The cafe hosted a special event I attended today. Although there is not a ton of cutesy decor to…read morespeak of, it is a nice cozy, quiet place to enjoy some light bites and great drinks and catch up on reading, working, meeting up. The ladies behind the counter were very nice. I had the chicken tinga empanada and it was so good. One more shred of chicken, and that thing would have exploded. It was very flavorful! I also had the Pink Line latte which was so good. The donuts looked amazing but I decided to restrain myself, but will definitely have to grab one on my next visit. There is street parking around and on a Sunday, it was easy breezy. Not sure what it's like during the rest of the week.

We arrived around 9:30 on a Thursday morning and it was fairly busy with customers coming in and out or choosing to sip on their coffees in house. We were greeted immediately and told about the specials and pastries. Our drinks were made quickly and tasted excellent. With ample seating in the front of the house or back, there's plenty of space to relax while the Latin music serenades you quietly in the background. You can also cozy up to the bar, surrounded by a variety of lovely plants, and watch your coffee creation be made.

Outstanding breakfast. Quaint bohemian decorated, clean- including the beautiful bathrooms are just…read morethe start. 3 people: niece went with the Korean inspired egg Benedict's. I had the red Chilaquiles, hubby ordered the Honey Chicken and Waffles and we also ordered the lemon and blueberries corn hotcakes to share. Every dish was beautifully presented like someone put a lot of thought in making them appetizing. Flavor wise every single one was awesome, either chilaquiles being the weakest one but still good. The chicken and waffles was to die for, sweet enough - no need for maple syrup with tender and crispy large breast portion. The Benedict's were really, really good, but the star was the corn hotcakes. One of them pancakes was the lemon, the other was full of berries. A crumpled was a top and what look like a spoonful of mascarpone in the center. I could eat that every day. This place is incredibly unnoticed. In a better location, there will be lines to get in I'm going back. It will take an hr from the far s burbs where we live but we don't care. I want more.

Parked in front at 7:15 and walked in - was pretty dead on a Saturday. Sat at a table in the front windows and ordered a coffee and an apple juice. Waiter was very nice - decor reminded me of a Cracker Barrel style - and with a small bar it's obvious they do more than just breakfast like their name implies. Ordered a breakfast burrito which comes with skillet potatoes. I liked the flavor of those. The burrito was great - egg, chorizo, avocado, and cheese. We split pancakes as well which were good and came with berries and cream. Really liked it here - the locations are 10-20min away from central CHI but the drive is worth it.
