The years, and dogs, had left their wear & tear (and a few accidents!) on our prized 8x10.5 Persian rug, so it was time to turn to our Yelp friends for a carpet cleaner recommendation. Now, cleaning a fine oriental rug is not your average no-brainer! First of all, only a few local firms specialize in the care of oriental rugs. Carpet cleaning companies that tell you they'll do it? Proceed at your own risk, as the vegetable dyes and hand knotted wool can be irreparably damaged by the wrong technique and/or chemicals. I'd done quite a bit of research before settling on Artistic Associates oriental rug cleaners. My first try (like many people) was the "other" Sacramento rug cleaning place. By far the cheapest, I didn't feel comfortable with their cleaning techniques, nor with the less-than-stellar reviews. Another local company appears quite competent, but I just couldn't pull the trigger based on their $400+ estimate. Here's the price range I found for cleaning our 8x10.5 rug: $125-$450. At $250, Artistic Associates oriental rug cleaning was right in the middle, but several discussions with the owner, Marion, made me feel this was the right place. Their cleaning process is thorough, effective and gentle. Nominal pickup/delivery fee got me a professional team with a trailer doing all the heavy lifting. After about 10 days, I got a call from Marion letting us know the carpet was ready to be delivered. It looks spectacular! Amazing Service and incredible job. Our carpets had not been cleaned in over a year and we thought we would have to replace them. Had Artistic Associates come and take a look at them. I live at Lake Tahoe and was interested in getting my rugs cleaned. Looked in the Folsom Sacramento area and found this company. When I arrived, two gentlemen removed my rugs from my vehicle. One gentleman took me inside and showed me the process of how they cleaned Oriental rugs. While living in houston, I had my rugs cleaned quite often. Never really knew how they did it.. really appreciated learning how the Oriental rugs were cleaned. tell them I didn't need the rugs until after Thanksgiving and was really happy to receive a call the week before. Artistic Associates has been cleaning my mother's home for many years. This fall they came to her beautiful home and left permanent spots on her hardwood floors. The gentleman who did the work did not use a drop cloth and the company will not take any responsibility. We will not hire them for any further work. Artistic Associates was recommend by a friend of ours who has a rug cleaning business. The rug in question was a large handwoven rug that we have had for many years. It really needed cleaning. Artistic Associates booked us for pickup, showed up on time, moved our furniture for us (we are not as young as we used to be), and gave us a very reasonable price and a timeframe of about 2 weeks due to their current workload. Friday, we received a call telling us our rug was ready! It had only been about 8 days! We scheduled today for return and not only did they call and say they could come earlier if that fit our schedule but, when they rolled out our rug, it took my breath away. It looked brand new!!! They had handcleaned it and, at our request, made an appropriate pad for it (the one we were using wasn't great). When they put the room all together for us, it looked like a showroom rather than our familyroom. The rug looks amazing!! If you have a valuable rug that needs a little TLC, look no further than these two gentlemen from Artistic Associates. They are beyond fabulous and we will definitely be using them in the future. Kirk and Sam came and did a great job making our 64 year old kitchen and bath tile look amazing. Grout was missing and discolored. They also replaced some tile backsplash that had fallen off years ago. They did it all in one day. Kirk and Sam were professional, but also like having friends over to do the work. I had put in tile in my home eight years ago by a company that did a poor job of installation. My grout over the years changed colors, lifted and in some places cracked and crumbled. Marion and his son came in and did a fabulous job of restoring the grout. It looks brand new! They repaired the damaged tile and grout. The product they used is amazing.
