I recently stayed two nights at the Coolidge House, and I have to say that it is one of the nicest B&B's I've ever stayed at. Before breakfast at 9:00am, I usually had coffee out on the front porch enjoying the quiet view and watching deer grazing in the front and side yards. Each morning at 9:00am, Jordan served an absolutely delicious gourmet breakfast all made from scratch Chef Jordan! Additionally, Jordan was a wonderful host whom we had intelligent and enjoyable discussions with while sipping wine on the backyard patio. I definitely plan to stay at the Coolidge House anytime I am in Ashland. read more

We found this B&B online and it looked promising. We found it to be much more than that. Our room - we stayed in the Grape Arbor Cottage - was clean and comfortable. Breakfasts on the patio were delicious and conversations with the host and other guests were stimulating. It was an easy walk to the downtown areas and to the Shakespeare Festival venues. Our host Jordan was very welcoming and very friendly, without being intrusive. Oh, and he is an excellent cook! After a rough week at home, this was the perfect place to relax and wind down. I wish we could have stayed longer ... maybe next time! We will be back. read more

Exceptional in every way. The host's conviviality sets the tone for how houseguests interact with each other - - not just courteously, but warmly. The subject matter is the theater, which place we have seen and my thoughts about them. There are mostly repeat visitors. Breakfasts are personally suited, because if you have a special request, like you want eggs without cheese, or don't want that bagel, fine. These meals range from simple to complicated, with a toasted nut French toast and waffles. There are many rooms to choose from. The Rose room which faces the main drag has its own porch, one of the smaller rooms. The dickens room, upstairs, has a king bed and also a large bathroom area. The garden room is on the main floor and faces the courtyard, and has two separate beds. The parlor room, on the main floor, faces the front. The arbor cottage has a "kitchenette", which consists of a fridge, microwave, and sink, in addition to a separate room with an eating area and TV and a foldout couch. The sunroom is an entire floor on top of the hosts apartment. Like the arbor cottage, and it consists of two rooms, and main bedroom with a king size bed and large bath with Jacuzzi, and then the sitting room with a TV and a foldout couch: there is also also a walk-in closet with refrigerator. read more

We recently spent 3 nights at the Coolidge House. What a nice, clean and well appointed B&B. The owner, Jordan, was an amazing host. Besides sleeping in a great comfortable room, every morning we had a phenomenal breakfast. I asked Jordan if he had gone to Chef school since everything was delicious and served like a top chef. In the afternoons, the main parlor had warm homemade cookies, wine, ice tea and water. We were surprised every morning with a great breakfast, coffee and juice. We found out that some of the guests who were also visiting frequent this B&B once or twice a year and have been coming to this same place for the past 20 yrs! What does that tell you about this B&B owner? We were so spoiled we were sad to leave. The proximity of this B&B to downtown Ashland is walking distance. We are definitely going to return and hopefully come back two times a year. Thanks Jordan for everything. We can't wait to go back. read more

!!! I was a little apprehensive to stay here, because first i am a huge baby and i was like "this place looks old" and OLD = GHOSTS. Rest assured fellow babies, this place is definitely not haunted and nobody will eat you in the middle of the night. I brought my faithful ETA Chance and my lovely partner with me as back up, regardless. But seriously this place is fantastic and we had a really good home cooked meal in the morning. Jordan was pleasant and obviously a master chef. Just a little word of warning if you have any allergies (me i'm severely allergic to nuts) be sure to tell him when you check in so you can continue to live in the morning come breakfast. 10/10, will probably always stay here now when we're making the long drive from Portland to Los Angeles. Good times at the Coolidge house! Decided to stay in Ashland spur of the moment and found this place by driving by. Jordan was a great host! Wine, cheese and crackers and homemade cookies as we arrived around 4:00. Jordan offered to help us with dinner or theater reservations. We stayed in the parlor suite which was the only room available. Not bad there was a huge jacuzzi tub and beautiful seating area in the room. The downside of this room is that it is facing the main street and you can hear the traffic until about midnight. Also people coming in and out from the B & B used the front door located right next to our room. Not the quietest room I have stayed in. The breakfast was insane! Homemade blueberry coconut muffins, fresh fruit and juice, coffee and tea. Polenta, mushroom, egg combination was incredible! We had breakfast with the nicest folks visiting from Portland. Cozy place maybe one of the back rooms would have been a better choice! More food than I have ever experienced at any other B & B. read more

Absolutely PERFECT. I stayed here for 3 days with a friend in the Sun Suite. Jordan is the best host! The pictures do not do proper justice - this place offers much more than you will see on line! The room was very clean and comfortable! The sitting room gave us the feeling of staying at a house, the quiet made us feel miles from town! The bed was probably the most comfortable I've ever experienced outside of my own home. Breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was plenty. We came back from wandering about to tea and cookies in the room, which made my day. I can not recommend this place highly enough, and look forward to returning soon. I've stayed at many B&B's throughout California, but none compare to the great service, comfort, and warmth of this one! read more

This is the ideal to which all other B&B's should aspire. Spotless. Charming. Friendly guests. Warm and friendly host/manager. One short walkable block from town. Sweet wallpaper in the bedrooms. Warning! If you are handicapped and traveling with your service dog you are NOT welcome here! The owner never had the decency to return my phone call as promised. It was obvious he didn't want our business only AFTER I told him we were traveling with my service dog. I have never been denied access to a B&B before and it was a very hurtful experience to be treated like a 2nd class citizen. You can't judge a B&B by it's cover, it might be pretty on first sight but the people that run it can make it very ugly and uninviting. We did find a lovely B&B (also no pets) that was truly happy to accomodate us...not as fancy mind you but Christian. You decide what's more important the furniture or the karma. read more

We came up to Ashland for the film festival and were given a room in this B and B. Weren't sure what to expect. Couldn't have imagined a more warm and hospitable place. Jordan, the owner, has created a very warm and comfortable environment. The rooms are clean and cozy. But what makes his spot so good is the incredible breakfasts. In the four days we were there, we were served incredible omelets, croissant french toast, insanely good waffles. It was truly an cut above any hotel restaurant we have experienced. And lots of fun... highly recommended. read more

I recently stayed here for two nights with my sister and a last minute girls-getaway. It was one of the only B&B's with a room still available... I have no idea why!! This place was fantastic!! To start, Jordan was quick to help us to our beautiful room (the Rose room). He answered all of our questions and offered to make reservations and look into show tickets for us. Breakfast was different and amazing each morning and the coffee was very plentiful. The ladies who help make and serve breakfast were sweet. It was a joy to talk to the other guests over breakfast in the garden each morning. My sister and I spent one evening on the front porch playing Scrabble, watching the deer walk back and forth across the lawn. It was so beautiful. I am looking forward to going back to Ashland soon and, when I do, I'm looking forward to staying at the Coolidge House! read more

The inviting living room is a great place to read. Guests bustle in and out and talk about the plays they've seen or the wineries they've visited, and the owner is very attentive but unobtrusive. If you're not feeling extraverted, the rooms are comfortable retreats, but if you enjoy hearing about, or discussing theater, this place is a great choice, whether you travel alone or in a group. read more

Carolyn Simmons The Coolidge Bed and Breakfast was an absolutely wonderful place to stay. Jordan took my reservation on short notice and it was cold and rainy. .So the lovely old Victorian house was very warm and inviting. It is beautifully decorated and furnished in antiques and was very comfortable. Jordan was a very gracious host and cooked a healthy and delicious breakfast. He makes the best smoothie I have ever had. I took an early morning walk down town through a beautiful city park. Unfortunately, we were only able to stay one night and did not have the opportunity to attend the Shakespear Festival going on in the city at that time. Therefore we did not get to see much of the city so this will give me a very good reason to return and stay once again at the Coolidge House. read more

I used to think I didn't like bed and breakfast inns. I was wrong. The Coolidge BnB is super clean, charming, and comfortable. The location is ideal, just a few minutes walking distance from the shopping/theater areas in Ashland. Jordan is a wonderful host, serving gourmet breakfasts. read more

A great place to stay while attending the Theater. Its got alot of charm, wonderful attention to maintaining the detail and historic nature of the house, but with all the modern conveniences. The owner was most attentive to our needs. Breakfast was wonderful! We've stayed at many B&Bs in Ashland--and honestly we have yet to be disappointed. My boyfriend and I stayed here last February in the Grape Arbor Cottage for some theater and we LOVED it. I can't speak for all of the rooms, however the little cottage we stayed in is right behind the house and truly felt like a home away from home, it was that cozy. Deep claw foot tub, double headed shower, unimaginably comfortable bed, the kitchenette was perfect for the two of us (Jordan even told us to leave the dirty dishes upon checkout) and the furniture in the living room space was wonderfully comfortable. Plus, the breakfasts that everyone keeps mentioning are AMAZING. Generous portions, healthy and absolutely delicious! Truly, Jordan is a wonderful host and very conscientious without being overbearing. I think the pictures are a bit outdated as they seem to have been done before some updates were made and definitely don't do the place justice. We're going back in April for the OSF and I made sure to book at the Coolidge House again! read more

The host was a most genial fellow., the rooms were beautifully decorated, the breakfasts were home cooked and amazing, better than a restaurant and we could walk to everything in town.
