The rooms are pretty small and you can hear other rooms constantly but people were respectful and quite after sleeping hours so it wasn't a problem for us at all. Absolutely lovely, lovely little spot!! Rooms were clean and spacious, with a perfect mesh of vintage with modern updates. Private bath, lux robes and very nice bedding. Queen bed was great, and the place was very quiet. Enjoyed some late evening cookies and decaf. The 24/7 espresso/coffee machine (tea service also available) was easy to use and made a delicious cuppa. Conveniently located to everything and charming gardens. We were there out of season, but the grounds were still beautiful. The rooms are decorated with a local photographer's work - we bought the Narnia landscape - ask the host Brian for more info. breakfast was timely, healthy and tasty. We were referred to a site called stayashland.com because we wanted to stay in a cute little b&b. The photos and descriptions for Oak Hill b&b caught my attention so I called. To my surprise they had a room available and Brian was so nice on the phone. Our room, called Grizzly Peak was spacious and beautiful with a great view of, you guessed it, Grizzly Peak! The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were soft and comfy. There was a nice tub to soak in and super soft robes to lounge in after. They have a wonderful coffee machine that makes any gourmet coffee you would like 24/7. We had a delicious breakfast served and made by Brian. His wife Anna was away, helping their son move but Brian did a fantastic job. Next time we pass through Ashland we hope to stay there again and meet Anna. read more

Every time I travel I-5 South thru Ashland, I always stop at the Oak Hill Bed and Breakfast. The owners and hosts, Anna & Brian will make you feel like family. The rooms are airy, clean and quiet. The beds are very comfortable and the sheets very inviting. Anna with "Shotgun" Brian , are exquisite gourmet cooks who make the most simple ingredients blossom. I booked a couple rooms here for a girls trip that I had gifted my mom and aunt for their birthday. It was their first time staying in a bed and breakfast but now they are ruined for all other places because this was THE best B&B I have ever encountered! Anna and Brian were very welcoming and very accommodating. Anna had birthday cupcakes ready for us as a nice welcome for the birthday girls after I had mentioned that was the reason we were coming months earlier on the phone. They were amazing! The house is so cozy and we spent lots of time just hanging out in the patio relaxing and prepping for our next outing in Ashland. We also received a wonderful list of places to eat in advance which helped immensely. The breakfast every day was perfect! And we looked forward to it every morning. Along with the Jura coffeemaker experience which everyone needs to try! The location is perfect! 2 miles from downtown, and 5 minutes from the wineries! We have been staying at the Oak Hill since 2000 and consider it our home in Ashland. The Lithia Park room has been "ours" from the beginning. We've seen this inn go through countless changes and improvements, including the beginning of Anna and Brian's tenure as innkeepers in 2017. We are so happy to stay with them. Brian and Anna are amazing and are completely dedicated to making our stays the best they can possibly be. Our room is always beautifully kept, comfortable, and immaculately clean. Everything you might want is provided, from the comfortable mattress to cozy bathrobes and soft towels in the bathroom. Anna's breakfasts are creative, delicious, and almost too pretty to eat, and she is happy to create meals that conform to dietary restrictions. On our most recent stay, I had a special need or request every single day, and Anna gave me everything I asked for with both hands. This was the last of the B & Bs we stayed in during our honeymoon. The trip involved a lot of wine and Kleenex - because we both caught colds, not because spending a week alone together drove us to constant tears - and we were both quite tired and ready to be homeward bound by the time we rolled into Oak Hill Bed and Breakfast. Maybe I'll start referring to it as our Wineymoon. Lucky for us, there were no problems upon check-in or check-out. One of the owners, Pat, met us at the door and cheerily showed us around the lobby and dining area before leading us to our room. We had rented the Lilac Room, which has a single king-sized bed, a pretty awesome electric fireplace, and a spacious bathroom with a shower and no tub. As I mentioned before, the lack of a bathtub was not a problem for me at that point in our Wineymoon. We were both exhausted enough that we probably would have passed out and drowned in a tub, but if taking long relaxing baths is your vacation jam, then be advised that this room doesn't have that feature. Bed had a simple white sheet as a canopy. It wasn't the most comfortable one I had slept in during the trip, but I also suspect wine had something to do with that issue. Story of my life. The highlight was by far the breakfast portion of the stay. Pat pointed out her intended menu, but I think they allow for special requests if you ask about them with enough time. We had loads of good hot coffee, fruit, potato latkes, and paninis with eggs and bacon. It was all very good and we were too stuffed to finish it all. Tom, the other owner, came by the table and he, Pat, J-Bob, and I ended up just talking for about an hour while watching the finches in the yard. J-Bob and I excused ourselves after breakfast but promised to say goodbye before heading back to Portland, but our paths didn't cross again. Belated farewell and thank you for the hospitality, Pat and Tom! It's not right in the heart of downtown Ashland, but it's only about a mile away and a lovely place to stay. They even provide you blankets and coats to use during the outdoor plays during the Shakespeare Festival, which is a thoughtful touch. Come for your Wineymoon, whatever that may be! read more

This was our first trip to Ashland and boy what a grand time we had. We left the San Francisco Bay Area bright and early for what proved to be a splendid weekend on our Harley Davidson. Pat greeted us at the door upon our arrival, showed us around the house and lead us to our garden room. When we went back outside to grab the bags off of the bike she followed us to have a look at our iron stead. I was so impressed that she had offered us the use of their personal garage to keep the bike safe and warm. We were totally blown away. Let me tell you the best part of whole trip was the breakfast. From the fresh fruit plate, to the fresh baked muffins, followed by a wonderful egg dish. We were both stuffed by the final course. Did I mention the coffee? The coffee was delightful. Freshly ground and brewed to perfection. I didn't even miss not having my daily dosage of Starbucks. We were joined by four other couples whom had been coming to this B&B for many years. They all made us feel as like we had been friends for years. The conversations lasted well beyond the scheduled breakfast hours. Thank you Pat and Tom for an amazing weekend. This is a lovely B & B with a wonderful welcoming innkeeper. The rooms are cozy and nice and breakfast was great. Anne made sure that everyone had something delicious that met their dietary wants and needs. The location is quiet and off of the main drag, but it would be an easy bike ride to the theaters and shops (and there's a bike rental right across the street). We were only there one night on our way north, but we didn't want to leave and we can't wait to go back. read more

Some girlfriends and I spent one night at Oak Hill Bed and Breakfast. We were greeted by the friendly innkeepers Anna and Brian with homemade cookies, a wonderful espresso machine, and pleasant conversation. Our two rooms-- the Elizabethan and Grizzly Peak were spotlessly cleaned, newly updated and tastefully decorated. The Grizzly Peak room is upstairs and has a beautiful view of none other than Grizzly Peak. Large framed canvas photographs of the area decorate the wall and were taken by Brian, the innkeeper. The sheets were soooo very soft and we all slept well. Breakfast was delicious and the patio is quite pretty and inviting. Our only wish was to have been able to stay longer! read more

As visiting filmmakers in for the Ashland Independent Film Festival, we weren't quite sure what to expect from Oak Hill B&B, as the festival had arranged our accommodations. We were not disappointed. In fact, if we ever return to Ashland, we will demand to stay at Oak Hill again, as I can't imagine a cozier, friendlier or more inviting experience. What makes Oak Hill stand out has more to do with atmosphere and attitude than typical hotel amenities. The rooms are quaint, clean and comfortable, decorated with interesting artifacts (no depressing hotel art here). There are no TVs--which at first freaked me out--but I found that I didn't really miss having one. (Don't panic, they have WiFi.) There's also a lovely common room adorned with comfortable chairs and a wealth of newspapers and magazines. On the third night, we met some other folks staying at Oak Hill and spent the evening talking and drinking wine with them. And then we had breakfast with them in the morning. When was the last time you experienced that at a Holiday Inn? Pat and Tom, Oak Hill's proprietors, are great people who offered not only invaluable information about Ashland (especially concerning Ashland's world-renowned Shakespeare festival) but also engaged us in interesting conversation each morning. And then there's the food. Each morning, we were greeted with a tremendously satisfying breakfast expertly prepared by Pat. (The meals ranged from Belgian waffles to soufflé to egg white paninis.) We wanted to stay in Ashland another week just to sample more of Pat's cooking. If you're looking for a more personal experience when visiting Ashland, you couldn't ask for much better than Oak Hill B&B. read more

Oak Hill B and B is simply perfect. Kind and helpful host and hostess, attention to every detail and so comfortable and welcoming. My room was large and with a view of the hills. The breakfasts were a foodies delight and I enjoyed family art throughout the home. It is located close to town in a quiet leafy area. Pat and Tom live connected to the B+B so you can ask them anything. They are so very gracious and it is clear that they love people and want you to be happy. Individual room temps and gas fireplaces and a large living room with fresh goodies every pm and current magazines to enjoy. Bravo. I loved it. read more

Oak Hill is a gracious older home with a lovely garden and deck. Long-time proprietors Pat and Tom are Oregon Shakespeare Festival buffs. We often go to Ashland to visit the Festival, and it is such a treat to have breakfast with them and their other guests to debrief the plays and the gossip about the plays the next day. Pat serves up a lovely breakfast with fresh fruit and creative egg dishes, and we talk. Who were our favorite actors, why is OSF doing this play this season, what were the most amazing things about the play. One group last time I was there had been coming to Pat and Tom's for 10 years and always conducted their own personal "Oscars" following their last play. Pat and Tom live in the back of the house, so guests have the wonderful living room, back deck and garden to themselves. There's always coffee, tea, cucumber water, great cookies, Pat makes her own soaps named after local landmarks and personalities (Lake of the Woods, Cleopatra's Milk Bath). I'm so glad I discovered this place. What a relaxing way to visit Ashland and the Festival. read more
