Jeff is the man! He is professional and a class act! I hired him for 3 jobs and he knocked each one out of the park. He brought 2 couches back to life and was able to remove diaper rash cream from one couch! If you're a new parent you understand how hard it is to remove. He saved me from buying new couches and he was easy to work with. Appreciate all the work you did Jeff! Will be using A Step Above for future cleaning needs. read more

I called A step above to get my carpets cleaned in my new home I recently moved into. This business really does live up to the 5 star reviews! My carpet was pretty trashed from the previous people that lived in the house, and I figured a lot of the stuff wasn't going to be able to come out. Jeff proved me wrong on that! He did such a thorough job on my carpet I am astounded at how much better the carpet looks after he did his magic on it! Jeff showed up on time, was communicative, and his prices are amazing! My couch is less than 5 years old but I still have two young boys so as much as I would love to buy a new one, who am I kidding? That's never a good idea with growing boys. So looked up some carpet and upholstery cleaners in the Citrus Heights area. The first place I called never returned my call. When I called A Step Above, Jeff answered right away. He gave me a fair quote and I told him I'd call him in a couple days to schedule. He was super easy to talk to, answered all my calls, arrived as scheduled as did quality work! I feel absolutely confident in recommending him to anyone! I'm planning on having him do our bedroom carpets next. The couches are like new again. Thanks Jeff. read more

Working with Jeff was a great experience! He is responsive and friendly, showed up on time, and did a great job. He also didn't try to upsell or oversell - I asked how often we should be getting our couch professionally cleaned and his answer was based on our actual needs, not how often he wants repeat business. I will definitely be using him again! read more

Highly recommend! Jeff was very professional and personable. Very up front with everything and did not try to up-sell me. It was a very easy-going experience and the carpet turned out wonderfully. Miracle worker, I was terrified of having to get a new couch because of the dust/ water mark stains left in our couch by our flooring people. I was truly skeptical that anything would work at this point but Jeff surprised us and was able to get our couch to look better than when we got it brand new! If you're looking for a professional clean, great customer service and great results call Jeff! read more

Jeff was so quick to give me a quote for some cleaning we needed and even followed up when he did not hear back from me for a bit. He cleaned our fourteen foot L shaped couch, a 10 by 10 rug and our carpeted upstairs attic with stairs. He showed up promptly and got to work and explained everything he was doing. Out couch had a lot of stains and had never been cleaned in the four years we have had it. It looked like a brand new couch after he cleaned it. There were a few hot sauce spills on the rug and the stains were gone. He honestly worked so hard and every stain and all the dirt was washed away. We are so glad we found Jeff and will definitely work with him again to help keep our floors and furniture looking all clean and new. Thank you for you quality work and outstanding customer service. read more

Jeff's service is, absolutely, a step above: he scheduled when we wanted, arrived exactly on time, was clean and polite, and did a GREAT job on our dirty chairs and rugs! All this and his was one of the lower quotes we received. I recommend A Step Above unhesitatingly. read more

Jeff was quick to respond to my request for an estimate to clean our carpet for our newly purchased home. He gave me a competitive rate that I was willing to work with. I love that he uses all natural products that left our carpet smelling fresh. He did amazing work cleaning our entire upstairs and staircase. I highly recommend using him and will work with him on future cleanings! Thanks again! read more

First off, carpets are one of those things I don't think about other than recognize that I walk on them and should vacuum. I've had a dog for the last 6 years, vacuum regularly, and even usually take my shoes off at the door, but I also regularly suffer from allergies, etc. so I try to keep a clean home. With that said, I noticed my favorite rug lost its luster. The contrasting colors were melding together and simply wasn't as vibrant as it once was. I called A Step Above to schedule a rug cleaning - Jeff was very responsive and was clear about the time and cost estimate to clean the rug and was very flexible to work around my schedule. He arrived on time, as scheduled, was very clean, professional, respectful, and informative. Jeff did a fantastic job! The pictures speak for themselves, but what you can't see from the pictures is the resulting clean air! A clean rug made such a difference in my home -- I will definitely be hiring him again to clean my upholstery and the rest of the carpet in the house. read more

The owner did a great job cleaning my rug and couch. Would definitely hire him again!

So I had to call these guys back again as the dogs are always running in and out. We had what looked like a pen broke and made a black stain on our very light colored carpet. Jeff, the owner, used some special all natural solution and elbow grease and got the stain out, never to be seen again. Thank you A Step Above and Jeff read more

Jeff did an amazing job on our carpets! I called around to a handful of places prior to calling Jeff, and not only did he come in with a way lower estimate...the price didn't change once he actually came to our house. He was prompt and professional, and responded quickly to texts (which I prefer over phone calls)! We will definitely be using him in the future! Ignore the footprints on the pictures...we had to walk in to open windows. read more

THE BEST carpet cleaning service I have ever used. Jeff arrived on time looking sharp and professional. He was very genuine and competent. He explained the process thoroughly so I would understand what to expect. Needless to say my expectations were BEYOND EXCEEDED. The pictures don't do it justice. My carpet looks new and smells like a grove of orange blossoms. Very clean, light, and pleasant. My house previously smelled like wet dog/and some urine! Not anymore! I highly recommend A Step Above for carpet cleaning. You will have your expectations exceeded and with a very reasonable price! If I ever find myself in need of carpet cleaning, I won't look beyond Jeff and A Step Above. You will NOT be disappointed! read more
