All the nurses I interacted…read morewith were so nurturing, supportive and let me choose my care and really reassured me I'd be ok the whole time. Specifically shouting out a few nurses that really made a difference for me were Jillian, Bre, Lakita, Katie and Caitlyn (if the names were wrong or spelled wrong I'm sorry, I was a little loopy a lot of the time). Honestly my whole care team was amazing. I'm coming back to this labor and delivery for my next baby because I know I'm going to get the best care.

Today's interview with the Providence Emergency Department Crisis Unit, once again, several people…read moreinitially presented for the interview panel. The Program Coordinator Behavioral Health Services, an LMHC, I would have to say, was the one person who coordinated this interview who had the least social and professional personality and presented as "stand-offish". It was embarrassing that this credentialed individual in my field of work (mental health) would not have better interview skills than this, but it is the reality of Providence that they hired her. The Program Coordinator was vague and uninviting, and when asked about the next step in the interview process, she immediately dodged the question by saying they had several more interviews this week and into next week. However, I asked when I would know the outcome. One interviewer, a manager, struggled to ask his questions (i.e., speaking and coordinating his words were difficult), and another nurse manager asked when I was completing my doctorate, which was already on my resume. The manager who was struggling to speak because my PsyD from an APA-approved university asked that, once I finished, I move to the other state where the degree came from. Before this question, I had already mentioned that I live in Washington, that my family is in Washington, and that this was our "forever" home, but he asked again. The interview began with six participants, but by the end, only three remained on the call. Attendees dropped off while I was answering the interview questions. Leaving a virtual interview abruptly, without explanation, is generally considered unprofessional and discourteous, as it shows a lack of respect for the candidate's time. Although technical issues can occur, professional etiquette suggests that an interviewer should acknowledge the issue, offer an apology if feasible, and arrange a reschedule. Moreover, the meeting was intended to be an interview, but it lacked structure; the questions posed were random and were made spontaneously by each interviewer. Due to the virtual format, we encountered connectivity issues that caused an echo when we spoke, as well as delays in the sound from the management officials. Still, be mindful that this is not how you treat an applicant by making them responsible for resolving connectivity issues and take the time to explain what this job entails. Not one manager took the time to discuss the position. This is an organization that may (or may not) pay well. However, the fact that people in management positions who hire for the emergency department and a crisis unit cannot have better communication or interview skills is clearly wasting massive amounts of money on useless interviews. It leaves an applicant to believe there is no accountability, and if the public does their research, they will find comments like, "...multiple nurses walked by and did not check on me or say anything to the nurse assigned to me. They have that 'if it is not my patient, it is not my problem' attitude..." The response is probably how the staff feel about their job today. Again, I recommend that you save your skills and go somewhere where you feel valued from the start of your interview through the hiring process. Avoid the Providence Health System (especially in Olympia, Washington) as a whole.

There's numerous things that's wrong about this place. Definitely too long to go over again. My Google review would explain in detail. Nevertheless, if you care anything about your love ones please don't take them there. Today a staff member used the restroom in my family members room. Which I feel is inappropriate for start. To make matters worst they clogged the toilet with a BM and left it. Then turned around later and got into a back and forth blaming session about who's actually the blame. Mind you my love one is unable to get out of bed without assistance. So let your common sense ponder on that one. Terrible place and I really hate that I have to say that. But I'm a person that relies highly on reviews, not solely but it does mean something to me. Please do a thorough evaluation before you commit. The price is also through the roof and it changes based on different essential needs. The fee started at $6500.00. So now as I mentioned she's been there barely a month. Admitted the 9th of March and now the fee has ballooned to $7500.00. Good luck and take care.

The staff are always friendly and helpful. My mom didn't want to leave her home of 50+ years as I expect most people don't but with dementia she was having trouble with her medications and doing basic things around her house. Here she is safe and constantly being looked after. Mom sometimes complains food service can be slow and it doesn't taste good to her, but I joined mom for meals twice in the last week and I was very satisfied. (Emma is a sweetheart). It seems they are often short staffed but I don't think that is a problem unique to them and everyone that is there is just great.

My care was transferred to Dr. Ahmad. Despite assurances that everything would be transferred seamlessly and my established treatment plans would be maintained as is, Dr. Ahmad chose to reduce the dosage of my primary source of pain relief by half. Without telling me. No one contacted me to inform me of this, and I would not have even known this change happened if I had not looked at my bottle to make sure I received the correct medication through the mail. Upon requesting an explanation, I was told that the doctor FELT my dosage was "a very high dose for a young female" and admitted to not knowing anything about my case. Yelp is preventing me from sharing the MyChart screenshots... here's a direct copy and paste of the messages: Me: 11:28 AM I'd like to know why my Celebrex was refilled at half strength. I was receiving 200 mg twice a day, and was reduced without notice to 100mg. This is not going to be sufficient for my needs, and with my history of medical mistreatment... this is incredibly triggering and anxiety inducing for me. Jowairiyya S. Guess what? Those providers were not actually accepting new patients. What about providers at one of the two Olympia clinics run by Providence? The earliest appointment available for a new patient annual exam offered to me in my phone call (which I made after it became clear that the website wouldn't enable me to complete this task) was just under five months out. I'm not sure why they would be so profoundly incapable of serving this need, and it is fun to speculate, but the bottom line is that attempting to do this with Providence is apparently not possible in Olympia.
