My tire pressure monitor system light was flashing on my 2018 Subaru. The dealer wanted $950 to replace the four sensor in my tires. Yes, NINE-HUNDRED FIFTY Dollars!! I made an appointment online. The tech at Discount Tires checked them for free and told me two were bad. He could have upsold me to sell all four, but he left it up to me. They didn't have the correct parts, so they had to order the sensors. When I called a few days later, they had them. I asked how busy they were, and they said to come on in. I was out the door in twenty minutes for just over $250 for all four sensors. I understand if you buy your tires from them, they will rotate them, AND repair them for free. Ordered 4 tires on Tuesday for a Saturday appointment, they claimed all 4 arrived, showed up Saturday, only 3 were there because 1 was "mislabeled." Then tried to replace with subpar tires. Additionally, rubber bushings, tire weights, and various other debris are all over the parking lot. The rubber won't cause damage, but those metal weights could. Wound up finding the same tires at Sam's Club down the road and spent less money even after buying a membership. Won't be back. read more

We called around to find our tire . Noone had it and sorta laughed that we thought it would be available. Called discount tire and they said they did have it and offered to go check to ensure we weren't driving there for no reason. When we got there the staff was friendly and professional. He actually said, I'm happy to see you made it here safely- I will get you fixed up in no time! A ton of weight was lifted. They were fast and appropriately priced. Visited this location on 8/7/25 while traveling to the Asheville surrounding areas. Needed a replacement set of back tires and they had something in stock that seemed to work initially. I replaced my Michelin Pilot Sport All Seasons with Yokohama YK-GTX tires. Backroads were fine and I left happy knowing I had tires that would get me home. Once I hit interstate speeds above about 70 I noticed a distinct kicking from side to side in the new rear tires. It was quite disconcerting on a fairly modern BMW 3 series that normally handles quite well above 100. I knew there was something wrong so the following week I was back up in the Arden area and stopped in . Tykey was extremely helpful and understanding. He helped me the first time. Great salesperson. Anyway, they pulled the wheels/tires off right away and found them to be "way out of balance". He acknowledged that it was understandable why the car handled so badly. Great ! Problem solved ! Unfortunately, the problem resurfaced again a few hours back down the road above 70 ish. I lived with the issue for several weeks and finally went to the Discount Tire store in Cary, NC. This review is based solely on my experience with the Arden location. I think the staff was knowledgeable and helpful. The time in and out was VERY fast ! They understood that although my front tires were soon to need replacing, I was waiting for now and simply wanted to fix the issue at hand (rear tires). I did not, unfortunately, have as great of luck at the Cary Discount Tire location but that is a whole other story. :) Thank you to the Arden location for your help during my first two visits. I have been a dedicated customer of Discount Tire in Arden, NC since the opening of that location. The original manager, Adam was Great as was his team. I recently called the store to inquire about a replacement wheel for one that we had damaged. We purchased the wheels and tires from Discount so we figured that we would have them gwt one for us. The salesman on the phone had no clue what he was doing and simply told me to call Enkie myself and that I just need to order it online. He basically was clueless and no help at ALL. I've been it retail my whole life, 50 plus years! If I had told my customer to find his own source to find a wheel that was purchased from Discount to begin with, I would have been fired. That's NOT customer service. It's too bad Discount no longer gives a crap as I own 6 cars and guess what....they all need tires. However, Discount Tire will never get another dime of my money unless things change dramatically and they actually spend some time training their salesman. Pricing was good and the salesman was very helpful on the new tires for my F250. However.... They did not torque the lug nuts on the truck properly and the drivers front wheel started to wobble and nearly came off going down the road. I would recommend you take your tires and wheels to the store separate and install them on the vehicle yourself, as the technicians cannot be trusted to torque the lug nuts down. When I went back to explain what happened to the front office staff, they were entirely uninterested and not helpful. A for effort, F- for execution. read more

We went in for a patch that should've taken 20 minutes tops. After checking in we were pretty much ignored for an hour and a half as we watched people who arrived after us get pushed through while we waited. When we asked how much longer they said we'd need to wait another hour and a half. Why would it ever need to take three hours for a simple patch job? We ended up leaving without the service we wanted and had to go elsewhere. read more

The Chick-Fil-A for tires. Always easy to get in and out. Everyone is super friendly. The waiting area has free bottled water and is away from the noise. They also have a really cool tire pressure check station, you just pull up to a very well marked spot and they come out and check your tire pressure. Completely free, even if you didn't buy your tires from them...who else would have this kind of service?? Maybe if Chick-Fil-A sold tires they would have competition. read more

They made a good deal on a set of high performance, all-season tires while we were travelling, run off the road and cut two tires. Being fit in, the two hours wasn't unexpected. Pressures were all over the place and we've had warnings since. Stopped on the way back through to check and clear. Total lack of organization. No one seems to be directing operations. I saw/heard floor personnel yelling at younger workers hanging out in the lobby, watched customers coming in and then leaving. They were unloading a semi, but had it blocking the exit side of the parking lot when there was room to back it in straight and not block half the lot. One idiot told me the car parked sideways in front of the two tire pressure/inflation stations was parked correctly. Two stations. One car sideways in front of them. SMH. After waiting 15 mins to speak with the one person working the counter, then another 15 out front, then being told to move even though the lack of organization is what caused the traffic jam, I left. Well for starters, they tried upchargeing my wife on the price quoted. Then they busted her hubcap and tried sliding it through with out acknowledgement of busting it to begin with, and removed driver's side floor mat,why it was removed from car. Just to change tires and then have no reason to. And then denied all together. Recommendations don't go there. read more

The staff there work very hard and are friendly. I witnessed a very rude (and out of line) customer unload on a staff member and the staff person certainly appreciated his complaint but also remained calm and did not the customer's tantrum affect his professional behavior. Excellent inventory, knowledgeable staff, and reasonable prices makes Discount Tire a great option. There was a problem - my car had 4 brake dust covers installed. When the technician mounted new tires he forgot to put the rear covers back on the car. I noticed when I got home and immediately called them to report what happened. After a return trip to DT, the dust covers could not be found! Management decided to buy another set to replace them. Although very inconvenient, at least the problem was solved. Update: good quality service in the garage. But, the front end businesses seems chaotic. It seems there are too few employees to meet the customer demand. Be prepared to wait! Two recommendations - First, move the printer so employees don't have to waste time walking into the office. If there's no room simply cut a hole in the office wall to make a window. Second, have a designated phone agent instead of juggling calls while working with customers. The way it is means neither party gets full undivided attention. Purchased two tires on line through Tire Rack. The tires arrived at the store and I made an appoinment for installation several days in advance. The website significanlty reduced wait times for tires purchased on line with n appointment. I arrived 15 minutes early for a 4:30 appointment. Iwas told the car would ne ready by 5:30. At 5:45, 15 minutes before the shop closes, the car was still not in the bay I wound up leaving at 6pm with two new tires in the trunk of my car, instead of installed. I am very disappointed and will not be back with any of my cars. read more

I was impressed that they took the tire pressure sensors apart and resealed them all included in the install price. Ordered tires a week ago. Local distributor showed them in stock. Scheduled appointment for 11 this morning. Tires didn't arrive till 2:30 this afternoon. Didn't check my car in until -3:20pm. Tried to add on $200 in extra "protection" without asking. I said "no". Car, at 3:20 was promised to be finished at 4:10. Car did not leave service bay till 5:05. Didn't fix tpms sensor and didn't even offer to diagnose or fix. NEVER USE THIS BUSINESS if you value your time and money. We stopped here because it was the first Discount Tire on our way home. My son had noticed a screw in our brand new tires as we were leaving TN. We had purchased them in TX on a previous road trip the month before. Discount Tire has a great policy of patching tires for free so we took advantage of that. The wait was hour-hour and half so we walked down past the Walmart to get something for lunch. By the time we were done with that, our tire was ready. I was having them mount tires on brand new 22" wheels and had asked them to contact me about any defects they see before putting the tires on so I could get replacement if bad enough.
