Lovelady Center, located not far from the store, helps women get back on their feet after going through tough times. They turn your donations into profit that helps them support their residents. In fact, most, if not all, the ladies that work here, are connected to Lovelady in some way. They are either current residents or have been helped in the past. You should really look up their story. The items are quite higher end with a few pieces I picked up being priced in the $200-300 range, just as a head's up. I always like to know price ranges before coming into a store. I can see women in high corporate positions wearing to work or attending an important meeting. Immediately upon entering, I was greeted by the store owner's large black pug named Mr. Pickles. One of the cutest dogs I've ever seen! It was hard for me to focus on shopping after playing with him. The store owner even told me that little boys come to her store after school just to see Mr. Pickles. Returns are always easy, and the cashiers are efficient and pleasant. I do shop this location periodically. It's about a 50/50 chance on whether the stock is orderly and organized. The worst area is usually the cosmetics and accessories (to the far right in the store). If you like to dig through the additional markdowns, it's not unusual to find items broken, sampled, etc. Same for the additional mark clothing; every once in a while those racks look more like thrift racks than clearance, but once you find that diamond in the rough it can be worth it. I do wish this location got more of the special occasion pieces, but either I always miss them or they go to different Rack locations. If you've got the time, it's a great place to find great prices on everything from budget-friendly brands to designer brands.

It's not uncommon to have difficulty finding assistance, finding sizes in the wrong place - specifically shoes, messy racks, clothes left in changing rooms, and a long checkout line moving at a snails pace. When shopping here I expect at least a 50% discount, but it's not uncommon to only find 25%-30% on discounted items. Even with these negatives, I've found great shoes and some clothing. I will return because I love the thrill of a good hunt!

As I was leaving the owner or employee also touched my shoulder unprompted and without consent, seemingly in a gesture of friendliness, I did not feel invited or welcome, I simply felt confusion. The art in the store, the wears and gifts are made and produced almost exclusively to appeal to white patrons, while the store is situated directly in the center of a historically Black neighborhood.
