I purchased a set of end tables nearly a month ago now and was told that I'd be hearing something in the next couple weeks to set up delivery. That should've been roughly two weeks ago. I was also told that delivery would be complete around December 1st, here we are at the end of November.....not a word. I tried multiple times to call the store, no one even bothered to answer the phone. So I stop at the store, explained my situation to the first person I saw and was immediately directed to the back of the store. What a joke, the same person I'm supposed to speak to in person is the same one that didn't answer the phone. I'm feeling as though customers are no longer important if they've already paid. Was really hoping for a good experience but my review just went from a 5 to a 1.... would be 0 if that was possible. Cancelled half my order after finding out it had a 2.2 rating on their website, but reluctantly ordered a mango wood dining table because I loved the look of it. Now I own a $1k mango wood table that has a blemish on the top. This company is dirty from top to bottom. It starts with their back door policies and ends with their poor quality furniture. I'm just relieved I was able to cancel the $6k worth of leather couches I initially ordered. When I tried to post a review on their website about their table I got this email back!!! WOW!!! Imagine how many negative reviews they keep off their website!?! However I do standby my original post that the employees at the Avon store were very nice and the managers that worked with me on the cancellation were A+. Our idea of fun is definitely not furniture shopping. The aggressiveness of sales people has put us off in the past so we weren't looking forward to this task. We stopped inside Ashley Furniture in Avon, IN and were immediately greeted by Jimmy. He was very low pressure and really made us feel like he was there to help versus just getting the sale. For my daughter's birthday I ordered a Mattress and Kids bed in the month of Jul with the hope it will be delivered near her birthday on Aug end , But they couldn't deliver it as promised as the schedule for delivery keep on pushing by a week and so on and was getting updates till 2 weeks before thru text messages. Now they stopped sending updates neither they have a customer care representative who can pick phone and answer any questions we have . So I was forced to step into the store to enquire about my order status and I was told except dresser rest all will be delivered by today (18 Sep) and they told will check and confirm by giving back a call to me and till this point I haven't got any call back or message update on when it's being scheduled for delivery! I have called their 3rd party customer service line 3 times to inquire on the status and I was given two different answers. The 3rd time I was hung up on and called a Karen. Finally got the replacements for the two damaged couches I originally received on 4/16/22, 10 weeks after reporting the problem. The replacements are also damaged in the same spot as were the original. This company is the leader in their field when it comes to arrogance and incompetence. After wasting my time by not showing up for previous deliveries and now delivering damaged product again I want my money back and am still being told that won't happen because of company policy. I guess it is time to file a complaint in small claims court and see how your company policy holds up there. I went through the acceptance now. I purchased loveseat and sofa. It was delivered and on time but had to wait on living room table set of 3 and a sofa table. After being told it wouldn't be ready til three weeks later, I had to call. We picked it up on the 28th, took it home and the cocktail table was damaged. Still didn't get the sofa table and was told that would take another 2 weeks. I'm hoping we can take back the tables to get new ones but only if I can get them asap by picking them up. It was a quick trip through but I didn't see lucite or mid- century. Amazing amount of acessories with a few at 50% - 75% off. Custom order or purchase floor models. My sister-in-law was upset when we arrived to pick up her new furniture. It had been promised to be removed from the floor 3 days prior, wrapped and placed in pickup area. None of this had been done; not even a sold sign on her paid furniture. Overall, worth browsing if you're in the market for new furniture or home decor. read more

My experience went from a 5 star to a 1 so very fast!!! My parents and I came in May 5th and ordered (or so we thought) A couch, love seat, ottoman, coffee table, 2 end tables, bed frame, dresser and 2 more end tables. We stated the day we ordered these items that I needed them delivered by July 1st because my husband and I are moving to San Diego due to a military move and the movers come July 1st to get our things so we can't change the pick up date with the movers. We were working with a great guy, Tyler, and he assured us over and over that all the items will be delivered by mid June... Well, I went in this afternoon (June 7th) to get a mattress, and of course that mattress wouldn't be able to be delivered until July 2nd, which would be too late, so we got talked into getting a more expensive mattress which I'm now seeing has worse reviews than the one we really wanted... But this is besides the point... I then asked the sales lady, what the status was on the rest of the furniture that was supposed to be delivered in a couple of weeks... she looked at the order and tells me "The Order was never put through for delivery and because of this, my love seat would not be arriving until July 19th!!! I asked if there was a way they could ship it to San Diego, but for some reason they can't which makes no sense because there are Ashley home store's out there. We need all of our items delivered by July 1st!! We spent thousands at this store on furniture and they are awful to deal with. It's been over a month and we haven't received all of our stuff yet. It was supposed to be available in less than a week but when we went to pick it up, half of it was missing. We agreed upon having it delivered but now they're going back on their word and will not deliver the furniture. Not only that, but one of the nightstands was damaged/had a defect when we brought it home. We attempted calling support and were hung up on. I worked in retail so I know what it is like to deal with pissed off customers and we've been nothing but civil, this however is not how you retain your customers, especially when they spend a few months salary at your store. read more

My husband and I bought a couch, sofa and ottoman set from Ashley's 3 years ago. We were assured from the saleswoman the leather would withstand anything especially our little 8 lb dog. Since then we have had the frame fixed on the couch twice. The first time was just 6 months after purchase. We don't have any kids and our dog is not rough on it. There should be no reason for it needing repair this much. One cushion has the leather peeling and looks terrible. We will stay away from all things made from Ashley's furniture from now on. This is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. The store is set up wonderfully and they have great sales people but that's as far as "good" that this store will ever get. Following up with all the other reviews written below me is that their customer service is horrible. No one communicates between their store, customer service line, and delivery service line. No one will take blame for all the problems that occurred with my purchase and delivery of my furniture. I don't even want to imagine what it will be like if I have a warranty issue in the future. I ordered a living room set and a new bed back in October and dealt with delivery issues for 3 weeks straight. (Please keep in mind that for every time they "attempt" to deliver furniture an individual has to block out 3/4 hours out of their busy day waiting for the possible delivery of their furniture. I spent a total of 28 hours waiting and having no one show up or no phone calls apologizing for why they did not show up with my furniture like they promised.) Between the 1st and 6th non successful attempts of delivery I tried multiple times to contact all three lines and only got excuses from the store as to why the issues were occurring (move of warehouse/update of computer and phone line services/loss of furniture somewhere in the warehouse). **However, when I talked to the delivery people when they finally showed up on the 7th attempt I was told a completely different story- basically Ashley screws everything up and they have no clue what anyone is doing. ** When I did get in contact with the customer service and delivery lines they would NEVER resolve my issues or return my calls when they said they would. The biggest issue with dealing with the Avon store is that NO ONE will answer the phone at the store. I spent hours and multiple days trying to call the store and get my delivery and refund issues resolved. The best result I would get is when I showed up at the store and talked to Kenny the store sales manager. However, this took 3 attempts of visiting the store to get just my delivery issues resolved. It's been almost two months since I have been told originally that I would receive a delivery refund. The store "claims" they are looking into it... Do yourself a favor and find a different store to purchase your furniture and home accessories. Possibly a place that makes and sales their furniture locally and keeps to their promises. Don't be fooled by the pretty sales floor and the trickery of the sales representatives at Ashley. They CAN NOT deliver on their promises OR care about the happiness of their guests. read more

We purchased couches on Black Friday in 2020 and understood that our couches would take some time to be delivered due to the pandemic, but it is May 15th, 2021 and still have not received our couches, but we were billed in February 2021 due to an "error." After calling Ashley's Furniture support three times a week since January 2021 and being told different things each time and being lied to several time, I finally spoke to a "sales manager," by the name of Cody from the Avon location. He personally guaranteed me that my couches would be delivered on May 12th and that he would personally call me when a timeframe was available or if there was an issue. He never called. I called him on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday leaving voicemails each time with my phone number and no one has called be back. The two delivery attempts they made were on days I specifically requested to reschedule because I was in important virtual meetings, but they still came and embarrassed me (as my smart home repeated several times that someone was at the door) during important presentations I was conducting with executives. I called Ashley's furniture and spoke to a "supervisor" by the name of Juanita that told me, "I need to call the store and I will call you right back." Two days later and she never called back. I called and spoke to Eder who said a "supervisor" by the name of Omar would call me. He never called. I called in and spoke with Nora who said that a manager would call in the next couple hours and we have not been contacted. I have been told so many things at this time that I have lost all faith and hope in ever receiving my couches. "I rescheduled your delivery" "The last person didn't leave any notes, but I rescheduled your order." "No one rescheduled your order." "The last person didn't know what they were doing." I just had a sectional delivered yesterday. They showed up with a partial delivery with my love seat missing. No one contacted me of this instead showed up with incomplete sectional. After delivery guys left I was contacted by Ashley, saying the loveseat came in damaged. And said the new one would be in sometime next week. After multiple phone calls to store and getting redirected to call center, and have them tell me to call the store. I had to go to store and talk to manager. They said that I could get more compensation for my troubles. This morning they just offered me a whole 30.00 off a very pricey sectional I just bought. I do not recommend going here. My daughter was scheduled to have 2 sofas delivered on December 27. Took the day off (without pay) and one of the sofas was out of stock so they didn't deliver either. She has rescheduled 7 - that's right, 7 times! When they delivered one of the sofas, 2 young guys made the delivery and before they even left the parking lot they were sending her friend requests on social media and one of them messaged her. Please AVOID!! My husband and I visited Ashley Furniture a week ago and placed an order for living room tables. Our order was not a custom order and was for items that were already in stock. Ashley was going to hold our items in their distribution center until our new home was done being built. A week later we found these same items at a cheaper price, and with better customer service, at Godby down the street. We went into Ashley to cancel our order and found out that the Avon location will still make you pay 10% on a canceled order for items that were not custom and were already in stock. Apparently each Ashley store makes their own rules regarding returns. Manager was not helpful and it makes no sense why we can't cancel an order for non-custom items that hadn't been ordered for us (already in stock). This seems absurd and we canceled our order, paid the 10%, and will never do business with this company. Do yourself a favor and get better customer service down the road at Godby and ask for Mark. Update: My husband emailed corporate and they took care of the issue, as they said the store should have refunded us the full amount. read more

We purchased our furniture in late May. We bought a full bedroom set, couch, chair, and a loveseat. Since then all but the chest in the bedroom set, loveseat and couch have been delivered. There has been 3 attempts to bring out the chest in which all three times it was damaged. Later in the day after the original delivery and setup for our bedroom set we noticed the footboard and bedrails were cracked so we're still waiting for the results for that. While we loved the bed we purchased, their customer service is, by far, the worst I have had in my entire life. We signed the papers for our financing, agreeing on a price. When we got the first bill, we were overcharged by nearly $300/month. We contacted the store and were told they would do what they could to fix it - they had our paperwork and would correct it. All sounded good. After a week of no progress, we were told they could do nothing. We could not select a new mattress that was cheaper, we could not return it, and they would do nothing to lower the payment to what we had SIGNED PAPERS to pay. My suggestion, never shop here. Deceitful. We ordered a household full of furniture. We were promised someone would contact us within a day or two of our purchase to confirm our delivery date. We waited a week and decided to call since nobody followed up with us. We were told to expect our furniture on X date. A week before the delivery date I called in, again, to check in on my furniture and ensure delivery was still a go. I was told it was all set and I asked them to double check which they did, begrudgingly, and behold there were some issues. The bed rails hadn't came in so the delivery of the bed was on hold but everything else was good to go. I get a call stating that delivery was going to be on such and such a time. I call in to double check everything and we were told at that time that there was another error and the couch would be delivered at a later date. I called the manager at the Avon branch, Chad, and told him the issue. He gave us a $250 credit not to cancel the order and we agreed on a firm delivery date in the evening the next week for the couch. Even AFTER we agreed to the time in the email they sent they went ahead and changed the time slot without our permission, from 4:30p-7:30pm to 2-5pm, when we're at work. So now we get to wait even longer for the items we delivered. At this point we're looking at two months just for the items they said would be available a month and a half from when we ordered it. Our bed is now three months out! I called to discuss returns and since we took delivery of some of the furniture that they won't accept returns and if we want to cancel the order on the remaining items it would be a 10% restocking fee. Which is apparently hidden in the fine print. Because they certainly didn't mention that at the time of sale. Bottom line is if you value quality furniture, good customer service, and honest employees stay far away from Ashley. Once they get your money you don't exist. PS Hey social media guy. Customer service is awful! No one ever answers the phone when you call. Hold times are always 30 + minutes when you call corporate, then when you finally get someone on the phone, they are unable to help or do anything else. We bought our dinning room table and chairs beginning of July and are still having issues. We have had delivery days scheduled multiple days without our permission and had to call multiple times to reschedule because they can never cancel a delivery and reschedule on the same phone call. Our dinning room table and chairs were delivered damaged originally to the point they all had to be replaced, the second time delivered chairs were still damaged, now we are still waiting on 2 chairs to be delivered and every time delivery is arranged we have to miss work or reschedule because they schedule without our permission. We are building a new home and needed some furniture. We have purchased from Ashley in other states and always had a good experience. We researched several furniture stores in the Indy, Greenwood, Plainfield and Avon areas and found that Ashley HomeStore in Avon was the place for us! From the time we walked in on Sunday, 9/2 to the end of our purchase experience, we were VERY HAPPY. Our salesman, Reggie, was awesome. He was not too intrusive and let us wander around looking at everything. He had great advice as we purchased a living room set, dining room set and end table. As always, Ashley came through for us. Reggie was able to accommodate our request for an early November delivery given the date our house will be finished. We strongly recommend Avon Ashley HomeStore and Reggie!!!! The delivery time was arbitrarily set between 7 pm and 10 pm and they never arrived. I was recently shopping for new home furniture with my girlfriend and we were helped by Kaylee, who was more than knowledgeable on my situation and the furniture that we were looking at (would give her a 5 star review). We went ahead and picked out a whole living room set (sectional couch, ottoman) and were in the process of finding out how much money we would be given based on our credit. A minuscule problem appeared which led to a floor manager being called. Not only did her manager belittle her and her ability to explain things to her customers, but throughout our time there he was rushing her to finish the sale and move on to the next. Being rushed on a big purchase like that it not the best was to handle that situation and we would have been more than happy to spent the $3800 with them if management handled the situation more professional. read more

Our experience at the store itself was really great. Salesman was attentive without being aggressive. I feel like we got a great deal on the leather, reclining couch and loveseat. A few days before we were to have it delivered, I got a call from the warehouse telling me that the "new" couch had a malfunctioning recliner piece and they could either replace the malfunctioning piece there, which would delay delivery, or they could deliver it with the malfunctioning piece and then send someone out to repair. Being a typical pushover, I agreed for them to go ahead and deliver. The repairman came out a few weeks later, didn't really know what was wrong with it, tinkered around and left. One day while cleaning, I noticed a rip in the leather under one of the arm cushions of the loveseat. Fortunately, when we made the purchase we bought the extended warranty. We're still waiting on that to be repaired. We also had someone coming back out to repair the malfunctioning recliner and was told they would be out in a 12p-3p window. When 3pm rolled around, I called and they said the technician they were sending is always running behind and they couldn't reach him either. I regret not telling the first guy that called saying they were going to ship me a damaged couch to go ahead and refund our purchase. Lesson learned. I will say this, every time I've called, the reps on the phone and at the store have been extremely pleasant. Just wish our interactions had better results. read more

If I could give zero stars I would!! A dining room table, four chairs and a bench was delivered on March 3, 2018. Two of the chairs were upholstered incorrectly and I immediately informed the delivery people who then called the Ashley customer service person. The CSR said that they would ship out two replacement chair pads and that a service tech would swap out the old for the new. I was told it would take three to four weeks. Today is April 25. I have called Ashley customer service three times and each time was told that the I would be receiving the replacement chair pads within a week. I am tired of waiting!! do not order from ashley furniture!!! i ordered a king sized bed + mattress in march 2021. when they came to deliver the bed may 19. 2021, they forgot every screw needed to put the bed together!! it is october 7, 2021 and i have still not received any hardware to put my bed together!! i've called numerous times and have been told the same thing, someone will return your phone call in 24-48 hours. i've had this hardware ordered 4-5 times now for them to keep telling me that i need to wait 7-10 business days to receive the hardware. when i call back to the company after those 7-10 business days, no one has even placed a parts order for my bed!! i've spent $2,559.34 with this bullshit company basically to store defaulted furniture in my home. i've requested my money back numerous times and the response i'm given is we don't do that because the furniture has already been delivered in full, but we can offer a replacement. i have documented every email, every phone call with times and names of who i spoke with as well as what was told to me. i've gone to the store at the avon, in location and the manager joe only works one day a week -- sundays for 6 hours. i am a nurse, i work 12 hour shifts and sunday is one of my contracted days 7a-7p. this company is a fucking joke!! do not buy anything from them. you will receive faulty product and they will do nothing to refund your money or fix their fuck ups. ashley furniture and dsg needs to be shut down immediately! read more

I bought a sofa, chair and table set April 19th. I was guaranteed a delivery date of May 12th. On May 10th, I called the store because they had not set up a delivery time with me. I was then told my furniture would not be delivered until May 26th. That was then pushed back to June 6th, then to June 26th, then to July 3rd, and finally to July 9th. I have called Ashley Furniture over 50 times in the past two months and have only received a handful of calls back. I still have not received my furniture. Sharon, the regional Operations Manager, is a nightmare to deal with. Store managers and phone operators both admitted to me unsolicited that she is terrible with replying to emails and phone calls. It took three voicemails, an email, and demanding that an operator face-to-face request a call back for her to contact me. She was rude and stingy. After demanding some kind of compensation for my troubles, I was offered a $100 gift card, although I would never, ever return to Ashley Furniture. Sharon was terrible at owning the problem and only blamed the manufacturer for the problem. Terrible, terrible customer service. Rita was terrible as well. She was friendly on the surface but told me multiple lies to convince me to purchase the furniture. My wife and I purchased a sectional a month ago. They are supposed to be delivering it today. Friday my wife gets a call about a delay. They tell us that 1 piece of the sectional is delayed. I call back to get further information about what's going on, she was at work and couldn't talk. I talk to 2 different ppl who tell me it'll be here today, it's the ottoman that is running behind. Fast forward to today, we are supposed to be getting the sectional, today, between 415-715. My wife gets a text asking the best day for a delivery. I call to investigate, once again. The couch is being delayed, again. Another week. They sent an EMAIL to let us know that. An email. An email that no one received. I had work today, that I didn't go into. We have a naked living room that we moved ALL the furniture out of. But our sectional won't be here for another week. And we received that notification from a freaking email that NEVER came. This is how they do business. Cancelling a delivery the day before, through a email. I hope this helps someone else make a better decision. We will NEVER buy anything from Ashley's again. The kicker is we went to sears and bought a recliner to go with the couch, walked out with it THE SAME DAY. I understand delays, but to communicate through an email that no one received just blows my mind. I've never in my 37 years seen business conducted like this. read more
