Because I was too far out of the service area and they needed to schedule a pickup and bring in house to fix. Fine can we do that. Finally a pick up date set. Pick up was in February. They delivered my chair the end of April in the very same condition it was in at pick up. No fix had been done. This all started I January. It is now May . Five months without a chair to sit in. NOT acceptable . I did not accept the delivery. When I called the service department to inform them of the situation all I was told was we usually don't accept the chair back after it has been delivered. Ummm are you listening. I have been waiting 5 months for my chair and it is not fixed and all you can say is we usually don't accept the chair back after it is delivered?? What kind of service is this? Called again yesterday to find out the status."I will send out an email to the warehouse and call you as soon as possible" I have not received a call. I called to return the mattress. They took advantage of a 70 year old woman - she paid $1400 for a full sized mattress. It's listed online for $650 at another retailer. They said they won't return it but that it must be a defect and would exchange it for the same mattress. I asked if they were going out of business to which Todd replied yes, and I said I didn't want the mattress as I can't be in this same scenario two months from now. I let him know I want a refund and for them to take the mattress back. Most mattress sellers have a guarantee period.He said he would talk to Barry the owner and return my call. That was three days ago, so I called today and he said "oh yeah, Barry said no." No phone call back, no acknowledgement that be never reached out. I asked if I could discuss with Barry and he said Barry would call. I called four hours later and spoke to Barry. Barry shared that Todd never mentioned my call and Todd was actually taking over the business and the decision maker. Todd paraded like he needed approval but he was the one to make the decision. The mattress is not only defunct but they are charging twice the cost as another retailer. Feels highly unethical and that they took advantage of the elderly.

The store is 8 hours round trip for me with a trailer as they don't deliver just to see if they might have something I want. No online ordering, no techs to come fix it and no full price reimbursement or replacement of the exact piece. Manager told me it is not his fault I live far away. Do not buy the insurance. It is not what you think it will be.

They have terrible workmanship and are terrible people. Someone had recommended several years ago that I take my work there and it was surely under different management when people had positive experiences with this place. 5.. Lastly, they will actually have your piece for *years* before they screw it up. You will most certainly have to take your piece elsewhere to be fixed after paying the Woodchuck to do it (and sue them for your money back) or try your hand at refinishing it again after they are done.
