He spent a lot of time chatting on the phone with the their insurance company. Along with making sure to let me know what was needed. I also witnessed him with all of the other commuters as well, and he was so warm welcoming and friendly to all of the customers!! All the work done on the vehicle was smooth and easy. The vehicle is driving smoothly. They performed all of the maintenance that was needed on top of receiving a free oil change for one small mistake that they made. I went in for a tire balance and rotation which they said they could get me in quick for. Definitely had to wait over 2 hours- which is pretty long for that service. Once my car was complete, and I paid and left, I noticed my car wasn't driving well and was shakey. Took it back and had the manager ride around with me to feel it. Turns out I needed a new tire and it was apparently warped. They didn't catch that but then apologized for missing it. Def made me loose trust in going in the future, but that staff was friendly. I asked for a refund on the rotation bc I had them put it back the way it was- and they refunded me. Not sure if I'd go back for anything more serious than an oil change. I bought a truck from Carvana with part of the engine missing. The check engine light came on within a couple days after purchase and took it to their in-network repair shop in Texas which is Firestone. They did a small repair and turned off the check engine light. That was covered in the limited warranty from Carvana. I moved to North Carolina and the check engine light came on again after a month. Thank you to the Firestone in Asheville for figuring out the real problem and letting me know the Firestone in Texas misdiagnosed the real problem. I am now outside the warranty for this repair. I was informed it will be reviewed with the manager the next day to get the repair covered by the other Firestone store due to the misdiagnoses. The manager here in Asheville reached out after a couple days and explained that they won't cover it or help facilitate the communication between stores. He said Firestone's believes the customer should have to do the work in these situations. That's where I am. I'm hoping there is a helpful resolution so I can update my review. read more

I went here to get my car checked because it was having trouble accelerating. The technician was very rude when I didn't immediately want to pay $1000+ for services they recommended and wanted to double check with my family on our plan of action-- the technician (Tim) came in and threw my keys down and said "I'm not working on this car, I already pulled it around". This ensured we did NOT want any services done by someone who would throw a fit over us simply trying to figure out the best course of action. I am in my early twenties and always refer to family before big financial decisions and apparently this was too much for the technician (Tim). I live in ID, I flew into Ashville to buy an rv, it needed 2 back tires, I wanted ones like the ones I had, I had John take a look at them. He looked them up and the had the Transforce HT2 10 plus in stock. Called John the next day to set up to come in but he said he was just helping out that store. When I got there a gal really lacking much personality and helpfulness, put the info from quote I had in the system and told me she had no idea she. they will get to them. I let her know I'm head to Lake Erie and really need to get on the road soon. Came back hr later and they were done, go to pay for them, the put that brand on but different trim. CT 21 or some lower number, not HT2 R112s! He, forgot his name, said they put ALL ProMaster highroof vans in these! I said I asked specifically for the other tires I don't care what you put on ALL! I asked what the difference was there in the 2, he could not tell me, he rolled out 2 tires one was the tire they Should of put on and the others but that tire size was not all the same as they put on! The tread on one wanted was a lot more then the other. Asked if he could look up the differenc, he said he didn't have time for this and WILL Just put the tires you wanted on, in a huff he left. An hour later tires done. Get up the road 20-30 min and low tire indicator light on, and started flashing which means multiple tire! Called that location and had him check if this set of tires he sired up, cause the tech told me 1st he fix. The guy said he filled them, felt he was not telling the truth I drove on. Got a tire guayule, drove 5 hrs and stayed over in Oak Hill, VA. When I was leaving town I saw 2 officer cars pulled over at the school complex, they were so helpful! Had a portable air compresso, my left tire was at 50, other 35, when there suppose to be at 80!!!!! Guy there blandly lied, and tech was pissed he had to put another set on when he was so backed up! The fact I didn't like the other tires was not the issue, they were not the ones I asked for they were not as good and had shared with him you know it is suppose to be what the customer wants, not you switching tires! Made an appointment that was supposed to be under my name, but it was my husband's - a simple inquiry would have solved the issue very fast, but when I walked in the receptionist, Patrick, IMMEDIATELY wrote me off when I told him my car model and that I was here to have 2 tires replaced. He asked me if I was able to drop it off, I said the appointment was made 3 days ago by MY HUSBAND and noted I needed the car back within 2 hours. Patrick just said he can't do it. I said what do you mean you can't I have an appointment? And he said oh well then maybe we can. Asked for my name which should have been in there, but they put my husbands name instead even though on the phone with them prior to this we both were telling them my name and to put it in my name - they didn't. I told Patrick, another guy, Fernando, was there on Saturday and we made the appointment with him so I asked for him and he told me he wasn't working that day. I called my husband, who was on speaker phone again telling them the same information I was and I said Patrick is telling me he doesn't have the tires NOR an appointment for me. Patrick quickly responded, "I didn't say I don't have the tires..." OKAY??? SO THEN I WASN'T CRAZY. He then said he'd have to look at my car to see if the tires match and check IF the tires were there, so he leaves and in comes...Fernando! (who wasn't working today according to Patrick). I said hey, made this appointment my husband was here Saturday blah blah and he said yea immediately pulls up the open ticket for it with all the info and said my husbands name. Then the other guy comes back and it is communicated that there is an appointment under my husbands name, which again, he COULD have asked me what his name is but LITERALLY did nothing to help me except try and make me seem like I was crazy, which he also told me during the hour and a half that I sat there. Then has the nerve to say "well if YOU would have given me the right name... we would have been able to find the appointment." So they take me keys and as if I wasn't already dissatisfied with their organization and customer service, Fernando has the nerve to tell me, "You need to smile more." I walked away and then I turned around and told him don't you dare tell me to smile - you both were rude and that's completely disrespectful. You're lucky Firestone - if I wasn't desperate and in a pinch for time I would have GLADLY taken my $700 somewhere else just so I didn't have to deal with the sexist and rude men working for your shop. EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED AND NOT HAPPY. Oh and then they asked me where I wanted the tires? I said what do you mean, I have one that is unrepairable, and then the other should go with that - isn't there a protocol. The alternator went on my 2011 Kia Sorento on a Friday. Not many places were open on Saturday, so I had it towed it to Meineke. Big Mistake! First off, I have to say that the office manager Mark and the mechanic, Tony, did their jobs very well. Even though I made a mistake and made an appointment for Monday, he took it on Saturday. The problem I have is what Meinekie charged me. Here is the estimate, that then became the bill. Judge for your self, but I think that nearly $900 to replace an alternator is outrageous. $104 for testing, $514 in labor, $45 in office supplies, for a total $876...to replace an alternator. They charge me for 3 hours of work and it took less than 1.5 hours. I know, I was there at 2:30 when they started and picked it up at 4:00. Mark said he couldn't do anything about it. Tony tried to tell me that the testing fees were because he bought his own $15,000 OBD tester. I asked him if they give him that $106 dollars. They don't. When I told Mark that I was going to leave a bad review of Meineke, he said that I would only be hurting his family because he gets paid more if their shop does better. I asked him if it was a commission. He said no. I asked him if he gets a bonus, he said I could call it that. The bottom line is that Meineke charges exorbitant fees for what they do. On the good side, I did get the car back the same day. Now I just have to hope the work was good. BTW: Mark said that I if thought it was too much, I could have taken it somewhere else. Unfortunately I already had to tow it there, it was in their shop and it was Saturday afternoon. They had me hooked. Don't go to Meineke if you can help it. read more

I got towed there less than an hour before closing and they assured me they could have it done before they went home. My wife's car has been making some funny brake noises for a while, but in the period of one night, those noises went from funny to concerning. What was a wub wub became a geearrr graack, and bringing the car to a stop became a fully body exercise while you pumped the brake pedal with all your might. I needed to borrow her vehicle for a performance the following day and I knew there was no way our standard mechanic would be able to look at our vehicle and make the necessary repairs in such a short period of time. Firestone is located close to our house so my wife drove it over. We received the run down of the diagnostic within an hour, and given an option of what we wanted to take care of. We selected the whole boat, which was a pretty chunk of change. So much so that I started looking around online for coupons. Lo and behold, they exist! I called the shop and explained I had found an online coupon and they were happy to accept it over the phone. A few short hours later our car was done, and is running perfectly now. This was too expensive for a 3 hour job and $100 in parts. I only took it here because it was an emergency and because all the Mom and Pop places were full.
