We should have looked at the yelp reviews before walking through the door; everyone is right- the customer service is horrible, and follow up with issues is even worse. Very inconsistent messaging and not willing to help resolve issues at all. We purchased a floor sample item, returned to pick up our items at the appropriate time as instructed, but were then instructed we could not take our paid for product because they were taking inventory. It was paid for?? They don't own it any more??? Multiple phone calls to customer no-service and I will hopefully pick it up next week... asked for compensation to cover my time and fuel - was offered $100 by customer service - but store said I could only have $25... as of now I'm just hoping to get my items! read more

Purchased four bar style chairs. Was told I would be called when they arrived. Well, after two weeks I called them and they had not arrived. After three weeks, no chairs. After four weeks I called again and alas they had arrived. So, moral of the story, if you want furnitire from these folks, be prepared to wait - and don't expect a call when it arrives. On the positive side, the chairs are nice. read more

Recently, my wife and I were shopping for a new living room set. We had checked the website for Ashley Furniture, found some good options and decided to go to our local store here in Athens, GA to see the furniture in person. Lucky for us we were helped by a wonderful salesperson named Julie Patterson. She showed us what we had seen on the site and in addition talked with us to find out what we both were looking for and then almost miraculously found something we both loved. The quality furniture we received for the amazing price was very satisfyIng. Julie went above and beyond in helping us, we felt as though we were talking to a good friend who was very knowledgeable, who had our best interest at heart. We now have the furniture we love in our living room! If you are shopping for furniture, looking for quality furniture at a great price, go to Ashley HomeStore and ask for Julie Patterson. read more

They have a great selection of fine furniture. The assistants are friendly and helpful, not pushy. The furniture was delivered when they said by friendly movers. It was a great experience. read more

So we paid $1000 for a table and dinning room chairs at the end of November. They were delivered two weeks ago today, but they did not have the hardware for the table. They said it would be shipped to us and we would get in a few days. Its been two weeks, and still no parts delivery and no word from Ashley. We called today and they told us they havent even shipped the parts yet. So we paid a $1000 for a table that is still in two separate pieces on my kitchen floor, been that way for two weeks so far, and they tell us the parts wont even arrive until December 18th! This is totally unacceptable, we bought the table Nov 30th! We will never buy so much as a napkin holder from Ashley again. They even charged us a "Set Up and Assembly" Fee even though the only assembly is the table which they havent assembled because they didnt have the parts! I will never shop here again :( read more

This store was bad! It has a sign "next day delivery"on their front door, but after purchasing over $3,000 worth of furniture they then said it would be two weeks before we would get our delivery. The day before delivery they called and said that the dining room set we ordered would be another two and a half months out before we would get it. We said we would accept their floor model but they won't let you have it as they would like to sell it to others! That means anyone looking to buy the dining set will also have to wait until the end of October 2018 to receive their purchase. This is unacceptable to my wife and I. Oh by the way the sales representative took about two hours to complete the transaction. If you go into this store beware, ask if the item you are looking at is in stock! Bad business all around as far as I am concerned. We may cancel our order tomorrow. Allen read more

We went in to shop for a new dining table and chairs and Doug greeted us as soon as we walked in the doors. He was very helpful in showing us what they had available, then left us alone to look and discuss. I love that he did not hover over us and just let us do our thing. There was a children's area that came in very handy with our four and two year olds once the purchasing process began. Checkout and financing was very easy. We bought our table and chairs on a Thursday and they were in our home the following Wednesday! Didn't even have to wait a full week. Everything went smoothly, no problems whatsoever! It was a very lovely furniture shopping experience. Thank you! read more

Acceptance now is fraudulent. Purchased a furniture set and enrolled in acceptance now to protect me if I lost my job. Well I lost my job and now I have been told that I was out out of the protection plan if I lost my job because the sales representative room it upon his self to out me out of this program so I can have insurance on my furniture. I was not made aware of this and now I am being threatened to go to court for repossession. I have contact my lawyer and have forwarded all emails, recorded phone calls, letters ect to prepare my self for court and to protect my rights. They lied to me and took action to do what they wanted to my account. It's unacceptable and no-one should buy from them. read more

Found the perfect bookcase and desk for our home office. We were ready to pay cash for both items and even take the floor models. We were told we couldn't have a floor model because then they wouldn't have a display, but if we ordered we could have it by Wednesday (what about the next day delivery on his name tag?) however if we came in the next day we could have it by Saturday? The salesman then directed us to Office Depot. They had a guaranteed sale at that moment and they let us walk out of the door. read more

If you want customer service do NOT go to this store. While the original salesman was helpful when I had a problem with the product the representative was downright rude. And they dont stand by the products they sell. Will NEVER go back to this store and I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

The two ladies who work on the computers at the back of the store are freaking amazing. As well, one of the assistant managers, I can't remember his name, was extremely respectful and accommodating with my second purchase. I bought a mattress and bedroom furniture, but the employee helping me sheared me away from the mattress brand I came ready to solely pick from, and I ended up with a mattress that felt good in the store, but left me so uncomfortable for weeks that I was falling asleep in class and taking two -four extra pain meds ( I take strong medications due to seven shoulder/ lung/ and neck surgeries) every single day, and still suffering from hours of severe pain during the night. I need really firm surfaces for sleep due to the nerve problems I suffer from, and it was a medium level ( which I thought meant medium price, not firmness), so there was no question after a week that it was going to be a problem that got worse with time, not better. I went in to the store a few days after delivery, and was told I could exchange for the same price mattress, even though they have to throw away the mattress because it was unwrapped. I spent almost 2,000 for a good mattress, so I genuinely appreciated their accommodation. When I finally came in to submit my second order, the assistant manager helped me get a new mattress, desk, storage, and lamp, and allowed for me to get a 10% discount on the bed because it was Labor Day. He did not have to do this, as they were eating the cost of the first mattress, but they were very understanding of the fact that I'm in college and spending 3,000 total on furniture is a lot, and that my shoulder/neck injury is severe-so, not being able to sleep is something I cannot manage while trying to finish school and make it through the day on the allowed dosage of pain medication. On top of all of this, he even made certain that the desk, which was back order for a month (but I needed it asap because I study hours a day and I had to go elsewhere until I had a desk in my apt) was delivered that same week with the rest of my furniture. The manufacturer had one available that someone did not need for a few months so I got theirs and they got my back ordered one. Ultimately, they take care of their customers, and when you ask to be left alone to shop by yourself, they listen, and when you ask for help making a decision, they do everything they can to make the customer happy. read more

If I ever decide to purchase from Ashley again I will drive to a store much further away so I don't have to deal with this store again. The sales rep ordered me queen rails for a king bed. When I questioned him he assured me they are the same size however, they aren't the side rails but the mattress rails. I then had to wait 2 more days to have the king rails delivered. I was assured I would be charged for this. I then was charged because the store never exchanged the rails so I was charged for an extra set of rails and had to call the store for now the 4th time to correct errors with delivery. On top of that I had to have a repair man come and changed the knobs on the dresser because whoever, installed them stripped them so I wasn't able to tighten them. The people at the store are either uneducated about the products or have no problem lying to the customers or are just bad at there job. Terrible customer service experience. read more

The sofa I purchased was on back-order which I understand happens on occasion. However, the delivery date was pushed back twice. In all, it took two and a half months to deliver the sofa. I was assured that reparations would be made in the form of a partial refund or gift card but after weeks of chasing around Ashley employees to get a final answer, and still not receiving one, I am losing hope there will be a resolution. Very disappointing experience. read more

Visited the store to look at counter stools. Saw a table with counter stools right at the entrance of the store and asked about them. The store clerk just told me quickly where to find the price and that the store had a big selection of stools throughout the store. I verified with him if he was talking about counter "stools". "Yes" he said "Just look for them in the store" and off he went to talk with his colleagues. I searched throughout the store but could not find any, asked the same person for help but he snobbishly said, " well, I guess we do not have them then" When I wanted to mention something about him not being very helpful, he interrupted me and just said : " well yeah, have a good day" turned around and off he went.....! Needless to say, I will not be back, ever ! read more
