If I could give ZERO I would this whole experience have been terrible from them not wanting to cover tires under warranty to the store manager or corporate NOT reaching out to make things right. Or at least making a call your not worth anyone time there if your not spending any money. Bought tires in march and caught a flat last week and was told it wouldn't be replace under warranty. I wasn't even worth a call from the store manager. Customer service was terrible employees are very rude. Then corporate tried to send me back to the same store im having the issues with instead of looking into the incident. If i could give 0 stars, i would. i just took my van in for an inspection and a rear brake light replacement. These people removed my left brake light and turn signal, broke them, and not once did i authorize, nor request, service for that! They were fine! I know because my friends follow me daily when we drive, and they see my signaling and braking well in advance, because... shocker... THEY WORK. Firestone lied to me, saying they were not functioning. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they were functional. Not to mention, the man who answered the phone was aloof and brushed off what i said, when i addressed the fact that they broke my lights, and did not even ask me if they could work on them. Unauthorized repair, damage, and they also asked for my social security number, which i've never had to do-- i've been a firestone customer for decades. At your request, I am providing these details. In 2019 I purchased from your company tires that had, as I recall, a 50,000 mile warranty. I recently took my car to the Firestone on Tunnel Rd in order to have a slow leak fixed. I was told that the leak was not fixable. I was also told that the tread on the remaining tires was inadequate and I needed to get four new tires. Because I had not had the tires rotated frequently, I was told I had no recourse on the 2019 tires although the mileage was only 25,000 miles on those tires. So I am suspicious that after only 25,000 miles the tread would not have been that worn down. So on the advice of Damon, I purchased $1400 worth of tires. Now, I have come to learn that the new tires have an 80,000 mile warranty. Note, that in 5 years I have only drive 25,000 miles. I don't need 80,000 warranty. These tires will be on my car at the time of my death! I got ripped off. In view of this interaction I have lost all trust in Firestone. read more

My review is coming about a month late. I was there in August and it was not awesome! I was talked down to, treated like I was bothering them, and didn't trust the outcome. The next oil change I got somewhere else, they told me my oil cap was not screwed on right and I was lucky it had not popped off causing a ton a damage. Me and my wife both had good experiences here. We both had flats/leaky tires and they were able to get to it on the same day as walk ins. Hard to find places that can even take a look the same day, Asheville has a shortage of mechanics and fast tire places it seems, but this place got us taken care of within hours same day which again is rare for the area. Staff is nice too! They have empathy for the people they help. My go to for flats and leaks now. read more

I've been using this Firestone center for several years, but have now noticed the quality consistently going downhill. Oil filters not tightened enough several times, misdiagnosis, and parts not put back in place has become a regular occurrence. The front desk has also been very sarcastic, unfriendly, and inpatient lately. I have finally decided not to take my cars there anymore. Also, turns out that the Subaru dealer made the latest repair for $200 cheaper to my surprise! I have lost trust in Firestone and don't recommend! read more

The Toyota dealership tried to upsell me on buying 4 new tires, even though my current ones only had 36K on them. I came over to Firestone to talk to them and they measured them and said they were at 4cm, which is when I should start thinking about buying new tires and budgeting for them, but that I did not need to urgently buy them. That kind of honesty is hard to find and much appreciated. I'll keep these tires for a little longer, and when I do buy, it will be from Firestone. read more

Slow slow slow car was there for there for 3 days and I bet couldn't get a tire on had to wait for 3 hours once I arrived. They said it was ARIs fault for not giving them the information when I actually was on the phone with ARI the day before and they still said they didn't have my Information . This place was the best! Saved our vacation. No brakes in the morning and they had me gone before lunch.

I made an appt a week ago and go in to find they dont even have it in their system. They took me anyways since it was maintenance light that takes less than a minute to check and turns on sometimes without any reason. It took them 30 minutes to walk a few feet to my car to check it. The light was because i needed an oil change. Those take 20-30 minutes tops if its busy, they tell me they are not busy and can do it right away. 40 minutes later my car has been sitting in their shop and they said they havent even drained my oil yet. They feed me bs about how i showed up without an appt and werent ready and were finishing up on the preliminary part of my oil change (which is what, loosening the oil cap?). 30 minutes after that i tell them im leaving, then they hop to actually putting oil in my car. Final price is almost double what it costs anywhere else. Total time 100 minutes. read more

I take my car here exclusively, unless it's a dealer-only situation. Everyone that works at this place is professional and nice to deal with. They typically take less time than they originally quote, too. I like the location, as it's easy to walk down Tunnel Rd. to one of a dozen restaurants for breakfast while they work on my car. read more

Be vigilant and require proof of any additional recommendations. We have been customers of this location for several years without much issue. We get our tires here with reasonable pricing, pro-rated fees if there is a tire issue and free tire rotation and alignment. Since management changed, the decline of service is on the rise. During an oil change and tire rotation, they noticed a screw in a tire. They were able to patch for free - all well and good. However, they indicated I had a turn signal light out along with a license tag light. I declined service as we can take care of these ourselves. Upon returning home, these lights are in perfect working order. They would have charged me for the light and labor had I agreed. Note to future customers: "let's go take a look". read more

Took my car to Firestone on Tunnel Road for a routine oil change on April 5, 2021. Firestone *FORGOT* to put oil back in the car and BLEW OUT MY ENGINE. Several years ago that same Firestone forgot to put coolant in my previous car and stranded me in Atlanta. They are claiming I must have tampered with the oil because it's impossible they forgot to put any in. BS. I called them 11 minutes after I left with the car to report weird noises but they didn't answer, which, of course, I can prove. The Firestone Tunnel manager, Jim, screamed and threatened me on the phone when I finally got through to him and report they blew up my engine. Firestone/Bridgestone's (a multinational corporation) insurance company is in-house and run by 2 rednecks in Nashville whose sole job it is to deny valid claims. Five months later and they've failed to respond to my attorney and are going to drag this out as long as possible. $10,000 NIGHTMARE. Do yourselves a huge favor and take your vehicles somewhere else. There are far less expensive and much safer options in Asheville. read more

went in to get an inspection at around 430pm on a thursday. they were not very busy. waited an hour and a half for them to finally come tell me it's going to be $210 to replace 3 light bulbs and the inspection. I asked why it's so much and they told me the labor to replace one bulb (high beam lightbulb) is $90. I drive a jeep wrangler, a vehicle that has common after market modifications. there is no way in hell that it costs $90 in labor to change a lightbulb in that vehicle. one of the managers, Stephanie, was very nice though! read more

I had already had a bad experience here 3 years ago because they had messed up my brake pads. They remedied that by redoing them for free. I had gone for a trip down to Wilmington this past week and on my way from Asheville my change oil light came on- even though I just had it serviced at the end of may. By the end of the trip I checked my oil at the local automatic shop, assuming the whole time that they did not reset it. The shop said that it was a quart low and the oil was dirty but I still had over 2000 miles left on the ticket before I needed a change, they asked "are you sure you had it changed then? Is this sticker right?" The person, at Firestone tunnel- Josh, acted like I was an idiot even though I've never had that light come on before. Do yourself a favor, and go somewhere that actually does what they say they're going to do. I'm absolutely disgusted with the treatment I was given. Trusted this location up until the time they started lying and not communicating for days, they had my vehicle for three days before ordering a part. I was also quoted $300.00 to replace the windshield washer fluid reservoir because a bad sensor connected to the reservoir could not be found. I found the part at an auto parts store for $14.00 after refusing the service. Do your homework before trusting this location. They may have been trustworthy in the past, but our current predicament has made them undependable. read more

Every time I visit a different Firestone, I'm impressed with the customer service and friendliness of the staff. This location is no exception. I went in recently for a flat repair, and the shop did all of the legwork in submitting documentation for my road hazard warranty, even though neither it nor the tire itself were originally purchased through Firestone. I went in again to have an oil change, tire rotation, chassis lube, and alignment done on my Ford Ranger. They did a great job, called to update me on the progress, and took the time to discuss some of the things they had found during their courtesy check, even though they knew I would likely be doing those repairs myself. With a coupon, I walked out for less than $25 for the above service (I had already purchased a lifetime alignment). They did the chassis lube and tire rotation for free, although that wasn't originally included in the service covered by the coupon. I would definitely recommend these guys! read more

Was stranded on the road on Sunday with broken lug nuts and posts. Called to have it towed there to be fixed same day. Was told they could, but I had to have a special part which they happened to have, so it would be pricey. Quoted a price of over $500( $360 for parts, $140 for labor) if I could get it there in time. Thankfully the tow truck was late, so I just dropped it at my normal guys place, Bruce, with Easy Street Auto Care on Riverside. He fixed it right away on Monday for less than $100. Taking advantage of someone who is stranded on the road with his family by price gouging is definitely not a practice I want in my mechanic and I will have already told several people and will continue to spread the word. Making a buck that way is the worst kind of human. read more
