Gotta love when its 5pm on a Friday and your engine shuts off in rush hour traffic. LUCKILY AAA…read morecame running to our rescue, despite being understaffed and super busy themselves. Our tow driver was very nice, patient and even got us laughing during a stressful situation. The guy working at the shop was very accommodating and told us up front they wouldn't be able to give us a fill diagnostic till after the weekend. Honesty up front is always appreciated even if its something bad. We'll probably have to get another tow to a different auto shop due to timing + services available but if we ever find ourselves in a situation, glad to know we have AAA there to help.

Should that be your bag and that's what you search for, there's AAA of Asheville to satiate your quest for dealing with imbeciles. I'll go a step further, ask for Michelle -- she'll really annoy the shit out of you. First, I was told, after going through 20 minutes of robot calls etc., that it would be a $65 fee for a roadside assistance request in the first 24 hours. I was told it was in my confirmation email "in fine print." That's just a plain lie. It's nowhere to be found, and if a 39 year old tech-savvy person like myself can't find it, that means it's designed to be hidden to screw people over. This is deceptive business practices at its finest. Don't go to these people. There's bound to be another roadside assistance option.

Highly recommend this shop. My car broke down the morning of my flight. I explained the situation…read moreand they got to work right away. They diagnosed the problem and had the car fixed and running great within hours. Will absolutely be coming back here for any car trouble in the future.

So the shits been scraping the ground. This past Friday I take my car to Firestone in Huntersville to get it fixed along with a few other things. Unbeknownst to me until I hit a bump on the way to Asheville for my birthday weekend , the shit is still hanging and scraping the road as I drive. Fast forward to today. I call Coxe this morning. They're crazy busy so I don't have any expectations. I call my husband to see if his friend who owns a shop about 45 min away can get it done. He can. I dont wanna have to drive out there just yet so I bring my car to Coxe like they advised. As Cat mentioned before it may take a minute to get to my car. It's all good. I'm waiting for only 2 min or less and Cat at the front desk told me they'll get to my car real soon once a lift opens. In literally less than 6 min my car is in the back. Wow! Also waiting in the lobby and the other lady is vacuuming asking me if she's disturbing me. Just friendliness and kindness all around. Then Aaron comes out and tells me that the front piece was being held up by zip ties. Thanks Firestone! Rather than telling me they need to order the parts from Honda like Aaron said, they pieced my shit together for it to just come down. Firestone in Huntersville did me dirty. I'm leaving a review there too. Aaron gave me the piece that was hanging down. Gave me the ONE screw that was there out of like 8 or so that I needed. AND THEY DIDN'T CHARGE ME!!! Thank you thank you thank you so much Kat and Aaron!!! If I ever need work done and have a visit coming up for Asheville, I'll just take my car here. I mean I love Asheville cause most everyone I encounter here are polite and kind, but this is some next level shit for me as a Black Woman. I'm typically on guard to ensure I'm not taken advantage of. Literally Aaron and Kat put me at ease.

I brought my Scion in for a coolant hose repair, quoted at '$100 or less.' During the phone…read moreconsultation, they mentioned additional repairs were needed (spark plugs and coil), specifically referencing 'since you like to do these things yourself' - which reasonably implied this was information for future self-repair. I specifically authorized only the hose repair and diagnostic testing. They texted that my car was ready with a total bill of $407.67, including $262+ for unauthorized spark plug and coil replacements. When questioned via text (screenshots attached), they offered to remove the new parts and charge only for the authorized work ($127.33). While I appreciate this resolution and them working me in on short notice, upon arrival they informed me they would no longer work on my vehicle - simply because I questioned unauthorized repairs. Additionally, they damaged my engine cover by overtightening it with a power tool, making future self-repairs more difficult when I go in to change the spark plugs and coils myself. 1 star for making the billing right when questioned, but cannot recommend a shop that performs unauthorized repairs, damages components, and then refuses future service when professionally questioned about it. Clear communication, proper care of components, and customer authorization should be standard practice.
