If I could give them zero stars I would. I bought a couch and within 4 months it is broken. It has taken them 2-3 months to send the correct parts and I've had their technician not show up to fix it regardless of me being on the schedule. Then I get told that he only comes on tuesdays and since he didn't get to me I'll have to rebook. What is the point in being on the schedule if the repair technician doesn't follow it! Avoid This Store - They Only Sell, They Don't Help! I strongly advise against purchasing from the Ashley Furniture location in Avon, Indiana. This store is sales-only, meaning if you have any issues after your purchase, they will not help you. Instead, they'll direct you to a corporate customer service number that is a complete runaround and a nightmare to deal with. We were very clear when placing our order that we wanted everything delivered in one shipment,. When the delivery arrived, the drivers unloaded a partial order without telling us in advance that key pieces were missing. After finding out, it was going to be almost 3 weeks for the remaining pieces, we no longer want the order. The store completely washed their hands of it, telling us they "just do sales" and that we had to deal with corporate. After a week of frustrating phone calls, corporate refused to accept a return, despite one of their own reps saying we had a case. Now we are stuck with furniture we didn't receive in full, never agreed to take in pieces, and has been sitting untouched with the tags still on it. Just take a look at the photos and you tell me did I get the sofa that I ordered. $4000 for a sofa that isn't the same color as their display. We purchased (online from the local store) an Ashley Recliner with motorized controls in December, 1921. We declined the warranty plan offered with the chair, based on the what we felt was the possible benefit versus the cost. This week (April 2025), the control for the back of the recliner quit working. I called the maintenance/repair facility for Ashley and requested a repair at our expense. I was advised that they would not do repairs in any event because we did not purchase the warranty plan. I reminded the representative that I was not requesting repair under warranty, I was requesting repair at our expense - including the expense of pickup and return. Representative responded, no matter, we will not fix the recliner. It would appear that Ashley neither communicates the the fact that repairs will only be done if the buyer purchases the warranty plan nor the fact that they do not stand behind what they sell. Purchased a leather chair and Warranty 5yr from someone called GBS. I called to ask a question about our leather chair. They said I had to file a claim. When I said ok they said it wasn't a warranty item. I said remove the claim since I supposedly get my warranty money back if I don't file a claim. They basically said sorry no can do or something to that effect. The store said we should be treating the leather every 5-6 weeks. My wife purchased two chairs from them about four months ago. After waiting months for them to be delivered, we received a call saying they would be delivered this week. The next day we got a call saying they can only deliver one because the other is now on back order 9. Today they delivered one chair and after unpacking it we discovered it was BROKEN. Unfortunately Ashley Home store has no concept of customer service or standing behind their own products. I bought an entire living room set in July 2022 and by August of 2023 the material, and I say material because it's not leather and it's not fabric, has rubbed off basically where someone's lower back would sit. This living room set is Ashley signature series and was sold to me as quite durable the salesperson even took a key to the couch while we were in the store to show it doesn't scratch. I have been trying for 2 months to have this fixed and either can't get someone on the phone and when I went to the store I was told it's not their problem they are only the salespeople once it's delivered sorry nothing we can do. For my birthday we decided to pick out a new living room set my new home. We went to a few furniture places and it was between Godby and Ashley Furniture. We talked to a sales rep there as we looked around. She told us about the deals and she was very informative. They seemed short staffed so she pretty much gave us what we needed and we walked the store looking for the right living room set. Godby had a set that would've shipped this past weekend but if I found something at Ashely I would get that. Well to our surprise we found something that we thought would fit our family. We looked for the lady that helped but she was with another client so Kenny, the manager, assisted. I told him about the set we liked but I wanted delivery before Christmas if possible. If not I would go with the set at Godby. He made a call and came back telling us it wouldn't be Christmas but we'd have it by December 30th. I was ok with that. As much as we wanted to have something to sit on for Christmas we understood how shipping/orders works. With that being said we financed the set, put down $1000 and I bought an area rug. They told me that it would take 48 hours for delivery to process. Something told me to call and follow up and I'm glad I did. When I called they told me that my furniture would not ship until January 24th!!! What?!!! Had I known that we would have ordered the furniture from the other store... I was not happy at all. Long story short I've been calling and leaving messages for the past 2 days and no one has called. It seems like once they place your order they are pretty much done. We plan on going in and canceling the order. Our heart is not set on this furniture but one thing we don't like is to be told one thing and it's the total opposite. As a customer I expect to be treated like my business matters. If your store doesn't answer the phone at the very least call back. I am giving Ashley Furniture no stars, but am required to give them at least one for this post, with the experience my husband and I recently had with them. We had been looking for a couch to do in our basement and had done our due diligence with looking at approximately eleven stores in Indianapolis. We settled, finally, on two couches from Ashley Furniture due to their price matching of another store we found the same couch and the employee informing us that we could change the color or couch if once we got it into the space; it didn't work. We picked up our order due to not needing delivery. Once we got home, we realized that we were unable to angle the couch correctly to get it down the stairs even though it would fit through the doorway and in our basement. We contacted Ashley to see if we could exchange the couches as we were unable to use them due to this challenge and as the employee informed us. My husband was not given a direct answer by anyone and then finally reached corporate to be told that they could not help us and we were stuck with two couches we could not use. I then reached out to them with the same experience. It was frustrating to be told one thing repeatedly in their store with no compassion or solution to help us, even though, if we would have paid for delivery they would have let us. The experience we had was that this was a family owned business who wants people to be happy and confident with their purchases, but this is not what we got. So I used Ashley to purchase a whole new bedroom set and the experience was not good.. at all. First off, when going into the store to purchase my set I knew I had a budget in mind and the person I worked with was extremely pushy. She was only trying to help her self and kept basically telling me to spend more money. Which wasn't very helpful and a little rude. I had to keep saying no and it was just awkward. After I finally purchased what I wanted.. the delivery process was a nightmare. I had to wait over a month for my pieces to be ready. And once they were finally ready to deliver, my dresser was scratched all over, and they brought the wrong night stands! So then I continued to wait another 3 weeks to get a new nightstand. And then another week on top of that to get a replacement for my dresser. Was just not and overall good experience and sadly don't think I will ever purchase from Ashley furniture again. Also, I know the delivery people are contracted out, but they were not professional at all. They actually dropped one of the dressers when delivering the replacement. I called him on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday leaving voicemails each time with my phone number and no one has called me back. The only two delivery attempts made (one in January and one in February) were on days I specifically requested that they NOT delivery them on because I was in important virtual meetings, but they still came and embarrassed me (my smart home repeated several times that someone was at the door) during important presentations I was conducting with Apple Inc. executives/directors. The store charged our credit card at the time of purchase. When I looked at the invoice at home it said delivery in 8-14 weeks. Really loved the piece and decided I was willing to wait. Week 8 they scheduled and rescheduled delivery twice with the same message that the item was in Chicago. Went in to the store with the intention to cancel and receive a refund but was talked into one more delivery attempt because 'the item was in Chicago.' Item was delivered the next week. I watched it come off the truck, it had obviously been re-wrapped. They brought it in and at least 2 magnetic doors were defective and one was hanging askew and not square with the frame. Inside the cabinet spaces, every shelf was missing. Every one. So I refused delivery. Fairly certain we were not delivered a new piece but the last available floor sample in the country, lol. Trying to request a refund through their phone system was impossible, numerous calls and then I was on hold for 21 minutes waiting for approval by a supervisor before I disconnected. Our first time back to Ashley in 7 years when we purchased a large living room set which delivery was delayed 3 months past the original promised date was another huge disappointment. We purchased a TV stand which they reported was available at the warehouse and would be delivered within 3 days. When I inquired the day after purchase on the delivery I was then told that it would be 8-12 weeks for delivery. There were no calls or other information shared with us on the delay until I inquired. We went into the store and the Manager and the Customer Service Manager were unable to help and didn't seem very concerned about our dilemma (probably because it happens a lot there). We ordered 3 items on February 25 2019. The delivery date to begin with was 3 weeks out. Then Ashley canceled that delivery date saying the items were not in ????? Our delivery was then set for two different dates. We received a chest and a dresser first more than a month after our purchase and order date. The dresser has an issue on the side of one drawer which, although annoying, is not something I wanted to deal with Ashley furniture about. The chest arrived with a bent bar and broken wheel that will render 3 of the chest drawers useless. Had to call and get the new pieces for that so they can fix it. Still waiting on the pieces. When the last piece was finally supposed to arrive, it was the wrong item. WORD TO THE WISE: **DON'T GET DUPED**. SAVE YOURSELF REGRET, FRUSTRATION, WASTE OF FINANCIAL RESOURCES, and learn from us - those who have had traveled this road of regret and are living in a nightmare! The best course is to stay away from Ashley Furniture Industries, their affiliated companies/organizations, and their products altogether. I purchased a higher end Ashley sofa through Amazon and a little over a month later, there was a creaking noise on the right side of the sofa any time I sat on that end and the creaking noise became more pronounced as time transpired. After having the sofa 1 1/2 months (not even 2 months) the creaking noise got worse and could then be heard if the armrest was used on the right side. I began to examine the right side armrest and could feel through the sofa that there was a huge part of the frame missing and that explained the creaking noise.....there is a huge defect, there is no adequate support on the right side, and the right armrest is completely hollow on the side (since it's hollow the material can be pressed in completely to the side of the couch). When Amazon delivered the sofa I was given a small Ashley booklet titled "Warranty Information" so I reached out to Ashley Furniture Industries. Though they acknowledged that I had received a defective couch they still blew me off and told me to email their consumer affairs department and their consumer affairs department did the same thing....blew me off. I continued to call Ashley and they continued to do the same thing (refer me to their consumer affairs department and the consumer affairs department would blow me off). Also as others have said, virtually impossible to get anyone at the Avon store to answer the phone. It's been almost 3 months now. It's been "scheduled" multiples times only to be changed last minute. Then it wasn't changed and confirmed day prior so I sat at home and waited. No show. No one can explain why. No one knows what I am supposed to be delivered. No one knows ANYTHING. Once again scheduled for this Friday only to be called yesterday to schedule for the following week and knew nothing about it already being scheduled. Yet, nothing is in yet? Looks like my experience is typical. Wish I read these reviews ahead of time. My salesperson sold me a discontinued item. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that it was not intentional. A month went by and I finally went in to check on my order....it was at that point I was told it was discontinued. Good think I followed up on my order. Nobody from Ashley did. I was then given a credit card refund for the discontinued item. I was told it would take 5-10 business days to process. 6 weeks later I'm still waiting for it to appear on my card. I've made several calls and one personal appearance at the store to try and straighten it out. Apparently, there is only one person (Jennifer) in the store that can deal with this situation and she is never there and does not return phone calls. Wont be shopping here ever again. I've learned there are web retailers that sell the same furniture Ashley does at cheaper prices. I cant imagine their service is worse. My advice - go to Ashley to find the item you like and then order from other retailers online. read more

I really would not even give them a 1 star. Bought furniture and it wasn't delivered and no communication from Ashley. We have called the store for several days and nobody answers, even all the different options. Did online chat and they said they couldn't help cause it was bought from store (saved all messages) but still no help. Filed a compliant with BBB and calling Indiana attorney generals office to file complaint tomorrow. Probably the worst customer service ever and I cannot believe stores not answering phone, we tried calling Whitestown store also and same thing, nobody answers but they like taking your check in store. read more

Only because I can't give zero. Ordered a couch in mid October. It has been delayed for months. Finally gets delivered 12-23 and has huge cut across seat. On phone with them now, says 5% off and can't be delivered until late February. Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone and will do my best to get this out to ALL. Delivery guys were super nice but this company should be ashamed of their product and pace. read more
