One of the blueberry specialty breakfast. Even the house made sausage had blueberries inside!

Not sure where to begin describing the Country Willows Inn and Estate in Ashland, OR. Very relaxing environment. Beautiful scenery in a hidden compound. fresh flowers everywhere, wildlife in the distance. Very calming environment. Three days flew by. We stayed here 3 nights during our Oregon travels wishing we could stay longer.

One of the best hidden gems in Ashland. Super clean cottages, cheerful staff, gourmet meals served on breakfast, lunch and dinner. The grounds are picturesque and well maintained with running stream and pond and friendly resident ducks and deer. Just minutes away from downtown Ashland. This is a great place to host your next family reunion!

This was perhaps the best experience I've ever had with staying somewhere. Everyone was so gracious and helpful. The property was absolutely beautiful with all the landscaping. A gorgeous Willow tree. Feeding ducks! A wonderful warm swimming pool. The most delicious breakfast ever! It started with cold peach soup with honey drizzle and fresh nutmeg! Then French toast which was made gluten-free for us, with warm peach compote. And Apple chicken sausages. So divine! It was pure luxury! And the owner (I've unfortunately forgotten her name) was super kind and super friendly! We will DEFINITELY be staying here again and again!! Whenever I come to Ashland it will be the only place I ever stay. I'm still dreaming and drooling over breakfast! Can't wait to go back! Thank you everyone for your hospitality and kindness! And thank you for making our stay wonderful and more disability-friendly.

AMAZING - the rooms, the food, the grounds! I can't wait to go again. Country Willows is so welcoming and comfortable. Linda and her staff made sure every detail of our stay was perfect.

This place is fabulous. Once you stay here it will be the only place you will want to stay in Ashland. This is our forth visit. We stayed in the Willow Room but all of the rooms are beautiful. The grounds are so nice with a swimming pool, nice deck with lots of seating and a big willow tree out front. The hosts, Dan and Kara are so sweet and attentive. Go on a diet before you come here though, as they make incredible breakfasts and you're gonna want to eat every single bit of it. Update: Came back again this year (2021) to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The food, hospitality and property are beyond reproach. I don't know of anywhere I'd rather stay.

This is an amazing place. Our room was perfect. The grounds are spectacular. The owners are professional and welcoming. The breakfast was gourmet, homemade everything and one of the best breakfasts I ever eaten in my life. What a gem of a place. We'll be back!

We loved our night at Country Willows in and stayed in the Willows room which had a very comfortable King bed. The pool was a refreshing surprise and we spent a long time there after a hot day. The breakfast was delicious. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. We also loved sitting on the balcony watching the deer over an early cup of coffee. We will be back. Thanks Kara for your great hospitality.

The grounds, water feature and pool.

My wife and I stayed at this cute inn on our way from San Francisco to Portland. The owners are extremely friendly and the accommodations are exceptional. Loved the ducks on the grounds and the breakfast felt more like a fine restaurant than a little inn. Highly recommend and we'll be back for sure!!

The table was set beautifully with a heavy linen tablecloth and sterling flatware. The 1883 Victorian mansion has been exquisitely restored & filled with lovely antiques. The service we received was warm and considerate. The various two pots were kept refilled with hot water and fresh water was poured for those who wished. This was so exquisite that we intend to check out their Christmas tea as well.

Don't even think about staying in Medford at a chain hotel or anywhere else in Ashland because the Bayberry Inn is the nicest bed and breakfast! Now if you're not feeling social, you can pay a tiny bit extra to have your breakfast served to you on a tray in your room. As a busy Mom, who seldom travels alone, when I come to Ashland I'm alone and getting my breakfast delivered to my room is AMAZING and the epitome of the ideal relaxing vacation having someone cook a gourmet meal for me and I get to eat it alone in my room! The breakfast is truly top notch delicious! I consider myself a 'foodie' who loves to eat and if the Bayberry Inn was a restaurant I would go there just for their breakfast - it's that good! Also, like I mentioned since I'm a female traveling alone I feel sooo safe staying at the Bayberry Inn as opposed to an impersonal hotel. The Bayberry Inn is located in the North part of Ashland and it is easily walkable to everything in town or there's plenty of free parking in the town you can drive too. The rooms are clean with all the comforts of home and they have personal AC and heater too to customize the room temperature to your comfort level which I appreciated! The owners, Jacqui and Billy, are super friendly and nice! They truly care about all their guests and want you have a fantastic stay. I will continue to stay at the Bayberry Inn every time I come to Ashland - which hopefully will be soon!

This was not disclosed during booking, even though we specifically informed them we were traveling with a dog. While pet fees are common, $100/night is frankly predatory. My fiance and I found the bed to be uncomfortable and extremely small. The room listed a queen bed. When my fiance asked if was actually a queen, the hotel staff was rude and dismissive. We finally measured the bed with a measuring tape and found that it was a 53" full bed, not a 60" queen - very difficult for two people to sleep in. The hotel staff refused to acknowledge their error, though they did eventually move us to a vacant room with a larger bed for our last night. However, they also charged me another $72.80 for this pleasure without telling me why. At no point did they apologize or offer any other compensation or offer to waive their unreasonable fees. Beyond this, the rooms were dingy and not what I would expect at this price point. Winchester does make a good (though not amazing) breakfast, but it is not worth dealing with low quality rooms, rude staff and predatory hidden fees.

It's owned by a woman named Lisa with long-standing ties in Ashland and other Oregon areas. For example, if you happen to visit the nearby South Stage Cellars for a wine tasting (which you absolutely should, but that's another review altogether), you'll see a mason jar on their wall that contains dirt from the property owned by Lisa's parents. Back at Lisa's B & B, however, things run at a relaxed but very tidy pace. Lisa cooks breakfast herself - she also serves coffee professionally roasted by her son - and leaves you to sit with your dining companion but occasionally comes by for conversation and sometimes with an extra waffle. She's very nice without being overbearing. There are a lot of charming decorations around the main lobby (see if you can count all the rabbit statues), but the big draw is the rooms. We stayed in the Othello Suite, and we had a much happier time than any of the characters from that play. The room is just lovely. There's an old, gorgeous writing desk facing the street side of the house, as well as a small love seat facing the desk. For those times that your beloved wants to gaze longingly at your back as you compose fervent sonnets, I suppose. The bed is large and really, really comfy. But the main attraction in this room as well as a couple other suites in the house is the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. Bath salts are provided - for sprinkling into your water, not for smoking - and you are free to zone out among the whirlpool flurries until 11 at night (because the jets make noise). There's even a cube cut into the wall next to the tub that things such as wine glasses can be placed in. Also pretty baller: The fireplace also serves the bathroom. "Othello" is about envy and the way it poisons thoughts. And you should be very, very jealous of the time I spent in the Othello Suite. But never fear, you should stay here, too!

(2 weeks later, she has begun to miraculously recover but is completely blind from the brain damage.) With great reluctance, we decided to cancel our trip - something I've never done before with a planned vacation. I emailed Alicia and asked whether she would consider partially refunding the cost of our stay (including $100 that we had paid in advance for breakfasts). She was completely unsympathetic to what has been the most heartbreaking situation in my adult life to date, cited needing to take care of her small business, and refused to refund us, even for the food we wouldn't be eating. Summer lodging in Ashland is incredibly busy and in high demand. I'm certain she was able to re-book at least some of those nights on extremely short notice. So Morical House doubled down on their revenue for those nights, and we incurred costs for a Bed & Breakfast (and extra costs for breakfast) at a place we wouldn't be using, on top of thousands of dollars of vet bills. Even our airline, with their rigid policies, was more forgiving than that. If we do make it up to Ashland later this summer, pre-baby, we won't be re-booking here.

Alicia runs a great B&B on grounds that is small enough to be considered cozy, but large enough that you aren't bumping into other guest all of the time. She does some really inventive (and delicious) food pairings, and is more than happy to accommodate any food restrictions. As an example, this morning's breakfast started with fresh figs topped with blue cheese, toasted almonds and touch of thyme. We usually stay in one of the downstairs rooms in the separate structure near the rear of the property. They come with an incredibly spacious bathroom, fireplace, small kitchenette area, and a window bench to curl up in. There's wifi and a TV, if you need to stay in touch with the outside world. Or, if you prefer, there's usually a small selection of books to read, should you just want to have a reading adventure.
