So far, NOT good. Will update. They gave us the wrong couch and are now saying ours is backlogged out by an unknown amount of weeks. We already waited 2wks FOR delivery. Our agent, Mike, brushed over our concerns and promised a call back the following day which never happened. When WE made contact, he claimed they needed another day before they could re-process our order. Now we're waiting again. Very upsetting EDIT- Sent email to where customer service directed. Pending response. Have yet to hear back from our agent, Mike P, regarding when they can reschedule delivery for and pickup for the incorrect couch. As of yesterday he claimed it'll now be backlogged for an unknown amount of weeks, and that they're mainly focused on picking up the incorrect one but that he'd call us to arrange this. If i could give a 1 star, I would. I bought some furniture in Jan 2023 so it would be delivered and ready by April 1. One of the items I ordered came damaged. I was told it was the head board, but later was told it was the bed. It was reordered back in Feb, but here we are in mid-April and no bed. I have been told 3 different dates it will be here and also been told they dont know where it is. Im beyond frustrated with them and their service. I will not be back. read more

Went in to see two accent chairs I had seen online and was greeted by Sally. I noticed one of the chairs I was looking for was inside the door immediately but the price was different than what it was online. I showed Sally that and the other chair I wanted to see and she was so awesome, assured me that because of the flow of their inventory they don't always show the same price but are happy to honor the lowest price. She knew immediately where the second chair was and I couldn't decide until I looked around and found our sofa. She grabbed one of the pillows from the sofa and suggested we put it against the chairs to see if the colors looked good together. That made the choice easy! She then asked if I was looking for anything else and didn't pressure me. I wandered around for a while to see if anything else caught my eye and when I was ready to order my chairs she explained their protection package and was thorough without pressuring me. Not a review for this store in particular. Although we made the purchase here, it's the quality of their furniture that is infuriating. Purchased a sectional for about $1400 in December 2018. It's now less than 1 1/2 year old and in TERRIBLE shape. The cushions slide off nearly every time you sit on it (the Velcro is no longer working), the springs are rubbing through the bottom, and you feel like you're sitting on the floor on some of the pieces. It has exponentially irritated my tailbone pain while on maternity leave. Customer service rep was nice enough, but sounds like no one in the department is interested in keeping our business. I posted a review on their website, it never got published. When i asked about making a formal complaint, apparently there isn't a department to do that. I will NEVER make another purchase at Ashley Furniture and will suggest everyone i know to go elsewhere. I absolutely loathe this sectional. read more

This is by far the worst store i have ever purchased furniture from. I paid 275.00 for extra protection if something goes bad with the things i ordered. The tecliner quit reclining so i called them and they said they have nothing to do with the warranty. I had to contact a different company.They told me something different when i bought it from them.The company told me they would not cover the recliner.No one would look at the chair to fix it. If you don't have a good heart, just avoid customer service positions all together. Joel and the greeters are kind but the customer service in the bedding department needs friendly people like Joel. From now on, I'll purchase mattresses for my parents and siblings elsewhere. My father is partially blind due a stroke. I bought him a mattress through Joel and he loves it very much. His aches and pains are gone. I should've bought the foundation through Joel, then I wouldn't have to come back and deal with the cold sleep specialist. Joel is warm and kind. We looked for a mattress together. He explained the features and everything he was doing on the computer. It was a great experience. Joel gave me his card and welcomed me back anytime because I was looking to purchase mattresses for my brother. Unfortunately, he wasn't in. So I dealt with someone else instead. I was nervous about getting the metal foundation for my dad. I prefer a regular box spring. He made it seem like there were no other options. Things are not easy for my dad to assemble anymore, but this associate who doesn't smile at all or say his name, assured me it was simple to put together. Days passed and my dad didn't like putting the metal foundation at all. I was working so I couldn't help. He spent days and hours on it. He had instructions but he was defeated by it. I looked up a YouTube video to help him but he had enough. My dad asked me for a regular box spring. After speaking to customer service on how to return it, I honored my dads wishes and returned it for a regular box spring. The sleep specialist wasn't pleased about thr return. He responded he's never had anyone have issues putting together the metal foundation. I responded my father was partially blind due to a stroke and the conversation ended there. For me, I don't care if you've never had issues before. I'm telling you he had issues. He is your first. He's not everyone. He's partially blind and elderly. Things are not simple for him. The man clicked away, ordered what I asked for, printed sheets, no warmth, no nothing. Most people say sorry it didn't work for you, how can I help? Some even greet and smile but I got nothing. Twice the manners were bad. If you can't smile and hate your job, please find one that suits you. I work in a retail and hospital pharmacy. Some patients are rude, many are polite but I love my patients. I look forward to their smiles, after we've managed to solve their problems with insurance, pending refills, workers comp; whatever it is. I do it with a good heart because professionalism is everything. If you can't do it with a good heart, stay away from positions where you deal with people all together. If I'm the one greeting, smiling at you and trying to help you have a pleasant day from whatever irritated you before I got there and I'm the customer, you hate your job and it's time to find something else. read more

My partner and I prefer a mid-modern look, which is practically non-existent in an area saturated with stores filled with furniture reminiscent of the 90s. After visiting six other places, we stopped at Ashley HomeStore, where we discovered two gems: first, a chase lounge (the only MidMod piece in the store), and Paddy --- our wonderful sales associate. [This rating is specifically for her] Paddy was so helpful and didn't pressure us at all. She gave us a ton of suggestions and tips on how to accessorize while adding life and color to our living room. My husband and I wandered around this entire store for over an hour. We passed at least half a dozen employees that were standing around talking to one another. The clearly noticed us, yet said not a word to us, nor asked if we needed help finding anything. I also noticed at least 4 other groups of people and couples in the same predicament as us. Not sure who to ask for assistance from, as usually in furniture stores you are greeted by a sales person who can help you. It is expected that the people on the floor are already helping someone so it is rude to take them away from the customers they are assisting. As far as we could tell though, none of the employees were assisting any of the customers in the entire store. Again though, it is their job to ask if their customers need help not the customers' job to ask "are you busy? Can you help me?" In a store that is 100% sales employee run and you can't even purchase product without the aid of a sales associate. After we walked the whole store struggling to find what we went in for we decided to take our business elsewhere as Ashley HomeStore clearly wasn't interested in selling anything to us anyhow. We recently purchased a brand new sofa and loveseat from the Fargo store. The furniture arrived on schedule and the delivery people were friendly and helpful. However, The furniture we received came used and full of two kinds of dog hair along with multiple stains. How they were not aware of used furniture being sent out to a customer is beyond me. I called and explained the situation and the person on the phone really didn't seem to have much interest with what had happened. I was offered the opportunity to return the furniture, get a replacement set, or receive store credit. As if I was going to shop there again. The fact that the furniture came in the condition that it did and the response of the operator was very disappointing as a whole. We will not be spending our hard earned money at this store again. Buyer Beware. I bought a set from Ashley less then 5 years ago. Great to start with but then needed warrant work. Warranty company fixed the issue the first time but not 3 years later when it happened again. Contacted Ashley Furniture in Fargo and talked to several workers for help. Refused to communicate back and keep telling me they were working with me. In reality they were waiting for my warranty to run out so they did not have to fix there poor quality Furniture. have called weekly for last 4 months with no response. Even from the Store Manager. Furniture may look great right off the show floor but it wont last. Biggest waste of Money ever. Poor Quality. Poor Communication and only out for commission. read more

Can't say I am impressed with any part of my experience. I ordered a leather couch and recliner with a tv stand back on July 6th of this year. I was given an original arrival date of September 1st for everything, and was told that the tv stand was already in warehouse and could be shipped right away. Fast forward to the middle of September and I have not revived one phone call about the furniture I had ordered. I called the store and they sent me to the warehouse, which I find out the couch had arrived weeks ago and the tv stand had already been there. So I scheduled a delivery, I get the furniture the third week of September and the tv stand was completely damaged and the couch had scratches on the cushions, and scuff marks on the leg. I sent back the tv stand and was told that I would be contacted the following Wednesday to reschedule delivery for another. Wednesday comes and passes, and the next with no word. So I call and canceled the tv stand and purchased one elsewhere. I was told a receipt of return would be mailed to me and nothing yet to this day, and my chair I ordered hasn't arrived yet even though the original ETA was September 1st then went to October 1st and on the 30th of October I called again, to find it still had not arrived but was is transit and should be here in 2 days and will be called in for delivery.. it's now NOVEMBER 13th and I have not received a call on something that should have been in over two months ago. read more

If you enjoy long, eerie, stalker vibe walks through the aisles of poorly placed furniture, then this store is for you. Peaking around every corner or sitting on the couch next to the set you are looking at will be your stalker salesman, pretending to be invisible until you start talking to your significant other about the couch. At this point, they will pounce and give you every, unneeded detail about the purchase of that couch. Once you fight off that stalking episode and move on through out the store you will continue to get a creepy feeling that you are being watched until you turn around and find your salesman right behind you to yet again explain another couch that you were slightly interested in but didn't care for any details that will be forced down your throat. Fortunately, for this salesman, we had just moved and needed a couch so we did end up purchasing one and he got earned his sale. But guess what, the stalking didn't end after we left the Ashley's Frequent Stalker store. A few days after our couch was delivered I continued to receive personal texts from the salesman's personal phone regarding our purchase. I did not sign up for stalking text messages from greedy stalker salesman but apparently when you are a stalker there are no boundaries. These text messages consisted of requesting us to pick up our order, which had already been delivered and I was sitting on the delivered couch at the time of this text. I informed the salesman of this and after some back and forth he finally admitted I was correct, we did receive our order. Thank you captain "stalker" obvious! After this, I received a text again from this stalker salesmans private number, requesting we verify our purchase was picked up. I ignored these texts as it was starting to get ridiculous. A week later we decided to upgrade our warranty protection for our couch. My husband did this all via phone and our payment came out a few days later for this upgrade. BUT our stalker showed up AGAIN, a week later I get a text that we still owe money on our warranty upgrade. The amount the salesman quoted was less than we had previously paid. I sent a screenshot of our payment that had already been removed from our bank account. After this was sent, the stalker said he needed to verify with his manager and then recanted his statement and said I was correct, we had paid it in full. I questioned why the amount he quoted was less than we paid and how shady that was as now we feel over charged. I also informed the stalker that I never gave permission for him to text my personal number and that it needs to cease. All this shady, stalker did was apologize that I felt that way and will no longer message me. So in conclusion, if you want a location that doesn't value providing top "less stalker" customer service and you love long, eerie, stalker vibe walks through the aisles of poorly placed furniture, then this store is for you. read more

We purchased a beautiful dinning set at Ashley's in Fargo, ND. Are services purchasing the table was great until a couple days after. We purchased the dinning set on March 24th, we were told that our 2 captain chairs were on back order and would not be in until the 30th, which was fine with us. I did make it clear to our saleswoman that we need this table no later than the 4th of April, due to large amounts of family members coming. I called the Thursday before the 30th to see if there was any idea on the time they were going to deliver so we could work around our work schedule. When I talked to our saleswoman she said that our PO had changed and that our chairs wouldn't be in until APRIL 14th! I clearly wasn't happy, because 1) We already sold out table, and was now table-less 2) NO ONE called us to tell us that the dates had changed 3) Now what am I suppose to do with all my family members during dinner that I am cooking? I explained to her that we need our table ASAP and we were promised something that, the store clearly did not follow through with. I said, since you have our table and 4 other chairs available can you please get those delivered since we don't have a table and desperately need one, and that when the captain chairs come in I can pick those up. She said she can not deliver a purchase that isn't complete. Which is complete B.S. ! I than went in to the store a couple days later to talk to her about it in person because WE NEED A TABLE, but the same thing happened. I asked her when we can get our purchased delivered once the other chairs came in, she said they were booked out until Wednesday, April 18th. Which is completely ridiculous since they knew we have been waiting for almost a month (when they said it would be a week) they should of scheduled a delivery right when they found out when it was going to be in the store and they should of fit us in to a delivery schedule. I bought a sectional at the Fargo Ashley store. I was able to negotiate down to a price close to what I found online. I chose to pay a bit more to keep the business in town thinking that i would get better service. I was wrong. When it was delivered only 1/2 of it was the right one. I called my salesman right away and he assured me it would be quickly remedied. Well fast forward 3 weeks, several phone call runarounds and 2 trips back to the store they finally got the right one delivered. Very poor followup from top to bottom. Lots of passing the buck as to what the problem was. The store Manager told me he would call my girlfriend and chat with her about the issue. Yup never happened. Next time I will just buy it online and save myself a few bucks and lots of aggravation. read more

The staff is friendly enough, but they could use some better quality control at their warehouse. My TV stand was delivered with shelves that were too big (which I didn't realize right away), so when I tried to put them in, they scratched up the inside of the unit. I had to call and request that the right sized shelves be mailed to me and now I have a brand new TV stand with noticeable gouges in the wood. Also, my storage bench was delivered with two of the feet missing from the bottom. I guess I'll have to call and request those as well? Irritating to say the least. read more
