Generally, this has been a reasonable choice, even if you don't get to literally sample 'the local culture'. Because sometimes local culture comes to places like these. Granted we're probably talking Irish Business, techies, foodies, etc., but the place did have its share of area accents. We had our table at the window, so we were able to view what was happening on the quay overlooking the River Liffey outside. And the food was more than adequate. While we came early enough to partake in the full menu, it was refreshing to note that a late-night pizza menu is also available (and the way that boat ride went, that was a closer possibility than I think we'd like to admit). I was able to order one of my favorite foods, linguine pasta, and have a couple of decent drafts to wash it down. I think if I were to come again and not be as hungry, the Seafood Chowder would be a likely choice. Came there twice, and had our final Irish meal as breakfast before we headed for the airport.

I was pleasantly surprised by the river dancing however, the river dancing performance was at the front of the restaurant and we were seated more towards the back so we could hear the dancing, but we could not see anything because of the large circular bar in the middle of the restaurant. We were able to see some of the dancing as we ended our dinner and were walking out of the restaurant. This is definitely a large restaurant with two-story seating and seating downstairs as well. We were surprised to see the check in $USD (no choice of currency offered) rather than in Euros (the coin of the realm), with a 8.75% "exchange rate markup fee" tacked on to the total. We weren't given a choice of currency as stated on the bill (see picture). I've never seen this done elsewhere, seems like a petty way to make a bit of extra money from unsuspecting tourists. Got rigatoni carbonara, the guanciale and sausage meatballs were good but pasta was overcooked , also did not expect the sauce to be that spicy.
