Well I learned this from Daniel after my rear tires were wearing unevenly. Daniel was able to fit me into that day's appointment schedule and had me on my way in less than a hour of waiting. I received a full report on how my alignment was before and after it was adjusted. Alignment is under warrantee for 90 days but Daniel told me about the 1 and 3 year add-on to that warrantee. At either $49 or $99, it was a no brainer. I opted for the 3 year extended warrantee and will be returning every 2000 miles to get my alignment check up. I didn't want to risk it. Anyway, I take the car in for my appointment and meet Nathan. Professional, efficient, etc. He advised me that patching/plugging a tire is free which I didn't realize. Pleasant surprise! He also let me know about my tire condition for all fours and let me know what replacing two rears would cost (performance tires = replace same side/size at a time). But here's the thing, he provided the info but there wasn't an uncomfortable hard sell. He was professional and comprehensive but at no time did I feel like I was being sweated or pressured. In fact, I remember sitting there thinking, "huh, well heck maybe I'll just buy them here when the time comes!" That's solely because Nathan came at me as a professional, with expertise, a calm composed demeanor, and information (not a pitch). As someone who has worked in the auto industry, including as a senior executive, it was so refreshing to be in a space seeing a young professional with a passion and expertise for his craft. Delivering it in a way that wasn't to aggressively close a deal but foster a relationship that would create a long term commitment to the brand. America's Tire, pay attention! Dr. Wheel is on the lower side of the equation. The other thing, they come to your house. Say what? Got me wondering how solid of a repair we were looking at. Well, once I dug into the process, saw that the work is warranted for a year, I figured I'd give them a shot. First, we had them do two aftermarket wheels which relatively minor damage. The result was pretty incredible. The wheels looked good as new and honestly, I couldn't remember where the blemishes were . Months later the wheels looked great. Today, we got four wheels on my wife's car done, all with curb rash to a varying degree and the result was great. The challenge today wasn't the damage, it actually wasn't super complex or extensive. It was the color. From the factory, the color is pretty unique, but the Dr. Wheel team got it pretty much exactly. A special shout out to Jonathan, who came out to our house twice and did a great job. Friendly, professional, thorough, and just an all around solid dude. Not that I hope to get more curb rash on any of our wheels (nor do I wish that for you!), but if we do, we will definitely go back to them. We've already referred them to a few neighbors.

The gentleman on the phone said the transmission fluid is for life unless I'm towing or carrying heavy loads. When I questioned why I see that it's recommended online he says that dealers will recommend this service all day but if you check the Toyota maintenance manual it says you don't need it. Man! I haven't even been to this shop yet and I'm already getting a good feeling about this place. It's a bit more expensive for an oil change than other places that have quoted me, but I like that they use factory parts including Toyota oil filters. I'll update this review once I get the car in for my first visit. Stay tuned.... 6/29/26 - Brought my Sienna in for an oil change + complimentary 30-point inspection (since it was my first time there). Jared took the van for a spin, brought it back and lifted it up. They found a little oil seepage coming out of the transfer case. I let them know that I did see a transfer case drain/fill on the CarFax report before I bought it. Jared thinks they just didn't torque it properly so they were going to retorque and clean up around the area and keep an eye on it. Worst case scenario, they would need to order a new drain plug gasket and I'd have to come back to get it replaced. Thankfully, the drain plug just needed to get tightened. I was in and out in almost exactly an hour just as Robert promised. Thanks The Toy Shop team!! Pro Tip: they are booked out at least a week in advanced so make your appointment ASAP!

They kept me for two hours, tried to align my car three different times, and even sent me off saying everything was good--only for my car to immediately pull hard to the right. I had to go back, and in the end, they just refunded me because they couldn't complete the job. After that disappointment, I went online to find another alignment shop and came across Trust Alignment in Long beach. From the moment I spoke with them, I felt reassured. I explained my situation, and they understood right away. They told me to come by, promised to check everything out, and even said they wouldn't charge me if they couldn't fix it. Sure enough, they did the job right and my car has never driven better. The difference is night and day. These guys really live up to their name. I truly trust them, and I'd recommend Trust Alignment to anyone who wants their car done right the first time.

I went to Overseas Garage in LB for an oil change. They charged me $58, and told me I need front brake pads and resurface rotors for $263. I called around and found Art's Service. Juan said they us American parts for $146. So I told Overseas not to do my brakes. When I got home, Overseas called me to say that the bolt on my oil pan had been stripped by a previous mechanic and I would need to replace the pan soon for around $250. The next day I looked under my car and it had leaked a ton of oil! Overseas never told me it was leaking, they just let me go home knowing it leaked. So I went to Art's Service and Juan, the owner, fixed my brakes for $146, and found a bolt that would fit the oil pan and fixed the leak for $46! Not only that, but Juan said they do oil changes for $38. Juan's customer service was the old fashion kind, he even drove me to work. He was honest and saved me lots of money. I will definitely bring my car back to him. read more

Juan did it again and save me hundreds of dollars !! He fixed my air conditioning when another mechanic was going to charge me over $1500 to replace the compressor when that wasn't even the problem. It was a leak with a special hose and such which only cost around three or 400 dollars compared to $1500. God bless Juan!!!! This is what I'm talking about, he's an honest guy you could trust. The owner Juan & his son Mark are the best at their craft. They've serviced all my family's cars brakes. You can even bring your own parts for them to install but can't warranty those parts. Fair prices. Trustworthy. Solid work. Most recently replaced an oil pump for my son's VW rabbit too. They can do more than brakes and what they can't do, they'll be honest with you and let you know. read more

This is actually my second time writing a review for Overseas Garage. My original review was…read morenegative, but I decided to take it down because I wanted to give them the opportunity to make things right, and I think it's only fair that I come back and share how things ultimately turned out. My first experience unfortunately wasn't great. I originally brought my Nissan Altima in for an A/C issue, and there were problems with scheduling and communication from the beginning. I had made an appointment more than a week in advance, but when I called to confirm, I wasn't on the schedule. They were still able to get me in, diagnosed the compressor as the problem, and replaced it. However, there were additional communication issues while the car was being repaired, and shortly after getting it back, the A/C was blowing warm again. Needless to say, I was frustrated, especially after spending around $1,100 between the original repair and what I purchased afterward trying to address the A/C issue myself. That's what led to my first review. What changed my opinion was what happened next. The owner of Overseas Garage personally called me, apologized for my experience, listened to my concerns, and wanted the opportunity to make things right. I really appreciated that. I decided to give them a second chance and brought the car back so they could address the remaining issues. I'm glad I did. They ultimately did a great job, and the effort they made to correct the situation completely changed how I feel about the shop. No business is going to get everything right 100% of the time. For me, what says more about a business is what they do when something does go wrong. Overseas Garage could have ignored my review or dismissed my concerns, but instead, the owner reached out personally and took responsibility for making sure I was taken care of. That means a lot to me. One of the reasons I originally chose Overseas Garage was because it's woman-owned. As a gay man, walking into a traditional auto shop can sometimes feel intimidating, so I genuinely wanted to support a shop where I felt more comfortable. After everything was resolved, I'm glad I gave them another opportunity. My first experience may not have started the way I hoped, but the way they handled things afterward earned back my trust. I would recommend Overseas Garage, and I appreciate the owner and the team for taking my concerns seriously and making the effort to turn my experience around. Thank you for making things right.
