I was excited to try this place because the pictures and menu look great but I was extremely disappointed. First off, they were out of meatballs at 12:30. They open at 12... Secondly, we waited close to 1 hour for our meals. (spaghetti without meatballs, 1 pizza and 1 calzone) Thirdly, my pizza was the driest pizza I've ever seen. Where was the balsamic, goat cheese or jam?? I asked for a side of jam so I could add some more myself and by the time they brought it out I didn't want it anymore because the pizza was cold and I didn't want to wait any longer. (The people I was eating lunch with had already finished their meals) Because of this I just asked for it to be taken off the check. Lastly, a man (who I later found out to be the owner) came to our table and was unnecessarily rude to me. He threw the receipt down on the table and his tone was very condescending and unprofessional, talking about how he has to keep the jam in the fridge because of the health inspector so it took long to warm up. The bread that's served with it was something special. The hummus was delicious. The fries and wings are fried in beef tallow, and man could you tell... so crispy and flavorful. They make a their dressings from scratch and don't use seed oils so we tried the ranch and it was really good. The garlic parm and jalamango sauces for the wings were superb. Their breads and pizza crusts are made with sourdough, and are delicious. The cheese bread was some of the best cheese bread I've ever had. The pizzas are also on point. But if I had to offer one suggestion, it would be to order extra cheese on the margherita pizza. This was a great meal, and I will definitely be back to try pastas and calzone. read more

It didn't seem like the AC was working inside, which may have been the reason we were the first people to get to try their new outside patio dining experience. It was certainly cooler outside anyway. Unfortunately without any sort of a breeze the bugs were just ruthless. Little mayflies were just everywhere. A citronella candle or two is definitely recommended here. The pizza and calzone we ordered were delivered crazy fast from their outside oven and were way tastier than I expected. You can really tell the difference between wood fired vs oven prepared pizza. Nothing short of amazing! No wonder they have several Best of NWA awards. The flavors and ingredient choices are top notch. The decor is amazing with purse hooks under every beautiful table...because they were thoughtful about their decor. The decor is different, inviting, and comfortable. Our Server Livie was excellent. We ordered three appetizers, they came out staggered and that was perfect for us. Maybe not for you, but perfect when you want to try so many things and need time to digest in between. They have a great wine list. The hummus had a wonderful herb flavor with a olive oil and garlic crispy bread to go along with it. Absolutely delicious. The chicken wings were wonderfully crisp and were small like wings should be from natural non-steroidal chickens. The ultimate loaded fries had a deliciously crisp flaky texture fried in beef tallow like all things should be. The stuffed truffle bread was light on the truffle flavor, with plenty of cheese, mushrooms, and a perfect crispy crust and a flavor so nice, no dipping sauce was required. My husband decided on the meat pizza with hot honey drizzle. I completely recommend this variation. It was a delicious, sweet and spicy compliment to the wonderful meaty flavors. I was torn between the chicken pesto pizza and the figgy goat. When I let Livie know, she eagerly informed me that I could have both! The best bite was the slice where the flavors of both pizzas met at the edge of the slice. A miraculously melded condition that was pure deliciousness. Each pizza was an delectable set of flavors on its own with a fluffy, crispy crust you didn't want to let go to waste. The pesto! Its a fluffy almost foamy texture with a punch of basil and garlic flavor. It was mmm mmm mmm good in every bite. The figgy goat. I loved it as well. I love goat cheese and wish I could have had a little more and perhaps a little toasted on top, because I love toasted goat cheese...but that is just me. Even their unsweet iced tea was delicious, which is always a good sign. We didn't make it to dessert ordering all of these awesome appetizers and pizzas, but I am sure they won't let you down either. Remember this is a family owned place, so you are not dining at a corporate place who pushes everything out without a thought about quality. Had high hopes for these place from reading their description. My family and I were definitely let down. The service was very slow despite there not being very many customers. The wait staff seemed more interested with visiting with friends or fellow workers than coming back to our table to check on us. The food was just okay, nothing special at all. We were also confused with wood fired being in their name and yet they did most of the cooking in an electric oven. We asked our waitress about that and then we had to request them to make our pizza in the wood fired oven. Based on that visit we would not return. read more

The food and service here was phenomenal. The owner greeted us at our table, checked on us constantly, along with the waitstaff. We ordered the pepperoni pizza (with extra pepperoni) and it was one of the best pizzas we have ever had. The staff were talkative, welcoming, loved to joke around, and even brought us free things to try because they thought we would enjoy it. The bathrooms were also immaculate. Per the older reviews, it seems like they changed ownership recently or something similar. They do not deserve the reviews they have received previously. When I was seated at my table I ordered two starters, the mozzarella sticks and cheese bread. The mozzarella sticks were ok, they had flavor but the cheese was not melted on the inside and the breading was very stiff, the marinara sauce that was served with it also did not have much flavor 6/10. The cheese bread was very bland besides the occasional flavor bomb of garlic and oregano. It had lots of cheese but then again the cheese didn't have much flavor 3.7/10. The last thing I got was the cheese pizza. The cheese was pretty decent quality all though the sauce on the other hand I felt was not the right fit for the cheese, I think the sauce should have been sweeter to match the saltiness of the cheese.
