Good location but the room was very disappointing. The room was old, dark, cluttered and just didn't feel clean. There was alot of cheap stuff mounted on the walls and alot of old furniture stuffed into the bedroom. The bathroom was tiny, the shower seemed made of plastic. The chairs, the desk, the nightstands, everything seemed cheaply made and stuffed into the dark room. I wouldn't stay there again. read more

Ashland Inn has stole my heart!! My Fiancé and I are always on the go & busy that this was so much needed. When I saw Ashland Inn, I had to tell my Fiancé about it. All the rooms here are unique. My Fiancé blessed me with the Copenhagen room. This room is so serene. You'll walk into the the kitchen which has a mini stove, fridge, & dish washer. To the left you'll have your bath. I'm obsessed with their huge jet tub!! As a mother & how busy my work schedule is, there's not a moment where I can just sink myself into a hot bubble bath. After that, you'll walk into the room with a queen size bed, a sofa, cutest fireplace, & t.v. My favorite thing out of this room are the ceilings! Wooden slats compliments the room so well!! The best part about this room is the deck that overlooks a koi pond. The sound of water is so calming. The views, it's so green! Breakfast is included which I suggest that no one misses. I literally woke up a hour early because I was just excited. Next to the Copenhagen room is the Lobby. Go through the double doors and voila, you'll be greeted by a handsome salt & pepper hair man (that's if you're lucky ). I can't remember the last time I had breakfast. Breakfast...I can't put into words how everything taste. It was heaven. It's not often you go somewhere & can taste a little love in the food you eat. Truffle hollandaise sauce over pouched eggs & smoke apple sausage, fruit salad, English muffin w/jam. MMM! I've saved the best for last. Remember the Salt & pepper hair man? That man is Graham, the Innkeeper. This intelligent man, was so pleasant to be around. If ever you need suggestions on where to go or eat, he is your person. Way overpriced - definitely not luxury as the website claims I rarely ever write reviews and certainly not negative ones. I am not writing this to harm nor degrade the owner's business, rather to warn prospective guests to lower their expectations prior to staying at this overpriced "inn". We stayed at Ashland Creek Inn for 3 nights last week (December) as a mini getaway. Wooed by the high reviews and claims of luxury accommodations, we decided a room rate of $325/night + taxes and fees would be worthwhile. We were expecting service and amenities on par with the Ritz Carlton, seeing as that a stay at the Ritz is in the same ballpark price-wise. Instead we were met with worn rugs and carpeting, tired decor, and lack of cleanliness and amenities. The cleanliness of the kitchen did not meet Covid standards set by other hotels we have stayed at this year. Upon arrival the countertop was already dirty and the silverware needed to be cleaned prior to use. The room was dust-filled and the robes were thin rather than plush as they should be for a price tag of $325+/night. Pros: The breakfasts were delicious. The location is convenient to downtown. The sound of the creek out the window is calming. Cons: Lack of cleanliness, thin robes, lack of service, lack of amenities, lack of attention to detail, worn rugs and furnishings that should be replaced, never heard from the innkeeper. This hotel should charge a maximum of $175/night. The current rate is grossly overpriced. A very disappointing experience. read more

This boutique inn in the heart of downtown Ashland created with the elegant taste of the owner, Graham, is exquisite. It overlooks beautiful Ashland Creek with its clear water tumbling over river rock. I particularly love the large deck overlooking the creek where you can choose to have your morning breakfast. The negative ions are uplifting. Each suite is exquisitely decorated with gorgeous antiques from various countries and time periods. This inn is a feast for the eyes. Add to all this beauty the elegant creations of cordon Bleu-trained Executive Chef Jasmine Turk-Bly and you are in Heaven. One of my favorite breakfasts is her baked eggs with fresh herbs and three cheeses. Ooh-la-la! Her fruit first course of poached pear is the best I have ever tasted. The breakast salad completely blew me away, however. It was comprised of delicately chopped fresh herbs, a thinly sliced apple, and baby greens in the most delectable vinaigrette. We were resuming our visit to the Shakespeare Festival after the 2 year Covid hiatis and I wanted a place to stay that did not have large indoor shared spaces (lobby, hallways, eating areas, etc). I discovered this boutique inn that offered Contactless Checkin, outdoor breakfast area, and separate street entrances for most of the suites. Each room is themed after a different location on the globe, a balcony overlooking the creek and an air purifier. Beautiful accomodations, and amazing breakfasts served outdoors next to the creek. Most days we did not feel the need to eat lunch the breakfasts were so filling. An easy walk to theaters, restaurants and shops. read more

The only complaint I have ever had was their Wi-Fi was rather slow, that has been corrected and now it works great. read more

After reviewing the available rooms, rates and guaranteeing me a room with staff over the phone, the inn keeper then decided 7pm was his bedtime so he wouldn't come to check me in!!! I can't believe I haven't written this review yet! My husband and I stayed at the Ashland Creek Inn on our way down to California in January 2010. We needed a pet-friendly place but also wanted a place with some ambiance. The Ashland Creek Inn is a smaller place consisting of 10 suites on two levels right next to Ashland Creek. Each suite has a different theme and they are tastefully decorated; the themes aren't kitschy or tacky. We stayed in the Copenhagen room which had a sitting area with a gas fireplace, a porch that overlooked a koi pond, and a small kitchen with a dining table. The bed was very comfortable! The Inn asks that you call if you plan to arrive later than 4:00pm to be sure someone is there to let you in. We knew we would be arriving late in the evening, close to 10pm, and the owner was super accommodating. Location: the Inn is away from the freeway and off the main street so the rooms are very quiet. However, it is close enough to downtown to be able to walk there. Breakfast: This might be my favorite part of our stay. The Inn keeper is an amazing chef! In addition to the normal coffee and orange juice, breakfast included a hand-made fruit smoothie, a melon dish with a sweet vinegar reduction and an amazing egg dish served in individual ramekins. The fact that I remember that much a year later speaks to how good the food was. Since it was winter breakfast was served indoors but I believe they serve it on the gorgeous deck that is above the creek in the summer time. (That deck would make a beautiful place for a wedding reception.) If you are going to be in Ashland overnight, especially in the winter, check this place out. Graham and his staff were so accommodating and the morning fare was superb. The accommodations were well appointed and very comfortable. It felt like home! 5 stars for the breakfast and 3 stars for the room (Sienna). The best first -- the chef (adorable, friendly and self-taught) prepared one of the best breakfasts I've had. Started with freshly ground decaf coffee and a 3 berry and yogurt smoothie. Then a bowl of fresh fruit with minced mint. Then, a very simple, but extremely fresh, flavorful and well-prepared version of eggs benedict. 2 soft poached eggs sitting on 2 pieces of perfectly crisp (not greasy) pieces of bacon, both over delightfully light and crisp english muffins. Over the top was one of the best (light and flavorful) hollandaise sauces and a dusting of roasted red pepper dice and fresh herbs. The room was fine but quite odd -- it's like they skimped on updating the room but splurged on such items as dishes (Mamma Ro!). The antique furniture is nice but is mixed with cheap furnishings that don't really go well together. The whirlpool tub and sink/vanity are in the bedroom (not in a separate room), which I don't care for. The bathroom is very small and cheaply updated. The shower wasn't clean ... there were dark little curlies on the shower walls ... yuk! The bed is soft and a bit bouncy (needs replacing in my view) and the sleeping pillows are not feather and are flat. The pillows in the decorative shams are feather, so I took them out and put the pillow cases on them. In the middle of the night I was awakened by a rhythmic clicking noise -- it wasn't the heating/cooling unit as it was turned off -- it was so loud that I couldn't get back to sleep so I put the two loveseats in the other room together and slept out there (good thing I'm short!). I opened the door (screened) so I could listen to the creek -- very nice. I had the fireplace on most of the night and was surprised at how hot the wall and cubby which holds the TV and DVD player get ... surely it can't be good for either electronic to get so hot. For the price, it would have been nice to have had some bottled water in the room (either complimentary or for a fee). We typically stay at the Weasku Inn in Grants Pass when driving from Seattle to Napa Valley, but I'd stay here again, if only for the breakfast! read more

I cannot write enough compliments to Graham and his staff about this place! We stayed in the Copenhagen room last night, on our way home to Modesto, CA from Seattle WA. It's off season, so we were not expecting the attention most guests would experience during the theater, but we were greatly surprised. (We were also traveling with our dog, who costs us a measly $20 extra. The price for the room, view and food is very reasonable!) I called at 4:30pm, letting them know we got held in traffic and it would still be a while before we arrived. They put our keys in a lock box, and had our lights turned on so we were not walking into a dark room at night. (Thanks!) Tea pot was ready to go, so we kicked the fireplace on and drew a bath in the awesome tub with jets. The view out the back patio? Breathtaking! A little koi pond, and trees, trees, trees. The next morning our three course breakfast included a peach and strawberry smoothie, melon with a sesame lime vinaigrette, poached eggs with a red pepper cream sauce, grilled potatoes and avocado with mango salsa. (Of course with coffee, tea and juice.) Breakfast was over by 9:30am, so we took our furkid out for a walk. Not many stores were open yet, but the city is all adorned for Christmas, and it was beautiful anyway. We talked to a few people out and about, everyone seems very friendly, and then stopped for a second breakfast (yes, I'm part hobbit) at the local Starbucks. We checked out by 11am. Our only regret is not staying longer. Next year we're stopping for more than one night. 5 stars all around Ashland Creek Inn! read more

We've been coming to the Ashland Creek Inn every summer for 10 years now, and we always feel like we've arrived in paradise. We've stayed in several of the suites, and especially love leaving our windows open at night to listen to the rushing creek outside. We stay here every year. It's just a couple of blocks from the theaters and downtown area, and situated right on the creek. Each room is decorated with a theme from a place in the world - Italy, China, Southwest US, etc. - with imported, often antique furnishings . Technically it's a B&B, but the rooms are very separated, with kitchenettes, and at breakfast (served out on the patio weather permitting) each party has their own table, not shared. I don't mind meeting other people, but I find it awkward to be seated with strangers, so I like having our own table. Unlike other more traditional B&Bs in Ashland, there are modern conveniences like TV, DVD/CD players, wireless internet, etc. Cookies, tea and wine are available in the afternoons in the lobby - a nice treat after walking around town or seeing a matinee. The innkeeper Graham and his staff are always friendly and helpful. Sure, it's kind of pricey if you just need a basic place to stay. But during the theater season in Ashland, a bland box hotel like the Best Western is way overpriced. I would rather pay a little more and get the full experience of the Ashland Creek Inn. read more

This was absolutely the most unique hotel I have ever stayed in. I can't say enough about how wonderful Graham and his staff are. This is home away from home when we come to Ashland. We have stayed here for about 10 years now. All the rooms are uniquely decorated, spacious and beautiful; the level of detail always amazes us (we've stayed in 8 out of 10 suites). Marrakech is my favorite, it's like waking up each morning in Morocco (and I've had the good fortune to have traveled there). The location is perfect, within walking distance of everything and parking is never a problem, as they have their own parking lot. The attention to cleanliness has always been bar none. The breakfasts continue to be the best breakfast we have ever eaten anywhere, though unfortunately they have discontinued there served breakfast each morning due to Covid-19. We recently stayed for 4 nights and the breakfast that they provided each afternoon for us to enjoy the next morning was always a gourmet concoction. A couple of mornings it was warm enough that we were able to eat breakfast out on our deck. The sound of the creek while falling asleep always sends the both of us into the deepest of sleeps. My husband and I splurge a couple of times a year and are always rewarded by the end of our stay with a renewed sense of relaxation. Ashland Creek Inn is a total gem and I highly recommend it. read more

I have traveled all over the world and this is one of the best Inns ever! The Devon suite is situated on a little creek and when you open the door, you experience the soothing water sounds. The breakfast was fabulous. It consisted of a fruit smoothie, a mango cup (the best ever!) and a French toast soufflé with a berry compote and a veggie sausage on the side. Incredibly yummy. My sister and brother in law have stayed here several times; they tried several other places in Ashland and we agree with them; this is THE place to stay! read more

The rooms are well organized and clean, there is a small but very quaint deck, and it has a relaxed ambiance. The only problem is the wifi. We can rarely connect to the wifi, and on the rare occasions that we can connect, the wifi is incredibly slow, and disconnects quickly. This is disappointing as the room was advertised as having free high speed internet. The location is excellent. The inn is tucked just two blocks off of Main Street, which makes for an easy commute without the traffic noise. read more

WHERE DO I START ? Talk about a top notch experience ! Prepare to be delighted. Jeffery was just a delight and he made us feel welcome right off the bat. Our room was comfortable and very clean. It was a beautiful Italian decorated space with a jacuzzi tub. Perfect for a relaxing Anniversary weekend. When we arrived, there were fresh cookies waiting for us in our room. Because my partner was allergic to one of the ingredients, Jeffery went and got her something else as a treat. We were pleasantly surprised to be located so close to the beautiful downtown and all the Shakespeare Festival events. It was a quick walk back to our room after our evening play. Breakfast was over the top. It was a fine dining experience! We found ourselves wanting to stay more at the Inn than wandering around town. The property is so beautiful and relaxing. We sat in the lounge chairs next to the creek and read. It was so quiet and peaceful, you'd have thought we had the whole place to ourselves. Back up at our room, we found another plate of cookies when the room service fluffed up everything ! What a tasty surprise. The staff were helpful and courteous at every turn. Old fashioned hospitality was the norm here. After our second beautiful and tasty breakfast, we were sad to be leaving one of our most relaxing experiences ever. We highly recommend the Ashland Creek Inn, in Ashland Oregon. The Inn is owned and operated by Graham, who is on site everyday, there to greet you in the morning, serve you coffee and breakfast and to share ideas and insights into the city of Ashland, the theater and other entertainment venues. He is very welcoming as is all the staff. Maria is very helpful and gracious, giving of her time very generously. The breakfast (included) is amazing, the smoothies, the fresh fruit compotes, the hot breakfast is wonderful, we enjoyed it very much. Our room, the Copenhagen room, was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the use of the kitchen, with a two burner stove, dishwasher, and a fully stocked supply of dishes, pots and pans, toaster, coffee maker and a larger than usual refrigerator. The setting for the Inn, only ten suites, is on the creek, shaded by lovely mature trees, you can enjoy private time on your own deck, or use the garden and large deck all with the sound of the gurgling creek and lovely trees all around. We enjoyed a bottle of wine on the deck, it was sublime. We toured many of the suites with Maria and we can tell you that they are all lovely and each is unique, representing a different culture from around the world. How will I ever go back to staying at a different place in Ashland? I have traveled all over Europe, Central and South America, Canada and the U.S. and I have to say that this is one of the best inns I have ever stayed in. I'll start with the staff, who are very helpful and pleasant, and Graham is a delight! Contrary to a previous reviewer, we thought that the Siena room was fantastic. The decor was beautiful, from the gorgeous art on the walls to the Italian pottery and dishes, the sitting room 's small couches and the Italian bedding. The huge jacuzzi tub was a bonus as were the photo books of Italy. The breakfasts (we had three) were all delicious and so tastefully presented. And having a semi- private entrance was nice as it added to our privacy, and a little deck to sit on and listen to the creek running was so relaxing. Just spent 3 nights here with my honey. This is the best place to stay in Ashland that I've come across. The rooms are all unique and excellently decorated. The views over the creek and gardens are sublime and put me into an excellent state of mind. I can't say enough about the breakfasts! Everyday is something different, scrumptious, and pleasing to the eye. We skipped lunch each day as the breakfast was so filling and nutricious. This is a value for the money! The suites were very beautiful and personalized. The view led towards a river, that you could here throughout the night, and a small fountain. The space in our room, Matsu, was a little tight but that was only because we had five people. However, it was still very cozy. Breakfast was exquisite and delicious.
