This is a good place for wings and drinks. The poutine is also so good. They have a band on Fridays and the singer is pretty good.

We've eater there maybe 100 times. Almost always great service. Meals are usually served perfect. Always a fantastic night out when they get Shaun Savoy to perform. Karaoke isn't good because the lady who hosts likes to sing even though there are people waiting their turn. read more

I had supper this evening at Arthur's Pub. Wednesdays are cheap burger and cheap Keith's night. I ordered classic wings with medium sauce with ranch and carrots on the side. The manager doesn't know what the hell she is doing and should not be in this industry at all. ** READ FULL REVIEW ** Me and my girlfriend got highly recommended to come to Arthur's pub so we drove an hour for our date night. The moment we walked in the waitress smelled like she's drank everything the bar has to offer I'm surprised she even brought our food to us without falling over. We ordered the bacon Wrapped dill pickles, my main was a Buffalo chicken poutine and the ultimate grilled cheese burger. This is where everything went south. My girlfriend ordered the bruschetta chicken and pesto with sweet potato fries, after waiting a half an hour outside on the patio, her first fork she moved a Brussel sprout out of the way and a fu**ing bug had come out of her veggies!!! YES YOU HEARD ME... STILL ALIVE. STILL WALKING. It was alive then flipped over and died on the plate we sat their and watched it... Our waitress then got the "manager"... she said this is the chance we took for eating outside on a beautiful day, there wasn't a bug in sight ... she said one could have landed in the plate or if their was a bug it would have been cooked and not alive on the plate.. she didn't do anything to correct her mistake she tried to blame it on us for eating outside. Then proceeded to say she would take the meal off the bill and asked if she was going to re order the same dish or if she was finished eating.. when we just got our plates? So she ended up getting the same meal re made without a bug in it. Now we're thinking cause of the mistake my girlfriends meal is free because of the fu**ing bug that was in it. Her second try at the same meal she found a blonde hair in it...but decided not to complain again and just wanted to leave we got the bill and we got charged for her meal after this whole bug incident I said my gfs meal was suppose to be off the bill you said & she rudely said sorry their must have been some miscommunication there since you re ordered we had to charge you it wasn't free when she said it was... & I got the ultimate grilled cheese that comes with a side said I would like the Buffalo chicken poutine and I got charged full price of 16.95 as another entree... nothing was done to correct the issue we got blamed for everything, you think you would correct the issue to keep new comers coming back.. this place needs a BAR RESCUE, the manager needs to be fired. This place is unsanitary after what happened on our date night and we will NOT be coming back. You're better off going to McDonald's at least they care about their customer service & if their is an issue they resolve it the right way not like this so called manger did. This was a one a done. Not sure how this place is still running. Sat down and was quickly asked what I wanted to eat but had not seen a menu yet. Once I got the menu it took a while to get the order in and once we did it took way too long to cook, seeing as I only got pancakes. Once I got The food it was all undercooked and raw; after sending it back the second batch was just the same. Gave up at this point and left. Feel bad for The servers as they have to take the flack for the clearly untrained chefs. Also the $3 coffee tasted like burnt water. read more

Came here for my grandmother's 93rd birthday. We came in groups. While waiting for nan to arrive, the waitress didn't even bother to come to the table and ask if we wanted a drink or something. We had balloons at nans side of the table and most places would acknowledge the birthday girl, but no one did. Even nan was not impressed. Food: There were 6 of us. 5/6 food were not good. The bangers were not cooked but my aunt being someone who did not want to tell anyone m, took them home so she can cook it more. I do not recommend the lobster roll, pulled pork or the Reuben sandwich. My uncle ordered the safest choice which was the fish and chips. We come here each year on Christmas Eve as a tradition for the past 4 years, and the food has always been good. I do not understand why it was so bad this time. read more

I've stopped in a number of times and will continue to return. Great pub, great atmosphere and every staff member is polite, professional and a sheer joy to be around. Very warm, welcoming making you glad to be there, and excited to return back again. The food is amazing, I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered. I can vouch for the chicken caesars, the Guinness baked Brie and would highly recommend any of the boxtys. Worth a visit! read more

I have never had a restaurant tell me that they could not put someone on a wait list. Weren't even the slightest bit accommodating. Staff was incredibly rude and was shaking head while myself and others were talking instead of trying to listen. I'm serious need of customer service training. read more

A nice night in the pub with Celtic band, not too loud so as to interrupt the dinner. We started with Reuben bites that promised to have sour kraut but I didn't taste it, they were just ok. I had the French onion burger touted to be made with all local ingredients, it was fantastic with the fresh cut fries. My girl had the turkey dinner as it was thanksgiving she reports that it too was delicious. Atmosphere is awesome and the food came quickly. read more

Stayed in the attached best western so this seemed like an easy convenient place to grab dinner. Standard British pub atmosphere, lots of black wood walls, little nooks on multi levels. Service was mediocre, food took 50 minutes after sitting down at our table and the place only had a handful of occupied tables. The hostess looked so disinterested and out of touch but maybe she was having a bad day. The pretzel bun burgers were good, fresh made patties helped. Everything was quite greasy but that is by design when you go for burgers and fries. Don't go just for the food, go for a pint and maybe some atmosphere when the entertainment starts up later at night. read more

A group of six of us showed up for drinks and appetizers on New Year's Eve. While making our reservation, we were informed that none of the specials would be any different because of New Year's Eve. After being seated we were informed that the daily special was cancelled and the special on the menu in front of us was invalid. There was zero compensation offered by management, even though the advertised specials could not be honoured. We were extremely disappointed with how management handled the situation, and believe that an advertised special should be honoured once you are seated or compensation should be offered. read more

The pros: +Atmosphere +The service +The beer selection, especially that they offer one from Cobourg's William Street Brewery +The music was barely audible (which is the way I prefer it as I want to be able to talk w/my family - and I'm not referring to the live music). The cons: - The food, especially that they seem to rely on giving you lots of starches and not so much meat or veg. It seems like a blatant effort to cut costs. For ex, while the _taste_ of my beef & mushroom pie was fine, 1/2 of the filling was potatos, all of which was wrapped in pastry dough, and the only choice of a side dish was either more potatos or rice.
