Endless Summer has been a blessing for our Stuart, Fla home--and a lot of that comes down to Ian,…read morethe owner. He's a hard-working family man with a heart of gold, and it shows in every visit. Our pool is crystal clear week after week because he does the little things right: skimming, vacuuming, brushing the walls and tile line, emptying baskets, checking water level, and dialing in the chemistry so it's comfortable for our family (no harsh smell, no stingy eyes). What really stands out is how proactive and caring he is. Ian personally checks the equipment from time to time--pump, filter, heater, salt cell--and has caught small issues before they became big repairs. During rainy stretches and algae season, they adjust dosing and brushing so the water never turns. They've cleaned the salt cell, backwashed when needed, and even spotted a tiny air leak at the pump lid that they fixed the same day. Professional, trustworthy, and thoughtful: he closes the gate for the dogs, roll up hoses neatly. Billing is simple, pricing is fair, and the value is huge--I don't think about the pool anymore; I just enjoy it with my family. If you want genuine people who take pride in their work, call Ian at Endless Summer. He treats your pool--and your home--like his own. Highest recommendation.

After ten years of hiring out my pool service, my wife volunteered me to take care of the pool…read moremyself. After watching some YouTube videos and reading up on "how to service your own pool", I knew I was in over my head. I'm not a chemist. I didn't do well in chemistry class in high school. I did really well at drinking beer in high school which I still enjoy to this day, preferably in my pool. As you can probably imagine, I had zero faith in my ability to prevent my pool from turning into a green swampy cesspool of frogs and other nefarious critters. After a sporty discussion with my wife trying to convince her that I would not be her chosen pool boy, I knew she wasn't budging. I had to come up with a plan: I figured my first stop should be my local pool supply house. First stop: Pinch A Penny at US1 and Bridge Road in Hobe Sound. I strolled in and my eyes glazed over at all the chemicals and supplies. Though they clearly have everything in stock for pools that even the Olympic Pool Committee could use, I felt like I was back in chemistry class, certain to sulk away with a failing grade. After a highly productive discussion with the owner Chad, he was able to encourage me a bit to at least give it a try. With him being a local and growing up in the area, he certainly knows what he is talking about when it comes to pools and hot tubs. Step 1 was to bring him back a sample of my pool water in one of their complimentary sample bottles. Anyone can do that! I brought back a bottle of my pool water and Chad worked his wonders. He ran a complimentary chemical analysis on my water and 10 minutes later, I was on my merry way with easy to follow custom instructions and some chemicals, all at a great value. Easy peasy. Fast forward over a year now and dare I say I've got one of the most beautiful pools in Martin County?! The vote is in and my happy wife declares I'm doing a great job. I could not have been successful without the professional, efficient, friendly, accurate, and knowledgeable advice I've received from Chad and his trusty sidekick Cody. Whether you have a service that cleans your pool weekly or you are a DIY guy, stop by and say hi to Chad and check out the full selection of chemicals, equipment, testing supplies, as well as some great pool toys for all ages. My wife loves her new pool boy now and I've gotten more compliments from her than ever before. Because of that, I unconditionally recommend the Hobe Sound Pinch A Penny without any hesitation.

My Apex pool build started approximately June 2020 and was completed in September. Bottom line:…read moreAfter a year, I am very satisfied with the quality of my pool. Apex did a beautiful job. Additionally, Apex has exceeded my expectations in regards to fixing after-final -construction issues. Some Details: 1 Competitive pricing. Apex quote came in at the same price as other lower-rated pool companies and 20% less than similarly rated companies. 2. Apex has their own people. I experienced a consistent quality of work and predictable timetable. Each phase of my build project was handled by a different group of people. Every single person in every phase took pride in their work; were friendly and professional. Roddy Brown my construction manager 95% of the time answered his phone and provided clear answers to any questions. I called Roddy one day AFTER the build was complete. He answered the phone even though he was home recovering from a serious illness. On another occasion, I called the Apex office when it was closed on a Saturday. The office manager Julie, answered the call and helped me EVEN THOUGH SHE HAD COME IN TO CATCH UP ON WORK AND THE OFFICE WAS CLOSED!!!! WOW. 3. Another plus with Apex is that they are a paver contractor. It was easy to pick out our pavers because they use their parking lot as the paver display. Large sections of each paver type so that you can get a clear idea of what the pavers look like. Apex did an amazing job on our pool hardscape. 4. The pool build is a long process. The most agonizing part is the initial permiting that was at least 4-plus weeks. Nothing Apex could do about that. Many steps and many inspections. Apex provided a project sheet outlining each phase of the build process. Additionally, it seemed like they had good coordination with the local inspectors because we never had to wait too long to get and inspector in to review their work. 5. I got feedback from the local inspector that APEX was a quality pool company and seldom had inspection issues. He mentioned that another pool company was doing a job in our neighborhood and they had a long list of issues. Throughout the multiple inspections that were conducted, I think the inspector had one item on the punch list for correction. 6. After the build was completed, the last person I interacted with was "The Pool Lady". Her job was to train me on taking care of my pool. She came in initially to get the water chemistry right and to go through all the steps to keeping my water and pool in great shape. I think she did 3-4 separate visits. She was very thorough and helpful (I have never owned a pool). With her training, I was confident that I could do my own pool chemistry. A year later, my pool water is crystal clear. Based on discussions with other new pool owners the Apex Pool Lady was a star. She really knew her stuff. 7. Finally I want to reiterate the exception after-the-build response to questions and issues. I called several times with equipment issues (not related to Apex). I was shocked that Apex responded that same day multiple times. I think once I waited a day. I was pleasantly surprised with their response.

I am the third generation in my family to…read moreuse them for pool services starting with my grandfather folllowed by my great aunt, uncle and now myself. I figured I would get the same quality service several of my family members had. I was wrong. The issues started with my very first service call. Unknown to the individuals cleaning my pool they were being watch by myself on my security camera from my home in Arizona. Being a new home owner I needed to make sure I was getting my money's worth for my monthly $90 service. What I saw was pretty upsetting. Only half the job was completed and I had video proof. A call to Sue the manager had her out to finish the job. I should have known then what was to come. However, they tried hard to make things right and I wanted to give them a chance to earn my business. I watched my pool guy Ted over the next month or so and he did what was needed each time. He's a good employee and he gets five stars. I even let Sue know he was doing a good job and I was pleased. With my most recent invoice several months after I started with the service I noticed there were extra charges for calcium. I had been very specific with Sue the manager on the phone and in writing to a rather unpleasant lady named Cindy in their office that I wanted to be notified of all extra charges prior to accruing them. I was told over the phone by Sue I would be notified. Living in AZ 2500 miles away at the time as well as having issues with my first service I didn't want there to be multiple surprises on my bill. When I wrote them back about the bill telling them to go ahead with payment and REMINDING them I was to be notified before they added something that was going to incur a charge Cindy informed rather curtly they would not be informing me of stuff they were going to be doing to MY pool that was going to cost me extra money. They would give me the bill at the end of the month before running my card. Like I have a choice to dispute it or say no. That basically leaves the door wide open for them to do whatever they want to your bill. For someone like me who caught them initially not providing the services I was paying for to now start adding charges you had no idea where coming even if small is really unscrupulous. It's unfortunate but I've now switched companies to another local pool company who doesn't do that since all chemicals are included and there are no surprises on your bills. I cannot recommend this company for services and would recommend you be cautious before using them yourself until their methods of billing are adjusted to meet simple requests to notify you before a charge is incurred beyond the revolving $90 /month.
