We had a good experience with Ashley Furniture in Ohio 11-years ago so we decided to visit the Elk River store. We were immediately greeted by Tanner upon walking into the store . He was very pleasant and took us to the furniture my wife explained she wanted for our new home. The chairs she wanted were exactly the color and style she was looking for and at clearance prices. While we were satisfied with our Ashley Furniture experience, we decided to try Becker Furniture in Becker for comparison. We are so glad we did because we found Becker's selection disappointing. Yes, they do have a huge store, but we did not like their colors (too much grey) and most of their furniture styles. We then went back to Ashley Home Store to find Tanner and make our purchase. Ashley has many delivery options. My wife got exactly the two chairs she wanted and we like the way Tanner worked with us. Be sure to check out Ashley Furniture store in Elk River and ask for Tanner. After spending the afternoon looking all over for living room furniture, my partner and I decided to swing by Ashely Furniture in Elk River just to see if anything stood out. We had already mostly decided out a couch and loveseat from another store and were mainly looking for a coffee table, end table, and tv stand (which we had also almost decided on a set from yet another store we had been to earlier). Thanks to Tom Smaby, we ended up getting everything here instead. Tom was GREAT! Friendly, helpful, and not at all intrusive. He gave us plenty of space to look around and was never too far if we had any questions or needed prices. When we were torn between the couch and loveseat that we were planning on buying elsewhere, Tom worked with us to make it impossible to walk away from the new furniture we had fallen in love with at Ashley. If you end up in the market for some new furniture, definitely get in touch with Tom! He makes the process fun and easy and he knows his merchandise. You won't leave disappointed! read more

I was told my bed would be delivered 17 days after I purchased it which was completely fine because I understand the delay because of covid. The day comes and I only receive my mattresses. The delivery guys tell me it's on backorder which isn't possible since it was a floor model. Then the delivery people I called said the store never sent the bed to the warehouse for delivery. I call the store and am told that they sent it to the warehouse but they now had no idea where the bed is. 4 hours later I get a call saying they found the bed and will deliver it in 2 days. 2 days later I haven't received the call for delivery and I called to find out what time it would be here, I'm then told that delivery isn't set up for me and now they are saying it will be here in a week. Very unprofessional and no one knows what's going on. read more

Never buying from these idiots ever again! First problem was they screwed up on sending is the wrong headboard for a new queen sized bed. Then when we called for help, they told us they would send us someone to check it out ON THE 24th!!!!!! Then they changed their minds and said they'd send one on the 17th. It's the 10th now. I have no bed now. Then after playing phone tag for an hour, they called us and said they would send us one from fridley. But that won't even be here till Tuesday. Don't Ever buy from these guys, they don't care about you or getting you what you ordered. read more

We shopped at the Elk River Store and could not of asked for a better experience. The salesman, Tanner, was friendly but professional and knowledgeable of the furniture we were looking at. The excellent customer service continued when we picked up our furniture assembled and ready to go. The items we purchased did not work out for us and in the return process the professionalism and friendliness has continued. I highly recommend this store/salesman, as we will be stopping there first as we purchase more furniture in the future. read more

My wife and I stopped in to the Ashley Home Store in Elk River for our first visit. We really did not think we were going to purchase anything, but had a lot of questions for redoing our Son's bedroom. Our sales person Andrew was so helpful, understanding and patience of our needs that we did get a couple things for our house and we looking forward to coming back when we are ready for our living room. Actually, I'm in the Albertville outlet area, and I have a very bad experience coming to this store. When I walked into the store, I was approached by a rude man that said to me, and I quote, "you can not be here without an adult, have a nice day 'kids'" He DID NOT ask our age, and I am 22 years of age. I am very upset with this attitude that a worker gave me and I do not recommend this store at all. I was looking for a mattress and their worker was just awful. Enough said. read more

My partner an I had been shopping most of the afternoon and into the evening for new living room furniture at several stores. We swung into Ashley Furniture/Furniture Mart after we had decided to stop for a quick bite. We had been to four other furniture stores prior and weren't even planning to stop in here because we felt we had gotten enough options from the other stores but thought we might as well see what they have ( although we were pretty certain we had picked out what we wanted from the other stores visited previously). Within seconds of walking in the door we were greeted by Tom. He asked what we were looking for and gave us a quick run down on the layout of the furniture in the store, just to help us navigate to what we were looking for. Off we went searching, with Tom checking in periodically and answering any questions as we went. When we fell in love with a sectional (that was a little more than we were originally budgeting) and a living room table set, Tom came over and crunched some numbers and offered us an awesome deal! He was more than helpful and I definitely will be back soon for an awesome bedroom set that I was eyeing up! Highly recommend stopping in and chatting with Tom! read more

My fiance and I have been in this store twice now to look at furniture. The first time we went in, nobody greeted us or helped us for about 15 minutes- and it was 8pm on a Wednesday night, so they were NOT busy! We walked right by the front desk where 3 employees were sitting and they wouldn't even greet us. After 15 minutes, we ran into an employee who was walking by us and she ended up saying hi to us. She did not show us any furniture or even try to sell to us at all. I asked about their financing options and she said "We have 6 months right now." Then later she came back and said, "We're closing in 10 minutes, did you want to apply for the card?" We went in again today because this is the closest furniture store to our house and once again we were not greeted or talked to. A sales associate literally walked by us 3 times and did not even say hi to us. We were there for a half hour and finally left and purchased at another store. These sales people are not friendly or helpful. I guess you need to look like you're a millionaire to get any kind of attention here!!! read more
