I thought I had ordered a 3 piece bedroom set, which included bed, dresser, and nightstand. Upon delivery the nightstand was missing. In customer service I kept getting the run around - not in the paperwork - when right on the website it specifically says when you order this set a nightstand is included IN THE PAPERWORK. I never received a paper receipt, the manager said it would be emailed, I never got the email. I was never shown an itemized list, he said it would be emailed, I never got the email. Turns out I did not order the "set" only a bed and dresser separately, no nightstand. The salesman claims I said I didn't want the nightstand so he wrote everything up separately. The only thing I ever stated I did not want was the mirror. Based on the showroom floor and the website I assumed I was ordering the set which INCLUDED the nightstand. This could have been cleared up if I had actually been walked through the order AT THE STORE. When writing up the order the salesman forgot to include the mattress, then the railings, etc. Then he wrote everything up separately, total screw up. Total mass confusion and I in good conscience cannot recommend this store. Steer clear. Should be negative stars!

I talked to 3 different people with no resolution and a promise of a call before closing. Never got a call. Plus, the delivery team damaged my door while bringing the sofa into the house. So now I've paid for something I didn't get at a price higher than what was promised and incurred damage to my newly remodeled house. And it's crickets. Never again.

I wasn't happy with their guarantee and answers to my questions so I asked if I could cancel my order. I wasn't to receive my merchandise for several weeks. After a lot of hassle they finally agreed to cancel my order. But they kept claiming they lost a ton of money in my order because it was custom. I ordered 2 XL twin mattresses to be placed on a split king base. These are sold all the time now with split bases and it had only been mere hours since we purchased and the store had been closed. Also, we were "given" a free gift of a quilt, a really "cheap" polyester for a 5 star review. After cancelling the order I'm being charged $80 for that $5 quilt that was to be free. This quilt was never to be part of the purchase. It was to be a gift for posting a good review, which I did. Me, as a customer was not important to them. They ripped me off for that $80. They did not look out for me. I will never again deal with this company again. I should have went with The Purple Mattress which has a 100 night guarantee with full money back. Buyer beware! She was only trying to help her self and kept basically telling me to spend more money. Which wasn't very helpful and a little rude. I had to keep saying no and it was just awkward. And once they were finally ready to deliver, my dresser was scratched all over, and they brought the wrong night stands! So then I continued to wait another 3 weeks to get a new nightstand. And then another week on top of that to get a replacement for my dresser. Was just not and overall good experience and sadly don't think I will ever purchase from Ashley furniture again. Also, I know the delivery people are contracted out, but they were not professional at all. They actually dropped one of the dressers when delivering the replacement. He answered all of our many questions. In addition to replacing her mattress she decided to go with the adjustable frame that raises your head and feet in the split design. That means each side is independent of the other side and adjusts individually for two separate people in the same bed. They have mattresses where the foot portion of the mattress heats up to keep your feet warm if you would like that feature. They also have a wide assortment of pillows in all kinds of shapes, thicknesses, firmness, and materials used inside. They have sheets and comforters too. Today, Thursday, was delivery day, everything went smoothly. They arrived on time. They notify you twice before arriving. Total time spent on delivery and setup was less than one hour.

I decided to change my choice and go with a less firm mattress, and I`m glad I went back, I needed to get this right. Mark was great and Longs Mattress seems to be a great locally owned place to do business with. I am very pleased with them so far. It`s nice to have a local place to buy from, and they even make their own mattresses, and I think that`s a great situation too.

Anyway the 1st one came in and it wouldn't recline, wouldn't lean back and sat crooked. I called the store and the very first words out of their mouth was if I return it, it will be a 25% restocking fee. I said on a damaged chair? Finally he said he would send out service to look at it, sure enough the whole metal frame under the chair was bent. They were going to send me a new frame. I don't pay that sort of money and the chair comes damaged. So I took it back. They so far have kept my deposit since they still are claiming a 25% restocking fee. So when the second matching chair came in which I tried to cancel but they said was already on it's way to their warehouse, I refused it, but they still are keeping my 25% restocking fee. I disputed the charges on my credit card but they are still claiming the 25% restocking fee. So I lost $700.00 due to the damaged chair and their customer service. So I agree with several people on here 'Unless you want a huge headache do not purchase from Godby' because they are pleasant when you go in but better not have any complaints with them. No doubt they fixed the broken chair and sent it to their outlet store and also the matching chair I didn't accept, so they made a lot more money on it than normal, but 700 was mine.
