To be honest, the instructions that came with the kit were confusing for people (me) who don't do jobs like this regularly. Unlike another company we got a quote from, it was clear that Nick read the instructions before coming over for the install as him and his employee were so speedy, didn't have any questions, and did a stellar job on the install. Nick was extremely affordable for the quality of work done. He was extremely punctual, arriving at 9am on the dot, and was respectful of our home. Highly HIGHLY recommend and will be contacting Nick and his team again for future projects.

I have a pretty old master shower that had started leaking a bit which caused some mold issues with…read moresome trim around the wall near the leak. Also, the shower's caulk has degraded to the point where it needed to be replaced along with the shower door (which was the main source of the leak, with Plano water destroying all of the old seals etc)... So it was time to get things looked at. Tony came out and gave a very thorough look at my issues and recommended I get the shower door replaced, caulking re-done, and baseboard trim replaced from the damage that was there. He also suggested I get the dry wall in the damaged area replaced, however I opted not to do this since I have wallpaper and didn't want an empty white area where the new wall would be (I'm willing to accept that the wall behind the damaged area probably needs to be replaced; will most likely use AmeriConstruction to help me out with that down the road when I eventually get all the wall paper removed). Communication was great with Tony. He worked extremely hard getting the right people involved in my project. This being one of my first (what I consider) BIG projects, I had a few companies come and take a look. AmeriConstruction was the most reasonable and the repairs suggested by Tony made the most sense. Other companies were trying to get me to remodel the whole shower or the whole bathroom. They had no interest in just replacing a shower door, baseboard trim, and re-caulking the shower. Tony maintained great contact with me, keeping me up to date with what materials I was responsible vs the contractors. I ended up being in charge of acquiring a replacement shower door from Home Depot, some silicon, caulk, and replacement baseboard. The first day, the contractor came in and replaced the shower door. The installation was professional and quick. They also listened to my concerns about the particular corner that was leaking, and I feel like they went above and beyond making sure I was comfortable the repair for that area of the shower. They even used their own silicone because it's what they trusted which is fine with me. Tony gave me a text/call after the first step was completed and made sure that everything was too my satisfaction so far. So onto the next day (Silicone needed to dry before next part). The next crew showed up to do the baseboard trim replacement and re-caulking the shower. Again, they were very professional and quick. They also listened to my concern about the corner in question. They even suggested adding more caulk underneath the corner (hard to explain), just in case water splashed up into the corner. There had never been caulk there before, they said, but I have no issues with extra protection. Tony gave me a call after that and made sure I was happy with their work as well. Overall it was a fantastic experience, and I'm already lining up some more projects for AmeriConstruction to handle for me. It's my understanding that they literally will do any job, small or large. Things to note: You will most likely be responsible for providing the materials for the project. (Really not that big of a deal, now that I've been through the process). Representatives from AmeriConstruction will do their best to show you the necessary materials needed and where to get them. In fact, one option was for me to get a frameless glass shower door, and they knew someone they worked with that could provide that for me; but for my use-case, I'm not sure frameless would be the way to go, so I went with a framed door from home depot. There was no pressure, either way, just suggestions which speaks to AmeriConstruction high ethics. Fantastic experience! Thanks to Tony and AmeriConstruction for putting my worries at ease and doing a great job on my project! Get ready, I'm lining up a lot more stuff for next year.

There were some problems with sub contractors, but the owners tried to make those things right. 5 years later, it feels like every time we turn around we find another problem. Not cosmetic, but problems with the quality of work. Just a few problems have been trim that didn't get put back up under low windows, shelves mounted with the screws in the wrong place, pebbles left under the flooring, I can go on and on. Our most recent was that a shower door just fell off. As my husband looked at it to put it back up, he found that they had mounted the heavy glass door into the shower surround with nothing behind it for the screws to hold to except some glue!!! Efforts to repair this problem found that they mounted the whole shower surround with nothing behind it but the studs. No shower board, Sheetrock or anything!!! The subcontractors cut corners everywhere possible and no one monitored the quality of work. Use the utmost caution if you hire this company and monitor EVERYTHING because they won't.

The entire process took about a month due to rainy weather. My entire yard was trashed for that month. His workers were messy and used my flower pots as a trash, my outdoor furniture wasn't moved aside for projects and was covered with dust and dirt. They left their lunch in opened trash bags for my dogs to discover. My side trees were cut down 6ft without consultation and some of the cuts were not clean, but ripped off. I was constantly picking up screws, nails, paint chips and somehow they got paint in the dogs water bowl. Sloppy work, they dripped white paint on a black rug, and got paint on my back windows. They removed a piece of outside wood exposing the attic and did not cover it up until days later, after I had to notice it and call Bob. I'm not sure if this was a new crew or what, but there was no "care" taken in their work. I constantly had to call Bob for these problems, which was pretty lame because that was why I was paying him. Overall the repairs I needed done were done but I will not use this company for future house projects.

When I called Greg he was professional, asked good, qualifying questions about the project and set some expectations before we scheduled to meet at my current project house. He was on time, he assessed the work to be done and we agreed on a price. As he stated during our fist call he asked for a couple of hundred bucks to keep his help paid and agreed that the majority of his payment would be paid after he completed the job to my satisfaction. Greg showed up on time each day. He let me know during our first call that his work day was sometimes shortened because of his kids school and activity schedule. He told me at least one day in advance what the next day's schedule would be. Honestly, his schedule didn't seem any different than most contractors I've ever dealt with. His willingness to let me know his schedule in advance and then honor that schedule was a great help to me. His workmanship was top notch. He used good practices and made conscious decisions to do each step correctly while he worked. How refreshing to find someone who cares about their work. Everything he did was quality work. He told me what he was going to do. He did it. Then he told me what he did. Greg did not show up in a $50,000 monster truck. He was not wearing a gold rolex and $500 dollar boots. He did not have a trailer filled with the most expensive tools. He showed up in a reliable truck filled with enough tools to do exactly what I asked him to do. He shared some of his opinions about renovation and I shared some of mine. I deferred to his experience and method on a couple of projects and asked him to do things my way on a few items. It was no big deal for me that Greg had suggestions about how things could be done. I was thankful for a fresh set of eyes to view the same problem and perhaps suggest a new or different method. It was comforting for me to realize that I had a skilled tradesman on my job site. Judging from what I learned about Greg from talking to him and watching him work, I'd say he's been around renovation and construction enough years that he knows how to do a lot of different construction activities. I didn't do a background check on Greg, but I can tell you I left him alone in a house filled with thousands of dollars of my tools and I never once felt like he would steal them. He didn't. I don't know if Greg ever had a DUI or not. I don't care. I'm not the morality police and I don't see what that would or wouldn't have to do with anyones ability to do a good job on a construction site. I was with Greg each day for about a week and I can tell you the stiffest drink we had was iced tea. I will positively use Greg again. I know what good work looks like when it's finished and his work at my location was good.

My honest review of this "business" should you choose to call it that is as follows…read more  First and foremost this "business" does not reside at the address it claims to. The address listed is not only my personal residence but also one that the owner of this "business", Greg Hall, is not allowed within 200 yards of due to domestic violence. A judge ordered him to vacate the premises over a year ago. So it would be a little difficult to handle business from that distance and with those restrictions.  With that being said and also to keep things honest. Greg Hall used to reside at the address above and did do some "work", if you can call it that, allow me to share the highlights: leaky second hand skylight taken from a previous job, added archways to kitchen that also leak, ill fitted reused kitchen sink from a previous remodel for another client, unfinished framing around oven, a "gazebo" made from old rotted doors torn from previous demolition jobs, and his prized possession, a home made urinal crafted from double stacking two regular bathroom sinks. This is just a short list of some of the dozens of well documented "upgrades" he did to our home. Keep in mind that these "upgrades"  were done while he lived at this address. If this is the care and lack of respect he took in "renovating" his own home then what kind of quality can you really expect for a home that he does NOT live in. When it comes to remodeling your home or business I would do yourself a favor and save yourself the headache and take your job to a more reliable, responsible, honest contractor.
