Andy Gallagher's service has been cleaning my carpet since he started, more than a dozen yrs ago! It's not just a one step steam clean, but a multi step process: scrub, then steam clean, with a final brush or rake to reset pile in carpet. -- so my 30 yr "old" carpet looks new every year! The stains are treated separately and all gone. Extra dirty areas are done with extra cleaning. Therefore, it is a higher cost then others, but I get more than I pay for or I wouldn't keep hiring him year after year! He has a complete separate cleaning unit with heater, tanks, filters and pumps, on an attached trailer, not just a small van mounted unit like most others... I have 7 rooms done, stairs and 8 x 10 area rug... I tried someone else once but was disappointed and had to redo it! I have known the same employees for years and would not trust anyone else. This is the third time I've used Gallagher's Carpet Cleaning and they have done a terrific job every time. The holidays are just over and I hadn't had my carpets cleaned for a long, long time. I usually get them cleaned once or twice a year. Contacted Andy for their January special and he got me scheduled later the same week. We got our carpets cleaned by Andy and I can't express how great of an experience it was. It started a little shaky when no one arrived for our 9am appointment. I called Andy and he got us mixed up with another appointment of his. The technician that was going to do the cleaning was already out of town. Andy owned the mistake and said he would come out and do the cleaning himself! Once Andy arrived, he was nothing but professional and courteous. Another slam dunk by Andy and Gallagher's Carpet Care. We had three big rooms with white frizze carpet there were soiled beyond what I thought could be repaired. A combination of 2 years of kid traffic, baby spit-up, toddler toilet training, cat and dog accidents, and general life had turned our carpets into hazmat zones. Our budget was too small to do our house with laminate as I'd hoped, so I had to just give up and get the damn carpets cleaned, thinking I'd just limit visitors for another year until we could do the laminate project. The carpets were that awful. Instead, Andy got them so white they look better than they did when we moved in 5 years ago. The pet-odor isn't completely gone - impossible to fix if the urine's reached the boards below the carpet pad. But it's MUCH MUCH improved. I don't know where to start! We had a huge concentrated bleach spill right outside our laundry room on dark gray Berber carpet. I was in a panic! They saved us!!! Dyeing the carpet wasn't an option because the carpet fibers were destroyed. So, right away he went to plan b.. We had a piece of carpet remnant that we going the wrong direction. So the reviews are correct they cost a bit more than the advertised $100 for 3 rooms and a hall that you often see. However, I used them to dye a bleach stain which Andy did a great job of and to stretch out my carpet which looks great now. With furniture being take off the square footage of my house I had about 360 sq ft to clean plus some stairs and landing area. Cost for the carpet cleaning was about 400. I contacted this company through Yelp to request service. I got a response within the time that Yelp said I would, and begin a very informative conversation with Adam. In the end I did not end up using Gallagher's Carpet Care but I will definitely use them in the future. Adam was very helpful in helping me determine the right service for the job that I needed to have done which included carpet care and carpet installation. While Gallagher's Carpet Care was not the right fit for the work I needed to have done, he recommended a place for me that he thinks would save me money in the end. I contacted the company he recommended and they too were very friendly and understanding. I appreciate Adam's integrity. He could have sold me on a job that would have made him money but would not have been the right fit for what I needed. But on top of that Lou noticed that our floors, which had just been clean an hour prior by the housekeeper, was still quite dirty--there was an obvious film over the top. My wife and I recently moved into our first house together. Everything about the place was great, with the exception of the carpet, which was covered in stains of all sizes and colors. It also needed some serious stretching. We had a carpet cleaner come out to give us an estimate and he wasn't sure he could even take out the stains, let alone stretch the carpet.
