with Ashley furniture. Not only did they not honor Labor Day sales to me they charged me delivery of $49.95. Which was OK with me but when I received my delivery they brought my furniture in a box to assemble myself. I ordered a coffee table and end table. They would not come in at all to even bring the box in. They brought it to my door only. I had to try and assemble the product by myself. I ended up having the next-door neighbor come over and help which I had to pay him for to help assemble. Nobody told me that I had to assemble the furniture myself. That is why I paid for delivery. When my neighbor and I was putting the furniture together we noticed there was a defect in the material. The wood was cracked. I have been trying to contact Ashley furniture for four days now. Good grief. How difficult can it be to sell a pair of lamps, a demo rug, and a bad fake plant? There must have been six sales idiots walking around, though most were watching the wide screen television at the front of the store. There was much attention paid to writing the item numbers down on a sales slip. Then a request that we carry our purchases back to the office to have the manager "approve the sale." When I refused, the manager came up and explained that each purchase must be approved because the company "audits twice a year and IF THE NUMBERS ARE WRONG ..." and then she gave us a strange look as though we might have a couple of her marbles in our pockets. Oh, who gives a flying shit? All kinds of businesses undergo audits. Take the money, cut another notch on your tyrannosaurus rex inventory bone, and let's get on with it. But no, after the mandatory "approval" process there was a trek across the store to get to a credit card machine. Using a sales receipt book with carbon paper might have been quicker. Or bartering buffalo pelts. If you find yourself tempted, let a responsible adult know where you are before you go. Or ask them to come with you. Was supposed to get my bed I paid over a grand for delivered. Never happened. Finally went to the warehouse in Phoenix to pick it up. Half the hardware is missing and NO ONE can seem to resolve this with the exception of me paying 70 bucks for a tech to come out. Absolute horse sh$t. Customer service number doesn't work. A grand for a bed and I can't get it fully put together because all the hardware is not there. WHAT A JOKE!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS DISASTER FURNITURE STORE. read more
