What really stands out is how proactive and caring he is. Ian personally checks the equipment from time to time--pump, filter, heater, salt cell--and has caught small issues before they became big repairs. During rainy stretches and algae season, they adjust dosing and brushing so the water never turns. They've cleaned the salt cell, backwashed when needed, and even spotted a tiny air leak at the pump lid that they fixed the same day. Professional, trustworthy, and thoughtful: he closes the gate for the dogs, roll up hoses neatly. Billing is simple, pricing is fair, and the value is huge--I don't think about the pool anymore; I just enjoy it with my family. My pool heater is not working. My regular pool service advised I should contact a company they…read morerecommended. The pool company replaces units but do no repairing. The recommended company repairs/replaces parts but has an agreement with my pool company that they do not replace heat units. The company they recommended advised I needed 2 parts, charged me $125.00 just to look at my Rheem pool/spa heat pump. The estimate they gave me to replace the 2 parts with labor was $1450.00.They are an AC company and pushed for a new unit-mine per the tech was out of warranty. My pool company advised the cost to replace the unit would be $4,650.00. I called my AC people who sent a tech to provide a 2nd opinion. He confirmed that one part needed to be replaced and probably the second. He also advised my warranty was out of time. I never got my work quotes from this company. On a whim I called Pinch A Penny in Tequesta this AM. Roberto listened to why I was calling. He said he did not want to loose business but suggested I call Rheem to verify my warranty. and call him back if I needed service information. I did. The Rheem company advised my heat pump is still under warranty for parts-- or 7 years from the day of installation. I have one more year!! The parts are being sent at NO cost and when I called Roberto back to thank him for suggesting I call Rheem I said I wanted to hire his services to do the install of the parts. Unbelievable my Pinch A Penny charge per Roberto is $125.00. He said he thought the heat pump might have time left on the warranty and that is why he referred me to Rheem. That's $1,325.00 or $4,525.00 less than I would have been spending. Thank you Roberto for your professionalism, personalization and knowledge of products!!!! I certainly am watching my pennies as we all are. I ensured Roberto that my future heat pump and pool repairs are now going to Pinch A Penny!!!

I've been buying my chemicals for years from them and recently decided to try there pool service. I…read morewas disappointed in their pool service due to: 1. They never state in their contract that they only put in pool chlorine tabs in you automatic doser or pool monster. 2. Since my doser was not working they used all my chemicals I paid for. 3. Once my chemicals were used up they sent me photos of my pool green with algae stating they serviced and brushed the pool. 4. They kept leaving the gate to the pool open. 5. They turn the pump timer off so if just kept running while I was out of town. 6. Turned off the pool vac multiple times. 7. When I complained about the pool service they said that I needed to replace the automatic doser or buy a chlorine floater for the pool. When I asked why did they not just add chemicals they stated that they did not do that since chemicals last less then a week. I call BS. So if you want to pay 130 plus USD per month for someone to come brush your pool and add chemical tablets to your auto feeder then this is the service for you. I travel a lot and thought their service would give me a piece of mind but I worried more about the unqualified and probably underpaid staff they have "servicing" the pool. Customer service was nice but clearly there is a disconnect based on the contract sold and the service provided. Beware buyer.

Once the work was done, they came back every day for a week to make sure the pool was brushed and chemicals were correct. They came back a couple of other times regarding a pool light issue (Jandy's fault, not theirs). I would use them again in a heartbeat. By the way, other pool companies I called initially didn't even return my calls. UPDATE: It turns out that they didn't seal the niche for the new pool light they installed and I ended up having to pay another company to find the leak and seal the niche.
