I have been a patient of Dr. Ferber for two pregnancies, 11 months apart and both times, the births have been successful despite a medical problem. Him and his team have always made me feel safe and I left reassured at every appointment. There is hardly ever a wait, unless there is an emergency in his office. On days that he isn't in office or busy, you have the option to meet with his assistant, Nicole. Nicole is amazing and very comforting. Gentle during exams as well. During my pregnancies I would email Nicole questions and she would reply to me before the end of the day or she would call me depending on my concern.
Dr. Ferber will make you feel comfortable and during
exams, calm. His professionalism and personality are quite rare in today's medical field. He will make you laugh, smile, and leave feeling good.
There have been times where Dr. Ferber had called the fetal imaging clinic for me to get me an appointment within the time needed. He is the type of doctor that will fight for you and make sure you get the services and tests you need. When he tells you "I will call you before I leave for the day", he will. He will never ever leave you hanging in the dark.
In the event that the doctor is on vacation, there are other drs within his practice that will see you or deliver the baby for you. I highly suggest you meet with them before birth just to get to know then.
Dr. Or delivered my second baby and she was a pleasure. She kept my spirits up and delivered my baby within 20 minutes of her guiding me and making sure I am comfortable.
Getting an appointment with Dr. Ferber for the first time is a bit annoying but I get why it happens. He is busy and sought out by many future mamas. When Dr. Ferber was at the old office, I was put on a list and was first seen by Nicole since I was only two weeks pregnant and just tests needed to be done. It was explained to me that the list was to check and see which new patient has an urgency. Also, the drs nurses in the office are above and beyond amazing. Sweet and professional. They do not judge and they take care of you. They have been with Dr. Ferber for many years.
As far as front desk staff goes, they do suck but do not let them paint the same picture for the dr. They are night and day. Two of the front desk girls are decent compared to the other four. Unfortunately, the drs cannot do much about it. I believe that the hospital chooses and employs them.
Before I met Dr. Ferber, I would jump from one OBGYN to another. I never felt comfy with other drs nor did I care for them. Dr. Ferber is a needle in a haystack. He works very well with other drs and because of my medical condition, he referred me to other amazing drs (vascular surgeon and hematologist). He is on top of his game and who ever I recommend to him, they come back to tell me how satisfied they are. read more
