The owner of this store has terrible service. I running 5min late because of the traffic. Then she's yelling of me for being almost ten minutes late. I think she should leave enough time slot for each customer. She yelled me like I have another customer later, and she wouldn't do a full service for me. I wondered I'm not her customer? Just because I'm a new customer, she has that terrible attitude to me. I refused to accept the partial service she offered and left. She and her guy colleague are all available at that time, and no customer there in the store. That's how they behave and treat me. I think they should improve their behavior. read more

I could not help myself as I had to write a review the minute my nails were completed! I recently wrote a review for a nail Salon nearby out of great disappointment and now I am writing a review for Ashley's nail salon because they blew me away with their skills AND with customer service. Unusual?! After trying 6 nails salons within close proximity, I truly was blown away with everything about the salon from customer service, friendliness, to skill set. I will go in detail with my reasoning. I know what is like to have a full set acrylic and gel nails and/or combination or the two over the duration or 15+yrs. Ashley started off asking what I liked and didn't like about my current full set, what my goals were with what I thought would be the perfect nail for me, and then summarized what her plan of action was. She paid close attention to detail, aware of my natural nail--aware my natural nails were filed too much already, and while putting the full set on, she actually separated my skin from the nail so my skin wouldn't be glued to the nail! I usually have to request that! She cleaned underneath my nails, filed the proper shape and sides of the fake nail, the nails were thin and matched my natural finger/nail shape line for a natural look, and the appointment was about 30 min in length. It seems like the other nail salons keep u up to 90 min, and that is not the case here, AND they are done w excellent detail. As we all know, the details of the nail are so important. Prices: Full Set $27 Fill. $18 White tips $32 Pedicure $26 They offer other services including waxing of eyebrows, lips, full face, arms, legs, bikini. Many combo packages avble. Appointments: suggested for everyone to make appts, although up you can get lucky if there is a cancellation. There are 2 nail techs (husband/wife) and the mother helps w pedicures. Parking: there is a private lot, easy parking, free. Communication: well-spoken English with 100% English comprehension Other: the salon was very educational, detail oriented, ask u a lot of questions to find out what you like Customer satisfaction: excellent. Everything was put on the table. Ashley did one nail, filed the shape, asks u if u like it or would like tweaking before continuing on to the other nails. Conclusion: After recently Moving from out of state, there 3 concerns for a female: finding a new doctor, new hair salon, and a new nail salon. I wish I would have found this place when I moved to Ithaca two years ago. Ashley Nails is the best nail place by FAR in Ithaca. They are very friendly, professional and they do an excellent job. I got a gel manicure that lasted almost a month, and my regular manicures last at least a week (which is long for me!) I recommend making an appointment. The salon is very, very small and they only have one pedicure chair, so it's not great for groups, but if you are looking for your regular mani/pedi fix, this place is where you should go. read more

I'm from the NYC area and usually wait until I go home for school breaks to get my nails done. I decided to try Ashley Nails because I was in desperate need of a manicure. I called to make an appointment (definitely do this because they are small) and was scheduled for the same day. They pay attention to detail and asked me if everything was okay several times. Walked-in here for a mani/pedi on my way to my motel. It's a small but intimate establishment. The workers here were super friendly and nice. I don't really get mani/pedis done often, but I thought they did an excellent job. You can tell that they keep the place clean and in order. I can be pretty stingy about tipping but I didn't mind giving this place an extra buck or two for the great service and experience. read more

I was in town for a friend's wedding and needed to get my nails done. I picked Ashley's based on Yelp reviews and I was not disappointed. Small place, but well maintained. Ashley was fantastic! She fit me in as a walk in and we had a great conversation. She communicates everything she is doing, stops to ask how things look, and worries about the slightest inconvenience. Totally professional. Really took their time and paid great attention to detail. I had a mani/pedi. The only thing that was lacking was the massage sections, but my nails still look fantastic so that's hardly worth subtracting points. They also talk to you, as well as talking to each other. I got my nails done at Ashely's and now, 4 weeks later, they are still chip free! Definitely time for a refill! I have never had a manicure last this long and am very impressed. The only downside was how long it took. Between a manicure and pedicure, we were there for about an hour too long. It's a small business so it's understandable, but I wish I knew in advance, I never expected that time commitment. While I wish it was a bit more time sensitive, all things considered, I am beyond happy with how my nails look and feel; the gel dip powder is the way to go! Great quality, beautiful, and strong. It was terrible!! I would not recommend this place to anyone! I went with my niece and her nails looked awful - her nail person painted them with extra polish and never wiped anything off to clean them up. They put WAY too much on and it was goopy and messy. The nail polish quality was the worst I have seen at a salon: mine stay on but the color started to look grainy and bubbled within hours after. My niece's polish started peeling immediately after leaving. We didn't bother to go back. To top the whole thing off: The place was terribly ventilated and we both left with headaches from the chemicals. I would never ever go back. read more

This is the nail salon with the nicest customer service I've encountered in the past. I came in for an eyebrow wax, brazilian and a pedicure and I'm pretty pleased with all the results. At first, the woman who did my waxes made sure to test areas to make sure I could tolerate the pain, although during the wax I felt minimal to little pain and she relaxed me well enough so I didn't feel weird about it. She was also very quick and got me out in about 15 minutes for both waxes. I was really happy about the quality of my pedicure as well. I'm looking forward to getting a manicure there! read more

My bridal party and I got our nails done here before my wedding. It's a small place but they got all 5 of us through in great time. I think everyone was pleased with how their nails came out. I got a mani/pedi and a week later my toes still look like new. Manicures usually only last a few days on me (if that), I must be rough on my hands, but this one just started seriously chipping a day or so a go. So, lasted longer than when I've gotten a mani before at other salons. If I'm in the area again and looking to get my nails done, I would definitely come back here. read more

I went to Ashley Nails for the first time almost 3 weeks ago to get some acrylic tips for an event I had. They were able to make a same day appointment for me and a friend, and were immediately ready when we walked in. I had never gotten my nails done in Ithaca, as I had heard nothing but bad stories no matter where my friends had gone. I decided to try Ashley Nails because none of my friends had been there before, so I had no bad stories in the back of my head. The guy that did my nails was awesome at explaining what everything was, and was very understanding of the fact that I had a lot of questions (I'm a scientist, I like to understand what's going on around me!). He also really listened to what I wanted (I can't have too long of nails in the lab, but wanted them to look a certain way), and double-checked every step of the way that I was happy. They came out looking great and I will definitely be going back soon to get them refilled. read more

I love Ashley's! I've been to multiple places in Ithaca for my nails and always return to Ashley's since its the best place for nails in town. Service is great. It's a small place with 3 employees.
