I had one set made and covered by insurance for some frames I already owned and I paid out of pocket for a second set of lenses to be made for another (Ray Ban) pair of glasses I had. After not hearing from them for two months, I popped into their office and asked what was happening. They sheepishly explained they broke my glasses, but couldn't explain why nobody ever called me. They said they would replace the lenses AND the frame at this time, and that they would get back to me about this issue. They called my fiance and left a message about my broken glasses a month later. She's never been there before. I don't know why they called her? I came back today to follow-up on this issue, and was told my frames would NOT be covered. Not only that, there was ZERO accountability for how things have gone. Just excuses.

I had to call myself and it was at this time the contact lens late delivery was communicated. * Update 7/25 : Removed yet another star. Called yesterday and they only had the contacts for my right side. Called in today again to see if my contacts were available. This time they had both sides but this time Sabrina told me I was wrong in my receipt and that I owed $100. This was a complete surprise to me and instead of explaining it to me she just expected me to pay it. And let's be clear I was not wrong, I was incorrectly rang up by their staff. Now I don't have a problem paying and I understand it's not her fault but aside from never answering phone calls, not communicating with me, and telling me I'm wrong, how about explaining it to me? Instead I had to ask for an explanation. I've been going to Sterling for years and unfortunately I will no longer be giving them my business. To be clear, the optometrists are always amazing, great, and professional. The biggest issue is their office staff. They seem to have a very high turnover over, inefficient systems, untrained staff and bad customer service. Please note that they have locations in Springfield, Eugene, and Junction City. Based on my interactions and after years with Springfield and Junction City I will no longer have faith in this company. I highly recommend you find another business to get your optical needs fulfilled.

Dr. Thompson is awesome, she understood my descriptions of how my eyesight seems to have changed from my last pair of glasses and is very personable and easy to talk to. My new rx is great. My new frames are great. And, there's a 2 year warranty if my lenses get scratched or frames get damaged. One of my dogs recently decided my old glasses were super interesting and delicious. A couple months away from the two year mark of having them, he pulled a sneaky and chewed off one of the ear pieces. They were still under warranty and I was able to get a new pair for free. They are now my back up pair, which is very helpful if you have a hound dog that likes to counter surf, despite all of your best efforts.
