St Davids Georgetown Hospital - The sweet little visitor keeping me company while I waited to be wheeled back to the surgical area.

The campus is smaller than other hospitals I've been to, which helped me arrive on time, and avoid getting confused about which building my appointment was in. With multiple heart doctors on my team, I can mix up who's doing what when and where. This hospital was manageable. I was in a shared room, (my first) but I had the window side, with a curtain drawn between the two bed areas creating adequate privacy. The single TV on the wall seemed to be more on my side, but there wasn't time to even turn it on. The very attentive nursing staff were busy asking me all the standard questions, double checking my medication list and fasting requirements, what I was there for, etc... all very professional, pleasant and efficient. When they had me ready for the cardiologist, I was wheeled into the surgical area and a new group of faces introduced themselves, went over a few more questions, and then the anesthesiologist said hello and I next thing I said was goodnight! Afterwards, back in my room, I was able to order lunch and had the salmon with veggies and chocolate pudding. The entree was so good! The BF (and my ride home) had arrived just in time to feed it to me as my right arm was in a contraption from the procedure. Discharge came with lots of aftercare notes, phone surveys and a handwritten thank you note signed by all the nurses. Nice touch!

Love the doctors and staff but agree with Tina that they are thieves when it comes to over-…read morepayments. I have been trying since August to have a huge over-payment refunded and they give excuse after excuse. Even if they finally agree to return MY money, I was told it will be a minimum of 12 weeks to process the reimbursement. By then, they will have held my money hostage for almost a year. I found out about my over-payment accidentally - they only send statements when you owe them. Watch your account because there's no telling how many patients have overpaid and will never know it. Another annoyance is that the billing department takes forever to process insurance claims. You can't trust them and they couldn't care less about helping you. And an update: I had (my final) well-woman exam where lab work was done. In the past, a copy of my results came in the mail but after a month and no contact from them, I called the nurse practitioner. She said the new Little River policy is that she could tell me if I was in normal ranges over the phone, but if I wanted a copy of my results I would have to fill out a form and pay $25. WHAT? It's my blood, I paid to have it tested and I have to pay more to find out the results? Little River must really be in financial trouble to extort this kind of charge from patients. Another reason to go elsewhere.

I will start by saying my Orthopedic Doctor, Dr. English, is fantastic. I give him 5 stars. I've…read morebeen seeing him for years. He's the best. Georgetown orthopedics was recently bought out by Little River Health Care. I went in about a month ago and had an Xray (it was not Dr. English I saw that day) - the bill I revieved was super high.I've never seen a bill for an Xray that high - I had an MRI done for $150 less just last year. I called and was told when they were bought out by LRHC, the cost of xrays more than doubled. So - lesson learned. Great doctor, who I will continue to see, but go somewhere else for the Xray. Make sure you ask the cost before you allow them to do the Xray at the office - you will be shocked!!

I don't remember the doctor's name, but he was very friendly and helpful. My second time at the clinic was for a sick visit. I couldn't get in to see my primary physician and this urgent care was my closest alternative. I checked in online and saw Dr Duncan 25 minutes after arriving on time for my appointment. 40 minutes after my appointment time, I was out the door. This is probably one of the quickest urgent care visits I've ever had. To be fair, the clinic didn't seem very busy that day (thankfully for me). There were some additional forms + copay payment to complete in person when I got there, but those didn't take long. They do ask for your credit card details on paper for any additional billing and I will be checking my bank statements for new charges. Front desk staff was kind and friendly. The nurse who took my vitals was thorough and so was the doctor. He was spot on with his diagnosis and I'm on the road to recovery with the medication prescribed. Overall, a wonderful experience and I'd go back again!

We arrived early, and there were few cars in the lot so I was hopeful they'd be on time. By 12:20 I noticed there were still 2 people ahead of me. I didn't have a good feeling about the place, plus thought I was feeling better so I texted a cancelation because there was nobody at the desk. When someone appeared I went up and repeated that I wanted to cancel. The attendant tried to convince me to schedule at another of their clinics with a shorter wait time. I refused, and received a text confirming cancelation. By the time I left there were many more people waiting to be seen. About an hour later I received an email confirming an appointment I never made, for 5:45 pm. I canceled, of course. Definitely not what I expected. This location is easy to find and had adequate parking and a large waiting area. If the waiting room got full I wouldn't want to be near anyone with a communicable illness, as the chairs are packed rather tightly together.
