This place was SO GOOD! They literally have everything! It is a little pricey... but you get what…read moreyou pay for! 10/10 recommend!

I had been paged to the Kings Mills Hospital (chaplain) on a Sunday around lunchtime. Once I was…read moredone at the hospital, I was so hungry and had been craving Chinese food. Without any Chinese food options, Tokyo Hibachi & Sushi Buffet was across the street and I decided to give it a whirl. As it was a Sunday afternoon, the price was the same as dinner - $25.99. I had never been there before so I was greeted and it was explained to me how they worked. One thing that wasn't explained was that the hibachi portion wasn't part of the all you can eat. My issues with this was that there was no rice or noodles elsewhere with your typical Asian food buffet items. Actually, the options aside from Sushi, the one-time hibachi, and dessert were somewhat limited. It started with chicken nuggets, mozzarella sticks, etc. There weren't many options on just the buffet part. On top of that, a lot of the food was out. The soup Options were Egg Drop and Miso. The Miso soup was not my favorite. It was missing something. I love miso soup I get at hibachi grills, but this one missed the mark. There was no salad or options like that. Even the sushi part of the buffet was out of a lot of stuff. I've never tried sushi. I did try some of the fruit sushi they had and it was good. I will say that the foods I did get to eat were delicious. I did ask if I could get some more fried rice and they did get that for me. I appreciated that very much. I didn't feel like I got my money's worth of food because so much food was out. Also, I probably could have built up my hibachi bowl more, but I didn't know it was a one time thing. I would like to go back and try this place again in hopes that the nugget would be better stocked. The service was great and the food was delicious.

Came here for a birthday, we had 11 people in our party. I believe we had a reservation, but not…read more100%, either way we were seated right away as we arrived. The girl in the front was friendly and welcomed us. The decor inside is nice, may be a bit older, but I think that is what gives it some charm. They have a couple tea rooms, which is nice, also a sushi bar, a large regular bar and then of course their hibachi grills which is the main event. Did not try sushi, so cannot give an opinion on that. But I did enjoy the food very much, it is on the more expensive side per person, but you know what you are getting here, it is the atmosphere, the show and the food all together to get the full experience for the price. I myself chose the filet mignon with scallops. Filet medium rare, it was cooked just the way I liked it, it was tender and flavorful and not over done. Scallops also were on point, the chef did a good job. I think he may have been newer as he did not do some of the tricks I am used to in a place like this. But he did a good job and was friendly. Our server was friendly, the only complaint is when we went to pay, he said we could not do individual payments and we had to do it in blocks of 4, which did not work for us. We asked to speak to the Manager and then we suddenly all had our bills split properly how we needed since we were a mixed group, so I thank them for doing that. We brought a cake as well and we were able to cut it up at the table and enjoy it there as well, so I cannot give them anything but 5 stars. Friendly, good food, entertainment and accommodating to our requests. Good experience all around. Enjoy!

Even after…read moremy office moved to Fairfield, a co-worker and I would find our way back for lunch a few times a month. Over the past few years, the service has a been hit or miss. Love to sit near the coy pound. Could use better lighting tho. Unfortunately, the last time I ate lunch there, it's been over a year, I had the worst attack to my digestive system, that I've ever experienced. After we had lunch, we drove over to Kohl's, which is within a couple of minutes. As soon as we walked in, we both developed the old bubble guts. Barely made it to the restroom. I will spare you the details. Ruined it for me. No more sushi for me.

Honestly I don't usually trust places that serve a combination of 2 different cuisines, call me…read morecrazy, maybe I've just had bad experiences. Udon Thai & Sushi has busted my rule on that. I have been here so many times in the past 3 years and they are consistently high quality & amazing, both Thai and sushi!! I keep it pretty basic with sushi always, tuna rolls and yellowtail rolls. Maybe a dragon roll if I'm feeling crazy. The rice here is seasoned and delicious. The fish is good quality and super fresh. The yellowtail is super buttery... gosh I love it. For the Thai dishes, I don't go that crazy either. One of my favorite things is the chicken & rice soup... it's really plain but it's just chicken, rice, garlic and ginger. Super comforting at all times. I only wish they offered a larger size :) Not my favorite pad see ew I've ever had, but it's ok. The tom kha is good. I have very few complaints with anything I've tried. Oddly, I've never gotten any of the udon dishes here even though it's their name. I should really get on that... I had some really phenomenal mango sticky rice here the other day, super fresh and delicious juicy mango, and a great quantity of sticky rice & sauce. I was like, licking the bottom of it so... I can't really endorse it more than that. Gem of West Chester!! Thanks for all of the great food!

I checked out this restaurant for the first time and was very impressed every step along the way…read more Starting with the menu, which was very extensive & thorough and had options I had never encountered before, in both Thai and sushi dishes. I called in for pick-up, and the person taking the call was efficient, knowledgeable, and helpful. For example, when I couldn't decide between getting beef or chicken for my Panang Curry, he suggested I could split my order, getting half of each. He guided me in my spice level -- I went for a "2" (on a scale of 1 to 6) for the curry, but then a "3" on the ginger stir fry with shrimp. The restaurant itself was clean but small -- a few tables were occupied, but they seemed to do a lot of take-out business. And as for the food itself, OMG!!!! Both my entrees were chock-full of chunks of freshly-chopped vegetables. The flavor of the curry was spot-on -- exactly what I expected from a Thai curry, and the ginger stir fry had an equally complex and fresh flavor. But the surprise of the night was the taro custard -- a dessert I've never encountered before. I love the flavor of taro but have only previously had it in Boba teas. This dessert turned out to be a milk pudding with little pillows of taro confections floating in it, that were just sweet enough, and all infused with taro. It was an excellent way to polish off a flavorful meal. Overall, I found the restaurant to be authentic, expertly made, fresh and delicious. Uden Thai & Sushi, I will be back -- soon and often.
