Matt was very responsive to my calls/texts and answered all my questions. I can understand that if he can't answer right away, he's probably cutting down a tree! So be patient and leave a message, he'll get back to you. He came out to give me an estimate the same day I called and was on time. I felt his quote for the removal of 2 large trees with stump removal and 3 bushes in my front yard was pretty reasonable. Matt and his crew also came out on time to my property to cut down the trees. He has his own equipment to do the job and completed it all on the same day as well. All and all, he was very professional and made sure everything was cleaned up before he left my property. I'd recommend him to anyone who's looking for tree services. read more

Matt did a nice job cleaning up some tree limbs and taking down a dead tree. I would use him again!

Set a date, time and cost with Matt to trim our plan tree. The day of, he never showed up. After we called and text him numerous times, we never heard back from him. Very poor customer service. read more

Artisan All Tree - Tree Services Near Me

Found this company through family as he came and saved a cat from a tree. Decided to hire him for quite a few trees we need taken out. The first one was supposed to come down yesterday, got a call that he would be here at 8:30am today instead. Today is here and he rolls up 30 minutes late and says his back hurts already looking at it and that it's a big tree. Ok well we've been waiting and you said you'd handle it no prob so let's get it done. He and his two employees proceed to spend an hour sharpening chainsaws, thinking maybe that should've been done before the job 9:45am he tells us he can take the tree down but he cannot haul it out despite that being the deal. We get a land clearing company out within 30 minutes; that company agrees they can get it all out this weekend and to just get it on the ground. So tree-man comes down in price $1,000 due to the fact he can't complete the job and we have to pay another company to haul away the tree. It's now 10:45-he lets us know he has gone down the street for lunch. Asked for a copy of his insurance policy, no reply. 11:45-12:30 multiple texts sent; no replies. We gave him numerous opportunities yet he flaked without even a response while we sat at home and waited for him to return. Sure he'll save your kitten out of a tree but don't expect any actual work to be done. read more

I am sad to say I have been using Matt for 6yrs. He had always done a fantastic job. However, I had him out to give an estimate. We agreed on a price, set up a date to have job done. Then I received a text saying that he under bid the job and now wanted double the price. I told him I couldn't afford the new price. So we agreed that he would do half the work for prior agreed price again we set the day for work to start. He never showed up, never canceled. I sent multiple text. He finally answered and said he couldn't do it for that price. I think it's really sad he didn't honor the quote he gave. The worst thing is just not showing up for a job. read more

I have to give Matt and crew 5 stars. I had about 10 large pine trees that succumbed to the beetle problem here on my disc golf course in the foothills and have had a few folks come out to take a look...none were very interested in the job for some reason. I was referred to Matt by a buddy who has done some work with him so I gave him a call and received a call back soon thereafter. I described the situation and he had no hesitation in setting an appointment for that same day to bid the job, even though he had to drive up here an hour away AND it was Memorial Day. After a tough negotiation, we decided on a price and he and a 4 or 5 man crew were here that same week. There were some slight modifications to the agreement we had to re-negotiate day of but no big deal. They completed the job before dark, ground up all the trees into mulch, left some and hauled some away per agreement. I gave him and all the employees a tip for such a good performance. I'm sure the beetles will bring him back some day. read more

My kitten got stuck in our very tall liquidambar tree (70ft) in our backyard and was stuck up there all night. The fire department had come earlier that morning and said if she came down lower they might be able to get her (nice/s), she had climbed all the way to the top in a span of 24 hours. Matt was up the tree and had her within 20 minutes. He was so sweet to her, and I could tell he really wanted to help! If this ever ever happens to us again, I'll call him as soon as she goes up. He refused the first amount I offered to pay him for his services, and accepted half. THANK YOU so much, from myself and my little Stevie Nicks. read more

Matt called me. He set the day and we agreed on the time for him to come by to see my tree in need and give me an estimate to trim large tree. No show and no phone call read more

Matt is very efficient and charged a very good price compared to some other estimates I received. Will be using him again for my tree needs.

I am so done with this company. I had an appt scheduled for 9/26 for 5. At 530 I called to seecwgat happened, I was told his truck broke down...okkkk. so no call to notify me?? I decided to give them another shot so I call 9/27 to reschedule for later that day. He said,he could come at 5 again...here it is 540...I keep getting a voicemail. How very unprofessional of this company. Guess back to the drawing board for a tree trimmer. read more

I recommend you do a background check before thinking of hiring this company to come on to your property. My neighbor actually hired these guys to remove about 10 Texas Privets which the trees were located on my side of the fence, In the process of removing the trees, this company managed to break FOUR sprinklers, bust TWO pvc pipes, break branches off my cherry blossom (damaged while bringing down the privet trees). It took Matt 2 days to repair their sloppy job and didn't even complete his mess!!! read more

Artisan Tree Servcies is the company to go for when you need trees removal and stump grinding . They did a great job removing  and stumps grinding our 9 pine trees located around the house.  The owner, Matt and his crew are professional and competent. They had all the equipment and expertise necessary to make the job easy and effortless. While they were in our property , two of our neighbors came over and had contracted them to do tree services as well.  Quality work, reasonable price, great and kind workers, and great clean up after the job.  Great Job and hight recommend to anyone looking for realiable tree services. read more

I had a Major job. 5 large trees, 1 medium, and 3-5 stumps. The trees were not watered well for decades, and the roots were everywhere in the lawn. Matt and his team did exceptional work! They had to remove some fence to access the back yard, and replaced it like original. They were meticulous about cleaning up all the debris, and removed all the extra chips and leaves. I couldn't find any attached roots, and there thousands of feet before they started. They left the soil ready for me to till in topsoil and lay new sod. I was super pleased and should highly recommend his company! read more

Had a 25 ft tall Chinese Elm tree come down in the Oct 21 'Bomb cyclone.' I called around and in 24 hours had 5 quotes ranging from $750 to $3,500 with lead times of up to 2 months. Matt came by that day, and had a very competitive bid for next day service. I said "go" the next morning, and all was gone and cleaned up by the end of the day. Remarkable service. I will call him again if I have a need. read more

Matt and his crew did an excellent job trimming and cleaning up our trees. The work was treacherous and messy. They took care to get the branches off of utility wires. They cleaned and removed all the trimmings. He was also responsive and on time. I recommend this company. read more

Matt did a great job on my trees. Clean up as well. Reasonable fee. Thank you Matt.

Called to get a quote, Matt said he would come right over (in 30 minutes) and never showed. Called him hours later with no response. Must be really busy or really unreliable to forget where you are scheduled to be within minutes of speaking to someone. How people like this run a business I will never know. read more

Wish I could give them 10* rating. Awesome crew very professional. My yard was cleaner when they left then it was when they got there. Pricing was very competitive. They are an honest get it done company. read more

Apologized for arriving 5 minutes late - can't remember the last time any service person was so prompt and courteous. Had all the necessary tools, chippers, etc. and a crew of three. Covered our huge pool with a tarp to ensure no mess. Did an amazing job of trimming hard to reach branches on a number of large bushes that a neighbor had let grow wild for years. We can see the sun again from our pool. Despite removing a lot of growth did so very selectively - more an arborist than a "hacker." Responded to requests to do a couple of small additional areas with a "no problem." Absolutely the best we have ever used - highly recommend. read more

UNRELIABLE!!!! Matt started off great, he showed up with his crew, trimmed my palms and charged a reasonable rate. Subsequently, it was extremely difficult to get Matt to return calls and when he did finally do so, he would schedule an appointment and not show up. As a result of several no shows and his inability to return calls or texts, I have finally decided to find a more reliable person / company to do the job. I do not recommend this company for the mere fact that you will never know if they feel like showing up at their scheduled appointment. read more

Had an appointment scheduled for a tree pruning quote yesterday (Monday) and waited 1 1/2 hours for the service to show up. I finally called their office and she said that their truck had broke down. So reschedule for tomorrow, as I did. Appointment was for 12:00 pm today, it is 2:30 pm and no truck, no call. Poor communication and service. Two wasted afternoons! read more

Very pleased with Matt and his crew at Artisan All Tree. I'm picky and want work done properly the first time without any surprises. Matt delivered with flying colors, remembering every detail and knowing what needed to be done. He was very good about confirming what I wanted for each tree to make sure I was getting exactly what we wanted. It was clear I was dealing with a guy who knows what customers like and what trees need. Matt also has an eye for detail and aesthetics - he shaped our 6 large oak trees into a beautiful compliment to our landscape and views. His crew went the extra mile by cleaning up our yard so that it actually looked better than when he left than when he first arrived for the job. A+ for results, work ethic, professionalism, friendliness, and all at a reasonable price. I will definitely hire Matt again! read more

We had an appointment at 11:00 at 11:30 I called the company. The person I spoke to said she would call me back, she returned my call stating she was unable to get ahold of the guy who was supposed to be here. She said she would call me when she heard from him. It's been a week, I guess she never heard from him. I also tried calling 2 more times the day of my appointment later in the afternoon with no answer. read more

Needed to remove 9 40ft plus White Birch trees in my backyard. Lot of concern as there is little room, fences, swimming pool, redwoods all in the way. Matt gave me a very reasonable quote and took time to really understand what was needed. He showed up on time, got right to work, and was safety minded. Job was done on time, and instead of having all of it hauled away we agreed to his team cutting 16" length firewood and stacking it for me. At the end of the job the pool and yard was all cleaned of all debris. Could not be more pleased with the job and the cost. This is a small business trying to get established and I highly recommend. read more

I spoke with Matt and we set an appointment for 5PM on 9/22/15. I was home the entire afternoon but I never heard from him again. Perhaps we didn't share phone numbers or my address? But then he should have had my number as we talked via cell and my number is not blocked. Ummm. If there is a reasonable explanation, I will do an appropriate follow-up review. read more

Very pleased with the job Matt & his crew did trimming and thinning out 5 trees in my yard. They kept the yard clean as the work was being done. They were professional but fun & personable. I will recommend them to friends & family, and anyone needing tree work done. read more

Great tree trimming service. We have a very large tree in our front yard that needed some serious trimming, as the wind kept breaking off large branches. Matt did an excellent job thinning and shaping our tree. I was a bit nervous to get it trimmed at first, because I love the tree and did not want it butchered, but he did an excellent job! I am so pleased! He is a bit hard to get on the phone initially, but keep calling. He and his team are well worth it. read more

Matt did NOT do the typical upfront dog and pony show and his proposal was very competitive so we went with him........he and his crew got here right on time..... took down 3 large, dead trees and cut them up for firewood..... stacked the wood where we wanted it....trimmed a dozen more trees....got it all done in 1 day because everyone in his crew worked hard...... left our property near immaculate.....Matt did more than we expected and did so with a refreshing attitude.........all for a fair price........we give him a 5 plus. read more

Awesome tree service! I called Matt and he came and gave me a quote the next day. He was back with his crew in less than a week. They worked their butts off and did a fantastic job safely for an exceptional price. When they finished I was blown away with how well they cleaned everything up. They made a lasting impression on me and I will be a customer for life. I highly recommend Artisan All Tree to anyone in the area! Thank you for a great job guys! read more

The owner hung up on me and declined to answer my return phone call when I called inquiring about a climbing position. It was less than 30 seconds into our conversation, when I asked what the name of his company was, and again asked about the "All Tree" after Artisan. I was having a hard time understanding what he was saying on the phone. I'm glad I will not be working with an owner as impatient as this. In an industry categorized, "the deadliest civilian occupation in the world" per 100,000 workers, communication is a key element to performing the job safely. A person unwilling to clarify the name of their company to a potential new employee, is likely unwilling to communicate well in stressful situations on the job. I left a message for the owner explaining I was not trying to be rude, but have not heard back. read more
