This place is awful. The service is awful. Don't come here. Asked for some simple service and was just ignored. I don't know how this place exists treating their customers like this.

There is no onsite staff, so you need to make sure you've received your welcome email which contains the door codes to enter. The room was elegant, with very high ceilings, completely decorated in the victorian style with lovely antique furniture, photos, and decor (old oil lamps etc.). The decoration was completely tasteful and not cluttered. Each morning, there is hot coffee prepared in the sitting room, which has a large table, lots of board games, and some comfy couches and chairs to sit in. My partner and I had an easy time doing a few hours of work each day in this room. The internet was fast and reliable. The hotel is very private, with no front desk staff and very few other guests, but there is someone on hand via phone or text, and they are able to get to the hotel within a few minutes to help with anything you need! They use a great platform for managing the reservation, where you can very easily purchase a 1pm late check out (for $25) - that came in very handy when we realized in the morning that we weren't going to be ready to leave at 11am! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We arrived at just before 4 on a relatively warm Tuesday after battling the large trucks on I-5. Staff was competent and welcoming, and gave us detailed instructions on how to access our room. After situating ourselves, we took full advantage of the pool and subsequently, the hot tub. Feeling fully refreshed, we would have dinner in the separately reviewed on-site eatery, then go into town to enjoy our show. Sleep was effective, and we were refreshed for our next big drive. If the pool isn't sufficient for your needs, there is also tennis, and easy access to a pizza pub and coffee cart. Need a reason to return! Only regret is not taking any photos, which will be undone on that next visit.

We were put at the back of the property in a VERY tired room. I will attach pictures. The room looks like all of the furniture came overly used from a thrift store. The layout of the room doesn't make sense. The "kitchen" is very poor, no dishes, pots or pans, no dish soap. The bathroom is very poor, the shower didn't have much water pressure, it felt icky! The towels are thin and small. All of this and in the small print on a piece of paper in the room tells you they don't clean the room unless you stay for 3 days AND request they clean it. We made reservations for this hotel 1 1/2 months before we planned to stay there. We were going to go to plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. After we saw how poor the room was, we asked to move. There were not any other rooms available for the time we were there. We had stayed in another building at this hotel 4-5 years ago and it was nice. This is the reason we booked here again and we thought a "suite" would be great. It wasn't. We will never stay here again, so disappointing.

It is situated on I-5, surrounded by mountains on a very fertile area with a variety of agricultural products grown in this area and north of here. It is also the home of the renown Shakespeare Festival. The Ashland Creekside Inn offers beautifully themed suites (10 suites) with balconies next to Ashland Creek. It is a 5 minute walk to Central Ashland with a well manicured welcoming park with walking trails and local activities. We spent 3 nights in the Normandy Suite with a French motif: the imported French furnishings, the decor all tie in to make you feel like you could be in Normandy, France. Every morning you are treated to a gourmet breakfast. Yesterday we started with coffee and a carrot, turmeric smoothie, followed by a bowl of sliced strawberries with a small amount of simple syrup and goat cheese. Then we were treated to blue corn pancakes with pine nut butter and thick slices of bacon. What a way to start the day! We were on a long driving trip and decided to splurge…read more The not-so-good: For corporate management: Please don't nickel-and-dime your guests. On top of our $370 room rate, we were charged an additional $20 resort fee upon arrival. Yes, it is disclosed on the website, but we didn't notice it. Approximately only 6% of hotels charge resort fees and they are widely considered a deceptive price rip-off. We were also charged $5 per person for breakfast. Again, given the price of the room, it would be a much better customer experience to simply include breakfast in the room rate rather than adding another charge. We may have decided not to stay at $400 a night, but it would be honest pricing on behalf of the hotel. For the on-site management: There is also room for improvement in hospitality. The resort fee states, among other things, that "There is a $20 daily use fee which covers Afternoon Tea & Cookies." We checked in around 4:30 and went to enjoy the afternoon tea and cookies, which are advertised as being available from 3-5 p.m. There was no hot water at the tea station and only two cookies remaining. I asked the staff member there how there could be so little left at 4:30, especially since check-in begins at 4. I was told they could get more hot water, but that the amenity was primarily for guests staying more than one night. They did bring out more hot water, but no additional cookies or baked goods. Really? There was no backup supply? This was the only resort-fee amenity we tried to use, and unfortunately, we weren't able to enjoy it as advertised. Our second disappointment was the in-room tub, which ran out of hot water before it was even half full. A relaxing bath was one of the main reasons we chose to stay here, so that was particularly disappointing. The good: The grounds are lovely, the room was clean, and the property was very quiet. After experiencing two instances of things running out, I read some of the other online reviews and noticed that several guests mentioned breakfast running out as well. We therefore arrived right when breakfast started, and fortunately, it was good and there was plenty available throughout our breakfast. Overall, this could be a lovely splurge, but at around $400 for one night, I expected a little more attention to the details and a better overall hospitality experience.
