They would send someone out to fix it and it would work for a few days and then break down again. After I made my final payment to them they ignored my request for them to come and fix the system. I ended up having to pay hundreds of dollars to a different company to replace a defective part to get the system to work properly. Edit 11/14/23 I want to expand on my experience with this company given. The owners response to me. Between Dec 2022 and Feb 2023 I made multiple attempts to have my system fixed. I have provided photos that I was ignored by this company. The texts does not include multiple phone calls and voice messages I left that were also ignored. Thanks to an intermediary they finally came to fix the system in March 17 only for the system to brake down again on March 18. My final attempt to have them fix it was on Aug 18. I have provided proof in the photos. Either the owner is being untruthful or someone has been untruthful with him.

He made sure he had the proper permits (one of his competitors told me a permit wasn't needed!), used West Texas cedar, had a wrought Iron solution for a small area, and provided a detailed estimate with the costs clearly broken out. I received bids from two other fence companies, but they were not the same level of professionalism, the material source was unclear, and did not break out what they were going to do at the same level of detail. Southwest Fence was the clear choice for me. The references I checked provided ringing endorsements. I found SWF easy to work with and flexible. They could have been a bit more responsive during the project at returning text/emails (the staining company SW uses never followed up so I did not hire them for staining), but at the same time all of the few concerns/questions I had with the fence were taken care of without me having to ask twice. I was astounded at the meticulous nature of the installation team which worked to ensure their work was exact. They were constantly measuring and leveling the wood to ensure a quality product. The team arrived early each day and did a great job cleaning up each day. We could not be more pleased with the quality of the work and the end product. Since completion I have had several people remark on the beauty and quality of the fence work. When the City of Dallas inspector came by to inspect it, I was very happy there was a permit and the height of the fence matched the permit. I would not hesitate to hire SW Fence and Deck again.

We met with Abe and discussed the various choices for fences and received our estimate. We were…read moreimpressed by the fact that the steel posts are set deeper into the ground and we could choose pre-stained boards to be installed. We decided to proceed and were added to the schedule. The old fence was removed, and new posts were set in anticipation for the boards to be installed after the concrete was set and dried. Our fence was installed in May, 2017 and it is still standing straight! We love our fence! We did have a problem with one of our side gate doors that was warping a few months after installation. This gate door is right off the driveway and used frequently to access our trash and recycling. We contacted Abe and after meeting, it was decided that we would need to add a metal door frame to keep it straight. We paid to add the metal frame in September, 2017 and haven't had any other issues with this gate door. The work crew was very efficient and professional and got the entire board on board fence completed in two days! We're so happy we chose the pre-stained boards. We decided to add the slanted horizontal pieces that deter anyone climbing on the fence. They did have to stain that after it was installed. Everything still looks great 4 years later!

I texted him the next day and called the office number to which I got a message that call wouldn't go through. He still hasn't responded. The fence as it sits and as it has sat since we purchased the home in 2016 is completed from what we can tell as the bare minimum as could be done. Boards randomly tacked up horizontally across the bottom all the way around. I wouldn't have accepted it personally as a job I paid my hard money for but I wanted to give the original builders the opportunity to put in a gate to replace one they originally built as, well, the gate worked and that is all I am looking for now, a new functional gate. They don't want your business apparently. The sign they hang on the fencing is for decoration I guess, because they refuse to answer or contact back, guess they have too much money. I wouldn't recommend because the work I see everyday in my backyard is just not that well done. Oh well, off to find someone to build me a gate..
