The gas station has different (longer) hours than the warehouse so it should be a separate business EVEN IF YELP MERGES THEM. I won't argue, I just know they're wrong. I didn't go into the warehouse so I have no idea about that and it's silly that Yelp wants them the same. This is the least expensive gas in Fargo (other than maybe Sam's Club) so it was a stop as I head out of the city towards the west. Even though I have around half of a tank, I'm not looking to run out of gas in North Dakota! As with other Costco Gasoline stations, you can use either side of the pump as the hoses are extra long (though not me as I'm in the Sprinter van). Scan your Costco card to start and then swipe your credit card. Costco does not accept American Express. Your choices are regular or premium. They do not have squeegees here which is normal for Costco. And if you need assistance, honk your horn and the attendant will pump for you. I usually have an okay experience at this Costco, but it was chaotic and unorganized today. I went here with my dad today (Saturday 2-8). We arrived around 5:30. When we left, we went through the self-checkout. There was only 1 line for self-checkout. We stood in line and tried to check out in an orderly manner, but other customers kept cutting in front of each other in line (including cutting in front of us), and the employees took no action to address this. It seemed like the self-checkout area could have used more proactive staff to address the issues with other customers cutting in line. read more

Service was fine at the tire center. Selection was good too. Got the tires on with no issues and price was right. Until the tire sensor in the car started going off 2 days after the installation. Took it into the dealership to have them reset the sensor on the tires and they told me that two of the tire sensors were damaged when the new tires were installed.. so my great deal on tires at Costco cost me $400 for new tire sensors. Will not be returning for another go with the other vehicle. read more

Went to this Costco vs the St. Cloud location because I was visiting my cousin and needed to get some stuff. This location is clean and even though I went on a weekend day, it wasn't swarming with people, so i was thankful for that. I am happy they finally got self-checkouts for those of us who only have a few items so we can avoid the long lines that occur. We also got gas and I always like to fill up before leaving since their gas prices are typically considerably less than everywhere else. I wanted to express my sincerest gratitude to Michael at the gas station and Angela (Angie) with membership. Last night, my car battery died after getting gas at Costco. I was very grateful for Michaels help in trying to get it jumped. He approached another Costco member who was willing to provide me with a jump with Michael supplying the cables. It didn't work unfortunately. I called AAA. After about an hour in my car, I was getting pretty cold (it was -6F at one point). Angie - having just finished her shift - signaled to me and asked me if I wanted to stay warm in her car as I waited for the tow truck. I came to learn that Angie has a husband and family and would have - no doubt - preferred to be at home resting in her warm house after a long day at work. Instead, she was so gracious to provide me with a warm car to sit in as I waited for the truck. This was no small feat. The tow truck took an additional hour or so after I got in Angies car. Im not sure what I would have done without her. It was dangerously cold in my car. I was so impressed with Angie's compassion. I think the behavior of both of these Costco employees reflected so positively on the organization... did I just meet the nicest 2 employees within the organization or is there something about the organization that attracts kind and compassionate people. I would recommend staying away if you have a service dog. Mine is small, not your usual German Shepard sort. She is basically a 7 lb., fur covered meds alert. The female security person asked me if she was a service dog, and when I said yes, asked me what she did. She fairly bristled with hostility and since I am usually treated more politely, I stammered out my answer. She immediately rolled her eyes and turned away. Yes, my dog is not what one thinks of as a service dog. And yes, I probably looked and acted very uncomfortably, due to her manner. I ended up leaving as soon as I got my card, I had purchased a membership online. And an hour later, my dog alerted me I needed my meds. Lovely. Regretting getting a card at all, now. read more

I was pleased with the run of this location. They had all of the items I needed in stock except, ironically CHICKEN. They had a huge variety of beautiful flowers and plants. I did buy a package of 5 barrel planters and got home only to find 4. All the water and toilet paper. (No problem there) However, there is still a limit restriction on TP(which is good). People tend to get out of hand with hoarding. But it looks like they've done well controlling it here. My car was packed! read more

It was the first ice storm of the season and my gas tank was frozen shut. The attendant, Derrick, was so nice to help me get it open. Conscientious location on the south west side of Fargo. The staff always seems friendly, or at least I've yet to see any of the staff upset. Costco does stay busy and you will see some congestion at the checkout, however, the staff does a great job speeding up the checkout, opening new lanes and are always helpful in trying to get people through fast. I bout new tires here at a very good price and the install was great. They seem to always have a rebate or sell on tires so if looking to replace yours you may want to stop and see what they offer because they had the best deal, and free warranty package I found in Fargo. read more

Huge shout out to Costco today. They did the military/veterans hour today. Basically he store was open an hour early if you registered and had ID. Downside? Waking up at 6am on a snowy Saturday morning. Upsides? I hate Costco for a few reasons and the first is the competitive full contact sport of parking. I had my choice of multiple spaces all within a few yards of the door! Next, I didn't have to walk a mile and a half to get a cart; they were all lined up right in the front. Again, greeted at the door and didn't have to go through a WWE cage match to get there. At the door I was given a bag full of free goodies. They served breakfast for free. With coffee. Once we were done and started shopping, we didn't have to run the gauntlet of impatient shoppers by the electronics. We calmly sipped coffee actually got to browse the selections just inside the door. Finally, when we checked out, there was no line to wait in and out cart was swarmed by no less than six cheerful and helpful employees that disassembled and reassembled our wares in record time. It was like watching a NASCAR pit crew. Hands down the best Costco experiences of my entire life. read more

This is my actual experience. I used the Costco tire filter to find the tires necessary for my car. I purchased them and after purchasing I was able to schedule an appointment. When I called, I was told they were wide open and we settled on 11am. I arrived at 1045am, 45 minutes after they opened for business for the day. I was told it would take about an hour. At 1143am, I got a call from the tire center. The gentleman told me that they noticed I have run flat tires on my car and I didn't purchase run flat tires. Run flat was not an option presented to me when I entered my correct vehicle make, model and sub model. He went in about how I'd be stranded if I got a flat if I don't understand run flats. I want worried about that, truthfully. What bothers me greatly was that a full hour after they took possession of my car, they are just starting to work on it. I asked what the delay was and he told me they're running behind. Forty-five minutes after they opened for business, they are already timing over an hour behind? This is an example of a business with absolutely no respect for another person's time. I will not return for tires and I would not recommend Costco Tire center in Fargo for tires, either. read more

Winnipeggers love Costco so of course everyone told me to go visit the Costco in Fargo. I live near a Costco at in Winnipeg and shop there about 4 times a year because it's really difficult for us to consume too many Costco sized products. So it's pretty funny that I would travel to Fargo to shop at one. Anyways, out of total curiosity I did and it was interesting to see how different an American Costco. First off, there's way more furniture and home stuff than Canada. And of course, they sell liquor though I didn't notice any huge price differences other than maybe being $5 cheaper for some mainstream wines. If you are celiac, there's definitely a ton of gluten free products available. I was there an hour after opening on Saturday and it was strangely sane there. Nothing compared to the chaos and streams of bodies that I often see at Costco no matter what time of day you shop at. Here, there's enough room to just wander with your big ass cart and not even have to pay attention to where you're pushing your cart because there's no that many shoppers milling about. read more

I can not add her to my account, because they only allow me to add one person , rather than my household. First of all, the grocery bagger did not help us today and rudely said"you can start putting your items up!" ..which I don't mind, but, her tone was very rude. I noticed all the other baggers were helping the other guests put their items on the counter. Not a big deal- but, in retrospect, it was just the start to a terrible terrible experience. When we went to pay, my daughter went to use her card. I was barked at by the cashier and the bag lady jumped in right away.They told me my daughter is not a member and only the member can use a card.I asked if there was an ATM and she said "Yes, right there next to the MEMBERSHIP SIGN UP"...really emphasizing the membership signup!! Mind you, my daughter lives at home and it would make no sense to have her get a whole new membership! I said"I should have just ran the card myself, like we have every other time"My daughter went to get money off the ATM and I stood there waiting-calmly and quietly- while a huge line piled up. At first the cashier was smirking and smug, and then I could see as the line piled up, she was getting frustrated. Not going to lie, I chuckled. Then she pipes up-overly nicely-with a catty look on her face. You know the type- like the mean girls handbook is something she studied hard."You know, if you want to make things faster next time, you could just pull your cash off ahead of time" I explained I didn't have a problem, that I am just waiting quietly and don't need her comments. and she suddenly said"I don't have a problem- I was only trying to help make it easier next time". Obviously, just reading her words, you see how it appears she did nothing wrong. But, her hostile attitude and tone was crazy! Her sidekick bagger person joined in with the attitude, and a guest who only heard the overly nice 'helpful suggestion' started joining in. I told them I am fine and waiting for my daughter to get back from the ATM and to leave me alone, but, they refused. Another manager came over and came up and asked what the problem was... I tried explaining there is not issue, I understand and we had my daughter getting the cash and won't use her card again. I also explained, I know it's BS because I have on numerous occasions used my daughter's debit card there. The nice manager explained that it is for fraud protection and how if my daughter was to dispute the charge, they will not be reimbursed. I have no problem with that, and if someone had explained that to begin with, NICELY, instead of how I was treated, I wouldn't even have gotten upset to begin with. But, the lady who waited on me did not and was hostile, rude, and rudely insinuating my daughter can sign up for her own membership! I explained to the manager that I was just trying to get my stuff and get out and those ladies would not stop trying to egg on an argument. As I said it, the bagger lady just kept going and actually had to be told to stop!!! More than one. She told her to stop and the lady kept going, and she again said"Just Stop"... talk about super humiliating. I was having a really good day up until then and it just really sucked. Nothing worse than being humiliated in front of a very large crowd of people. What really gets me is how many times I asked them to just stop talking to me and they wouldn't. I have been a member of Costco for many years and have never been treated this way. It would appear in the other reviews that this policy is causing lots of guests to have some pretty terrible experiences. I would suggest Costco train their employees to handle this situation the same way the nice manager did. I didn't catch her name, but, she had chin length wavy blonde hair , was middle aged, and had glasses. She was very professional and calmed the situation down in record time. The rude lady was Allison S.who I believe is some kind of manager with long blond hair and the rude bagger was a short, middle age or older female, with short salt and pepper hair and glasses. I am not a confrontational person and this was extremely humiliating to both me and my daughter. I was made to look like a total fool. This same cashier has been rude to me before and I have seen her be rude to other guests, but, never on this level. read more

Stopped in here to gas up after a long day of driving. Unlike other Costco gas stations, this was not busy at all. I drove up just shy of 5 pm on a Tuesday and there was no line. I am not sure how competitive the gas prices are in the Fargo area but I never skip a Costco station unless I really have to. read more

Update on service. Went with my daughter to shop there(i personally don't care for this place) and the customer service has gotten worse from the cashiers. I have to say it's ALWAYS the checkout that has THE WORST attitudes. Today I had the pleasure of witnessing a couple walk out of the store leaving their stuff at the checkout after the cashiers was outright rude. While they were walking out with their small child she proceeds to yell "so do you want it? Or are you just going to leave it" the proceeds to do an exaggerated thumbs up to them while the try to just leave and ignore her. Seriously Costco needs to have INTENSE customer service for the cashiers. Then the other cashiers just kind of rolled their eyes while the couple walked away. I don't know why my daughter continues to shop at a place that treats customer so badly. At least at Sams they just let me shop, checkout and leave. No snide remarks or looks. read more

I love Costco and having one in Fargo is a bright spot in my weekly grocery runs. I only shop for my husband and I, so this isn't just for buying in bulk. One of my favorite perks is access to Coleman's Organic Chicken. It seems to be one of the hardest things to consistently find in town, but Costco always has it available. They also have organic ground beef and vegetables available. There are also the other benefits of being a Costco member, gas is cheaper than Sam's Club, all inclusive vacation packages and we recently purchased tires. The tires were a huge savings, I compared the same tires at other locations in Fargo. I saved over $400 on all 4. I'm not only a fan of Costco Fargo, but of Costco. read more

This Costco is very small. Compared to others around the nation. The gas station only has two kinds of gas.

The store is always clean and the salespeople are friendly. They have strict hygiene rules for employees which is nice to see (ie: no nail polish. If you are caught wearing it, you have to wear gloves). We love stocking up on select products. Their meat selection is top notch. Our first purchase there was a flat screen tv, which we still love, and it was cheaper than anywhere else we had looked. A cosco membership is well worth the money! read more

For the first Costco in the area, it's good. It doesn't have the variety that others around the country have, but it has enough. My wife and I use Costco to supplement the grocery shopping we do at cashwise. We eat mostly natural and organic food, so it's nice that Costco carries a lot of that. That's the biggest plus Costco has over Sam's Club, as far as the shopping goes. There are, of course, many other reason I would never get a Sam's Club membership, but that's not relevant. Things are easy to find at this store, that is, everything is where you expect it to be. For $56/year, it's easy to get your money's worth. read more

I usually love Costco, however this is for the bakery. We ordered 2 special cakes a little over a month in advance. One was a birthday cake for a large celebration and one was for another small get together. We spoke with the bakery lady a few times along the way just to make sure things were going to be done right and on time. We put our faith into the bakery that they knew what they were doing and would do a great job. My husband picked up the cakes the evening before the events and I was so heartbroken. They were both very lopsided. The large birthday cake that was supposed to be one of their simple roses and happy birthday message looked more like a ski slope. Even I know how to cut down a cake to make it level...I'm not sure if it was kids decorating day or a beginner making the cake, but if we hadn't needed the cake right away, we would never had accepted either of them. The chocolate cake was lopsided as well. We cut the birthday cake before anyone noticed the huge mound in one quarter. Also around the edges had cake showing through. I realize these cakes aren't as expensive as ones you might purchase from a stand alone bakery, but still, when you advertise a special way, you should be able to perform the task. I would not recommend getting a cake from here if you're wanting something that looks professional. If, on the other hand, you want to present something that looks like your child made it for a grandparent or something, then by all means go for it! read more

My life changed when Costco came to West Fargo, ND. I go there to shop, fill up my truck, and even eat lunch or supper. It is truly a one stop shop and everything is of the utmost quality. Everything you read about the good things Costco does for it's employees really shows when you go in there, everyone is friendly, the prices are great although sometimes the selection is limited. I've tried their Kirkland brand on some things like their rising crust pizza, the price was comparable to Tombstones on sale in grocery stores so I was expecting quality as good as Tombstone and to my surprise it was better, with the crust being comparable to the "delivery" style pizzas. They sell gallon jugs of milk and bread in two packs which is nice because it's on the way home right off the interstate, although I'm not fond of having to buy two 18 packs of eggs. My dislikes are they don't take cards other than their card, or American Express, so bring cash or a checkbook. Sometimes when walking in and they ask if I have a Costco membership, you'll get an employee that asks to see it, I find this annoying as they let non members in to look around, and I have to stop and pull out my card to show them, then at the register you have to pull your card out and give it to the cashier, then when you're trying to leave you have to have your receipt handy so they check your items. I don't mind the last two but having that occasional employee that makes me pull my card out at the beginning bothers me. read more

I've been a customer since the Costco in West Fargo opened. I recently purchased some shelving units made by Edsel from Costco and asked the Center;s Manager, Skip Davis, if he could contact the company to see if he could special order some additional shelves for me. Not only did Skip come through, the deal from Edsal was beyond belief and the company representative, Chris Quick, bent over backward to get new shelves to me. Outstanding service, both of Costco and of Edsal. I'm 66 and have been to many wholesale stores over the past few decades. The service at the store in West Fargo is well over the top; they carry quality products and their staff is extraordinarily helpful. Service is second to none!! read more
