If you actually want your furniture, probably best you avoid going here. They will take your money, promise you a delivery, and fail to deliver. I spent an hour at this location with one of there service reps picking out all of my furniture for a special event I was hosting at my home. I was told part of the furniture would come Sunday, and the rest would arrive the following Thursday. The following Thursday is here, and nothing has arrived at my home. I just called the store, and was told that I had a delivery service date of MARCH 24TH! That is over a month from when I was promised!!! I explained that this was unacceptable for a number of reasons, but most importantly I had already paid and had an event to host! I asked them to check the date that was given to me, and they confirmed it should have been delivered by today, but now today is already booked. This is the most ridiculous, unacceptable, and outright wrong customer service I have ever experienced in my LIFE! And now I am forced to tell 50 people that my event has been cancelled. This is my second time visiting this Ashley Furniture location. Both times I was able to work with Guillermo and he was great! He let me take my time and I didn't feel like I was getting "sold" on something just to get me out the store. I was able to purchase furniture for my den, living room, kitchen and bedroom for a very reasonable price. The delivery fee was about $80 or so but definitely worth it as they assemble everything as well. I would call ahead just to make sure Guillermo is available. read more

Any store that sells expensive furniture and doesn't have a return/exchange policy DOES NOT stand behind their work. There are plenty of other stores that offer a GUARANTEE that you will be satisfied or you can return/exchange the items. Do yourself a favor and shop around. Also, don't count on customer service EVER answering your call. We had a chair delievered about 2 weeks ago and it didn't work UPON delivery. They put in a work order and shipped the parts to our house. Told us to call when the parts came in. I have been trying to call now for about 5 days but no one ever answers. They have some great selections, but what drove me away from this place is the "car-dealership" style salesmen approach they had. The way of placing someone right at the front entrance to start questioning what you want was a little overwhelming. Sometimes I just want to walk around and see for myself and not have someone stalk me throughout the store, ready to ask if I found anything I'm interested in. Perhaps they should consider not having their salesperson approach you right when you step on their welcome mat, or perhaps start a conversation before asking "hello, welcome, I know you just opened the door, but what are you looking for?" Worst buying experience I have ever had. Bought our living room furniture and was told that two of the 3 pieces would be delivered on sept 11 , when delivery showed up we were told sorry loveseat was on back order. I understand things happen and had we gotten a phone call it would have been no big deal but no phone call no new date nothing. Called Avondale store multiple times left messages spoke to associates who said I would get a call back from a manager and still nothing 10 days later still not one call back. Finally got ahold of corporate who were very helpful and even started a case number but yet still haven't heard from Ashley's Avondale. Went into the store today and was told by manager basically it is what it is and not our problem anymore. Will never shop here again , once they have your money they wash their hands clean of you. Well, since my last review I have spoken with the store manager (Augie) who was very apologetic. He agreed it was an easy fix and should never have gotten this far. He agreed to have a new low profile box springs delivered ASAP. He said he would call back by 7 pm that day to let me know when it could e delivered and wanted me to have a $100 Gift Card for my trouble. He called back same day about 3:30 and told me his men could deliver/exchange the box springs the very next day between 8:30 and 11:30 am. The next day the exchange transpired and I called to thank him for taking care of the situation and to let him know that the deliver personnel did not leave any paperwork, (the gift card). he was off and then it was the Labor Day week end. Finally a week later I called again and spoke with him and he said oh your gift cert is here in the store waiting for you to pick it up. I thanked him and have updated this review. read more

If you are thinking about purchasing from Ashley I would rethink that. We went in to look at bedroom sets. We actually found a set and got a decent price for the items so we purchased it. Delivery for the items was a week out, ok not a problem we can wait a week. Bedroom set comes, look it over everything looks good no damage, send the delivery men on there way. I go to put my clothes in what I thought was the nicest dresser I have owned to find out that the drawer slider was not even assembled correctly the drawer just falls out. Look at the other drawers and noticed that they to are not locking into place. (We got 2 dressers so we know that this one is assemble incorrectly). Call the 800 number to get help only to find out that you have to have a technician come out and look over the issue and if they say it is repairable then you have to wait for a window time frame for them to come back and fix it if not you get a replacement. Technician come out 2 days later says your dresser looks to be damaged I will get a new one out to you ASAP. Customer services calls to set up delivery time. We initially told them that we need an evening appointment as both my husband and I work. They say they can not confirm a late delivery time only make a note of it for the delivery driver. 1st confirm call was 8-12 delivery time. we had to reschedule, we can not do that time. At this time we are still waiting 3 weeks later for the dresser to be delivered in a time frame that we can make without missing work. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY UNLESS YOU HAVE TIME TO WAIT FOR YOUR ITEMS. Don't expect them to assist you in resolving in anyway. I wish I could give the furniture back and go elsewhere that cares about their customers. read more

Terrible Terrible customer service all around. Purchased a mattress from them a few years back. The mattress ended up sagging once it was moved were told it had a lifetime warranty so they sent a rep out to take pictures and do his thing. We received a call from customer service stating we had a store credit not an exchange which we didn't want seeing how they no longer sold that mattress which was an Ashley brand. So we were then told since we no longer had the mattress, which know one ever said to keep! that we were basically screwed out of a store credit! So we were left with no store credit no compensation nothing! This is total BS ! Was never crazy about their furniture anyway so we will never step foot in again, think twice there are so many other places to go now a days. Great job Ashley! read more

I visited this store for the first time a day ago with a friend who had a gift card. She picked out a few things and was then told that if she wanted to use a gift card she would be charged 50% more than the marked price for the items. What a sleazy sales practice! I had a very bad experience with Ashley's furniture they mest up my order couple of times and to add another thing they charged me delivery twice when it was there damm mistake. They enjoy calling there delivery people to re schedule the delivery when it was set for a specific date. This is very upsetting!!! They blamed me for there mistake.. If I could give Ashley's no stars I would. I ordered $1400 in living room sofas. The day before delivery I phoned Ashley's to confirm everything. On the day of delivery, the only day in the month they delivered to my area the furniture did not show up. I waited 6 weeks for delivery. I waited from 9am until 3 pm on the day of this scheduled delivery and when they were a no show I phoned their dispatch. I was informed that the driver attempted to call me and was unable to make contact so they wouldn't deliver. No one had called me. I was then told that someone had transposed numbers in my phone number and this was the confusion. If I wanted my sofas I would have to wait another month when they come out my way again. Our salesperson Fernando greeted us upon entry and asked what we were looking for and I told him exactly what I wanted. he told us to go back over in that corner or back over in the other corner and was not helpful at all. Then he proceeded to go over to a co-worker and chit chat while we had to wander the entire store trying to find the item that we told him we wanted. It turned out that the item was not even on the floor. He then wanted to know if I had the name of the item memorized and I said no and he seems very reluctant to look it up on his computer. He then did and informed me that it could be ordered. I said I really wanted to see it in person before spending that kind of money. I asked if it was available at another location because if I just wanted to order it I could have done that on the website. He then gave me a very dirty look and informed me that it would take 6 to 8 weeks if I ordered it on the website and if it arrived damaged it would be extremely difficult for me to return it. I could not believe he was talking badly about his own company and their website. He was not helpful at all and seem to be quite bothered to have to assist me at all. I had intended to drop several hundred dollars on furniture today but now I will not be purchasing anything from Ashley. read more

We purchased a sofa and loveseat and were pleased with the experience with our sales associate at the Avondale store. The problem began when we scheduled delivery. They could not tell us until two days prior to the delivery date (Jan 9th) what the 4 hour delivery timeframe would be. We had to schedule appointments in the a.m. on the day of delivery we did not know about until after scheduling the delivery. If we canceled those appointments it would be 3 months before we could reschedule. We were concerned we would not be home in time for the delivery so we asked if the delivery date could be pushed back one day. We were informed they had no openings on the 10th. I then contracted with a private delivery company who could pick the furniture up and deliver it on the 9th and they gave us a time that was convenient. Next I called the Avondale store and canceled their delivery. Today, January 7th, I received an automated message that our furniture would be delivered on January 10th. I transferred to customer service and explained we did not have a delivery scheduled on the 10th but that we did on the 9th and had canceled it last week. The customer service rep then put me on hold to speak with someone at the Avondale store. Over 15 minutes later she came on the line and said the representative at Avondale wanted to speak with me and said she would transfer the call. After a couple of minutes waiting for someone to pick up the call, it was disconnected. I spent almost 30 minutes on the phone, more than half the time waiting on hold, trying to resolve a call I never should have received. We will NEVER deal with Ashley again. read more

So long story short, my wife and I visited this location to see items that we saw online in person, and had zero intentions on buying that day. The sales people are aggressive, and follow you around the whole store. When asked if we needed help, we said we were just looking and were planning on buying online because it's more affordable. The salesperson said she would match the online price if we bought it from them. We buckled under the pressure and made the decision to buy. Well, once the furniture was delivered, we notice that the finish looked way more creamy/yellow than it looked in the showroom. We immediately called the store, and they said there was a zero return policy, no exceptions. Even after we said we would take a credit and buy the replacement furniture from them, they said no and completely turned their backs on us. By the way, online purchases have a 30 day return policy! Do yourself a favor, either buy online or go elsewhere. The customer service doesn't exist.....even at their corporate office! read more

Our sales experience at Ashley's was great. We bought a sectional and a queen mattress and got it scheduled for a Saturday delivery($10 extra). Everything seemed great until today when I received a phone call for our delivery stating that it would be at 7:00-11 am. Mind you that we are moving into our house Saturday and aren't getting the keys until 10 am. I got the call as a voicemail and tried to call the number back four times and all four times I was disconnected after being on hold for 15 minutes each call. I had my boyfriend call the store to which they said they charged a $59 redelivery charge for a time slot that we never set up and the week earlier we were told we would get a call to schedule a time. ( I wouldn't have minded if it was a four hour period a little bit later in the day). They make no exceptions to the fee and refused to waive the fee given our situation. So we were given a time that was impossible for us to work with so we either wait outside for four hours waiting for the truck to have our furniture delivered, or pay a $59 rescheduling fee for a time we never scheduled! Lies and Deceit. I purchased $4,000.00 worth of furniture from the location at 1479 N. Dysart Rd. in Avondale AZ and it has been an absolutely horrible experience. I should have known when the salesperson followed us around the store that I should have walked out the door, but I didn't. Not only did they not call before they delivered my furniture, but it has been an absolute nightmare getting the remainder of my furniture. Karen, the salesperson, will promise you all sorts of "discounts" and then add the charges on in the end, talk very fast, and get you out the door. Slimy sales tactics will get you horrible reviews. If you can avoid buying from them do so, but if you must buy from them avoid Karen like the plague. Read EVERYTHING. If she promises you something, make her put it in writing. I've been getting non-stop calls and texts from Ashley trying to confirm delivery times, I've been getting calls from delivery drivers trying to confirm deliveries, I've been getting calls from Ashley customers asking if I'm something called Acceptance Now, and now I'm getting text messages WITH OTHER PEOPLES PERSONAL INFO to confirm deliveries. Funny thing, I've never once made a purchase with this company nor would I recommend you to considering how incredibly unhelpful they have been in resolving this situation for me. Why my phone number is listed under 50 different accounts is beyond me. I've talked to numerous people on the phone and in store and every time they say they will fix the issue and I continue getting calls. I'm a very reasonable person, in fact I've let this go on for a year trying to give them the benefit of the doubt that they will finally get my number removed to no avail... I guess it's time to sue? I stopped at Ashley's as a last resort. I needed a new mattress really bad and had just purchased 2 different ones from American Furniture Warehouse and they were killing me. When I walked in, Gabe Serrano met me at the door. I told him my story and took me back to the mattress section. I stipulated I wanted a extra firm (hard) mattress. After laying on some back there, I asked if there was anything firmer. He walked me through the store, bedroom setup to setup. I finally found one I thought would work. Laid on it for about 15 minutes. He professionalism and patience with me paid off. I love this mattress and have been sleeping so much better and my back pain has lessened. I've bought a household of furniture over the past 6 years or so. I regret going back in there. I was delivered a sofa/love seat. Snags and loose threads everywhere- incredibly inferior product. The tech who came to see it said it was something he's never seen before. I didn't sign nor initial the paperwork and DID call them within the 3 days required. I have had multiple phone calls with them, talked to rudely and they just beat around the bush. I refused an even exchange. Why would I want the same inferior set. They offered credit - however, after being treated the way I was, I want nothing from them but a refund (it's not their "prodigal".) HORRIBLE customer service, at best. If you buy there, be absolutely certain you're thrilled, because if not, they don't care. It clearly states in paperwork, I am entitled to a refund if contacted them within 3 days, which I did. All they can keep saying is we, "unfortunately" can't do that. read more

My son received a night stand with 2 lamps, and comforter. We had to wait a week for the media center but it was ok everything came assembled or was assembled prior. Bought a nice dining set and sofa with chaise at Ashley Furniture on Dysart. Both items were on "Manager's Special" so we got a good deal. Yes, the salespeople were a bit too clingy, but overall the process was fine. I do think the $99 delivery fee is a bit high, but their delivery crew was excellent: prompt, efficient and professional. Didn't have any issues with the sales staff at time of purchase. My experience when picking up my items at the warehouse was absolutely horrible. I was the first customer in line on a Saturday morning and it took them 1 hour to pull 2 boxes. They help 4 other customers before they finished loading up 2 boxes! Not once did I get a sorry for the delay or we appreciated your business. All I got was were busy helping other customer, funny thing is I was the first one. I went in for a dining table.Had made a purchase and had it delivered after 2 days the table is rocking almost to to extreme that 2 legs are ready to fall off. Contacted both the Salesmen and store no help in this matter only call for someone to come to my house and wait another 3 hours for this appointment besides the delivery window was another 4 hour window to pay $70.00 for them to be in my house for 20 minutes.Don't buy from this company unless you have a lot of extra time . You should not have to buy a warranty with every purchase but if you go to this company the quality is poor so you could loss a lot of money if you don't buy one.They do not stand behind there product once you sign for the product its as is ,if you pay for the warranty they will come out and see what the problem is. Worst place to buy furniture! Stay away from Ashley online purchases. Poor customer service and they will give you the run around. No one knows what they are doing there. I cancelled a purchase that was made the next day and was told to call UPS myself and re-route chairs to go back to the store..So I did that and two boxes of chairs still show up at my house the following Monday. I called multiple times and was told a return label would be sent to my email.... nothing came. I called again the next day for a return label and was told UPS will be sent to my house to pick up the chairs.... still waiting. Meantime they charged my PayPal 623.01 for six chairs.. that were cancelled. I was told I wouldn't get back any of the money if they don't get the chairs back. Well please send the return labels. I have turned this company into PayPal and will file with the BBB. Again, stay away from Ashley Furniture!!!! I would give minus stars for this company. read more
